How Christians contributed to sexual confusion

New York now has an x plan for birth certifications.  Baby can be male, female or nothing.

Birth control and abortion are basic tenets of feminism which is rooted in Marxism and anti-western values. Women must give their lives to the state, not to family. American Christian churches began accepting birth control around 1930 after the Anglicans decided it was OK. The result was surging divorce rates, living together without marriage, and same sex marriage, because once marriage no longer includes procreation, it too has lost its value. In a very short time we now have a culture that doesn't even recognize biological sex, let alone God's plan for marriage.

Your heart may be in the right place, but your hand is in my purse.  All studies show that marriage of the parents of children is the #1 way to reduce poverty in the U.S.A. With married parents, a child has only about 8% chance of being raised in poverty. A better house, or a better education doesn't do it. Lunch programs from USDA distributed by church volunteers doesn't make a dent. Social justice workshops and summits for sure don't either, except maybe to tamp down a little liberal guilt if the Bible falls open to Matthew 25.

Imagine that! We're educated. We're professionals. And we actually care for the poor and weak instead of asking the government to do it!! And if secular liberals just say the right words evangelicals will fall for their line and stop obeying Jesus and fall in line with Rome.

She did her anthropological study of Christians at Vineyard churches, so possibly those Christians need to be on the watch for wolves dressed as sheep.  “Their members tend  to be white and middle class, although not exclusively. Their congregations are more likely to meet in gyms, not in actual church buildings, and like their surroundings they are informal. They are more likely to have a rock band than a choir, and they use contemporary Christian music rather than traditional hymns (although they may incorporate a hymn into the service). Marisa's Take: Occupy Wall Street looks like church to me

The Occupy Wall Street movement where crowds of the ignorant, uninformed and unwashed, most of whom have never voted, have taken over private property and obstructed freedoms of other citizens. They are demanding the wealth of others to pay off their debt and greed. (You don’t need to be wealthy to lust after others belongings or God wouldn't have included it in the commandments.) Marisa Egerstrom, a PhD candidate in religious history, and a member of Protest Chaplains thinks the OWS looks like something built on Christ’s teaching, life, death and resurrection. Sorry Marisa, we aren’t reading the same Gospel. I had a number of classes in Russian and Soviet history, used to translate Russian medical material to earn my college tuition, and had a Chinese roommate in college whose family fled the massacres by Mao. The OWS really looks a lot like people demanding national socialism, not realizing that they are useful idiots, expendable in the next stage of the movement/revolution, just so much fodder to get people worked up.

I wonder how CNN would cover honest believers witnessing to the protesters about Jesus death and ressurection on their behalf.

No preconditions for the tea party with Ahmadinejad

And we’re not talking about misinformation passed out by Joe Biden at last week's debate, either. No, it's the religious Left (and some not so religious, and a few not so Left). The Christians, of course, were simply following their community organizer's command some 2000 years ago to "Go therefore and eat together and hold a dialogue, but forget about worshiping me and baptizing them; just use your own plan."

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad earlier in the day had delivered his usual rant against Israel and the United States at the United Nations. But hosting religious officials, anxious for dialogue, were undeterred. Nor were they were intimidated by boisterous demonstrators outside their Manhattan hotel, where some placards demanded: "No Feast with the Beast."

Who’s responsible for this travesty?

The Mennonite Central Committee, the Americans Friends Service Committee (Quakers), the World Council of Churches' UN Liaison Office and Religions for Peace. About 300 religious representatives attended, mostly American church officials, but also including the Council on American-Islamic Relations, leftist Jewish Renewal movement chief Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb, a Zoroastrian priest, and former Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Bondevik, a Lutheran minister.” . . .“The other denominations that sent representatives to the Iftar dinner included the United Methodist Church, Episcopal Church and Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), all of which, along with the UCC, have recently rejected anti-Israel divestment initiatives, thanks partly to appeals from American Jews.”

The National Council of Churches, in an unusually wise move for a left of center Christian group, boycotted the party for Amadinejad due to his hateful language, behavior, and screwed up views of history.

Then there was the usual, naive woman asking questions later.

“United Methodist Women's chief Harriett Jane Olson told Reuters afterwards that she wished Ahmadinejad had talked about "practical issues" such as the treatment of women and children in Iran instead of abstract theology."
