"OSU is conducting a clinical research study of an investigational oral medication for birth control. Qualified participants will receive at no cost for up to 12 months: periodic gynecological exams, investigational oral birth control medication. Females that are 18-40 years of age, sexually active, and have regular menstrual cycles may be eligible for participation. Compensation is available for time and travel."
I wonder if there is compensation for the abortion or live delivery if the medication doesn't work? Or the health problems if this turns out to be something not so great for the female body. Of course these days, even abortificants are called birth control.

There are far too many people on this planet. If there were more abortions fewer people would have to die from famine and war and disease. Call it an abortificant if you like, it is still a valid method of birth control. Especially when other less invasive methods are being put down by the right. Perhaps a few of those right-siders would like a few more adoptive children. All of the adoptees that I know personally are in democratic families.
You haven't discussed using poor and young women who are already making bad choices as lab rats.
The adoptees I know are all Republicans or Libertarians, including my own. I doubt that asking a bright intelligent college grad if she would prefer to have not been born because of circumstances of her birth mother is exactly a good poll.
An abortifacient is a substance that induces abortion. Abortifacients for animals that have mated undesirably are known as mismating shots.
Common abortifacients used in performing medical abortions include mifepristone, which is typically used in conjunction with misoprostol in a two-step approach.[1] There are also several herbal mixtures with abortifacient claims, though there are no available data on the efficacy of these plants in humans.[2]
When used in oral form it may be referred to as the abortion pill.
