Food stamps buying Thanksgiving dinner

What's wrong with this picture? The recession was over in June 2009 before a single Obama economic program went into effect. This is his failure, but he always points to someone, something else.

"Food stamps. Hit hard by the 2008 financial collapse, more Americans are using food stamps to help buy the basics this Thanksgiving than ever before. Average participation has increased 70 percent since 2007, with costs reaching $72 billion, according the Congressional Budget Office." Sunlight Foundation, Nov. 27, 2013.

By your account that was a pretty short recession. We know that lots of people lost their jobs, their homes and their 401k accounts thanks to our friend George. And with all that loss it takes a lot longer than 5 and one half years to fix the mess. Especially with no help at all from the Rethugliucans!

I'm not the one who figures recessions, and yes, we all know how absurd it was in early 2010 to say it was over. But Nov. 2013? Yes, it's been over for some time, and like Obama, you continue to blame Bush for all the dumb things his Democrat Congress did after 2006, or even the ridiculous bank regulations that required they make loans to people who weren't qualified. What you're really saying is that even after 5 years, ARRA, funding green energy, losing more military in Afghanistan than Bush, that taking over the health care system and running up everyone's insurance bills, that making every attempt to destroy small business, the engine of the economy, weakling Obama who you voted for twice, can't turn this thing around and get people off food stamps?
