Race hustler in Boston needs a reality check

That bald race hustler squad member is calling a Walgreen closing in a high crime and vandalism area of Boston, racism. Well, why not. They say that about everything. Didn't AOC chase out a Walmart with jobs in her district claiming something similar? There is a cure for their ignorance. Let them work for a week in such a neighborhood, without their own government paid security, either stocking shelves, unloading trucks, riding the bus to work and walking a few blocks or standing at the pay cubicle, so they can fear for their lives. Let them shop in the neighborhood and be victims of muggings and theft. Let them look at the profit/loss statements and face the investors fleeing to other stocks.

 
The Democrats might consider dropping their party's push for defunding police and turning criminals back out on the street when they've committed mayhem. Democrats are not tough on crime, but sure can run their mouths while coddling criminals.

Do we need the federal Department of Education?

From time to time, I read that some conservatives want to dump the federal Department of Education because of the poor performance of our public schools. But before moving on that, one should take a look at the National Center for Education Statistics, an arm of that department. https://nces.ed.gov/programs/coe? And "take a look" is the right phrase because it is a very confusing maze of tables, charts, graphs, essays, compilations, and mismatched years. The latest date of the report is 2023, which actually is for 2021, and various sections within the report contain the latest data for 2016.

I won't get into the weeds, but will note the report's priorities. The second item in the report after demographics (make up of families, race, enrollment) is crime. Not math or science or even attendance. The drop out rate is buried elsewhere--that's the one that uses 2016 data. Do we need drop out data that is 7 years old to hold schools accountable?

The crime rate is more up to date than drop out; it uses 2020-21 data, and the stats are a bit confusing because many students weren't on campus during the pandemic. That said, crime on school campuses had significantly dropped since 2000. So the definition changed by adding in cyber bullying and sexual assaults, moving the statistics back up. Also, school shootings statistics weren't too useful since it includes incidents AT school and AWAY from school. In the tiniest footnotes possible, I read that school shootings include all incidents that guns are brandished or fired on school property or a bullet hits school property for any reason, even if the number hit was zero. It can be any time of day or week or reason, even domestic violence or gangs. All the information on crime in schools in this federal report comes from a private database created by one private citizen, the K-12 School Shooting Database.
Also, the racialists are losing ground in this report. Hispanic (a term coined in 1980 by an HHS employee) enrollment is almost double that of Black in school enrollment, and yet because so many Hispanics are white by anyone's eyeball guess, the activists stirring up trouble about Jim Crow 2.0 will increasingly have to dig up micro-aggressions to vilify whiteness.

The report does include salary information: Annual base salary of full-time public school teachers (10 months) is $66,000--it's $69,000 in latest BLS statistics. Remember, that's base salary, for 10 months.

And one more thing. Abraham Lincoln had one year of public schooling yet became one of the most famous public speakers in the country, and then became the most famous, eloquent and successful president of all time.

California's recent killings can't be used by Schiff and Pelosi for politics

In the hours immediately following the Boulder, Colorado, shooting on March 22, 2021, at a supermarket a story had begun to develop that the shooter was a typical gun-loving white supremacist. It’s the narrative that’s all too common, and often perpetrated by Democrats in power. But the shooter Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa is a Muslim. The story went quiet very quickly and Facebook took down his account, which revealed a violent past, even back to high school. I just looked at the court record and as of January 23, he hasn't had a trial or sentence. He has an additional 43 felonies. Just a few days before that incident, Biden and other Democrats were suggesting that a hate crime against Asians in Atlanta could be blamed on President Trump’s “words.” It wasn’t a hate crime against Asians, it was a very young man Robert Aaron Long with a sex addiction and 3 of his victims were white. The truth never stops a Democrats’ urge to lie and there was no apology for the "misinformation." When the Colorado Club Q (LGBTQ club) shooter/killer, Anderson Lee Aldrich, claimed to be non-binary, the reporters just had to fumble, but he/she/they was still charged with a hate crime.

This past Sunday, January 22, there was a shooting at a nightclub killing 11 Asians.  Both Senator Chuck Schumer and Rep. Adam Schiff began denouncing Asian hate crimes and bigotry, and the Twitter trolls took up the call. This before there was any arrest or investigation. Wisconsin state Rep. Francesca Hong, sharing her condolences for the victims, tweeted: "We are broken as a nation to have mass shootings and white supremacy reign terror." It's possible it was a personal grudge and the shooter, an elderly Asian man, Huu Can Tran, later committed suicide. That was followed within days by another Asian shooter, Chunli Zhao, in a workplace killing in Half Moon Bay, an agricultural community in California.

But also in California on January 16, 2023, six people including a ten-month-old baby were killed in a house in Goshen, California, by alleged cartel gang members. Now that one is hard to track down and got little attention by Reps. Schiff or Pelosi—wrong shooter and wrong victims> It seems they can't make political charges with it. I hope you watch this video--I didn't see that the Democrats jumped on this, perhaps because the Sheriff condemned the soft on crime California governor (a Democrat) and Biden's open border policy. Brutal killing of California family a 'clear message' from the cartel, sheriff warns: 'They were targeted' | Fox News "When you slaughter, when you shoot a 16-year-old mother in the head and a 10-month-old child in the head, that is a very clear message to everyone that this was a cartel-style shooting, execution, and these types of things with our unsecure open border, with our soft on crime approach here in California, this is the result of some of that failed policy," (Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux). CNN account of the massacre didn't include the sheriff's remarks.

Move over Detroit

"King James" takes down his tweet about Columbus girl

LeBron James put up a tweet suggesting that the Columbus officer who saved 2 black girls from being stabbed should be taken out--posted his photo. Then when the video of the crime scene proved him an idiot, he took it down with this excuse.

  

Washington Post reported the 2019 stats. 9 unarmed blacks were killed by police; 19 unarmed whites were killed by police. You only know about the blacks because the media are making money off their deaths. Ghouls. Considering that the crime rate for young black men is 6x higher than for white men, which group is more often killed? There are millions of encounters (61.5 million, more with whites than blacks) between police and citizens/non-citizens in a year. Traffic stops and domestic violence calls probably put their lives in danger every day. Being killed by police rarely happens to either white, black or Hispanics unless they are avoiding arrest, and they aren't under suspicion for a crime unless someone has contacted the police. Someone had called police about the 16 year old attacking people with a knife. LeBron needs to stick to bouncing and throwing balls for a living because he wouldn't last a week on the police force. If he really wants accountability, read the crime reports.

LeBron James has a gazillion dollars, but won't criticize China which actually has slaves, but he will demonize his own country. He'd probably loose his "franchise" if he had to tell the truth about race in America. I can't believe he calls himself "King James." 2019 crime statistics were decreasing

Before the current staged riots which have increased crime rates for 2020 in major cities, crime was decreasing. (Nine police have been shot in St. Louis since the death of George Floyd)  That must have made some CEOs of victim groups like BLM and ANTIFA very uncomfortable. It made Trump look good. Here's what happened in 2019--fewer women were assaulted and the cities were safer than 2018:

The rate of violent crime excluding simple assault declined 15% from 2018 to 2019, from 8.6 to 7.3 victimizations per 1,000 persons age 12 or older.

Among females, the rate of violent victimization excluding simple assault fell 27% from 2018 to 2019.

There were 880,000 fewer victims of serious crimes (generally felonies) in 2019 than in 2018, a 19% drop.

From 2018 to 2019, 29% fewer black persons and 22% fewer white persons were victims of serious crimes.

The rate of violent victimization in urban areas—based on the NCVS's new classifications of urban, suburban, and rural areas—declined 20% from 2018 to 2019.

Because black lives matter

So the angry protesters/rioters have moved on from the myth of "systemic racism" to "defund the police." And liberal whites are helping endanger the black neighborhoods in misplaced guilt. Even those who stayed home in the comfort of their privileged man-caves, are cheering the rioters on. Oh so brave, those white liberals. The limp, weak blue boy-mayor of Minneapolis had to leave the protest in disgrace because he would NOT agree to defund the Minneapolis police, ONE of which killed a suspect who had become unreasonable (autopsy showed drugs) while trying to pass a counterfeit bill.

Let's see how that works:

• No police when a woman is assaulted or raped.
• No police when homes and apartments are broken into and granny's TV and cell phone are stolen in a sweep for a few dollars for drugs.
• No police to investigate the child pornography ring preying on the most vulnerable.
• No police to call when mom's purse is snatched while she's looking at the fruit display at the Korean market.
• No police to stop the speeders going 90 mph near your child's school.
• No police to rush into a bombed building to carry our survivors.
• No police to keep the neighborhood businesses and grocery stores safe and accessible.
• No police to call when your sister is patiently waiting in line at the bank and some goons rush in claiming her rights don't matter, only theirs.
• No police to direct traffic and walk the perimeter of the sports or music venue so the privileged masses can pay $160 to see their favorite black athlete or entertainer.
• No police to help rush that pregnant mom to the hospital, but who end up delivering the baby near the exit ramp.
• No police leagues to provide a healthy outlet for fatherless boys and girls through competitive sports.

Most violent crimes are committed by whites (by the numbers there are more of them) and in confrontations with police they are killed or put out of business at a higher rate (their crime rate is lower) than black criminals. But let's just unleash them and call it “black lives matter.”

Listening to people call the Mike Gallagher show to talk about what's open during this Covid19 crisis in their town. One from Virginia called to complain that during this time of protest and pandemic his governor (Mr. blackface) is addressing removing statues. Another from North Carolina (a Democrat) reports gathering for protests is encouraged and winked at, but the Republican convention which would have brought millions to the state coffers, is cancelled. Another (I think he was from California) complained that only 10 people are allowed at a private party and social distancing must be maintained, but 100 are allowed at a protest, and no social distancing. Now tell me folks, what part of this whole mess isn't political?

Grieving for a man who was killed in a terrible way during an arrest is understandable; allowing the nation to be destroyed based on a myth of police brutality is an evil, ugly plot to destroy the lives and living of millions. In 2019, 9 black men died at the hands of police during a confrontation. 19 white men died during a confrontation with police. Most were in the act of committing a crime. This information is from the Washington Post data base and is real, deep digging research investigating all the circumstances. So who blows it up? Our news media and social media.

39 black men had fatal confrontations with police in 2015 and 9 in 2019. We are a nation of 330, 000,000. Even for Obama's era, that's a tiny, tiny percentage of millions of confrontations with police.  However the drop is significant under Trump.

I guess too many people were quoting it to bust the myth that unarmed black men are at terrible risk.

Academe is so far left, it's amazing anything but the party line ever got in to print. The hurdle would be funding, probably figured it was an easy thing to prove--systemic racism and police brutality. Then the next hurdle, finding a publisher--all the journals are also liberal with gate keepers who can shut the door. Then to get a group of people to do a peer review--that must have been a challenge once the results of the study were known. Of course, purchasing it had already been done. PNAS is on subscription and librarians (also gate keepers) probably couldn't reject it. I fully expect that after their clarification and apology, and after they've been run out of town, tarred and feathered, their careers have been ruined and the offending volume will be removed from library shelves.

Violent Crime statistics—no agreement, but not difficult to find

Violent crime. All the data show violent crime went down after the early 90s--by about half. (Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act, 1994) There isn't any agreement on why. Was it Clinton's Crime Bill or the aging of baby boomer males, or the incarceration of so many young black men? Gun control in Seattle

"Last Wednesday night, right around rush hour, gunfire erupted on a busy Seattle street near a bus stop with numerous commuters and pedestrians nearby. One person was killed and seven were wounded, including a 9-year-old boy. This wasn’t the typical gang fight that erupted deep in a bad neighborhood; it placed numerous commuters in the crossfire. The three suspects among them had nearly 70 priors. Yes, it was illegal for them to have guns. The very people who want gun control are the ones who think that a system that already fails to confine violent gun felons and gangsters is too punitive.

Transgender woman is actually a man, plus he’s a crook

I was reading a front page article in yesterday's WSJ about the woman hacker of Capital One who attempted to destroy the security and income (and lives) of 100 million people, when on p. 6 I noticed her photo. "That's not a woman," I said to myself.  A male friend of mine (my assistant for several years) had the same facial features when he began taking hormones.  So by paragraph 11 there was one reference to his many personal and psychological problems casually noting, transgender. Why keep it so secretive? Putting on make up and women's clothing doesn't make him a woman, and it won't correct his mental problems.

Some people see Wall St. Journal as a "conservative" news source. It isn't. I don't know where it stands now, but in the past on news coverage, it was the most liberal of all daily newspapers. (topic, verbs, adjectives, idioms, slant, "expert" sources, etc.) Only the opinion page and editorial columns lean conservative. Burying the news is very common in liberal journalism. They couldn't possibly link this man's very troubled past, his sexuality and his crime without getting a huge uproar from the genderists.

The first thing you notice in this report (and the older ones which I looked at) is that there is a wealth of information on victims; almost nothing on the offenders. Since most violent crimes are committed by younger males within their own ethnic/racial group, we can only guess at the offender, but it's close.

In California for 2015

28.3% of the victims are black, who are 5.7% of the population for a rate of 23.5.

43.1% of the victims are Hispanic who are 39% of the population for a rate of 5.3.

21.2% of the victims are white, who are 38.5% of the population for a rate of 2.6.

Don’t be manipulated by the media

Since the Omnibus Crime Bill was passed in 1994, violent crime has dropped drastically. In New York City in 1990 there were 2,262 murders; in 2015 there were 352. Nationwide, there were over 1.5 million firearm non-fatalities in 1993 compared to about 478,000 in 2011. Researchers argue about the reasons—conservatives tend to site better policing and stiffer sentencing removing serious criminals from neighborhood, and liberals are all over the map with everything from abortions in the 70s and 80s eliminating potential killers to stronger safety net for the poor to better reporting and aging baby boomers who do less crime. Because of the bias in research based on political and religious views, it’s difficult to tease out the details, but one thing is for certain, the media distorts reports of violent crime. It can sell more papers, or get more TV revenue or encourage more clicks on line for profit if it involves a black man being killed by a white man, and particularly if police are involved.

Most violent crime is intra-racial. You hear more about black on black crime primarily because there is so much more of it, but homicides of white men also are usually committed by a white men. Homicides of women of any race are more likely to be by an “intimate partner,” or someone they know. Homicides of pregnant women is rarely reported and only marginally researched, but it's out there.

You could easily miss that black women are much more likely to be victims of violent crime than white women—more so than white men--a type of black on black crime that goes unreported and doesn’t cause riots. Overall, black women are murdered at a rate more than three times higher than white women.  The media play up crimes against white women (especially young and pretty) because it sells. The victimization rate for white females was 1.6 per 100,000 persons in 2013. This compares to rates per 100,000 persons of 4.4 for black females, 4.0 for white males and 32.3 for black males.

Who benefits from the race riots?

As I noted earlier, statistically, both in number and rate, more whites in the commission of a crime are killed by police than blacks. Whites also kill each other--about 84% is white on white because most crime is intraracial, gays kill each other, too, and many who kill know the victim. Only women and children don't fit that mold. When children are murdered, it's most likely one of the parents or her boyfriend, and a gun isn't used. In central Ohio right now we have a grisly serial murderer of women (again), a white man with white victims, unfolding and they're just finding the bodies. But it doesn't seem to make the national news, cause riots, or stick to the news cycle.

Why is that? Money and power.

Racialists, politicians, and media outlets can't make money or get votes by stirring anger over a mother suffocating her baby, or a white man kidnapping and killing white women. No one breaks windows and steals Air Jordans over a child killed by its parents. Racist alarmists and poverty pimps like Dyson, Jackson, Sharpton, Black Lives Matter and hundreds of academics on the government grant teat would have to cut back on their extravagant life style if riots like Charlotte, Dallas, Ferguson and Tulsa didn't happen.

Trump is now THE candidate--no agreement on speech

Washington Post was offering readers paragraphs about Mrs. Trump's speech long after it was old news, not mentioning when Obama, an actual candidate in 2008 touted for being such a wonderful speaker, used Deval Patrick's "Just Words" speech (quoting many Americans) or Biden's challenge with borrowing a good line or three. From the Trump campaign's point of view, I suppose all was good if it keeps his name up front. Free publicity.

More misinformation on TV tonight

We're still hearing twisted statistics about cops killing blacks. (Just watched the Ferguson story on CBS.) People want any unfortunate killings to reflect percent of population, but black males between the ages of 14 and 17 commit homicide at 10x the rate of white and Hispanic youths. Obviously, they will encounter police more often as the police protect people.

In New York City blacks are 23% of the population but commit 75% of all shootings, 70% of all robberies and 66% of all violent crime. Whites are 33% of the population but commit fewer than 2% of all shootings, 4% of all robberies and 5% of all violent crime. This means when police are called out on a gun run, the chances are they will encounter black men looking for trouble. 

The anti-cop campaign of the last 2 years puts police in danger and also the people they are supposed to protect. Crime fell dramatically the last 20 years, now it's creeping back up as the number of police killed in shootings doubled in 2016. The chance of a police officer being killed by a black is 18.5x higher than the chance of an unarmed black getting killed by a cop. I often hear that Republicans are racists because they don't like Obama. Or Republicans hate the poor.

Well, let's take them at their word if that is their gauge of morality.

• Is racism worse than killing millions of black babies with the blessings of the Democrat party? More in 4 days of abortion than 80 years of lynching, which was also a Democratic party scheme. 
• Is racism worse than letting black children flounder in failing public schools because the Democrats in the local and state government are afraid of the teachers union?
•  Is racism worse than letting many millions of black and brown third world children die of malaria because you caved to environmentalists on DDT? Would you want your children under bed nets?
•  Is racism worse than the blacks who will be robbed or murdered when you undo the 1993 crime bill and start going soft on black crime because you think the poverty pimps can turn out the vote for you?

And the poor?

• How ethical and moral is it for you to pretend you care about illegal immigrants, when they are taking jobs from low income Americans? Or overstaying their visas and taking jobs from college graduates in the tech fields? 
• Or that you say IRCA failed, when you never enforced it either for business or illegals crossing the boarder and now we have 30-40 million counting their children born here.
•  How ethical is it for you to prop up the all white Mexican government which depends on those ethnic workers to send cash home for the 2nd highest source of income in a very resource rich country? 
•  And the way you fight good jobs in the fuel industry and take them from coal miners so you can feed on fear about climate should really make you feel morally superior. 

There are worse things than what you've called Republicans.
