Why we shouldn't use the China model

Biden's cozy with China, but it isn't in good shape even though we seem to be using it as a model.

China has a birth dearth--also too few women. Only a few countries have abortion laws as gruesome and destructive as ours, and China is one of them. In the USA, motherhood and womanhood is being demeaned and destroyed (pregnant persons) by the trans agenda.

China has too few workers, and too few young people to fund retirement and pension plans. In the USA, we pay people to stay out of the work force and kill pensions with raging inflation.

China is killing off its millionaires and billionaires. Literally. As in dead. Our Congress is just trying to tax them out of existence.

 
China is experiencing a fossil fuel shortage and many may freeze or starve to death.

China wants to wipe out Taiwan, a democracy. We're destroying ours from within by electing the radical left wing of the Democrat party.

Xi is a devoted Communist. We should learn from him. China is at war with the USA and has been for decades.

Americans don't want to work because of Biden's generous stay at home policies. Now he has to find those who are willing and eager to work. There's been an uptick in the births of North Atlantic right whale calves--7 have been born after zero. It's still not enough to save the species. Sort of like the birth rate of the USA. Too low to save the country, but no one seems to worry. We'll just import some fertile women across the border. In fact, one of our freshman Congress women, a Democrat, is advising her generation to not have children. I watched the very inspiring March for Life on EWTN. If you ever want to see REAL diversity, inclusion, multiculturalism and LOVE, that's the place to be. Catholics, Evangelicals, Mormons, Muslims, atheists, black, white, brown, men, women, children, teens, elderly, toddlers, in utero babies, politicians, bakers and candle stick makers. All united on one issue--life is precious, don't kill the most vulnerable, alone and helpless just because they are appearing at an inconvenient time, or are disabled, or are female.

The reason Democrats demand open borders is because we can no longer populate our own country. Families are the safety net, and now that government wants that job too they have to make sure there are bodies to fill those jobs to pay for their plan. Promote divorce, promote living together outside marriage, make sure women can't be fulfilled without being a wage slave, make sure she's paying off college debt for 2 decades so there's no time for babies and children, tell people there's no difference between sexes, so why even have sex, make women think they are both helpless and yet powerful. Perfect recipe for disaster.

And today the counter march--the feminists, Marxists, pro-abortion, government paid labor, elderly boomers--all marching to kill off the family, lower the birth rate, and destroy the nation. It will be promoted by the MSM because who needs people, anyway, to buy the lies?

Sex ratio changes as women postpone pregnancy

I'll have to do a bit more research on something I uncovered recently. Older women have fewer sons than younger women. That changes the sex ratio of the nation as women postpone pregnancy. "Combining all the years studied, older mothers (40 to 44 years of age and 45 years and over) have the lowest total sex birth ratios (1,038 and 1,039, respectively) and mothers 15 to 19 years of age had the highest sex birth ratio (1,054). Since women do most of the care taking, perhaps it's God's way to provide career women with someone to take care of them in retirement? When she's 85, daughter xyz will only be 40! Or maybe the sex ratio changed because the latest change began around the time of second wave feminist movement. Another odd thing, if the couple has a son (and now there are fewer), the father is more likely to stick around, whether married or not. If the first child is a girl, the divorce rate is higher than if it's a boy. Little girls may be sugar and spice, but dad wants to play baseball.

Thank goodness my parents' fourth child was a boy, but Mom was 29, not an older mother by today’s standards. He's still adorable, the sweetest brother a girl could have.

Title X and the birth rate

Federal contraceptive funding was signed into law by President Nixon with Title X co-sponsored by Rep. GHW Bush (R-TX) in 1970. Must have been a success. Our birth rate is now below replacement, and although that accounts for married women, it hasn't changed much the birth rate for unmarried women and girls. It's been very useful in controlling the population of whites, thus we need to import immigrants. White median age is 41; Hispanic 27.
Planned Parenthood uses federal tax dollars to give contraceptives to children under 16 without informing their parents. More sex = more pregnancies = more abortions = more dollars for PP. Title X funding cannot be used for abortions, but Title X grant recipients and abortion providers are allowed to share office and staff. Planned Parenthood, the major recipient of Title X funding is also the largest abortion provider in the country. For FY 2017, Title X received $286.5 million, down from the program’s peak of $317.5 million (in FY 2010). Title X historically has been better funded under Republicans than Democrats. The most drastic cuts since 1982 were under Obama.

The southern border wall

The southern border wall is about 1/3 finished, was approved in bi-partisan support over a decade ago (Secure Fence Act 2006). Obama used a different method--deportation, and his administration was active in rounding up criminal aliens, but not those who had violated the law but had been law abiding after getting here, with the exception of false documents, bad checks, no driver's license, etc. There were twice as many deportations in the Obama years as the Bush years. In 2015, catching them at the... border dropped by about half, and of course, many illegal aliens went home during the recession. Since Trump's election, border crossings have gone down again. 

Still, the left rages. I believe (as do others) there is a link between abortion and border crossings. The U.S. birth rate is below replacement level and that seriously affects the social safety net that need to be paid for with workers' taxes. Because our government has approved the killing of millions the last 40+ years it now needs to find replacements who can work and pay taxes. At least in the first and second generation our African immigrants (come on a special diversity quota--over a million each decade) and the Mexican and Central American immigrants love their babies and increase our birth rate. It only takes a generation or two to reeducate them to American values.

Withdrawing books

I'm withdrawing books. That's librarian talk. We also call that deacquisitioning. I have three locations to take them--church, library sale, and cancer resale shop (four if you count my son). Each item is recorded on my book blog and they are in piles by topic/theme on the floor of my office. This is the first time I've ever given away cook books. We have become ROMEOs. Retired old men eating out. (Need any Martha Stewart?) The shelves seem to look the same.

Then my husband gets inspired, takes a break from the watercolor of Granada he's working on, and brings up about 50 titles from his office. Bad idea. He doesn't know how to do it. I found one of my grandfather's books on farm buildings with terrific drawings from early 20th century, and half of what he "contributed" were my books which were on his shelves (too large for mine). 

This introduction to book blues is to tell you I found a pristine copy of Saturday Evening Post, Fall 1972, with a portrait of Richard Nixon on the cover. That surprised me a bit since neither of us ever voted for him, or liked him. However, what is stunning is an article by Paul Ehrlich on "Population Control." He was very influential in the 60s and 70s and totally misled all western nations about the dangers of overpopulation and advocated ZPG. (It was really a disguised message I think about keeping blacks and browns under control.) Anyway, if you sort through his hints, hysteria and hyperbole, it sounds exactly like the "climate change" gooble-degook we hear today.

Erhlich is still around. There's a Vatican workshop on Biological Extinction Feb. 27-Mar.1 and he's a speaker. What a shame. Abortion, contraception, euthanasia. Speakers completely violating all church teaching. But then, so do Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry. All advanced and Western countries, U.S. Europe, Japan, China have birth rates below replacement. That's what is behind the push for more immigration--there aren't enough workers to fund the social programs. But I'm not sure Somali-Swedes or Yemeni-Germans really want to work and merge into a thrifty, hard working value system. Of course, Japan and China aren't taking in middle east refugees despite birthrates well below replacement. Nor are Nigeria or Kenya--they are coming to the U.S.--over a million in the last decade under our "diversity" immigration plan.

Why can't we be like Europe?

Immigrants are flooding into Europe. A generation or two ago immigrants helped their falling birthrates as their empires broke up and they felt an obligation. They were hard workers, fertile, and wanted a future for their children. Not so much today. Those 2nd generation from immigrant families want to join ISIS; and the new ones want the social benefits pay off, don't want to work at all, and didn't bring women with them. And the birthrate is below replacement due to abortion and contraception and good times. Next? Well, looks like they'll have to pass some euthanasia laws for the old.

Yes, these are the countries Bernie wants us to imitate.
