Searching the blog

The search widget on my blog is not working.  I looked at the discussion forum and many are having this problems.  Someone provided a code for a work around until it is fixed, but I couldn’t figure that out either.

The addon script

The addthis widget: Anyone else having a problem with the "Share" widget? This blog's been loading slowly and slowly wiggling and shaking the last two days. I reset the PC for March 8 and that didn't help. I took off two recent posts. Didn't help. It appeared to be the "share" widget I added at least 2 weeks ago. So I've removed it. We'll see. . . Now it looks like the Share button in the Google bar is hesitating, too. I think someone outside this office screwed up.

Added a new widget--a Google search for my blogs

Trying to remember what is where in my twelve blogs is a bit of a challenge. Each blog has a little search window at the top, and that is useful, and I can go into edit and look at all my subject headings (tags). However, while poking around the widgets I found I could the Google search. At first, I couldn't figure out what it would do, but I added it anyway (it shows at the bottom of this page). With this search feature, I can search any topic I may have written about, for instance "Lutheran" that I may have posted here or at one of my other blogs. Try it with "Mt. Morris" and quite a bit comes up.

If your link has disappeared,

not to worry. I'm just struggling through some changes. Eventually. . . I'll get this figured out.

I much prefer coding to squeezing things into "widgets." I can't use my scroll feature; can't put my changing quote where I want it. I used so many widgets they rolled off my layout screen and I couldn't see them, although they were there. So I did it over and put all the blogrolls in one widget instead of three, two site meters in one widget instead of two, and so forth. Anyone else who changed to layout from template having that problem? Blogging used to be much easier.
