Worse than even I could have imagined

RE: OBAMACARE A comment posted on the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare FB page

"I actually made it through this morning at 8:00 AM. I have a preexisting condition (Type 1 Diabetes) and my income base was 45K-55K annually. I chose tier 2 "Silver Plan" and my monthly premiums came out to $597.00 with $13,988 yearly deductible!!! There is NO POSSIBLE way that I can afford this so I "opt-out" and chose to continue along with no insurance.

I received an email tonight at 5:00 P.M.... Informing me that my fine would be $4,037 and could be attached to my yearly income tax return.

Then you make it to the "REPERCUSSIONS PORTION" for "non-payment" of yearly fine.

First, your drivers license will be suspended until paid, and if you go 24 consecutive months with "Non-Payment" and you happen to be a home owner, you will have a federal tax lien placed on your home. You can agree to give your bank information so that they can easy "Automatically withdraw" your "penalties" weekly, bi-weekly or monthly! This by no means is "Free" or even "Affordable."

Really, folks, how does this help the low income/poor? Democrats:  Do you have an explanation for this travesty?

Norma,

Every line of this message that you picked up on the internet is false. This is a hoax, and you are perpetrating it.

- There is no Silver plan in any state with a $14,000 deductible.

- There is no "opt out" button on any exchange. You opt out by simply not buying insurance, not by clicking on anything online.

- There are no emails sent out setting forth any fines.

- There is no driver's license suspension or lien repercussion provision in the law.

You claim to be a Christian. Yet you post lies and false rumors on your blog. Gossip mongering is a sin and you have sinned openly and proudly. I will pray for you.

Goodness you're harsh. Much more than what you accuse me of. "Gossip mongering?" This was a comment on the Obamacare page, and I identified it that way. "A comment posted on the Affordable Care Act/Obamacare FB page"

There are a number of hoax sites claiming to be portals so perhaps the poster found one of those.

"More than 700 fake or misleading websites playing off of the new federal Healthcare.gov site and the word Obamacare have been created on the Internet by so-called cyber-squatters looking to steal personal information from individuals trying to get healthcare coverage." Newsmax

According to recent ABC reports:

“Obama administration officials admitted Monday that roughly 126,000 Americans who successfully navigated the Obamacare website and enrolled in a new health insurance plan might not have officially signed up for their plans.”

With such a bad law and a lying president, how are we supposed to know a hoax?

Yes, I tried to google Obamacare hoax and got a huge selection.

How do you find these people? They hate Christians and love Obama!

Perhaps the hoaxter was reading the RAND report. "Consumers who become newly insured on the individual market and make too much money to qualify for the ACA’s subsidies are expected to pay more ($7,202) in 2016 compared to if the law wasn’t in place ($5,368), according to the report… Consumers with incomes below 138% of poverty will spend a total of $2,005 in 2016, an increase of $559. Those making between 138% and 400% of poverty will spend $3,536, an increase of $1,567. - See more at: http://healthblog.ncpa.org/rand-most-people-will-pay-more-for-health-care-under-the-aca/#sthash.trUKuvNN.dpuf

The D.C. insurance exchange where thousands of Hill aides are shopping has confirmed that an outside scammer is redirecting customers to a fraudulent website.

I wouldn't have believed this either if it weren't printed on my Medicare bill. The gov't is not nice about what you owe.
"If you do not pay your Pt. A or Pt B premium, your Medicare insurance will be terminated. Even if your Medicare insurance end, you must still pay the TOTAL premium amount you own.. You can reapply for Medicare ONLY during the general enrollment period from Jan. to March each year. If you reapply, your coverage will start on July 1 of the year you reapply, and your payment amount may be higher because your coverage was interrupted." Keep in mind I paid up front for this for 40 years.
