Brennan asks Hillary about body image

FYI: Brennan is a paid child actor, daughter of a Pennsylvania state senator, Daylin Leach, a Democrat, performing at Hillary's Townhall yesterday. I heard a clip of this farce on the radio yesterday. Even before checking it I knew it was phony and a written script. No one is allowed to speak to the Great Madam Secretary without the right credentials.
"Hi Madam Secretary. I'm Brennan and I'm 15 years old. At my school, body image is a really big issue for girls my age. I see with my own eyes the damage Donald Trump does when he talks about women and how they look. As the first female president how would you undo some of that damage and help girls understand that they're so much more than just what they look like?"
Today we got our flu shot and while in the waiting room I went through a stack of magazines. I picked up the October issue of O The Oprah Magazine and every model in every photo was thin-- fashion, food and furniture. Oprah was all bundled up for the cover, but the last page had a photo of her walking and she looked 50 lbs thinner than the last time I saw a photo (several years ago). I'm not sure young women read her magazine, but they may read Self and Shape which both use women as close to anorexic as I've seen while calling them healthy and physically fit. That, my dear Democrat plant Brennan, is why young girls have an unhealthy body image. Not Miss Universe who made this story up about 6 months ago--at least that's when she remembered it.

The Butler movie is fiction

The Butler: Fact check--it is fiction although there really is a real man who was a butler in the White House who did not have a horrendous childhood or a mother who was raped, did not start during Ike's administration, did not have an alcoholic wife and did not have 2 sons, but who did vote for Obama (that part is true). Who is done a service in this film? Certainly not the real butler, and not U.S. history. Probably just Oprah, who recently has been lying about a lot of things. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/08/16/the-butler-fact-check-how-true-is-this-true-story.html

Oprah and Till

It’s very unfortunate that Oprah Winfrey, the richest and most successful woman in the United States, has passed along the misinformation that the Emmett Till case of 60 years ago is like the Trayvon Martin case.  Essentially, she’s said the last 50 years of the civil rights movement, her rise to prominence, the election of thousands of black officials to city and state and federal governments, the election of a black president, a growing middle class and rich CEOs like her have been for nothing.  Both the Defense and the Prosecution said the Martin/Zimmerman case was not about race. Martin attacked Zimmerman, and was bigger than Zimmerman.  His friend Rachel said on the Piers Morgan show that Zimmerman didn’t understand “whoop ass” and that he was a creepy ass cracker maybe a gay man intent on raping Martin. Emmett Till was 14, was from Chicago visiting in Mississippi, and flirted with the wife of a convenience store owner.  Does that sound like the Trayvon Martin case? Till was kidnapped, tortured and murdered and dumped in a river.  Zimmerman called the police and clearly thought he was in danger of his life when attacked.  Maybe it’s true what Obama says about rich fat cats—they lose their perspective. Oprah certainly did.  If she said this to get publicity for her new movie, her respect meter really sinks.

Oprah, the stem cell debate is dead

In this video from Oprah.com, Dr. Oz explains to Michael J. Fox, who has Parkinson’s Disease, and Oprah, why the debate about embryonic stem cells in research and medical advancement is dead. It was already dead when President Obama announced on March 9, 2009, that he was lifting the government ban on funding additional embryonic stem cell lines research. Why would he do that? Are his health advisers so naïve? Or is it because most Americans still think “embryonic” when they hear “stem cell” and he thought he could fool them? With adult stem cells, no embryos need to be killed; no toxic regimen of rejection drugs is needed for your own cells. The government doesn't need to take over women’s wombs for research. Adult stem cell is the way to go. Thank you, President Bush, for drawing the line 8 years before Obama told this lie, the beginning of his many lies about health and medicine.

http://www.oprah.com/health/Dr-Oz-on-the-Medical-Benefits-of-Stem-Cells-Video

From Obama’s speech, March 9, 2009
“Today, with the Executive Order I am about to sign, we will bring the change that so many scientists and researchers; doctors and innovators; patients and loved ones have hoped for, and fought for, these past eight years: we will lift the ban on federal funding for promising embryonic stem cell research. We will vigorously support scientists who pursue this research. And we will aim for America to lead the world in the discoveries it one day may yield.”
Why would Obama do this? Lack of respect for life, ignorance or pure political gain? Whichever, it was an immoral act, not the first and not the last of his medical lies.

Federal court case--backs down Obama's funding of March 2009. If you read the comments from readers at the various sites reporting yesterday's decision, it is clear that most people (referring to Republicans as knuckle dragging morons) don't realize that successful stem cell cures are only from adult cells, not embryonic stem cells, from which not a single cure has ever been developed.

Oprah and Orpah

Oprah (no last name needed) is the richest woman in the United States. . . and no, the lists don't say that because they include women who got their wealth from their family status, and inheritance--wife, widow, daughter, granddaughter, etc. Oprah actually earned her billions. And then there's Orpah, the check-out clerk (not her real name). Orpah is a Biblical name, the daughter-in-law of Ruth (means "she who turned back") and Oprah is probably a misspelling of that Biblical name on her birth certificate.

Poor Orpah behind the cash register is about Oprah's age, but she's white, skinny, with a long gray pony tail, a sullen grimace for all the customers, and no fashion sense at all, unless baggy t-shirts and work boots are in style.

So, here's a question for all you Democrats and liberal Republicans. How much of Oprah's wealth should be redistributed to Orpah who didn't get the personality, looks or education to become a successful talk show host and media mogul? She's a victim. Maybe her parents died; maybe she had an abusive husband; maybe she was a single mom.  Just because she rarely speaks to the customers and isn't photogenic, didn't pursue an education (although I really don't know--perhaps there were no scholarships or loans for skinny, unathletic white teen girls in the 1970s) doesn't mean she deserves to have so much less money than Oprah. She'd probably enjoy a few of those acres by the ocean in California, or attentive personal assistants, or dining out in fancy restaurants, or even Oprah's health care plan.

So, liberals, how would you redistribute Oprah's wealth to Orpah? And how much before Oprah would notice it was even gone?

3448 I'm putting myself first

There's a phrase that makes me gag. I was watching Oprah today while fixing supper (potatoes, onions and carrots with a little olive oil in the oven, and then I'll grill some salmon). She's doing a show on women who don't look their age. It's really amazing what getting them out of jeans and sweats and putting on a little hair color and mascara can do. But one woman came out and they had the photo of her 10 years ago and today on the screen. "What did you do?" asked Oprah. "I decided to put myself first," she said oozing confidence. "How did you do that?" Oprah repeated. "I'm putting myself first," she repeated. I guess if you eat junk food and never exercise, that's putting others first? When I did that I just called it getting careless and eating anything that wasn't nailed down.

3332 My letter to Oprah

My husband suggested I turn on the Oprah show--she was doing a program on "class." I watched a few minutes (it was a rerun of an April show), but couldn't handle the twaddle of Robert Reich, Clinton's former Secretary of Labor. Her web site summarizes his thoughts:

Reich "says that a family's ability to provide their children with a quality education, health care and access to other resources determines one's class. "A lot of kids who are poor or working class are not getting the schools that they need and are not having the connections and the models of success that they need."

He notes three indicators of class: "weight, teeth and dialect. In terms of appearance, people who are overweight or have poor teeth are generally regarded as lower class."

I didn’t see the part about teeth but did hear him saying they (lower class and poor) aren't getting good schools. That's been proven false by putting lower class district children into stunning new schools with incredible technology. New bricks don't turn out new scholars. Old values and concerned parents do. Poor families who take the initiative to get their kids into charter schools benefit in the long run. Immigrant Vietnamese and other Asians and even some immigrant Mexicans have managed to move their families into the middle class by hard work and strong family values, not good teeth and good schools.

Here’s my letter to Oprah.

I was disappointed in your "class" show because of the misinformation Robert Reich presented.

The growing gap is not between classes, but between families of married couples and unmarried women with children. Women can virtually eliminate poverty by 1) finishing high school, 2) not having babies as teen-agers, and 3) marrying the father of their children. If her husband takes a job, any job and keeps it, he will almost guarantee their success.

There is still plenty of opportunity in this country--illegals who flood over our borders seeking it is proof of that. But young women need to get smart and stop listening to musicians and boyfriends who call them "Ho" and "bitch" and get down to the business of saving their future children with some backbone and pride.

Maybe you could also open a school for girls here in the U.S.

Source update: William Galston, a Democratic strategist and former domestic affairs adviser to President Clinton is usually acknowledged as the source of the statistics on the relationship between poverty, education and marriage. See James Q. Wilson, City Journal, Why we don't marry. The original Galston source doesn’t seem to be on-line, but every one quotes him. You can look through his bibliography--may be co-authored with Kamarck.

Source update: Kansas City--money and school performance, Cato Policy Analysis . "The lessons of the Kansas City experiment should stand as a warning to those who would use massive funding and gold-plated buildings to encourage integration and improve education."

3267 Fiddy thinks Oprah is an Oreo

Mr. 50 cents, an ex-con rapper, will probably not be too thrilled with Barack Obama then, if he doesn't respect Oprah for her accomplishments and being the wealthiest business woman in America. Thinks she caters to white women. Yeah, Fiddy, like there's a huge audience in day-time TV for gangsta rap.

Rapper $.50 told Elle magazine that Oprah isn't black enough, according to Leonard Pitts Jr. in today's Dispatch. She's better known than Hillary, and more influential than Condi. This loser seems to hate successful black women. Maybe because she hasn't dropped a baby for some man of his ilk to abandon?

It will be interesting to see what Fiddy and others say about Barack Obama, who looks white, talks white, walks white, probably doesn't let his kids listen to hip hop or rap music and is supported by white, left-wing money. That's why the MSM loves him--they can close their eyes and not see a black man. He's a vanilla frosted Oreo.

And it wasn't Rush Limbaugh who called the Senator Osama Obama, it was Ted Kennedy. Rush Limbaugh just made fun of Kennedy for stumbling over his name (Kennedy first called him Osama bin Baden, then corrected it to Osama Obama during a speech). The left needs to stand up and take credit when they screw up and not blame it on unelected talk radio hosts.
