Cloward-Piven perfect storm

A story in the Washington Post highlights a number of times the Obama administration was warned of the growing crisis on the border. For instance, a 2012 report by the Women's Refugee Commission spelled out the growing number of unaccompanied minors at the border which started in the fall of 2011. Why did they wait for it to be a crisis? Cloward-Piven, anyone?

Thirty Border Patrol agents were assigned in August 2013 to drive the children to off-site showers, wash their clothes and make them sandwiches. As soon as those children were placed in temporary shelters, more arrived. An average of 66 were apprehended each day on the border and more than 24,000 cycled through Texas patrol stations in 2013. In a 41-page report to the Department of Homeland Security, the team from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) raised alarms about the federal government’s capacity to manage a situation that was expected to grow worse. . .

“There were warning signs, operational folks raising red flags to high levels in terms of this being a potential issue,” said one former senior federal law enforcement official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk candidly about internal operations.

It’s not that Obama is incompetent or dumb.  But the alternative is much more serious.

“Before the 1994 Republican takeover, Democrats had sixty years of virtually unbroken power in Congress - with substantial majorities most of the time. Can a group of smart people, studying issue after issue for years on end, with virtually unlimited resources at their command, not come up with a single policy that works? Why are they chronically incapable?”  The author announced this warning in 2008—before Obama was in office.

Why?  Cloward-Piven and the manufactured crisis.

Frances Fox Piven must be watching Egypt closely with longing

She recently mused about the need for our people to gather in the street and show their anger.
"In December, Piven wrote a piece for The Nation wherein she encourages the unemployed to get angry and says that an effective jobless movement in the United States should mirror those found in Greece and England:

“So where are the angry crowds, the demonstrations, sit-ins and unruly mobs? After all, the injustice is apparent. Working people are losing their homes and their pensions while robber–baron CEOs report renewed profits and windfall bonuses. Shouldn’t the unemployed be on the march? Why aren’t they demanding enhanced safety net protections and big initiatives to generate jobs?

An effective movement of the unemployed will have to look something like the strikes and riots that have spread across Greece in response to the austerity measures forced on the Greek government by the European Union, or like the student protests that recently spread with lightning speed across England in response to the prospect of greatly increased school fees.”

In February 2009, Piven indicated that there needs to be “tumult disorder pressure” that would ultimately force President Obama to “make choices.” She also went on to cite what she dubbed great moments of American change, which she stated began with elections and were coupled with “powerful, disruptive, unruly movements from the bottom of society.” Examples of how to bring about much-needed change, according to Piven include, “striking for example or by blockading the streets or by shutting down the schools.” Glenn Beck vs. Frances Fox Piven

Their Mubarak, our Barak. She's essentially asking people to rise up against Obama--who else holds that safety net? Higher unemployment, brought on by our government's foolish stimulus policies is just what she and other leftists are looking for to get the people steamed up and streaming into the streets.

Of course, it will be Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin's fault, not hers. Or maybe she plays well in Egypt?

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there

I think that's a good paraphrase of Obama's speech on the oil spill. Even the left stream media is totally confused trying to parse this mess. Has he changed speech writers? Puppet masters? String makers? Teleprompter companies?
"It’s safe to say Chris Matthews has lost that tingly feeling down his thigh. It took only seconds after President Obama concluded his Oval Office address for Matthews and co-host Keith Olbermann to rip into the President for what they perceived as a lack of leadership and direction, and, especially in Matthews’ case, and over-reliance on meritocracy."
Obama is clearly a CPA--Cloward, Priven, Alinksy.

Obama, Cloward-Piven and the Oil Spill

The Cloward-Piven Strategy is to bring about the demise of capitalism by overloading the system, largely by making more people desperate and dependent on the government. So don't assume that Obama's incompetence in health care, in immigration, in the environment, in the Middle East, or in the Gulf isn't part of an overall strategy.

Stu Tarlowe writes: "Thus, Cloward-Piven's goals are served by more and more aliens flooding across the border and filling jails, emergency rooms and welfare rolls. It is also served by the mortgage crisis; in fact, Professors Cloward and Piven were the creators of ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), which helped pressure banks to implement the lending policies that precipitated that crisis. But Cloward-Piven seeks a financial crisis far wider-ranging and more encompassing than a mere mortgage meltdown.

So if the oil spill in the Gulf manages to destroy the fishing and tourist industries in that region, shut down oil drilling, raise the price of oil and of food all over the country, and bring more and more Americans to a financial breaking point and thus dependent on food stamps and other government programs, Obama and Co. will smile and nod at one another as the Cloward-Piven strategy hums merrily along."
