Academe encourages spying which bleeds over into general society

“Hundreds of universities nationwide now maintain Orwellian systems that ask students to report—often anonymously—their neighbors, friends, and professors for any instances of supposed biased speech and expression.” Many college students believe “hate speech” isn’t covered under the First Amendment.  And it is, but hate speech in my opinion has come to mean anything a Democrat/Socialist doesn’t agree with, like one’s views on traditional marriage, pro-life, secure borders, baking a cake,  climate change, or voter ID. “Fifty-one percent of college students think they have a right to shout down a speaker with whom they disagree. Nineteen percent of students think that it’s acceptable to use violence to prevent a speaker from speaking.
