Hate speech and hate crimes

I for one have never liked the terms "hate speech" and "hate crime" (protected characteristics of race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and disability). Due to our First Amendment, hate speech laws don't fair well, but colleges are big on "speech codes" and requiring SJW special retraining camps for incoming students and faculty. The more race relations improve, the narrower academe defines the crime so it can add to its administration.

Unless a white man is a Jew or gay or transitioning to female, who is ever charged with a hate crime for attacking him? For race, it only seems to be certain races. If there are two different African immigrant groups in a Columbus high school, who charges them with hate crimes when they attack each other? Would a Columbus juvenile court judge know that one group was slaves of the other 300 years ago? I received a notice of a crime from OSU a few days ago and it made a point of not mentioning the offender's race. Something the whole culture seems obsessed with, yet can't be used to identify a criminal!

What do these laws/codes add to bad language and violent crime except a racial component to discuss on the evening news?  If black rappers can say the words, why can't a white radio host? If a black man robs or terrorizes a black family, why is that not a hate crime, if it is called a hate crime when a white or Hispanic criminal does it? Almost all crime victims (except Asians) are within same groups. Based on the 2018 Bureau of Justice survey, the offender was of the same race or ethnicity as the victim in 70% of violent incidents involving black victims, 62% of those involving white victims, 45% of those involving Hispanic victims, and 24% of those involving Asian victims. Lesbians against Lesbians. Gays against gays. No one commits a crime out of love (although some celebrity abortion advocates claim to).

Hate crime legislation took hold with the Civil Rights movement in the 60s, then a special law for violence against women but not men, then sex and peculiar identities were added. NY is considering adding more on top of what we already have just for anti-Semitism. Now all sorts of quasi legal threats are made if a religion disallows marriage of same sex because it violates the Bible and all of history, or if an employer doesn't recognize the feelings of men who believe they are women.

And yet Democrats, the Left and their print, internet and social media are allowed to call Conservatives and their president all manner of nasty names on the air ways, on TV and public debate--from racist to terrorist to Nazi. They can reinvent as "hate speech" the OK sign or even the words, Make America great. I do see hate, and it's from the Left manipulating our laws intended to protect people. But they shouldn't be the only ones protected by the First Amendment.

Academe encourages spying which bleeds over into general society

“Hundreds of universities nationwide now maintain Orwellian systems that ask students to report—often anonymously—their neighbors, friends, and professors for any instances of supposed biased speech and expression.”

Many college students believe “hate speech” isn’t covered under the First Amendment.  And it is, but hate speech in my opinion has come to mean anything a Democrat/Socialist doesn’t agree with, like one’s views on traditional marriage, pro-life, secure borders, baking a cake,  climate change, or voter ID.

“Fifty-one percent of college students think they have a right to shout down a speaker with whom they disagree. Nineteen percent of students think that it’s acceptable to use violence to prevent a speaker from speaking. Over 50 percent agree that colleges should prohibit speech and viewpoints that might offend certain people.”

Report insults and slights to Police—it’s not illegal, but do it anyway

"While cases of hateful and hurtful speech are not crimes, if the individual(s) identified are students, MU’s Office of Student Conduct can take disciplinary action.”  Police at University of Missouri ask students to report speech to the police that hurts their feelings.  Would that be "fatty fatty two by four," or "you're ugly, bitch," or "you're a retard," or "You've got man boobs," or "No, I won't buy you a beer, chink" or accusing a male of "white privilege" when he's 1/16th native American and on campus as a minority scholarship despite blonde hair and blue eyes? Is it OK for a gay guy to use a homosexual insult?  Can a black guy use the N-word? How far will police take this? Really, this hate speech stuff is out of control. Shame, shame on all academe. It's much worse than the "in loco parentis" of the 40s and 50s.

Religious freedom in Indiana

Hate mongers are making the Indiana law (based on the federal law) about homosexuality—or 2% of the population, only a tiny fraction of whom want to be married. In 2008 Barack Obama ran on the law of the land, both DOMA and Don’t ask don’t tell, then in 2012  announced he had evolved about his beliefs as the gay lobby became more powerful and he already had the conservative black vote (black Christians are more conservative than white).  Then his closest adviser and friend, David Axelrod, admitted in his recent book that Obama lied in order to get elected.   The 75% of the population who say they are Christian apparently don’t matter in the push to squash another viewpoint on God’s purpose for creating us male and female. And to these haters and bigots, the first amendment protections don’t matter.   Should the owner of a bakery be required to make tiny KKK cupcakes for a child’s party?  Should a Jewish deli be required to sell ham?  Do Muslim retailers need to sell products made with porcine parts or lard or allow dogs in their stores and taxis? Should Christian trinket stores be required to sell little statues of Hindu gods? Do Jewish fraternal organizations on college campuses need to pledge Muslim members? Are churches protected from the hate speechers—can pastors preach from the book of Romans?

Hate speech and Houston

Gay marriage, confused restrooms and hate speech packaged ordinances such as Houston's will not be the end of it, folks. There is hate speech legislation that includes 30 forms of sexual behavior, many of which I didn't know existed such as klismaphilia and gerontosexuality, as well as pedophilia and incest. H.R.1913 - Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009.

  • Apotemnophilia - sexual arousal associated with the stump(s) of an Amputee
  • Asphyxophilia - sexual gratification derived from activities that involve oxygen deprivation through hanging, strangulation, or other means
  • Autogynephilia - the sexual arousal of a man by his own perception of himself as a woman or dressed as a woman
  • Bisexual - the capacity to feel erotic attraction toward, or to engage in sexual interaction with, both males and females.
  • Coprophilia - sexual arousal associated with feces
  • Exhibitionism - the act of exposing one’s genitals to an unwilling observer to obtain sexual gratification
  • Fetishism/Sexual Fetishism - obtaining sexual excitement primarily or exclusively from an inanimate object or a particular part of the body
  • Frotteurism - approaching an unknown woman from the rear and pressing or rubbing the penis against her buttocks
  • Heterosexuality - the universal norm of sexuality with those of the opposite sex
  • Homosexual/Gay/Lesbian - people who form sexual relationships primarily or exclusively with members of their own gender
  • Gender Identity Disorder - a strong and persistent cross-gender identification, which is the desire to be, or the insistence that one is, or the other sex, "along with" persistent discomfort about one’s assigned sex or a sense of the inappropriateness in the gender role of that sex
  • Gerontosexuality - distinct preference for sexual relationships primarily or exclusively with an elderly partner
  • Incest - sex with a sibling or parent
  • Kleptophilia - obtaining sexual excitement from stealing
  • Klismaphilia - erotic pleasure derived from enemas
  • Necrophilia - sexual arousal and/or activity with a corpse
  • Partialism - A fetish in which a person is sexually attracted to a specific body part exclusive of the person
  • Pedophilia - Sexual activity with a prepubescent child (generally age 13 years or younger). The individual with pedophilia must be age 16 years or older and at least 5 years older than the child. For individuals in late adolescence with pedophilia, no precise age difference is specified, and clinical judgment must be used; both the sexual maturity of the child and the age difference must be taken into account; the adult may be sexually attracted to opposite sex, same sex, or prefer either
  • Prostitution - the act or practice of offering sexual stimulation or intercourse for money
  • Sexual Masochism - obtaining sexual gratification by being subjected to pain or humiliation
  • Sexual Sadism - the intentional infliction of pain or humiliation on another person in order to achieve sexual excitement
  • Telephone Scatalogia - sexual arousal associated with making or receiving obscene phone calls
  • Toucherism - characterized by a strong desire to touch the breast or genitals of an unknown woman without her consent; often occurs in conjunction with other paraphilia
  • Transgenderism - an umbrella term referring to and/or covering transvestitism, drag queen/king, and transsexualism
  • Transsexual - a person whose gender identity is different from his or her anatomical gender
  • Transvestite - a person who is sexually stimulated or gratified by wearing the clothes of the other gender
  • Transvestic Fetishism - intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving cross-dressing
  • Urophilia - sexual arousal associated with urine
  • Voyeurism - obtaining sexual arousal by observing people without their consent when they are undressed or engaged in sexual activity

Hate crimes legislation added to military appropriations bill

Devious. If it's held up, then the Dems can say the opposition was against adequate defense, or against gays. If it's worthy of consideration, why sneak it into an unrelated bill? Why does the politically correct definition of "hate" only cover certain groups? I think we know. Politics and power. Did it look like love when the Chicago teen was beaten to death with a railroad tie? Most blacks are killed and assaulted by blacks; most Mexicans by Mexicans; most Chinese by Chinese; most gays by gays; and most women--by men. Assault and murder are always crimes of the mind.
There is no excuse for violence. It is intolerable in all its forms and for all its reasons. Hate and bigotry are personal perceptions that are bred by ignorance and intolerance but they are not combated by somehow claiming that the murder of one person because you hate their religion, orientation, gender, color, accent or maybe even their politics, is any less heinous than the murder of another person for any other reason. Why should someone who kills a homosexual because of their orientation be punished with any less severity than someone who kills a homosexual for their money? Why should the killer of a married mother of two receive a softer sentence because someone killed her for her car, than someone who killed her because she was a lesbian?
Square pegs into round holes

What's more hateful than killing a born-alive child intended for the abortion slop bucket? But our own President who has promised to sign off on this hate legislation, believes that sort of hate is justified.

Hate Crime bill is hateful

"The hate crime bill that passed the U.S. House of Representatives April 29 is an attempt by democratic socialists and progressives to silence dissent against alternative lifestyles. Their incessant iconoclastic attacks on once established values and morality have nearly eroded this nation’s spiritual and cultural legacy. Instituting same-sex marriage and prosecuting hate speech will complete the process and shatter the remaining hopes for cultural regeneration and tear down the last vestiges of the country’s Judeo-Christian ethic.

In America’s brave new post-modern multiculture, homosexual and transgender people will become a federally-protected class under the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, HR-1913. Under this act, anyone who publicly opposes the practice of homosexuality or any of the 30 other sexual orientations as designated by the American Psychiatric Association (APA) could be charged with expressing “hateful words” and convicted of a “hate crime.” Continue reading here.

I didn't even know we had 30 forms of sex we shouldn't speak of disrespectfully, although I had read about that amputee thing, and strangulation (sometimes they die getting a high and it's passed off as a suicide), but here they are. Among those sexual orientations being protected by S.909 (and HR1913) are these:
Apotemnophilia - sexual arousal associated with the stump(s) of an Amputee
Asphyxophilia - sexual gratification derived from activities that involve oxygen deprivation through hanging, strangulation, or other means
Autogynephilia - the sexual arousal of a man by his own perception of himself as a woman or dressed as a woman

And all you Methodists and Catholics thought it was about playing nice together and getting cozy in the privacy of your bedroom. Ha. It's a great time to be a liberal, isn't it?
