Mask research by the CDC--inaccurate

"The CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report, which is widely cited but not externally peer-reviewed, serially exaggerated the evidence for mask-wearing among 77 such outside studies it published, according to an independent review by epidemiologists at the University of California San Francisco, the system's health sciences campus.

Just 14% of MMWR studies reached statistical significance and 30% actually studied mask effectiveness. Yet three-quarters concluded that masks were effective, authors Tracy Beth Hoeg, Alyson Haslam and Vinay Prasad wrote in the peer-reviewed American Journal of Medicine, the official journal of a consortium of five associations in academic internal medicine.

None of the 77 was randomized, the strongest form of evidence, and just one study each "used causal language appropriately" ("particle filtration on mannequins") or "cited conflicting evidence" (mostly about influenza), they wrote. "The level of evidence generated was low and the conclusions were most often unsupported by the data." "

This is not called science it's called an agenda.

Guest Blogger Jeffrey outlines flaws in Ford’s story

A quick summary of Ford's credibility:

She refused to hand over the results of her polygraph.

She refused to hand over her 2012 Therapist’s notes.

She said she was afraid to fly, but has flown dozens of times.

Since she did in fact fly, she offered no other reason for the politically beneficial delay she insisted on.

She said she wanted anonymity but contacted WaPo multiple times.

Said she got advice from “beach friends” but didn't mention that the primary one was a former FBI lawyer, Monica McLean, who worked for Preet Bharara, a man Trump fired.

She also failed to mention, when talking of her Beach friends at the hearing, that Monica was sitting right behind her.

She had a perfect memory of 1982 but couldn't remember basic things from the previous 10 weeks.

She'd been drinking.

She changed the year of the alleged attack.

She named 4 people, but had no backers.

She couldn't remember how she got home even though her story had her escaping a house far from home, pre-cell phone.

No friend ever said "Hey you disappeared, where did you go? How'd you get home?" No one got an unexpected call from a payphone to pick her up.

She gave no location or any details that could be researched for verification.

She never told anyone of the incident nor claimed PTSD prior to Kavanaugh's name circulating 30 years later.

She said that she put the 2nd door on her house because of PTSD, but evidence shows it was to get around zoning laws to create a rentable apartment.

She said she didn't know that Grassley offered to come to her, even though it was broadcast nationally.

She feigned no knowledge of polygraphs even though her ex’s sworn statement said she'd coached Monica McLean how to beat it in the 1990s, and in any case her profession should have at least well acquainted her with it.

She claimed it was a repressed memory, something that is rare, disputed by experts, doesn't fit this profile, and is often conflated with the far more common false memory.

She co-authored a paper on repressed memory creation years before she claimed to have one.

Nothing is known of her pharmacology, but given her past alcoholism, her visits to a therapist and her general presentation, odds are high that it's extensive.

She scrubbed her social media, preventing checks on her credibility and biases.

We know from a pussy hat photo that she was rabidly anti-trump. The hat puts her in a 1-2% subgroup of extremists.

Extremists in general are not known for honesty or clarity of thought, but rather paranoia, which can lead to delusions and false conclusions. This subculture in particular is known for being "easily offended" which is often in fact, falsely offended.

She had zero family or friends with her, not from the 80s nor from today. She was surrounded only by Democrat Party Handlers.

Constant cries of bravery and “nothing to gain” vs a $700,000 GoFundMe and a career boosted a la Anita Hill. An instant hero within her chosen subculture.

Literally, all there is her word vs all of the above. Not a shred of evidence.

What else has no evidence?

Despite no evidence, the media have run with a suspicion of collusion and have 55% of Democrats believing that the individual elections in November were hacked by the Russians. Despite not a single leak of a meeting or discussion of Trump with Russians although there are leaks on everything else, the Democrats are preparing for impeachment. So the real threat to our free elections and constitution are the Democrats with their media handlers, not a foreign government.

Another charge for which there is no evidence, but people believe it anyway, just like the Russia-Trump collusion, is that John Brennan, the CIA director,  is a Muslim. There's no evidence he isn't. Try to prove it. But he did vote Communist in 1976. http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/15/politics/john-brennan-cia-communist-vote/

There's also no evidence that cradle to grave health insurance offered by the government creates a healthier nation.  Take the American Indians for example. We have 5 government health plans not counting the failing Obamacare. Democrats don't want unfairness or gaps so they are hoping we can all have the same wonderful care and health results as the Bureau of Indian Affairs has produced. Never mind that death rates for heart disease among American Indian and Alaska Native people are twice as high as the overall US population. Diabetes accounts for up to 75 percent of all cardiovascular events. Kidney disease—including chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease requiring dialysis—represents an important epidemic among American Indian and Alaska Native people. We must all be equal and accept what the government offers native peoples. (from Healthaffairs.org)
