Lloyd Marcus challenges Julian Bond

Julian Bond says it was unfair for IRS to target civil rights groups, but OK for IRS to harass tea party and patriot groups because they are "admittedly racist." Can he cite a source? Are the blacks who are members of the Tea Party groups then racists also? Lloyd Marcus, a black Tea Party member, challenges Bond for details.

“As a black tea party activist who has participated in over 400 tea party rallies, I am confident that your claim is bogus. Therefore Mr Bond, you sir are a despicable liar, severely compromising your image as a statesman. You and your ilk purposely inspire hate in low-info black voters against tea party patriots who simply said no to Obama’s socialist agenda and trashing of the Constitution. Shame on you Mr Bond.”

In 2005 when the IRS under Bush was investigating political activity of the NAACP and its tax status,  Julian Bond said “I thought the right to condemn a president of the United States came to every American, whether he or she heads a tax-exempt organization or not” now says “I don’t think there’s a double standard at all” when asked if he can understand what Tea Party leaders are going through.

Mansfield school chief pulls plug on 'anti-Islamic' tea party event

Imagine. Our last four Presidents can involve us in wars against a variety of groups of Muslims, but a little old Tea Party group in central Ohio can't even invite a speaker to discuss radical Islam without getting their event cancelled. Odd, isn't it? Who wants to keep the American public uninformed?
"A Mansfield North Central Ohio Tea Party Association event featuring a speaker on radical Islam will go on at 7 p.m. today [March 28, 2011] as planned, but in a different location. Usama Dakdok will speak at Premier Office Complex, 1456 Park Avenue West, Suite J. Attendees are advised to bring lawn chairs. The group had planned to meet at its usual location at the high school until this morning, when Mansfield City Schools Superintendent Dan Freund, citing safety concerns, withdrew permission for the group to meet there."
Or is it the Tea Party people are afraid of, and not radical Muslims?

NAACP and the New Racism

The new racism is charging others with being "racist" because racism is the new N-word. NAACP is the latest example charging that a group which the NAACP can't buy or extort for money is anti-black/minority at its base. Tea Party is an idea, a philosophy and a political direction, not a group, and its very young and has no national leadership to speak on its behalf. NAACP, which is a membership exclusionary group, rather elderly as organizations go with lots of infighting among its leaders, smears a lot of people.
"Expel the bigots and racists in your ranks or take the responsibility for them and their actions. We will no longer allow you to hide like cowards."
Meanwhile, not a word from NAACP about a fringe of a fringe black group calling itself New Black Panthers and recommending that blacks kill white babies, and stop having relationships with white women. Not a word about expelling the socialists and communists from the rank and file of the NAACP, or even acknowledging they are there. No, everyone else has to be pure, even those groups that aren't even a membership group from which to expell anyone!

Sure sounds like race based hate to me, and a group that says it promotes the advancement of colored people, ought to be speaking up about the New Black Panthers and the philosophies of some of its own members that Tea Party people don't approve of. Wouldn't that at least be fair?
