Things could have been different—lives could have been saved.

"The only thing that would have changed the outcome, potentially change the outcome, is something that so many people don't want to hear and that's self defense. That if someone there had a concealed carry, if someone had been armed, they might have had a fighting chance."
-Sen. Rand Paul, on gun control legislation.

or MORE would have been killed. We are an armed nation now. Only a matter of time before someone shots me but I would never be able to shot first or kill anyone I would just take the bullet(s).for it is written "thou shalt not kill" how does that square with shoting first and killing beofre you don't get killed?

I guess your best hope since you won't be the one with a gun is that someone close by has a permit to carry. Sometimes you don't need to shoot to kill like the 72 year old woman who just held the gun on the burglar until the police came. Possibly she saved 2 lives--hers and his.

We should do what Australia did some 20 years ago. And that was promoted by a conservative president. Now they are shooting people of authority in Texas and Colorado. There will be no end to it. How can these religious (so-called) people promote the types of guns that can kill 20 first graders in 5 minutes??

107 black children killed in Chicago in 2012 with unregistered, illegal guns (plus a few other methods like smothering), and Obama didn't lift a finger until he found a case to suit his political desires to undo the 2nd amendment--to add to the 1st amendment destruction. And all those so-called liberal Christians didn't even notice when black children die.
