How did we get here?

So many people I know have given up. Their attitude is "Oh well, I'm not going to be here to see it." For some reason they think their pension and/or Social Security and annuities will still be here by the end of Obama's first term--perhaps enough to see them to the grave. Scary. While some of you were dancing in the streets and trashing the mall, some of us saw the lights going out all over the country--and not to save electricity. It was the dimming of a dream and hope for the future. Then I read
April 1, 2013 -Unemployment is approaching 25 percent, inflation is close to 40 percent, major portions of the U.S. are having power "brownouts," and Americans are forced to go to foreign countries for timely and quality medical care. How did the world's largest and most prosperous economy fall into such a morass in only a very few years?

Murray sez:
Sounds like Richard Rahn is on to something. Something real ugly! I would certainly believe in his scenario more so than Obama's predictions based on his current plan.
Have you noticed that everything is "his"? My Vice President, my plan , my treasury sec., etc.
That should tell us something if we would just read a little between the lines.

I think "his" VP is going try to be more visible and powerful than Chaney or Gore. On Jan. 20 I visited Whitehouse dot gov (before I learned they were planting cookies on the computers of visitors) and found the references to Biden just amazing. Virturally every sentence was "Obama and Biden." That man really wanted to be president--maybe moreso than Obama or Clinton combined. So instead of a bi-racial president we have 2-fer who is about 1/32 African, but 100% socialist/progressive/marxist.

We're here because McCain was your candidate.

I like the fact that we are blaming Obama for things that haven't even happened, while those who criticized Bush for things he was actually DOING were told to be more patriotic and shut up. Nice.

Anon 12:54: you mean the way Bush was given the credit for the blizzard in the mid west plains and the National Guard being in Iraq, but no one has yet blamed Obama for the ice storm that has paralyzed and frozen out several states south of here? Has CNN even shown up to look for pockets of minorities that might be cold after a week?

Don't expect the cable news to hang out for an ice storm. It messes with the global warming conspircy that was so popular with Katrina.
