A bribe is a bribe is a bribe

Naming the brother of "undecided" Jim Matheson of Utah to a judgeship is just a bribe, no matter his brother's qualifications and credentials. This one really stinks.

What a stunning revelation, Billy Kristol and The Weekly Standard accusing Democrats of doing something shady.

Let's face it, Obama is still a piker when it comes to offering up a bribe. We'll all know he's ready for the big league when he starts pardoning convicted criminal to keep them from talking. Something big time, like the Scooter Libby pardon/bribe.

A judgeship for life with an even bigger position down the road? Wow. You've got screwed up values on power and position.

Looks like it's all in the eye of the beholder. To some, bribing a guy who can drop a dime on the unsavory things your administration did to clam up. Ranks higher than a federal judgeship everytime.

"In a move that has keenly disappointed some of his strongest conservative allies, President Bush has decided not to pardon Vice President Dick Cheney's former chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, for his 2007 conviction in the CIA leak case, two White House officials said Monday." Newsweek Jan. 19, 2009. And then the lefties also went crazy speculating on why not and were even more disappointed than Republicans.

Maybe your buddy could use the sock/pants stuffing incident of the Clinton guy. He got off with a wrist slap.
