My own response to Schumer's Civics Fail was shorter:
What a maroon.
It's the most appropriate response I could imagine to such an idiot.
Any person who's been a U.S. Senator since 1999 (elected 1998) and doesn't have the three branches of government so deeply embedded that such a gaffe is simply impossible, just hasn't been paying attention.
And I'm still left to wonder what's Politico's point in ignoring it. Oh never mind. . .
