Chris Matthews to be Ohio State graduation speaker
Chris Matthews is going to be the speaker at the OSU graduation. This is probably appropriate given the politics of academe (left), but I doubt that the parents who have gone into debt to shell out the $50-60,000 are pleased. Their children have already endured years of political indoctrination in the classroom which may take years of the "real" world to undo--they really don't need this final word from a man who spouts such trash about conservatives. He's called half the nation intolerant morons, he joked about Christie's weight (during sex no less!), called Ted Cruz a zoo animal and a racist (picture a Republican getting away with this about an Hispanic), commented that Republicans would like to see Obama executed, said that if you didn't believe Hurricane Sandy was a result of Global Warming you were a "pig," called the press too even handed (!), depriving women of birth control (which no one is doing) is being a Nazi, he said a year ago that the economy was bustling and job growth was booming, he calls Tea Party members terrorists and racists, he actually called Biden the best vice president in history, gave advice to the Catholic Church on birth control (accept it), he referred to opposition to Hillary as a psychosis (including Obama in 2008?), and he speaks of Obama in reverential, Biblical tones worthy of someone moving toward sainthood. I won't go to the campus and carry a sign, but the next time OSU asks me for money, I'll tell them where to put that appeal.

Good for Chris Matthews
He manned up and admitted he was stupid and wrong on election night when he said he was glad for the storm Sandy because it helped Obama win. He'll keep his job, of course, but if Republicans apologize for being stupid, they lose their jobs. I recall years ago Rush Limbaugh made a comment about a black football player that was true, but he was removed as a Monday night football commentator. Matthews could have made his apology to his fans stronger by not explaining twice how tired he was and caught up in political numbers.
Truthfully, I don't think he said HE was stupid and wrong, but that his comment was. Did Senator Akin try that?

Don't think this will happen, but it might calm down Chris Matthews
"Chris Matthews said during a discussion with two liberal radio hosts: “What’s been the role of talk radio in fueling the heated language? I’ll mention a couple of names. People like Mark Levin, Michael Savage, for example, who every time you listen to them, they are furious. Furious at the left. With anger that just builds and builds in their voice and by the time they go to commercial they are just in some rage every night with ugly talk. Ugly sounding talk, and it never changes, it never modulates.”
Levin, a former Justice Department official, said: “I believe in the law. I believe in free speech. I believe in responsible speech. Now, you want people to tone it down? OK, good. Anybody who accuses me of inciting mass murder in Tucson, Arizona, is going to be sued. Period.”
The American Spectator observed on Thursday: “Levin’s challenge to Matthews and other left-wing media types comes on the heels of increasingly desperate attempts by the left-wing media to pin the Tucson violence by the mentally disturbed Jared Loughner on conservative talk radio stars."
Mark Levin Threatens to Sue Chris Matthews
At American Spectator: "I challenge Chris Matthews, I'll put $100,000 on the table, to find any example where Sarah Palin has promoted the murder of anybody," said Levin -- specifically excluding terrorists and the Taliban.
Levin went on: "A hundred thousand on the table if Chris Matthews can find anywhere Mark Levin has urged the murder of people who have different political viewpoints. That's the murder of politicians . . . where I said go out there and kill X,Y,Z. . . go out there and kill A, B, C. I challenge him right now. Sarah Palin. Me. Go ahead."

More insanity from Chris "leg tingle" Matthews
"CHRIS MATTHEWS: Okay let’s talk about what the message to a lot of the people was. The message coming out of the Tea Party people, and lot of them are good people, is every man for himself, basically. “No more taxes, no more government, no more everything. No more safety net. No more health care for everybody. Everybody just get out there, make your buck, save it, screw the government, move on.” Right?"
Not once has a Tea Party ever said every man for himself. It's always been help your neighbor--don't ask the government to take your money to do it for you!
The miners were fortunate enough to have a strong leader, someone along the lines of our own founders! A man with a vision, charisma, and a goal--to get his men out alive. Plus it was 75% American technology and 25% Chilean guts that got them out!
Gracious goodness God almighty, please someone give that man a clue, or else he'll cost even more American jobs--his own!

The Politics of Hollywood
Chris Matthews observed in an interview this morning that since the beginning of the Cold War in 1947, Hollywood hasn't made a single anti-Communist film. I had just turned on the radio, so I don't know the context. I suppose he meant Hollywood in the genre or form sense, not the place. I have no way of checking that information--even with Google that would be tough, because anymore, what is "Hollywood?" Someone would be sure to find something anti-Mao or anti-Stalin (although that's not anti-marxist, just the person) on film that got swept up. And they even make movies in Ohio--that's flyover country that liberals only visit during presidential campaigns. However, it does make some sense. There have been a lot of movies about WWII, Nazis, and blacklisting Hollywood communists. The Nazis killed far fewer people than the Communists did. Of course, the Communists have been in power longer, and killed millions upon millions of their own citizens (and it continues through starvation in North Korea), not just "others" like Jews, East Europeans, gypsies and the disabled. But American liberals have out done even the Soviet, Chinese and North Korean Communists. We Americans killed probably well over 40,000,000 unborn babies since the early 70s, and untold millions of Africans by taking DDT off the market--our own Rachel Carson holocaust. Add to that record, our global warming hysteria and regulations which will bring death to people in undeveloped countries. Already our regulation-crazy Democrats have pushed the Iraqis to sell their oil to the Chinese rather than mess with our rules. And in case our warm and fuzzy liberals have forgotten, the Chinese are still Communists who need oil. So, who am I, or Chris Matthews who raised the issue, to criticize the blood money of rich Hollywood investors, producers, directors and actors?
