Christians who defend slavery

On February 20, 2025, "the Trump administration officially designated eight Latin American cartels, including six from Mexico, as Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) for their major roles in drug smuggling and human trafficking into the United States." 72%, of those trafficked for sex in the U.S. are immigrants. Most of them are here illegally.

https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/blogs/new-atlanticist/how-us-military-action-against-drug-cartels-in-mexico-could-unfold/?

I'm concerned that Trump haters, many of whom are Democrat Christians, don't seem to understand the seriousness of this. Particularly the sex trafficking of women and children, as well as labor trafficking. Let's call it by a less sanitized name: slavery. Drugs are not a renewable, sustainable enterprise--slavery is. Once they sneak (or openly transport with open borders as in the Biden administration) them in, the victims and their families have to repay exorbitant prices to the cartels/smugglers. There are always more dues to pay. Some Christians are looking the other way just as they were in the 1850s-1860s or during the Jim Crow era. They waste their time with ever expanding and lucrative DEI contracts while ignoring the slavery right in front of them.

Ten or fifteen years ago there were many articles, documentaries, and meetings about this cancer. More than today. It's as though we Christians were all talk and no walk, a common failing. Now that someone is actually getting tough there's more virtue signaling, hand wringing and Lawfare.

New York's immigration crisis

On January 8, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported that 378,504 people have arrived in Egypt since the war in Sudan began in April 2023. Some are legal, but most illegal, and all need humanitarian aid. Now compare that to New York City, which has received about 100,000 illegal immigrants through the U.S. Southern border. We have a functioning government both in New York and in Washington DC. We have the "brightest and best" elites a blue state can offer, with many well-heeled New Yorkers and local churches contributing food, and others complaining and whining that southern governors have caused the problem. It's Congress' responsibility to set immigration law. But the President needs to see that our borders are not overrun with an invasion.

Thousands of Chinese are desperate to get into USA

Greta Van Susteren was in Necocli, Colombia interviewing for Newsmax Chinese illegal immigrants about to go through the Darien Gap jungle in their struggle to get into the USA. They are looking for political asylum. The cartels make millions off desperate people. She asked them why they were taking such risks. They really believe there is freedom here.

Has anyone told them about Joe Biden?

Northern, rich sanctuary cities complain about illegal invasion

"MSNBC’s Chris Hayes called the migrant flights “deeply deeply sick and dehumanizing” as if the 50 individuals were shipped to a concentration camp. CNN actually compared the flights to one of the nation’s most glamorous vacation spots to the Nazi Holocaust. The Washington Post’s Max Boot, who last month called Martha’s Vineyard “the real America,” condemned the move as “beneath contempt” for the Florida governor.

The majority-white, wealthy liberal enclave where median home sales are north of $1.3 million and where 150,000 tourists descend every summer should, however, be well-equipped to absorb 50 new migrants into its community. After all, rich white liberals have spent the better half of the last decade lecturing Americans to bring home “your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free” and welcome unchecked illegal migration."

Illegal immigration reform under Biden

Like every President since the early 1970s, Joe Biden is promising to do something about illegal immigration. That way he can begin with splitting Republicans since not all agreed with stronger border security--and you can be sure that won't be on his list. I suppose if he just made crossing the border legal, that would fix it. That's what some in his party--like the squad--want. If we'd just stop penalizing and criminalizing car theft, there would be no more car thieves, right?

https://fas.org/sgp/crs/homesec/R42138.pdf This history and collection of data was written during the Obama years (2016), so we can keep political hatred out of range and it's safe even for Democrats to read.

Hysterectomies and illegal immigrants

The hospital representative has spoken up and said they have evidence of two hysterectomies. The news has been full of the whistleblower version. You really have to search to get anything else on the story. However, I have another point.

I’m sure there are abortionists who don’t collect fetuses or baby feet, but the ghoul Gosnell in Philadelphia did. He even fed body parts to his turtles and the facilities were filthy. Then there was the abortionist Klopfer who died and they found thousands of preserved babies’ bodies and parts in garages in Illinois and Indiana. In Columbus, there’s a doctor on trial for “offing” his dying patients (25) with overdoses of fentanyl—Mt. Carmel (Trinity) system. Our local media paid some attention to local issues, but the Gosnell trial was completely ignored by MSM (he’s in prison). The Indian Health Service had a terrible expose published by WSJ last year (just found it) about the health of native Americans, and I doubt it even made a ripple, but the study covered 2005-2019. Three presidents. Charges were serious enough I’m sure it goes back much further, since the government’s cradle to grave health care has never had good results.

But somehow, Trump is responsible for the privately contracted medical system with a foreign doctor in one county in one state who the whistleblower says “collected uteruses.” And because Trump is president, the media make it a hot button issue implying it’s his problem, according to the national news and social media. I don’t recall our Ohio governor (forgotten which one) being responsible for what went on at Mt. Carmel, or the governors of Pennsylvania, Illinois or Indiana being responsible for what 2 abortionists did in their states. In fact, in order to protect the right of women to “health care,” those cases received only a fraction of the coverage of the hysterectomies. It seems all news is becoming political and “gotcha.”

Amin, the foreign Georgia doctor, has been working since 1988, and had already been charged and fined with Medicare and Medicaid fraud over 5 years ago. If the whistleblower’s charges (very serious, not just hysterectomies) are true, then there must be other workers who were negligent in not reporting this years ago. In Gosnell’s case, he was also having sex with some of his staff. Gross.

Why does the Squad fight against ICE?

ICE is the biggest fighter against sex slavery and pedophilia in the world. ICE removed enough opioids coming into the country the past year to kill our entire population twice over. But the "Squad" (all Democrats and supporters of Bernie Sanders for President) wants ICE dismantled. Now why would that be? Why would these four women support such evil crimes against women and children and families? We can't allow our elected officials to bad mouth and disrespect law enforcement. They didn't write the laws; they enforce them.

"HSI [Homeland Security Investigations] arrested 5,750 criminals associated with human smuggling in FY19, a 41 percent increase from FY18..

This increase is attributed in part to the Southwest border initiative to combat fraudulent families and the use of Rapid DNA testing. HSI has dedicated more than 400 personnel to combating this issue and protecting children from being smuggled. HSI is also focused on identifying and stopping TCOs from generating false documents and supporting child smuggling through the use of fraudulent family units."

"HSI seized a record high 12,466 pounds of opioids, a 2,538 pounds increase from FY18.

HSI seized a record high 3,688 pounds of fentanyl, a 950 pound increase from FY18.

HSI made more than 1,900 fentanyl-related arrests, an increase of 175 percent from FY18.

HSI seized 145,117 pounds of methamphetamine in FY19."

https://www.ice.gov/features/HSI-2019

There was a time when this was a bipartisan issue. Now due to the hate Democrats have for the President, only Republicans are protecting women and children of 140 different nationalities, including the unborn.

Illegal alien vs. gobbledygook, doublespeak and political correctness

The correct term is illegal alien because an undocumented immigrant is not factual. It's fiction. The illegal alien may have a lot of documents--driver's license, social security card, or any number of fake documents. He also is not an immigrant unless he's gone through the legal process or may be a permanent resident.

Illegal alien is the term in law; undocumented immigrant, or undocumented worker, or unauthorized worker, are just terms meant to soften the blow that they are here illegally. The made up terms are used by word police who don't like our system of law.

Adoption of illegal immigrant children? No!

A Democrat cousin (on my Dad’s side) has claimed that the Trump Administration is cruelly stealing the children of illegal immigrants and putting them up for adoption. Eventually, after I asked for details, he provided one link which originated with Associated Press, and then was massaged by another publication. I won't show you the link--there are so many inaccuracies I wouldn't want you to post it--some people only read the headlines and continue to pass the anti-Trump rumors.

The story was built around two children of illegal immigrants who were put in foster care--2014 and 2015. Guess who was president? Further details were from the 1980s. In both cases, the parents got their children back--the agencies that provide this service for the government make it clear to the foster parents they cannot adopt. In the one case in Michigan where a judge didn't wait for the parents to be found, the federal government was the agency that stepped in to return the child.

I'm not sure why a journalist would be so deceptive in developing the story, using stories from the Obama years, and mixing it with hysteria about Trump and then adding in the 1980s. It's manipulative. We can guess which political party she/he belongs to. American children are taken from their parents when they violate the law, but Democrats see this as different. This is a way to attack Trump.

But you have to read to the end to find out that the reunited family, back in their home country, still communicate with the foster family because they know they love their little girl too. Must have been some hell hole.

Democrats endanger lives of illegal immigrants and cheat the legal ones

Based on Census data (ACS) there are about 44.5 million immigrants in the U.S., or about 13.7% of the population. (That number doesn't include foreign born here for other reasons.) Unlike Ilhan Omar, immigrants and children of immigrants are usually among the most patriotic of all Americans--especially if the stories of WWII or the Gulag or the Disappeared have been passed down. By far, immigrants are the most eager to take advantage of our property rights and free markets--something they probably weren't allowed in their country of birth.

Recently, the terms immigrant and "illegal immigrant" have been deliberately morphed although they are very different. Even finding unbiased statistical data is difficult because of slanted meanings of words. But that number gives you an idea why Democrats are rewarding illegal immigrants at the expense of the legal ones waiting and paying high legal fees and the refugees already given numbers to enter (45,000 a year). It's a numbers game for federal money, political power and electoral votes.
They are also putting the illegal immigrants at risk for trafficking, health, employment and education problems, plus 5-10 years down the road they still won't be legal but their children will be causing great stress in families. True refugees are required to apply for a green card to become a permanent resident after one year in the United States. After five years of residency, they become eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship. That is not the case for the catch and release, reward the coyotes system for those who fade into the general population.

Special treatment for illegals with gender dysphoria

Thanks to an Obama policy continued by the Trump administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) gives transgender illegal aliens special treatment, including their own detention center in New Mexico that offers hair and makeup classes, a recreation area, gym, television rooms, a lab and pharmacy. Also free hormone therapy and legal services. Does this sound like a concentration camp?

Do native born Americans use more welfare at a higher rate than illegal immigrants?

Have you ever wondered where some anti-Trumpers and Leftists come up with their "native born Americans use more welfare than illegals" memes and mottoes? Just read such an article today by a very sound research organization, Cato, which is libertarian. "Immigration and the welfare state: immigrant and native use rates and benefit levels for means-tested welfare and entitlement programs." Alex Nowrasteh and Robert Orr, May 10, 2018.

Here's the reasoning. First of all, toss in Social Security, SSI and Medicare into the pot and call that welfare. I know more than a few Americans who would object to calling the retirement plan and insurance they paid for "welfare."

Second, don't distinguish among green card holders, permanent residents, temporary workers, students (F-1, F-2, F-3 visas) refugees and naturalized citizens and illegal border crashers from 84 countries pouring through our southern border. It wouldn't shock me too much if green card computer employees of Google, Amazon and Microsoft from India and China earning 3x the wage of the average American don't use welfare. Just chatted with a 20-something recent OSU graduate (probably Indian, but could be Pakistani) on my walk yesterday, ready to take off for Seattle to work. From student visa to work visa (H1b).

Third, neglect to point out that virtually all the in-kind benefits that come from the 50 states, originate at the federal level--the National School Lunch Program, WIC, Head Start. Since those are available to all regardless of immigration status, that's also on the wrong side of the ledger.

Fourth, ignore that no one actually has a figure on how many illegals are living among us, working 2-3 jobs, being paid under the table, and sending remittances home to Ecuador or Honduras or Kenya. The churches and non-profits who receive government grants do not ask questions--they serve all.

Table 1 in the article disproves Cato's thesis by using what most Americans would define as federal "welfare." Percentage using Cash assistance, 0.7 by natives, 0.8 by noncitizens; SNAP 9.6 by natives, 14.6 by non-citizens; Medicaid 12.3 by natives, 18.9 by non-citizens.

The article is really loosey-goosey when it comes to the children. It has a category for "child immigrants" (which could be children of green card holders, work visa holders, naturalized citizens, temporary workers) and for "citizen children of noncitizen parents." Duh! I'm not too shocked if the immigrant child of a Filipino computer programmer working for Google is less likely to be using welfare than the child of a coal miner in West Virginia whose parents lost their jobs because of a clean air regulation.

It's not fake news, just government statistics with no agreement on terms.

Constant anti-Trump drumbeat

I am so sick of the anti-Trump drivel in every media source--this in "Architect," which awards issue (336 pp) is the size of the old Penney's Christmas catalog. President Obama was known as the "deporter in chief," turning back hundreds of thousands of illegals, and the so-called child cage photos were from his administration. Only because he was dealing with fewer illegals crossing the border has Trump passed Obama on numbers and Soros funded non-profits are assisting with the onslaught. Why is it journalists in all media are all progressives? Why is it "anti-immigrant" to protect our sovereignty which is the #1 job of a President?

Author Jacobs brings up his grandmother, a Polish immigrant, who opened a Kosher restaurant in Hoboken to first drum up sympathy with readers, but of course, there weren't 22 million illegal Poles storming our borders after WWII, were there Mr. Jacobs? "Make the Road New York" is an immigrant rights group and it has a building designed and out sourced to a Mexican firm hired while Obama was president (I suppose there are jobs American architects won't do in a struggling economy?). I'm betting there are walls, doors and locks in this building.

https://www.architectmagazine.com/design/ten-arquitectos-designs-a-beacon-for-the-resistance_o

Over half of this issue is devoted to advertising, indicating a booming economy. I hope Mr. Jacobs takes notice.

Benefits and costs of refugees and immigrants

The CATO Institute has some good information and detail on immigrants vs. native born and their use of the safety net programs. https://www.cato.org/publications/immigration-research-policy-brief/immigration-welfare-state-immigrant-native-use-rates

Refugees and illegal immigrants are not treated the same. https://www.disabilityapprovalguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/Refugee-Report-Draft.pdf  Refugees are generally eligible for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP aka Food Stamps). But like the rest of us, they are means tested. Under existing federal statutes, unlike other immigrant groups, refugees can receive federal means tested benefit programs immediately upon arrival in the U.S. as long as they meet the eligibility criteria (often set at a state level).

I believe that investing in legal immigrants and refugees pays back, and it is a humanitarian act,  but the loopholes like what we're seeing now claiming refugee status to get across the border is very bad for our country. Ilhan Omar is an example of an ungrateful refugee who takes advantage of the system.

Cubans at the southern border

Imagine that. Mexico is overwhelmed by the illegal immigration headed for our southern border and over a thousand broke out of the holding facility. The majority of migrants moving through Mexico are from Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador, according to Reuters, but Cubans are also joining in large numbers. More than 1,000 people from Cuba are now in Chiapas, according to Mexican officials.

The word has been put out by leftist non-profits that help them and Democrats (but I repeat) that if they can get to the U.S. they will be let go to "return" later for a hearing. And of course, very few do because most are not refugees. But I am curious why Cubans would take these risks to leave their socialist paradise.

Liberal friend Jim (an electrician) believes Cuba’s government failed because of U.S. sanctions. Pfffft. The sanctions are gone, and they never had sanctions from other countries. They had no restricted trade from South America or Mexico or USSR. THE SYSTEM FAILED. I get travel brochures each week showing 1950s automobiles and happy, clappy Cuban dancers. Why do people like Jim still believe in socialism when he’s seen it fail his entire lifetime, and he’s educated and knows the end result is always Cuba or Venezuela or the USSR? Y

Yes, we have a system for asylum seekers, but bussing well dressed, well fed, freely traveling Hondurans and Salvadorans and Pakistanis illegally to swamp our borders, courts and safety net system isn't it.

Voting by non-citizens

This pre-Obama, pre-Trump article (from July 2008) on voting by non-citizens is interesting, well thought out, and shows how times have changed in 11 years. In the old days,  the onus was on the illegal behavior of the non-citizen and how it disenfranchised American voters. Now the writer would just be a white supremacist for suggesting illegal aliens and legal aliens shouldn't vote.

https://www.heritage.org/report/the-threat-non-citizen-voting?

The evidence is indisputable that aliens, both legal and illegal, are registering and voting in federal, state, and local elections. Following a mayor's race in Compton, California, for example, aliens testified under oath in court that they voted in the election.[8] In that case, a candidate who was elected to the city council was permanently disqualified from holding public office in California for soliciting non-citizens to register and vote.[9] The fact that non-citizens registered and voted in the election would never have been discovered except for the fact that it was a very close election and the incumbent mayor, who lost by less than 300 votes, contested it.[10]

The President’s emergency powers

We’re still living under emergency powers put in place by previous presidents.  According to Democrats, only President Trump can't call a national emergency when we are being invaded by thousands every year, a large number who are members of gangs, who are trafficking women and children, who are using children to pose as "family" groups, who are bringing in drugs.

What if they were Russians arriving in San Francisco or New York demanding refugee status for admittance? By the thousands. The Russians are coming, the Russians are coming. Big ships of them because Putin wanted to empty his jails and prison camps.  Every year. Demanding the social safety net originally set up for our poor and unemployed. Wanting all the labels and directions printed in А, Б, В, Г, Д, Е, Ё, Ж, З, И, Й, К, Л, М, Н, О, П, Р, С, Т, У, Ф, Х, Ц, Ч, Ш, Щ, Ъ, Ы, Ь, Э, Ю, Я, and press 2 for Russian? Demanding special sanctuary cities so they can avoid police and prey on Russians who came as legal immigrants and refugees in the 1990s?

What if instead of hundreds crossing our northern border with Canada annually there were thousands and thousands flooding into Minnesota and Washington, working the good tech jobs, or even as baristas, taking over slots in the colleges intended by minority affirmative action for people born here?

Ilhan Omar has shown us one doesn’t have to be born in the U.S. to be in Congress and have an ugly, biased, bigoted Twitter account and try to destroy our ally Israel.

Removal and arrest of illegal aliens

In 2017 256,085 illegal aliens were removed from the U.S. , and 57% were convicted criminals. Also in FY2018, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 158,581 aliens, 90% of whom had criminal convictions (66%), pending criminal charges (21%), or previously issued final orders (3%). The overall arrest figure represents an 11% increase over FY2017. https://www.ice.gov/features/ERO-2018

So maybe you’re thinking, then why do we need a wall if we successfully deport or arrest that many?

1) there are already many sections of the wall protecting major cities, but leaving huge gaps, like near Laredo, TX.  More than 300 Bangladeshi illegal migrants have been arrested by Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents in Texas this fiscal year. https://onenewsnow.com/national-security/2018/06/12/texas-border-sector-arrests-306th-bangladeshi-illegal-this-year

2) why allow them in just to be removed or arrested later at the cost of a lot of manpower,

3) if they have convictions or pending charges, why do you want them living in your sanctuary city in Hispanic neighborhoods or next door to you in Cleveland or Chicago?

Do non-citizens vote in U.S. Elections

This article was published in the journal Electoral Studies in 2014, and the authors wrote about their findings in the Washington Post, which because it is a liberal publication, had to post all the criticisms not in the comments, but in the paragraph preceding the article!

“Our best guess, based upon extrapolations from the portion of the sample with a verified vote, is that 6.4 percent of non-citizens voted in 2008 and 2.2 percent of non-citizens voted in 2010.”  This received no where near the attention that the “Russia stole the election” meme did. But it would definitely change an outcome like the close votes we’ve seen in Arizona, Florida and George in the 2018 elections.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/monkey-cage/wp/2014/10/24/could-non-citizens-decide-the-november-election/?

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0261379414000973  Because this citation directs you to just a summary, I’ve included a link the the pre-pub, which is essentially the same thing.

http://ww2.odu.edu/~jrichman/NonCitizenVote.pdf

The important thing here is, it was published before Donald Trump came down the escalator in 2015.
