While I agree that this war is *BAD*, it's also important to realize that USA did pay $2 billion to create Al Queada (but was called the Mujahideen).
Guess what? USA still influences the organization! Can you REALLY imagine USA CIA creating / paying for a $2-3 billion organization and then just forgetting about it??!?!?! Yeah, right!!!

re: Mujahadin & Bin Laden & Al Queada connection.
What's most pathetic is the connection follows Bush -- his Dad paid for them, and his son 'reaped' the attack & then got to steer public policy to attack places he wanted to WHILE still chatting with the Bin Laden family. DISGUSTING
Anyway, thought I'd comment b/c you came by my blog - rekzkarz.com - & said hello. THANKS
The unfortunate outcome of funding the enemy of our enemy (USSR) should have taught Washington a lesson, but unfortunately, Obama doesn't have a grasp of history. If he did, he wouldn't have tried many of FDR's failed programs.
R-E must be rather young if he only remembers the Bushes. Carter gave us the present mess in Iran by removing the Shah. Actions and taking sides have consequences.
