On the murder of Jasmine Barnes

Shaun King didn't offer assistance [$100,000] when other black children were murdered. Interracial crime is relatively rare, but it is more often black on white when it does happen. This is one more attempt to disrupt the relations between the races. "Blacks, who make up 13 percent of the U.S. population, committed 85.5 percent of those [631,830] victimizations, or 540,360 felonious assaults on whites, while whites, 61 percent of the population, committed 14.4 percent, or 91,470 felonious assaults on blacks." Silly me.  I always think “hate crime” when someone chooses to murder another person. When children are murdered, according to the Bureau of Justice, it is usually by their parents or care givers or someone who knows them.  And guns are almost never involved.

Hate crime—not if it’s a black shooter?

“A 20-year-old man in Texas was arrested Saturday and charged in the death of 7-year-old Jazmine Barnes, who was shot and killed while riding in a car with her family in Houston. Another man is being held in connection with the shooting but has not yet been charged, a lawyer for the girl's family said.

Eric Black Jr., 20, was charged with capital murder and appeared in court early Sunday morning, wearing handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit. He was ordered held without bail. A prosecutor said Black admitted to driving the car when his passenger opened fire.” CBSNews. 

No comment by CBS on the media frenzy when one of the children had said it was a white man, but Eric Black Jr., is black.

Jazmine’s life was brutally snuffed out.  I have always been puzzled why when it is “labeled” a hate crime that somehow makes it more “hateful,” especially when a white killed by a black or a woman killed by a man, doesn’t get that sort of national media attention. It was even being linked to 2 other killings.

Now it is “just a tragic case of mistaken identity.”  That’s the first thing I thought of when I heard of this happening, because that’s what it is in the TV crime shows.

“Although witness descriptions of a white man in his forties at the scene prompted hate crime speculation and led civil rights activist Shaun King to offer a substantial reward for the killer or killers, at least one of the suspects currently in custody is African-American.

Prior to the arrests, Merritt said, “We do believe that it [the murder] was racially motivated in part because our nation at this moment is highly racially charged.”

Community activist Deric Muhammad linked Jazmine’s murder with another murder of two African-Americans in Houston on Aug. 30, 2017.

“It’s apparent black people are under attack in this particular part of the city,” Muhammad said.

The girl’s death sparked an outpouring of concern from around the nation. Retired professional basketball star Shaquille O’Neal and veteran Houston Police Officer Kenneth Miles recently said they would pay for the girl’s funeral. “

A letter to the Mayor of Houston

Dear Ms. Mayor of Houston,

You believe anyone with gender confusion or change should be allowed to share restrooms with whomever they identify to the point you want to destroy the first amendment over it. At what point in the conversion should the sharing begin?

On NPR I listened to a female to male transgendered man, at least that's how s/he identified herself--only hormone treatments, but no surgery yet--just the clothing, facial hair, muscle bulking, voice change, receding hairline, etc. Much to her shock, because s/he'd been raised a good feminist, s/he found out her brain had been changed. S/he had become interested in pornography, and even just a little skin showing on another female aroused her. S/he found her crude thoughts embarrassing, but unstoppable. S/he began losing her verbal acuity which had always been her long suit, and s/he had difficulty crying. S/he claimed she was reading more in the sciences which had never interested her before. Some points sound like a joke, but this interview was on NPR and I know we can trust the government in all things about sex.  The NPR guest doesn't have the right equipment for the urinal in the men's room yet, but sounds a bit dangerous for the ladies room. Maybe while in Houston, s/he could use your private restroom?

P.S. You may remember Chaz Bono's girlfriend (a lesbian) complained about her former lesbian lover's male behavior (and personal habits) and left her/him. The former Chastity Bono decided her attraction wasn’t because she was a lesbian, but because she was a man.

Hate speech and Houston

Gay marriage, confused restrooms and hate speech packaged ordinances such as Houston's will not be the end of it, folks. There is hate speech legislation that includes 30 forms of sexual behavior, many of which I didn't know existed such as klismaphilia and gerontosexuality, as well as pedophilia and incest. H.R.1913 - Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009.

• Asphyxophilia - sexual gratification derived from activities that involve oxygen deprivation through hanging, strangulation, or other means

This will not make the national news

Everyone knows the names.  Trayvon  Martin and George Zimmerman.  The big deal is that a “white Hispanic” shot a black 17 year old while on a security detail. Politicians whipped up the crowds.  Trayvon’s friends were interviewed on national TV.  His mother received huge amounts of money to tell her story.  Jesse the race baiter showed up to perform before the cameras to make sure we hadn’t forgotten him.

No one will hear about this—except perhaps in the Houston area. ”Luan Vu, 19, is charged with capital murder in the death of 17-year-old Vy Ngoc Bao-Pham.”  If a man kills a woman, same race, and she’s not a lesbian,  no big deal. First he hit her with a tree branch and then he strangled her then he hid her body under a bridge.  No gun.  No race issues.  No hate crime.  But she’s just as dead as Trayvon.

Prayer march in Houston for Life

Planned Parenthood is renovating a former bank in Houston, turning it into a 78,000 square foot facility that will include a surgical wing equipped to provide late-term abortions. There will be a prayer march January 18 headed by Lou Engle, founder of the pro-life group The Call to Conscience to protest this expansion by Planned Parenthood which targets minority groups.

Joining Engle at the prayer march will be Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, and Samuel Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference. Religious leaders expected to attend include Bishop Harry Jackson, senior pastor of Hope Christian Church; Richard Land, president of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention; Star Parker, president of the Coalition for Urban Renewal and Education; and Abby Johnson, the former director of a Planned Parenthood clinic.
