By now--update on the boosters

In the last two days I've heard of several folks who have Covid, one is in the hospital, but no one I know personally. I'm told the cases are increasing, the hospitals are crowded, and I suspect we'll soon be getting scare warnings, and pressure to do all the things that didn't protect us in 2021-22. 

By now, what the MSM/CDC/WHO and Big Pharma don't mention is that virtually the only people getting it or dying from it have been vaccinated/boosted, some 3-4 times. Quite a change from what we were told in 2020 while waiting for the first one.

By now, we also know that myocarditis in young adults who've had the vax is NOT rare, although that's what we're being told by the same people who told us the vaccine would stop the spread. But even if it were rare, a scar on the heart is not a good thing for a young person's future.

By now, we know there was no reason to be vaccinating children and babies. It's just far too rare in that demographic. 

By now we know this was a violation of the Nuremberg Code, principals established after WWII to prevent experimenting on people without their permission or knowledge of the results. mRNA injections for this disease are still FDA approved for emergency use. Millions were given no choice about taking it even though long term (like years) results couldn't be known.

By now we've seen the profits and know this has been a fabulous income stream for the large pharmaceutical companies, especially as the disease evolves and new boosters must be created (and recommended/mandated).

By now many of the "conspiracy theories" have been proven to be common sense based on years of research and knowledge of previous public health and pandemic measures.

By now the premier medical journals have been shown to be useful for lining your bird cage, but not much else.

Sound of Freedom movie--what's the controversy?

Why are some in the MSM and Americans deep in the Democrat political pool denying the truth and seriousness of the film, "Sound of Freedom," with Jim Caviezel playing Tim Ballard? It's a film about a modern abolition movement and underground railroad to free children in sex slavery. With most crimes, it's follow the money.

1. Trafficking in persons (TIP) is the 3rd largest industry in the world, with arms being #1, and illegal drugs #2. It's hard to get a firm fix on the dollars, but ILO claimed $150 Billion for labor trafficking (2014), and other international sources say 70% of that is sex trafficking of women and children. It's a "renewable" product, and once someone is enslaved the money continues to roll in for the owner or syndicate, unlike the illegal drug industry when the commodity is gone when sold, smoked or ingested. In the sex industry, it's 100% on return of investment.

2. Sex trafficking is closely tied to the pornography industry, which is also a global multi-billion dollar industry. Statistics for this industry are for 2023, whereas most government statistics are 2-3 years behind. It's about $97 billion. Pornography is the gate way drug for the consumer, and the training manual for the victims.

 
3. Technology--Big Tech--is right in the middle of all this slime and degradation. Internet porn is probably a third of the recurring business and the image of a woman or children, both boys and girls, and be reused thousands of times, enslaving the consumer in the privacy of his/her home while revictimizing the victim, who may be dead or long ago out of the industry. It's "clean" on subscription with just a few clicks. The income is beyond your imagination. That's why the stats are all over the place.

 
4. The sex trafficking and labor and debt bondage are all tied together. We Americans consume many products produced by forced labor, maybe something small like elements in our smart phones or huge like the windmills on the prairies. Africa and China primarily are the source for just those 2. The List of Goods Produced by Child Labor or Forced Labor comprises 159 goods from 78 countries and areas, as of September 28, 2022. (Dept. of Labor) Here you get into the money of Politics. I can't claim to know the routes and how-to's, but getting Washington to clean up its act will take massive political will from the PEOPLE. If we have politicians who refuse to watch a movie because they are afraid of Christians or conservatives, the quagmire is deep and wide, and money is at the bottom of the pit.

Where do you get your information?

Gary asked, "Where do you get your information?"  He watches only MSNBC and CNN--two channels that pretend to be objective and fair, but repeat the Democrat party talking points, in my opinion.  That is a great question, however, something all librarians and teachers emphasize when teaching research skills. And it’s essential for him particularly to ask because so much of the news is infused with opinion, not research, and he spends a lot of time watching news from one viewpoint. His method is why librarians and teachers usually don’t accept “magazines” as a valid source when teaching research. Some won’t even accept an encyclopedia, which is a shame, in my opinion. I love encyclopedias, and most articles are signed. Not many people own the 11th, 12th, and 13th editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica, but I do.

When I give an opinion, it’s that. Norma’s opinion. When I quote, I try to always cite the source, and my opinion may be learned from others over time, but by checking their sources. Dennis Prager’s recent tirade against Biden reflects mine, but I’ve followed Prager for years. He’s been on radio for 40 years, is Jewish, loves music, literature, politics, has great wisdom, and supports young conservative influencers like Candace Owens, Will Witt and Charlie Kirk who have gone on to their own careers. My opinions are primarily built on my values, even if I don’t think about it. Christian, anabaptist, conservative fiscally, formed by the region I’ve lived in (Midwest U.S.), the language I speak, race/culture, college education, and career. However, my entire life I’ve been pro-life, even before I understood the science and politics of taking the life of a baby in the womb. Even in second grade, I remember thinking evolution was ridiculous and anti-science, because yes, evolution was being taught as truth at Forreston elementary in the 1940s. I learned to pretend I learne it, to answer the questions on the tests correctly, and not rock the boat. I love science—and I see my values about creator/created confirmed every day, especially astronomy and all the “new” critters found at the bottom of oceans. Love that stuff!

When it is rate, number, percentage, average, median, year, I am usually relying on a government or academic source (since academics have government grants it’s hard to know where one stops and the other begins). I always keep in mind those sources also have biases because they are collected and published by humans. For instance, after 2008, certain crime sources just disappeared. After certain years, census sources changed—for instance, additional groups or races were added or divided. What was called white was changed to create Asian or Hispanic (a made-up word that includes hundreds of cultures). Biracial white/black/Asian/Mexican/Cuban/Indian is almost always considered black—probably a carry over from segregation days. It's my impression that liberal/progressive sources are more likely to refer to numbers rather than rate. Most confusing (on purpose) is the writer moving from rate to number to percentage in the same article. For instance, violent crime may have black aggressors 8x the rate of whites, but because white criminals outnumber blacks due to the population, liberal sources will site numbers more often in crimes. You may have to go to the last paragraph or a graph/chart to see percentage or rate.

Over time, I’ve learned when there is a horrific tragedy like last Wednesday in Uvalde, Texas, the tsunami in 2005, or the Louisiana hurricane in 2006, or the strange conflicting figures for the 2020 vote, it may take years to sort out or find the truth. I’ve heard three versions by Saturday of how police acted/reacted to the Uvalde tragedy. Without even listening to the news we know there will be the anti-gun bills and the safety bills. We know Democrats will be anti-2nd amendment and the Republicans will focus on SRO, more cameras, better training.

For some reason, Gary often sites David Duke, a has-been, colorful Democrat, from many years ago, sometimes because he was a southerner, and that was the party of hate he grew up with, the party that held blacks back with various Jim Crow laws, and now do it with money from government programs. He’s really a creation of the media, unlike Antifa, which actually did roam city streets, who were well-educated, rich white supremacists, who covered their faces with hoods, who did burn down buildings, and had clout. When I was a Democrat I certainly didn’t associate my party with Duke, just as I don’t associate any Democrats I know with Antifa.

But Democrats do get in a rut.  They are very suceptible to "progressive" ideas and fall for the socialist clap-trap. They actually believe if we hand more money over to the government, it will be used for whatever purpose they claim.  Republicans have spaghetti spines and no balls, to stick with the body language. 

Covid--Omicron and some sanity

Nellie Bowles at Common Sense by Bari Weiss (the reporter who very publicly resigned from NY Times because Twitter had become the editor and started her own on-line column so she could tell the truth) writes on December 31, 2021:

But amidst all the chaos, a bit of sanity, strangely, is prevailing. The CDC cut the quarantine time in half, from ten days to five, so society can keep functioning.

We’re even getting Good News reports from Twitter-popular doctors. Are they a year late to these realizations? Yes. Do they deserve to be mocked for the delay? Probably. Will I celebrate their seeing the light anyway? Absolutely.

The White House is also pivoting hard on its messaging. “There is no federal solution. This gets solved at a state level,” President Biden said on Monday, prior to a gathering of governors. Just a little over a year ago, Biden was telling Trump that the death toll was somehow his fault or related to his coarse rhetoric: “It is what it is because you are who you are,” Biden had said.

→ Great news they won’t tell you on cable: The number of Covid deaths each week is dropping. A lot. On Wednesday, there were some 2,100 deaths reported. Compare that to more than 3,600 on this day in 2020. The point is: everyone is getting Covid, but thanks to the vax it seems markedly less dangerous. Which is perhaps why…

→ Even Covid religious totems are falling: Dr. Leana Wen, one of the regular public health voices on CNN and a former president of Planned Parenthood, went on the nightly news this week and said something entirely true: “Cloth masks are not appropriate for this pandemic. It’s not appropriate for Omicron. It was not appropriate for Delta, Alpha, or any of the previous variants either because we’re dealing with something that’s airborne.”

If you are vaccinated, healthy, and happy, you are probably already living life like someone sitting in a New York City restaurant (i.e., unmasked but vaguely waving one around as you walk).

If you just love the feel of fabric across your cheeks, by all means. If you really care about not getting COVID, wear an N95 for as long as you’d like. But it’s long past time to take life back from the hypochondriacs.

→Die-hards are not going to give up without a fight (masked, six feet away). Take Nicole Wallace, Host of Deadline: White House on MSNBC: “I’m a Fauci groupie. I’m a thrice-vaccinated mask adherent. I buy KN95 masks by the, you know, caseload. They’re in every pocket. I wear them everywhere except when I sit down.”

One area where the excesses are still unchecked is in schools. Colleges around the country are imposing draconian rules (making students truly miserable). And unions around the country are laying groundwork for more remote learning. In Chicago, the union is polling teachers on “a district-wide pause” and going back to remote."

Resisting the jab, the mandate, the government

Why half of Americans may be rejecting the Biden mandates--and it's not necessarily just the virus jab.

1. Distrust of government agencies. The FBI and other agencies spied on Trump in 2016. They knew Clinton campaign had created the false documents.
2. Congress colluded. Especially Adam Schiff who kept insisting he had the evidence.
3. The Democrats paid for all that mess.
4. James Comey, a so-called Republican, knew about the scam.
5. Media colluded to flood every news report with Trump's guilt and the lies the Democrats and FBI created. Gaslighting around the clock.
6. Key Republicans fell in line or kept quiet about the collusion and crimes of government agencies working with Democrats.
7. Fake impeachment about Ukraine.
8. Media cover-up of Hunter Biden's influence in Ukraine and China.
9. Big Tech involvement in silencing Trump and his supporters; Big Pharma profits.
10. The imprisonment and gulag treatment of the J6 protestors while ignoring the Antifa and BLM led riots by both Congressional leadership and media.
OK. So now we have mostly the same players. Just substitute CDC for FBI. Then media and Big Tech supporting and covering for Biden instead of back stabbing Trump. Then substitute "passports" and more encroachment on freedoms for the J6 unfortunates. Finally, continue to pay a government bureaucrat who thinks he's the science god, and you've got

Biden says Delta is "broken"

What a joke this man is. More people have died of Covid under Biden than under Trump. And he had the head start with the vaccines and months of research. More people have had Covid in the highest mitigation areas than in the mask free areas. HCQ and IVM have saved many lives despite Fauci's trashing them. Now they are hyping Omicron. The Left wing media are in full swing again, pumping up the sales from Big Pharma.

How the media are handling the Loudoun County, Virginia story

Admittedly, I haven't done a thorough deep dive in the archives on whether CNN, MSNBC, NYT, and WaPo have covered the rape and sodomizing of a female student by a boy in a skirt at a Loudoun Co., Virginia school bathroom. That boy was transferred to another school where it's been reported (also by non MSM sources) he did it again to another girl. It has been covered by Fox and Newsmax who apparently thought that the previous spin on this story which was everywhere on the MSM was newsworthy. If you watch CNN, have you seen the coverage of the father who was arrested for speaking out at a school board meeting? That video went viral. Have you seen the current information now available on why he spoke at the meeting? (The school was covering up the rape because of the transgenda bathroom policy.)

In 2005 a Columbus school principal was fired and 3 assistants put on leave for covering up the rape of a disabled girl in her school and not calling the police, but handling it in house. In the Virginia case, the police have the record of the assault, but the school denied it happened. In 15 years the intersectionality pendulum has really swung back at the expense of the children.

Fox has a much bigger audience than CNN and MSNBC, so let's hope someone in the Northeast or the DC bubble has seen it, as well as our school board in Upper Arlington which is making a big mess of the bathroom issue. We've had a huge "Keeping up with the other Suburbs" building expansion here with our taxes soaring.

Also, there is an election going on in VA and this is one of the issues. It seems the Democrat has said parents should stop telling teachers how to do their jobs. VA is part of DC. Glenn Youngkin (R) and Terry McAuliffe (D). I just looked at MSN News and the reporter is spewing the usual--white parents, right wing media yada yada--but says nothing about the rape in a bathroom charges by the father and why he was protesting at that meeting in June. You can lie without saying anything!

Ivermectin--why are the media destroying its reputation as a miracle drug?

Our major media sources have denied the world knowledge of treatments that could have saved perhaps even the majority of the 641,450 people who died in the U.S. and the nearly 4 million who died elsewhere in the world.  Why?

The news media, particularly MSNBC and CNN filtered, edited and snipped the worst of Biden, but you knew, you all knew. They were really covering for you, the Biden Voter. You never even found out about Trump's wonderful successes, but you could see what you were electing. And you were so arrogant about your fellow Americans. Calling us white supremacists if we wanted safe borders, or Nazis if we believe biology, and God forbid, we might listen to or watch a video about saving people sick from Covid.

The lies continue

Democrat media complain that there was no mention of the virus during the RNC. Really? I heard it. In prayer. In stories of first responders. In testimonies of survivors. In news clips of Cuomo and Newsom praising the president for the quick aid he sent their states. Stories of amazing new treatments and advancing technology.

And the governors have sent the "crushing" economic woes, not the president. It was Democrats who fought the president on stopping international air traffic from China. It was Democrats who told tourists to come to their cities even as late as March. The false narratives they invent for any crisis, from children in cages, to what Trump said in Charlottesville, to how this virus spread, are unconscionable. They try to cover up their "defund the police" and "loot the cities" slogans with these whiny, petulant lies.

Scandal around Obama’s role grows, but will it be reported

The Flynn “justice” scandal and the Trump impeachment fiasco. It all points to the top.  Based on any past bad news about Obama, the media will run for cover, or not cover the growing scandal clearly laid out in the documents that the Democrats were pulling off the biggest vote theft in their history--the attempt to undo the 2016 election.

I know what happens in libraries, and it's probably the same in news. Librarians don't purposely "ban books" and that whole ALA "Banned books" week/month is just hype to get you into the library (before they were closed by the government). Library collections become liberal because the banning goes on in the back rooms where books are ordered from favorite review sources, which are liberal. It's a massive, circular system--conservative professors don't get promoted or don't get published so the liberal publishers don't pick up their material, which then circulates through smaller, independent publishers. And at the root the banning goes much deeper. Conservatives may decide against a career in academe or anything that influences the culture because the deck is stacked against them. You'll hear about women or minorities being shut out because that fits the liberal agenda of grievance, but what liberal would ever write about discrimination against conservatives! Just doesn't happen. It's "banned."

Much the same in the news. News media don't fabricate fake news, they don't have to--the people who post on FB and Twitter do that for them by reposting memes and fake stories. What the media do is edit out the part of real news they don't like, major in minors, or just choose to not report something. That's why liberals bad mouth Fox News--its coverage of Trump is only 50% negative, so therefore liberals believe it must be fake if it isn't filled with negative, insulting information. Or they point at Hannity or Levin, which are opinion shows (very pro-Trump), not news. Because the MSM like Washington Post or New York Times contain so much opinion in their regular news coverage, liberal readers are confused between factual reporting and biased opinion (all opinion articles have a bias, as they should, even this one). So if the media cover a political or cultural event that is a current topic, then later find out it actually happened under Obama and not Trump, they scramble to quietly pull it, or don't report it at all.

Time to turn off cable news

I didn't see hysteria, anger and angst about Obama from the regular MSM and cable media--although it was definitely on social media--despite the many strange things he said about America and fly over country, and his flubbed attempts at destroying the economy. Now the news media, especially cable news, are in hysteria mode over Trump, declaring every disaster imaginable, advocating mob violence,  ignoring the biggest killers of the 20th century (Communist regimes) and the devastation in Cuba and Venezuela and going for the Hitler comparisons. What is wrong with these people? Probably it's just for rating$ to bring in the clicks and dollars, but just in case they really are demented, turn them off, do not buy their products (hate, anger, lies).

I wonder how many Democrats didn't bother to vote because the Washington Post ran thousands of anti-Trump articles so the readers decided Hillary Clinton couldn't lose?  President Trump apparently plans to open up the news conferences to those outside the "legacy media." They are the third party in the U.S. and I think he'll take them down. All it would take is some fresh air and sunlight and they will shrivel up.  President Obama has already pretty much destroyed the Democrats.

Gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men (MSM) represent approximately 2% of the US population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV.

• In 2009, (men who have sex with men) MSM accounted for 61% of new HIV infections in the US and 79% of infections among all newly infected men. Compared with other groups, MSM accounted for the largest numbers of new HIV infections in 2009.
• Among all MSM, white MSM accounted for 11,400 (39%) new HIV infections in 2009. The largest number of new infections (3,400) occurred in those aged 40–49.
• Among all MSM, black/African American MSM accounted for 10,800 (37%) new HIV infections in 2009. Whereas new HIV infections were relatively stable among MSM overall from 2006–2009, they increased 34% among young MSM—an increase largely due to a 48% increase among young black/African American MSM aged 13–29.
• Among all MSM, Hispanic/Latino MSM accounted for 6,000 (20%) new HIV infections in 2009. The largest percentage of new infections (45%) occurred in those aged 13–29.

I’ve looked through the guidelines given to doctors to combat HIV/AIDs in gay men.  They include counseling for condoms, screening and treatment for other sexually transmitted diseases, hepatitis vaccine, and PrEP, short for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, the combination medication tenofovir disoproxil fumarate plus emtricitabine (TDF/FTC).   PrEP was approved in July, 2012 and treatment costs about $14,000 a year, requires constant monitoring, and absolute adherence to the drug regimen. Giving it to uninfected people who don’t have HIV might prevent those already infected from receiving it. 

In the guidelines I saw nothing about chastity or celibacy, the only two methods which are 100% effective in combating HIV and have no toxic side effects.

CBS, Consistently Biased Source

I watched the “balanced” story on billionaires supporting super PACs on CBS last night.  95% of the content was based on an interview with appropriate snarky and straw man questions for Julian Robertson, father of hedge funds and founder of a Mitt Romney PAC.  He’s given $1.25 million to get Romney elected, the man he says is the best in the history of the presidency in terms of qualifications.  At the tail end, almost as an after thought, the reporter included a reference to an e-mail (we don’t see it) from Hollywood’s Jeffry Katzenberg who has contributed to Obama’s campaign $2 million and  justifies his donation as fighting the right wing.  He had no tough questions and no face to face on camera time—just a throw away paraphrase of an e-mail. Katzenberg said nothing about Obama’s qualifications and accomplishments, at least not for this report. Nor was he asked if he would seek special favors.

I’m not sure the reporter even mentions how mad Obama was at the Supreme Court over PACs, and then decided to get one for his own campaign.  Nor did he note what a big supporter of environmental issues Robertson is—usually a cause to make the MSM swoon.  The point of this interview was to cut down on Romney who is starting to look like the guy to go after.  Don’t believe me when I tell you that if you watch only broadcast news you only get news for Democrats slanted to make the GOP look bad?  Watch the video.

The hypocrisy over the Penn State sex scandal

Am I the only one who recognizes the hypocrisy going on with the cya at Penn State? There is a national organization, "North American Man Boy Love," Nambla or some such name, which grooms young boys to be lovers of gay men. They have their own news bulletin and wiki. They are all over the internet and no one shuts them down or arrests them that I've heard of. These gay men influence legislation to lower the age of consent and to have their lifestyle accepted with other gay rights issues which involve consenting adults. I have come across a corresponding radical lesbian organization that sponsors camps for underage teen-age girls to help them "discover" their sexuality, but I think that's less common. Nambla doesn't consider sex with a teen-ager as pedophilia. Some advocates don't think sex with non-teen boys is abuse. You can google it, but it's a good way to pick up a virus, a hacker, or nasty e-mails. By even suggesting that they are perverts, I'll have nasty comments I'll have to monitor and remove.

Also, today I was reading a summary of a research article in JAMA that used 600 boys/young men ages 12-24 in 8 cities and their STDs and drug use with older gay men. Not a word about reporting the perps, and this was governmentt sponsored research. Are abused boys OK if it's for research?

Back to the old, tired and biased news sources

Now that we're at the lake house, I have to watch ABC or CBS if I want some news. You might hate Fox News, but Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly aren't newscasters, they are opinion/talking head shows. Fox News just gives the news, and some of it you'll not find on broadcast, and some of it is dumb car chases and pretty women. Not so the news on broadcast TV. I was shocked by the opinion inserted into the two stories I remember from yesterday, the Wal-Mart law suit and the Supreme Court and John McCain's comments on the fires in Arizona. This morning at the coffee shop on Fox News I got the real McCain story--that he was quoting from a US Forest Service testimony and report about fires. I, of course, realized the snippet ABC was quoting used the words "some" and "may" but they had to interview someone from La Raza to make it "fair," the radical, anti-U.S. organization that wants the southwestern states to be returned to Mexico.

They will spend the week exploring how to leverage Facebook, tweet strategically, tell better visual stories and more." No mention in the blurb of conservative news sources, nor the dangers of blogging and microblogging. I hope they rush someone in to cover the Weiner type problems and the reasons the left defended him, and even now are saying it was just sex instead of a culture of cover ups and hypocrisy.
