Scams via texting

Although my baby is in her 50s, today she warned me about a scam that might come up in a text. It will say it's from UPS and will include a link for me to click for delivery, but it will try to steal information or direct me to another website that is bad. Since I've been waiting for a few online orders, I'd be a good target. I'm new to this "smart" phone stuff. I'd never fall for that in my e-mail, but I'm a novice on the other scams.

 Many of the organizations backing the anti-inauguration events are "worker this or that," "globalist so and so" and "people unite for blah blah." Their names/titles are pretty clear. They only laid low because Obama was black, but they've been working over time behind the scenes for years. Communism under any name is still that, statism/socialism, the problem is today's young adults weren't even born when the USSR collapsed, and that's when American Communists took over the movement.

I wish the demonstrations and terrorist acts were just bad sport, toddler tantrums, but they aren't. These are goon level, 1917 Russia food riots, but no one demonstrating is poor, or suffering or losing in WWI. Marxism has that sort of energy--what it says it is about (racism, sexism, homophobia in 21st century Europe or America) it isn't, no matter the country or era. It's not workers' rights; it's not about larger apartments or better food. It's not about health.  It's all about power to the state and the leaders' skill to drag the little guy in.

 Speaking of being unfit to be President.... It was bad enough that this President has already released terrorists and planners of terrorism from Gitmo for purely political reasons, endangering innocents, while he is putting more American boots on the ground. Now, President Obama has jeopardized the lives of Americans by giving $400 million in untraceable cash to Iranian sponsors of terrorism. Worse, he is allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons while ...at the same time, they are acquiring and developing three stage rocket technology, creating a nuclear arms race in a region with loads of cash, surrogates of evil, a thriving black market and increasing radical extremism and very little respect for life.

It is unconscionable. The world is a far more dangerous place because of a President who defines being unfit for office.

Using the IRS to take Americans out of an election cycle for 2 1/2 years, arming drug cartels with weapons, lying to the American public, illegal amnesties, importing the unvetted, continuing imperial, unlawful and unconstitutional behavior, endangering troops abroad and citizens at home... One could make a pretty good case for impeachment if there were Republicans with the will to use their constitutional authority and Democrats with a little virtue and integrity, and the willingness to put country before their political party.

It seemed appropriate to resurrect this cartoon from January.

Smart Barbie knows how to stay out of debt

The smart Barbie knows that if she lives anywhere without income for four years and borrows for all her expenses she will have debt. If she lives at home, has a part time job, attends one of the convenient two year colleges like Columbus State for her requirements, then transfers to one of our fine universities like Ohio State University, she probably will be debt free and ready to accept a terrific job upon graduation. Even if college were "free," four years of housing, utilities, food, transportation, clothing, and entertainment wouldn't be.
