Be cautious about that word “nonpartisan”

“The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that works to reform, revitalize – and when necessary, defend – our country's systems of democracy and justice.”

Obviously, not very nonpartisan.  In a publication about fighting terrorism put together by an intern, Sara Johnson, in the third paragraph we find this bigoted, inaccurate account of Trump campaign rallies.

“These concerns [about white supremacist terrorism] grew more pronounced as Donald Trump’s bigoted campaign rhetoric inspired rallies around the country in which neo-Nazis, white nationalists, proto-fascists, and far-right militias openly engaged in violence. This included beatings, stabbings, and shootings of counter-protesters and journalists, with little interference from law enforcement at the time and just a handful of belated federal prosecutions.3"  The footnote directs the reader to a PBS show and an LA Times article.  I was a librarian, and we wouldn’t have accepted those sources for a Freshman English class.

Really? No mention of people wearing MAGA hats being attacked on college campuses, in restaurants and parks?  No word about mobs shouting down conservative speakers on campus?  That isn’t terrorism when coming from Black Lives Matter or Antifa?

So I didn’t read any further.  What would be the point when Sara has concluded at the outset that Dylan Roof’s horrible crime can be blamed on President Trump, even though I’m guessing Baltimore’s high murder rate wasn’t blamed on Barack Obama by her or anyone else at the Brennan Center.

Black, female professor is under fire from transgender students

Must be both sexist and racist in addition to anti-Christian bigotry.  I can’t tell which direction the student is going based on the photograph.

Carol Miller Swain is an American political scientist, professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University, and television host. She is the author or editor of six books. Wikipedia

So conservative Christians are being blocked on social media.  This is the kind of hatred that has turned “progressives” into fascists.

Liberals are bullies, bigots and babies

“Tim Hunt is a serious scientist. He shared the 2001 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his research. In 2006 he was awarded the Royal Medal, whose past recipients include Michael Faraday, Charles Darwin, Francis Crick, and Paul Dirac. His topic at the conference where he made his offending remark was the public good of science, and why scientific research should be publicly supported. He was making, as the Royal Medal award says, “important contributions to the advancement of natural knowledge” — in this case, on the subject of cancer.”

But he made a joke about women in science labs (I think it was about his own wife and I didn’t even think it was offensive like the author of this article) and he and his wife were fired. Liberals are bullies, bigots and babies.

There are perhaps 10-20 people who run the Twitter campaigns to destroy lives, to make it look like thousands, like it’s burning up the internet with outrage.  So phony. Obviously, no support from his institution or colleagues or even his country to which he has given so much.

“His treatment also demonstrates the innate cruelty of social media, and in particular the savage power of Twitter, which first revealed the scientist’s transgression. The tale also demonstrates how PR departments, in trying to protect the reputation of institutions, often do so at the expense of the individuals who work for or make up those bodies.”

Tim Cook, the face of gay corporate bigotry

It’s all about the money. Apple owns businesses in four Muslim countries where to be gay is a death penalty offense, but wants to attack and destroy the income of Christian bakers and photographers for their beliefs.

And look how long he hid in the closet all for Apple.  Now that’s evidence of the strength of his convictions.  But everyone else has to change and accept his lifestyle, which he hid for years on behalf of his career.

It’s just us—the gay lobby

HGTV has withdrawn (aka fired them) a new program hosted by two Christian brothers (twins, it looks like) who had the audacity to speak of the "homosexual agenda" along with a long list of sins of heterosexuals specifically listed in the Bible—abortion, infidelity, adultery.  And their father protested at abortion clinics!  It seems they believe marriage is about more than “love.”  One brother had actually led a prayer rally outside the Democratic National Convention in 2012.  How awful—the party that booed God and voted for abortion in its platform had people praying peacefully outside.

Homosexuals have successfully built a TV and literary image of "just folks like the rest of you, give us a chance" and now they are becoming their own worst nightmare of bigotry and anti-Christian assaults.  HGTV has had a very strong gay presence in all its programs both with hosting and in their real estate shows. It has contributed to the "just folks" image, but are losing it fast.

Think of the filth, violence and silliness you can see on TV—but gays object to this? You know no script about abortion or gay lifestyle would be on the show, but it is their private beliefs that can’t be tolerated by this lobby.

“The Benhams, who are graduates of Liberty University, said they were saddened to hear about HGTV’s decision.

“With all of the grotesque things that can be seen and heard on television, you would think there would be room for two twin brothers who are faithful to our families, committed to biblical principles, and dedicated professionals,” they wrote.”

Intolerant gays on the left

Only about 2% of the population is gay--and most of them haven’t taken the steps to insure their partners (at Ohio State you can buy insurance for your gay domestic partner, but not straight), put their names on a mortgage, include them in a will, or have a joint checking account. Many males have the same motive as their straight colleagues--protect their money and estates (some have children and grandchildren and have been in multiple relationships).  And gay men are among the wealthiest demographic, in part because up until now they’ve been able to keep it all ($61,500 compared with the national median of $50,054, lower unemployment, more education).  A lot of the ridiculous show of gay intolerance comes not from gays, but from heterosexuals, disappointed with their own relationships and failed marriages, so of course, it's society's fault, or the institution of marriage.

Employees at Mozilla, the organization that created the Firefox web browser, has shown their warped sense of commitment to “tolerance” by demanding the termination of Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich because he dared to oppose gay marriage.

The left never allows tolerance or bi-partisanship, cooperation or acceptance.  They always need to be stirring the pot.

Who is the bigot?

If you have the progressive view of marriage (it is an emotional attachment approved and defined by many in the 21st century), and I have the traditional view (it is approved by God and all of history and cultures), are you then a bigot if you think the 21st century marriage should be limited to two adults, but not three or four, or one adult and a minor, or a brother and sister, or three sisters, or five cousins, or a grandfather and granddaughter? If it is an emotional attachment and the people are committed and need the tax benefits, who are you to judge, if I can’t judge?  If my belief in traditional marriage doesn’t matter, why does yours?  Is it unfair for those with a different view to call you be a bigot because you deny them their loving relationship with societal approval?

You can Google “polyamory” and find many websites of people looking for your participation and approval.  They are using the same argument about civil and government rights and societal approval you are.  Many African and Muslim cultures approve and encourage child brides, as well as the genital mutilation of young girls as the threshold for marriage. (The men think they’ll be less likely to be infected by disease if they marry a young virgin.

The haters and bigots swing into action

Dr. Ben Carson, a renowned pediatric neurosurgeon, has been "uninvited" as a speaker to graduating medical students at his own university. Too conservative. Also, he is black and with his own money funds a scholarship program for poor black children. Reminds me of when the open minded librarians protested that Laura Bush, a former librarian and then First Lady, would be a speaker at ALA (2006). Each year the ALA sponsors the completely phony, trumped up Banned Books Week. Then they try to ban a speaker, the most famous librarian in the country.

Is "bullying" wrong no matter who the victim is? Or is it only wrong if the victim is gay, obese, skinny, unfashionable, nerdy, or a minority? What if the victim is bullied, shunned and called names because she is Catholic, or he is Baptist, or she is old, or he is white, or they believe in traditional marriage, or they don't want to pay for behavior which they consider sinful, like an abortion?  Is it bullying when powerful, wealthy people threaten to take away various amendments of the Bill of Rights from the masses yet retain them for their private use? Is publishing names and addresses of people who have broken no laws, indeed, followed them to the letter, bullying? Intimidation, bigotry, terrorizing, telling lies, and fomenting fear and suspicion is a behavior dependent on the intent of the perpetrator, not the morals or beliefs or race of the victim.

Bigots attack Christians and Jews for their beliefs on marriage and family

Homosexual “marriage” and religious liberty cannot co-exist—because gay activists will not allow it. As marriage expert Maggie Gallagher puts it, same-sex “marriage” advocates claim that religious faith “itself is a form of bigotry.” Perez Hilton's recent attacks on a white, heterosexual woman are just the tip of the iceberg of bigotry and intolerance.
