We must be sure to keep the same families and um...good old boys connected to our federal government since they've um...done so well by us.
you guys are ths same ones that complain that women aren't getting a fair shake in the media,etc. and look what you do to her...oh,let us all climb on...God forbid we have a little class in the senate... let's just keep electing 85 yr old corrupt senators who think they need more money. I doubt she'd ever be up on charges..really, I just don't understand this bias at all..good grief,if I am willing to give Sarah a fair shake... then I'd sure like to see the same...and Sarah,can not touch the hem of Carolines' skirt..just your old friends opinion...now you can jump all over me for not agreeing with you...once again...and so it goes..and it will ever go...Happy New Year!Lynne
Hey, calm down. I think if she wants to run she should. She is absolutely as qualified as Uncle Ted. Or run for appointment--whatever it's called. Men have done it for years. So what if she rarely votes, or donates, or speaks well; neither have probably 90% of the men who run/ get appointment. She can't do any worse than others in Congress.
The bias is coming from Democrats, not Republicans, who have no say in this. She meets all the qualifications required by the state. She's just no match for Sarah, which makes all that hoopla and hollering of 2008 look pretty silly. What Democrat ever gave Palin a break or fair shake? The double standard is glaring.
From Hill Billy White Trash blog: "Sarah was almost strong enough as a VP candidate to drag John McCain across the finish line single handedly. She is a good communicator who has already captured the heart of the conservative base of the Republican party.
She is an authentic Reagan conservative who has a demonstrated ability to lead. As governor of Alaska she has all the executive experience she will need to prepare her for the office and she has the next four years to learn what she will need to know about foreign policy and military affairs.
She will also have four years to hone her response to a vicious press corps bent on her and her family's utter destruction."
She's no Sarah Palin...
Hmmm... given that, I might have to reconsider my reservations.
Please...Ms. Kennedy has as many credentials as any of the wives that have succeded husbands in their seats, people just think she has to be the reincarnation of her daddy. We need fresh voices and none politicos in Washington. Let her try it.
I think there should be strict term limits and that we should set limits on dollars spent on the campaingns. Spending millions upon millions for a job that pays a few 100k a years is crazy and leads to corruption
Murray sez;
"leads to corruption" ?? Listen up Hokule'a. Corruption is THE way of life in the federal government. Our politicians all know that including our white knight Obama. Why, it's the only way a politician can accomplish anything good or bad. Unfortunately, no one has come up with anything good lately and I don't expect it to change soon! Maybe it has something to do with recycling. I'll ask the Clintons next time I see them.
