I care about the environment, but not a carbon tax or silly waste of money

Let me be very clear. God told us to take care of the earth, but spending $100 trillion over 100 years to reduce the climate temperature 3/10 of a degree is not part of God's plan. Let's at least clean up the water in Flint, first. Let's stop releasing balloons into the atmosphere. Stop dumping trash from your car to the roadways. Stop removing the fence rows around the fields so birds have no place to nest. When you walk your dog, the one you say is just like family, clean up the poop. Stop lobbyists from urging Congress to compile new regulations for "sustainable" this and that which put a burden on the middle class and keep minorities locked up in deteriorating neighborhoods because the newer areas are doubled in price with environmental regulations. Let's stop killing the unborn, some of whom just might have the solutions. Then for those that do make it through the birth canal and grow up to attend college, stop their professors from force feeding them nonsense about race and sex.

Flint and Detroit

Flint, MI sort of stole the news last week, because I don't remember seeing much about this union protest in front of Obama's venue in Detroit. I haven't been watching much news lately, so maybe I missed other stories of Democrat contolled unions and black groups protesting when Obama’s in town, which if he were Bush, would be a call for total rebellion. There must be a lot of corruption in the city government if they can't make schools tick with $16,000 per student plus all the other wealth transfer programs.
"According to the U.S. Department of Education, just 8 percent of Detroit eighth-graders can read proficiently. And just seven in 10 students graduate. Detroit public schools spend roughly $16,000 per pupil per year but the schools have many code and building violations. (All Democrat mayors since 1962.) The unionized teachers went on strike last week with complaints about conditions and charter schools. The protest was outside Cobo Center before President Barack Obama's visit to the auto show." Who is to blame for the water in Flint, Michigan?

Candidates for the highest office in the land were finger pointing about the lead in the water supply of Flint, MI at the Democrat debate Sunday. It appears to be a collection of problems and decisions shared by the local, state and federal (EPA) governments over many years. Since they’ve been in government their entire adult lives and are progressives/socialists, they need to look at the fingers pointing back at them as they conclude more government solves everything.

Some would say, no use assigning blame, let's just clean it up.  Of course, that's a given. There are children suffering and some will be damaged for life.  After Cher and other celebs move on to a new cause with which to get publicity, the townspeople will still need water.  But unless we also realize that bigger, more bloated and richer government bureaucracies are not the answer to all our problems, the next time it will be a building blown up, or a virus released, or baby tissue sold to the highest bidder (oh, wait. . . .)
