Guess which party the splitting partner or friend or family member belonged to. Exactly.

“Many people with divergent perspectives from their partners have not been able to make it work in the Trump era. A Reuters/Ipsos poll completed in early 2017 found that in the months following Trump’s election win, 13 percent of 6,426 participants had cut ties with a friend or family member over political differences. This past summer, another survey of 1,000 people found that a third declared the same.”

New York Magazine, November 27. http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2018/11/donald-trump-is-destroying-my-marriage.html?

I warn you, this article sounds like something out of “The Onion,” and you almost can’t believe women can be this stupid over political differences, or in the one case, because her husband had less enthusiasm for being so ridiculous (neither liked Trump, but he didn’t go crazy).  But then you remember the 1970s when we discovered consciousness raising, and the late 80s when we discovered menopause, and it all starts to sound like just a bad movie that’s been re-made too many times.  One woman admitted she was obsessing, posting on social media, not speaking civilly to her husband and after counseling remembered she’d been date-raped and this was a way to take back power.  Oh puleeze!

The most interesting couple (using their real names, perhaps because of their professions) was a life coach and couples therapist. The woman was a Republican and the man a Democrat, but until the 2016 election it never came up.  Then the sparks when she decided to vote for Trump. I’m just saying, she was the far more reasonable and respectful of the two about their differences.

The Never Trumpers and the Deep State work together to defeat Trump

If we'd elected President Cruz or President Carson or President Fiorina, Washington DC would still have voted 97% Democrat, and that's the demographic that supplies the federal government workers, who make up the base of the deep state. James Hodgkinson who shot up that ball game still would have had a list of Republicans to kill--he'd been spouting off and raging before Obama was elected and used Bernie's and Pelosi's hateful words in his latest outbursts. The media have warned us that mean words and toy guns incite violence. The media and Democrats have fantasized that the Tea Party and Republicans are just KKK without the sheet and have shouted this to the unstable.  Comey who said he couldn't find "intent" in Mrs. Clinton's misbehavior which wasn't his job, still would be deciding what was to be leaked to the press, also not his job. Reality Winner still would be working for the NSA, and California would still be funding the Georgia election to turn Congress to the Democrats. The only difference would the the Never Trumper Republicans and Libertarians who do the talk-show gravy train and write for the Washington Post. They would not be trying to kill the Republican party and return the power to Democrats.

Prager gets tough on Republican Never-Trumpers

Dennis Prager is warning the never Trump Republicans that this is not a culture war, it's a civil war. And he's using Evergreen State, one of the most left of the left colleges, expulsion of white faculty and students as an example. As academe goes, so goes the nation, as he wrote in January.

". . . in the Second Civil war, one side has been doing nearly all the fighting. That is how it has been able to take over schools — from elementary schools, to high schools, to universities — and indoctrinate America’s young people; how it has taken over nearly all the news media; and how it has taken over entertainment media. The conservative side has lost on every one of these fronts because it has rarely fought back with anything near the ferocity with which the left fights."

And now he tells conservatives again that Obama promised to fundamentally transform the nation, but they still aren't listening.

"Had any Never-Trump conservative been told, say in the summer of 2015, that a Republican would win the 2016 election and, within his first few months in office, appoint a conservative to the Supreme Court; begin the process of replacing ObamaCare; bomb Russia's ally, Assad, after he again used chemical weapons; appoint the most conservative cabinet in modern American history; begin undoing hysteria-based, economy-choking EPA regulations; label the Iranian regime "evil" in front of 50 Muslim heads of state; wear a yarmulke at the Western Wall; appoint a U.N. ambassador who regularly condemns the U.N. for its moral hypocrisy; restore the military budget; and work on lowering corporate tax rates, among other conservative achievements — that Never-Trump conservative would have been jumping for joy.

So, why aren't anti-Trump conservatives jumping for joy?"

Dennis Prager didn't support Trump at the beginning of the primaries, but knew what the alternative was, and got on board the Trump train once he was the nominee.  He's been very pleased with the outcome. http://www.investors.com/politics/columnists/dennis-prager-why-conservatives-still-attack-trump/

Sell out, Never Trump Republicans can't stop Clinton's plans

"The notion peddled by some "Never Trump" Republicans that they can keep Hillary from accomplishing what she wants for 4 years, then replace her with someone they prefer, is laughable. The fact that they should know this, and don't, is truly scary. Even more frightening is...perhaps they do. The Republican Congress has done nothing to stop Obama; why should we believe they will do so with Hillary? When they threaten to curb Obama with "the power of the purse," he simply calls their bluff and either bullies them into giving him what he wants, or simply does as he pleases through unconstitutional executive orders. A Republican controlled Congress has done nothing to defund Obamacare, slow down the TRILLIONS of dollars of debt he has accrued, prevent his treasonous acts with Iran, defund Planned Parenthood and their selling of babies' body parts (can you even believe such a thing even exists, and that the Obama’s and Hillary condone it?!), or stop any number of other inappropriate actions and wasteful expenditures. Much of Washington, DC is an out-of-control cancer that must be cut out.

To be sure, there are Republican leaders who desperately want to change things but the entrenched, lobbyist-owned, career politicians–many of them liberals in conservative clothing–have neither the will, backbone, and perhaps not the intellect needed to change it. Radical surgery is necessary. Again, it is laughable to think that the leadership of this weak and diluted Republican Congress would be able or willing to stop the agenda of the libs once they enjoy an even greater momentum from another White House win. Someone please tell me why we should believe that. If the Republican Party has not sold us out, why did they spend $18.2 million on Bush's election in 2004, $53.5 million for McCain in 2008, $42.4 million for Romney in 2012, and $0 on ads to elect Trump?! They have sold us out." (Dutch Sheets, website was unavailable, taken from Facebook post)
