Let's FACE the double standard about demonstrations

The federal FACE Act prohibits “violent, threatening, damaging, and obstructive conduct intended to injure, intimidate, or interfere with the right to seek, obtain, or provide reproductive health services.” It was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in 1994.

 
So why are pro-Hamas terrorists allowed to do the same activities on college campuses, major hi-ways, and at the Democratic National Convention. That must be a dilemma for Democrats. Demonstrating in front of an abortion clinic can get you put in jail, but demonstrating that you hate Jews and want to destroy Israel is no big deal. 

So if you block an ambulance with a heart attack patient or block the entrance to the library it's OK in the USA as long as it's to "free Palestine." Just don't demonstrate you care about the lives of the unborn.

The problem is Iran

“Kiss the devil” was being sung

The band was seven songs into a sold-out concert  at the 19th-century Le Bataclan theater in Paris when its performance of “Kiss the Devil” was interrupted by gunfire. Band members escaped through a backstage exit, but their fans were picked off one by one.  On Saturday the band cancelled the remaining 20 dates on the European tour.  For many, the rest of their lives were cancelled.

Peaceful, moderate Muslims are not following the tenets of Islam.  Even violent Muslims think they are peaceful—Islam is dedicated to establishing the faith in the world, and is therefore peaceful, even if people have to be killed.  The “verse of the sword” makes all other verses null and void. Kill them when you see them, wherever you find them (Christians and Jews).

Abrogation  in the Koran means later verses counseling Holy War, such the Sword Verse abrogate earlier verses counseling tolerance and peace .  When Westerners quote the peaceful verses, they ignore that they have been replaced.

There is no assurance of heaven, unless one dies as a martyr during jihad. Islam does not forbid suicide—and they don’t see it that way since the intention is to kill others.

Jihad means struggle. There are 164 verses in the Koran and many in the Hadith on jihad

They know how to use our rights with full knowledge they will try to destroy those rights.

ISIS doesn’t just have a target on Pam Geller’s back

This will come as a shock to liberals and progressives, and even some conservatives who have criticized Geller, but ISIS doesn't just dislike conservatives who draw Mohammed, but they hate the liberals too for their belief in the first amendment (which includes religion). You know the one--allows them to ridicule and criticize Christians, stomp on the American flag and attend Michael Moore movies that insult our intelligence. Most of the people they've killed have been Muslim, but they're coming for you, too.

Pam Geller’s abuse of free speech

Still pro-life

I was listening to Mike Gallagher this morning (conservative talk show) and you would have thought not believing in the death penalty belongs only to the left.

I'm pro-life and consistent--no death penalty for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. The same reasons you hear for killing a fetus are used for him--cost, inconvenience, kinder in the long run, etc. Of course, babies aren't guilty of a crime, but at least we don't need to participate.

ISIS is killing children, using them as sex slaves, bombs

As reported in the New York Times: “Islamic State (aka ISIL, ISIS) is a breakaway al Qaeda group that declared an Islamic caliphate across parts of Syria and Iraq last summer. It has killed thousands and forced hundreds of thousands from their homes, in what the United Nations has called a reign of terror.

On Tuesday, the group, which is also known as ISIL, released a video showing a captured Jordanian pilot being burnt alive.

The U.N. body, which reviewed Iraq's record for the first time since 1998, denounced "the systematic killing of children belonging to religious and ethnic minorities by the so-called ISIL, including several cases of mass executions of boys, as well as reports of beheadings, crucifixions of children and burying children alive".

A large number of children have been killed or badly wounded during air strikes or shelling by Iraqi security forces, while others had died of "dehydration, starvation and heat", it said.

ISIL has committed "systematic sexual violence", including "the abduction and sexual enslavement of children", it said.

"Children of minorities have been captured in many places... sold in the market place with tags, price tags on them, they have been sold as slaves," Winter said, giving no details.

The 18 independent experts who worked on the report called on Iraqi authorities to take all necessary measures to "rescue children" under the control of Islamic State and to prosecute perpetrators of crimes.”

Mission Accomplished. . . oops

“As he precipitously pulled out all U.S. peacekeepers from Iraq, the president had his own “Mission Accomplished” moment when declaring the country “stable,” “self-reliant,” and an “extraordinary achievement.” “ VDH

But Obama showed himself to be a weak and confused leader after the war was essentially over and won by the time he took office in January 2009 with nothing left to do but stabilize the victories.  His supporters didn’t seem to notice, but the terrorists certainly took note.  Now that ISIS has overrun the region, he is looking around for someone to blame.  Bush and the Republicans, of course.

The Cool Whip President

He's being called the "cool whip President." He referred to the Bergdahl swap as "a whipped up controversy." Really, Mr. President?  It’s just a golf cliché?  "What difference does it make?" retorted Harry Reid, echoing Hillary Clinton on Benghazi. What a low opinion they have of Americans and our military and families who have lost family members. As Jonathan Turley said, "He's the president Richard Nixon always wanted to be."

Michael Murphrey was killed September 5 by an IED at the Forward Operating Base, Sharana.

Moreover, other operations were put on hold while the search for Bergdahl was made a top priority, according to officers who served in Afghanistan in that time. Manpower and assets -- such as scarce surveillance drones and helicopters -- were redirected to the hunt. The lack of assets is one reason the closure of a dangerous combat outpost, COP Keating, was delayed. Eight soldiers were killed at COP Keating before it was ultimately closed."

The Massachusetts gun laws

The Brothers Tsarnaev had an awful lot of fire power. Were they properly registered and licensed with fingerprinting and criminal background checks as their state required regardless of how and where the guns were acquired? And were their magazines limited to ten rounds as required by Massachusetts law? Or were they just two more criminals who ignore gun laws?

The most recent foiled plot in New York City included a man whose parents are Palestinian, and "Carlos Eduardo Almonte, a naturalized American who came from the Dominican Republic and converted to Islam, highlights another trend among terrorist conspirators that analysts are beginning to study: the disproportionate number, not only of converts to Islam, but converts of Hispanic origin."

New York may be a target, but it's also a breeding ground.

Finally, some transparency!

At last Obama is being absolutely clear and transparent in this move of the trial of 9/11 perps to New York where they can enjoy all the rights and benefits of citizens.

Attorney General Eric Holder made official Friday morning what was reported by the media for hours beforehand, the Obama Administration's intention to bring the alleged 9/11 conspirators who've been held at Guantanamo for years to trial in New York. . . Holder said five defendants would be tried in New York. Besides KSM, they were Walid Muhammad Salih Mubarak bin 'Attash, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali and Mustafa Ahmed al-Hawsawi. Mohammed and the four others are accused of orchestrating the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people on Sept. 11, 2001.

They've already had a trial and pled guilty. There's no doubt of their guilt--we all know and they know and are proud of what they did. So why would Obama do this?

That's where it's so transparent. This allows terrorists a global stage to bring their case to the world--a way for Obama to again tell the world what a terrible, awful, yucky country we are--they are probably getting bored with his monotonous presentations, so here's his opportunity to pass the baton to some jihadists. Also, it allows him to put George W. Bush on trial. See? Has there ever been a move more transparent than this one?

Have you noticed? He doesn't even try to hide what he's doing anymore. It's so pathetic. His poll numbers are in free fall, but it doesn't matter.

New Yorkers don't want this; 9/11 families don't want this; sensible, safety minded Americans in the rest of the country don't want this. They know it's wrong, that it violates all our laws and common sense. It doesn't matter. Obama has taken control.

We're probably the only country in the world whose Congress and President cheer wildly a bill which would put its citizens in jail for not buying health insurance, and then turn around and give away our most treasured rights and military intelligence to committed, non-citizen terrorists who want to destroy us.

Where's the splashy headlines about this killing?

On A6 of the Columbus Dispatch I read about the murder of a Michigan man--an abortion protester. The killer, according to the news account, didn't like the activist holding a sign with graphic images of a fetus in front of students. So he shot the guy in front of the students--I suppose in his twisted mind, that wouldn't disturb them. The killer then went to a business and shot another man, and was on his way to kill a third, when he was shot by the police. Apparently he wasn't a minority, because there was no mention of an investigation of the police killing an armed and dangerous man. But also, the press and the president haven't taken much notice. Remember back in May?

"The killing of abortion doctor George Tiller, who was fatally shot in his Kansas church Sunday morning, drew a flood of denunciations from President Obama along with liberal and conservative lawmakers and abortion rights groups and abortion foes. The murder occupied front pages and led news broadcasts for nearly three days."

At the same time an army recruiter William Long was killed and Quinton Ezeagwula wounded by a Muslim terrorist (homegrown) but Obama, the men's Commander in Chief, didn't even blink. Attorney General Eric Holder called for protection of abortion clinics, but ignored the killing of a U.S. soldier and ignores the attacks against U.S. military facilities since 9/11.

Some lives, matter, some don't. Abortionists and terrorists get a pass during this administration.

Well, at least one of the paragraphs described the gruesome details of late term abortions. There possibly are people who are unaware of the brutality of the procedures. Why Tiller's "preferred" method was considered good for the mother, I have no idea. I suspect it was just easier for him. His method wasn't to stab the baby in the skull and then dismember it after it was dead (Obama is the only elected politician who has said that's O.K. to my knowledge). *SCOTUS upheld the ban on late term abortion procedure known as "partial-birth abortion." Tiller preferred a lethal injection into the baby--sort like the death penalty they use for condemned murderers who've gone through years of appeals and which bring out the crowds for candle light vigils. After the injection which kills the baby the mother goes back to her motel room to wait to go into labor, and in a few days returns to the clinic for the still birth. If this was an agonizing decision, as the proponents claim, even though Down Syndrome or a heart condition or a tumor aren't fatal diseases for either mother or child, it has to be a terribly uncomfortable wait, knowing you will give birth to a dead baby, especially if initially the pregnancy was a source of joy. Do you go sit by the pool? Read a novel? Watch reality TV? And since Tiller performed abortions at a clinic and not a hospital, I don't know what he did if there were complications like hemorrhaging.

The decision enforces the law that prohibits the procedure of partially extracting a fetus 20 weeks or older intact from a woman's uterus and then crushing or cutting its skull before it is fully delivered.

"This is the most significant upholding of any restriction on abortion ever by the Supreme Court," said Stephen Wermiel, who teaches constitutional law at American University." FoxNews, April 18, 2007

If this was a "victory" for Bush, it's right up there with him freeing millions of women from the Taliban in Afghanistan.

Will they be allowed to use the T-word?

Update: The WSJ apparently didn't get Obama's memo and used the T word at least 3 times.

Update 2 (May 29): AP reports they've got 39 suspects--described as militants, fighters and extremists. Obviously, they got the T-word memo.

No torture necessary for Ol' Joe to blab secrets

Some in the media are saying no big deal. Probably the same who screamed bloody murder on the Valerie Plame blame game, when everyone already knew who she was. But for Biden to reveal the secret hiding place for the second in command. Well, that's almost as scary as contemplating the third in command, the liar, liar pants-on-fire, Pelosi. Even the most die hard conservative needs to pray for Obama's continued good health.
