"On Wednesday night, Candance Gingrich-Jones, the openly gay half-sister of GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, appeared on MSNBC's The Rachel Maddow Show and endorsed President Barack Obama."They do that hoping to defeat Republicans who might be supporters of Newt, who didn't reject a family member who was gay. That's how narrow they are and how little they know about Republicans, who love their gay relatives, some of whom are also Republicans. They've got one finger pointing out and three pointing toward themselves for hypocrisy, devisiveness, and fear mongering.

Going after Newt with the G-Word
Notice how liberals always bring up the scary G-word? And I don't mean God.

If you heard that interview, and I did, you would have heard Newt's sister say she would not be voting for or supporting Newt because of his position on gays. What kind of love is that when Newt is so blatantly and vocally anti-gay?? I've seen Cheney discuss his opinion and he is much kinder, softer and seems to love his gay daughter. Republicans may love their gays, but do they love my gays???
I didn't see the interview, only the reporting. So you read his heart, based on what his sister said? Do you suppose there could be anything else dividing them--like politics? It happens.
Do you mean this? “I believe that marriage is between a man and woman,” Gingrich said. “It has been for all of recorded history and I think this is a temporary aberration that will dissipate. I think that it is just fundamentally goes against everything we know.”
Where is the hate? Do you dispute that marriage has always been between a man and a woman? (Sometimes serially, as Newt has done it.)
You can disagree with him (not about history, but the present), but it doesn't make him anti-gay or hateful. Clinton came up with DADT; was he hateful?
IMO, I think Newt really ought not to lecture anyone, gay or straight, on marriage. And now that he's a Catholic (formerly a Baptist) he is probably in line with RC teaching. Is the Pope hateful? Your local priest? Is everyone hateful if they believe the Biblical view of marriage? Are you the only perfect one? And that would be based on . . . what?
