Beth Moore doesn't like President Trump or the people who support him

I think our women's group (WOW) at UALC has shown every Beth Moore video available. I wouldn't say she can't speak against Trump--it's in the First Amendment. Even Christians have that right, although to hear the Democrats, you wouldn't think so. She's actually speaking out about Trump supporters. Most of whom are Christians--white, black, brown and Asian.

So, she says he's a bully. Shocking, Name me a president, king, monarch, tribal leader, premier, governor, senator, school principal, union leader who isn't at some time during their career as a leader had to be decisive, blunt, argumentative, aggressive, etc. True, he doesn't talk like a lady, "Maybe I'm wrong, but. . ." (I hate it when women start a sentence with that.) Ms. Flotus Obama is back in the spotlight as a possible candidate and she expresses fear; VP Harris is stumping for Biden and she says she's scared to death. Boy, that should really build up the lady parts.

But Moore needs to remember who supported the unborn when in office, not by sending a sub, but by showing up. Who said America is Great? Moore needs to recall under which president minorities made REAL financial and career progress, not with CRT and appointments to DEI but with actual gains and real jobs; which president did the most for Israel; Moore needs to comfort a mother or wife who has lost their children or husband in wars and think about Trump's position. Do you think Putin would have attacked Ukraine if Trump had a 2nd term? Did Trump fund the Taliban or Iran?

Moore has experienced a lot of lies told by the "other" side and the "good old boys" in Evangelicalism. Now she should recall from whom she gets her information--the mainstream media, the non-profits who are profiting from the border crisis, the DNC, the View, the Obiden puppeteers.

Come on, Beth. Do your homework--you certainly asked us to do that for years! You've become rich and famous with those books. If DeSantis or Haley had won that Iowa Caucus, the people you are trusting to form your opinion would be claiming them to be racist, sexist, homophobes who don't believe in pronouns and the right to choose your sex. They would still be denouncing Christianity and the Constitution.

Put Beth Moore’s new book on your Christmas list

Do you have some Beth Moore fans on your Christmas list? "Whispers of hope; 10 weeks of devotional prayer" (B&H Publishing Group, 2013, $14.99) might be a good choice. I just received my copy, and I really like the plan. You remember how Beth loves assignments and workbooks? With each of the 70 days, there are assigned scripture, Beth's personal and anecdotal musings, and then pages with 4 line...s each for your own thoughts on Praise, Repentance, Acknowledgment, Intercession, Supplication for Self, and Equipping. Whether you write something down isn't as important in my view as the nudge to include these areas in your prayer life.

"I'm certain of two things: prayerless lives are powerless lives, and prayerful lives are powerful lives." Beth Moore

New Beth Moore study at UALC

Women of the Word (WOW) of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church is doing an 8 week study with video and workbooks with Beth Moore called Mercy Triumphs. There are four different opportunities to be in a study: Tuesday evening 6:45 at Mill Run; Thursday morning at 9 at Lytham Road, and 12:30 in the afternoon at Mill Run, and Saturday morning at 9:15 at Lytham Road. Today we did the introduction which examined the family relationship between James and Jesus, and between us and our natural family and our church family.

From a review
If you’re familiar with Beth Moore’s ministry, you know that James: Mercy Triumphs is also a homework-driven study. Although the teaching segments are powerful, daily homework assignments take the participant deep into the meaning of the simple but profound teaching found in James.

The sessions are designed to be a combination of large group and small group components. James: Mercy Triumphs allows Bible studies or small groups to take advantage of the compelling teaching style of Beth Moore, allowing study leaders to focus their attention on the administrative and coordination aspects along with small group facilitation.

A well-designed Leader Guide is included in the Leader Kit (along with a copy of the Member Book and DVDs. Member books as well as additional Leader Guides are available. With two table discussion options to choose from for every session, there is plenty here for your leaders to work with as they prepare for and facilitate the session.

For participants who want to dive a little deeper, this study also includes a next level aspect with articles by Melissa Moore Fitzpatrick (Moore’s daughter). Taking a look at subjects like the Acts 21 reference to the Nazirite Vow, unity and diversity, perfection, and Paul’s collection for the Jerusalem church, these reading provide some fascinating insights into the world of the early church.
The fifth level of participation is to memorize the book of James. I've always had difficulty with memorization, so I won't do that level, but I can do the other four.
