Inaccurate, Costly, and Inefficient

New Pew Report is evidence that America’s voter registration system needs an upgrade
  • Approximately 24 million—one of
    every eight—voter registrations in the
United States are no longer valid or
    are significantly inaccurate.

  • More than 1.8 million deceased
    individuals are listed as voters.

  • Approximately 2.75 million people
have registrations in more than one
    state.

  • Researchers estimate at least
51 million eligible U.S. citizens are
unregistered, or more than 24 percent of
    the eligible population.

Murray sez:
Gee, I don't think any political party would ever take advantage of our messed up voter registration system. Would a photo I.D. help? Both parties apparently subscribe to this mess or it wouldn't be this way.
