"The Republican Party is experiencing an "identity crisis" and must "rethink" how it can compete in the future, the state party's deputy chairman said yesterday after watching Ohio complete its transition from "red" to "blue." "How about they try being Conservatives to compete? No one's doing that one.

I'm simply going to point out that whatever misogyny you saw in the Obama campaign is nothing compared to what is coming out of the McCain campaign now that the election is over. It's not surprising, given how much practice the Republicans have had over the last 16 years attacking Hillary. Funny how they all became pro-woman the minute Obama secured the nomination.
I agree RL. The attack on Palin is appalling. We're in trouble when you and I agree. But it isn't pro-woman, it's the worst of sexism I've ever seen (except for bashing Hillary by the Obamatrons). McCain was always the Democrats' candidate for the Republicans, not really our choice, but it's what we got. Like Hillary, he learned too late that the lackey press could turn on him too. Palin is a terrible threat to both the entrenched parties. McCain couldn't have carried a single state without her. American is much more threatened by a woman politician with charisma than a black politician with charisma.
