New sources of information on the Internet

When I find a new website for information, I browse a few articles for bias (verbs and adjectives), then if that's acceptable and they haven't insulted my intelligence, race, or religion, I look at the "about us" section. Usually, the highest ranking editorial staff are youngish females, usually white. But if I work my way through ownership to the boards and corporate details, it's about 80% white male. Then trapped in the department of DIE, diversity inclusion and equity, there is a minority staffer, usually black, and usually female.

Today I was using Balance.com to read about debt and deficit in government budgets; I'd used it before--good articles. Then scanned a bit and found out it is owned by Dotdash.com. Did my usual personnel search. Yup.

Then I did a Wikipedia search on Dotdash and see it used to be About.com and at one time acquired the Chinese company Abang, with a similar make-up and somewhere in the mix was the New York Times (2005). Then I really got into the weeds with Barry Diller who whose IAC (bought Dotdash 2017) recently acquired Meredith (120 year old media company from Des Moines--aka Better Homes and Gardens) 2 months ago. https://www.iac.com/press-releases/iacs-dotdash-announces-close-of-meredith-transaction? Whew. Diller created Fox Broadcasting and owns 150 media brands. He started his career in the mailroom.
My note to IAC investor comment: "I don’t know if I have any IAC investments, but now that I’ve examined your information, I do see you own something I hate—Daily Beast. It’s evil, Leftist, and angry. Now you’ve acquired Meredith. What a stretch. An icon in the history of American journal publishing dating the devil. Sigh."

The gatekeepers of wisdom and morality

Donald Trump and Mike Pence were elected to Make America Great Again in 2016. They were doing such a good job the DC quagmire got worried. Very worried.

Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Jack Dorsey, Jeff Zucker, Bill Gates (none of whom are black, brown, female or trans) and other not-so-famous heads at Vox, Daily Beast, NYT, LATimes and WaPo were not elected. Consumer dollars had voted them to rise to the top in their corporations which our capitalist economy had afforded them. They'd been allowed many tax breaks to become fabulously wealthy at our expense with the support of the swamp's tax laws.

Their gratitude for being allowed to set up shop in a free country was to go from publishing nasty opinion pieces to shadow banning to outright blocking and deplatforming the President when their efforts to collude with Democrats to remove him from office didn't succeed. Gone are the days when they lauded "free speech." Now they are lusting for more power.

They released an army of "fact checkers" so we can't question the 2020 election after they screwed the country over about the 2016 for four years. We can't publish or distribute books about the climate change hoax, transgenderism, the threat of the CCP and conservative principles, but they can go on forever about hate crimes. They control the narrative about Covid and January 6, stifling all the rights Americans have come to expect and respect. They tell you which words you can use to describe a disease. They cover for the Biden Crime Family deals with Ukraine and China,

We are their prisoners, they our gatekeepers.

What exactly is Daily Beast saying about President Obama?

I got a notice from The Daily Beast on Facebook that someone had "liked" something I said in 2014, so I clicked over to look. The background photo for The Beast was an artsy-fartsy collage comprised of 1) Gay flag, 2) Occupy mask (Guy Fawkes), 3) marijuana plants, very lush, 4) Communist soldiers of N. Korea, 5) President Obama, 6) a distant galaxy, and 7) can't really tell, but a guy with a stick looking into the night sky? What is the Beast telling us about the state of our country? You too can be rich, criticizing America?

The Daily Beast is a far left, on-line news source, formerly owned by Tina Brown and Newsweek, now owned by IAC/InterActiveCorp in case you don't look at it. It's become mega wealthy criticizing capitalism and rich people.

Daily Beast writer blames “white culture” for the Charleston tragedy

One white man equals a national need to have a conversation on white culture, but when a black man kills, it's poverty or poor self esteem or lack of fathers or a failing school system? Why do the deaths of blacks only matter when the killer is white? Write about Chicago and Baltimore's crime rates going up under this administration's blaming everyone but the perpetrator. This is simply ridiculous. In 1963 I was blamed for JFK's death and I'm not speaking for the nation or all white women, but I am very, very tired of these smears. Charleston has shown the whole country how to come together in the face of tragedy, and I just hope they can keep the Holders and Sharptons out of town. And the writers for the Beast. The author of this piece primarily wanted to talk about his own experience--he's very close to Obama's making his speech about himself instead of the victims. I suppose I could generalize about 2 black guys who think everything is about them, but I won’t.

Twaddle followed up with drivel here: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/06/19/we-need-to-talk-about-white-culture.html?
