What's uglier than power line towers?

Lots of things.
    Wind farms

    nuclear power cooling towers

    solar panels dotting the neighborhood

piles of firewood for cook stoves

    earth mound houses and huts

banks of batteries for a cloudy day

fields of corn to be fed to automobiles

Power towers of a reasonable height and width are something many of us deal with on a daily basis. New hideously tall and wide power towers that are noisy and hum all the time are not something I want in my back yard or my neighbors' back yards. They want to put the biggest towers right through the only bastion of pristine farmland left here in northern VA. I say, NO WAY!! Find another way to get power from Ohio to NYC. I purchased my house because it was in the country away from those things. I could have purchased a house with a power tower in the back yard for very little money. Now, I might end up with a house that is worth nothing because they want to put the towers through the neighborhood. I DON'T THINK SO!! I am not happy... I don't want power towers. We don't need them. They don't give me any more reliable power than I already don't have. All they do is allow the power company to sell power to NY and PA.
