“If bad actors get their hands on your personally identifiable information (PII), they can use it to swindle, impersonate, or even endanger you on the internet—and in the real world. One of the prime places to find PII is on Google, and while Google can’t stop that info from appearing on other websites, you can try to remove PII from the search giant’s results." PC magazine explains it.

Google's loss my gain?
"In a ruling aimed at restoring competition in the search engine market, U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta refrained from ordering Google to sell off Chrome, the world's most popular browser, but ordered the tech company to end exclusive deals that make Google the default search engine on phones and other devices." Facebook is following you
Meta injecting code into websites to track its users, research says | Meta | The Guardian
“Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram, has been rewriting websites its users visit, letting the company follow them across the web after they click links in its apps, according to new research from an ex-Google engineer. The two apps have been taking advantage of the fact that users who click on links are taken to webpages in an “in-app browser”, controlled by Facebook or Instagram, rather than sent to the user’s web browser of choice, such as Safari or Firefox. “The Instagram app injects their tracking code into every website shown, including when clicking on ads, enabling them [to] monitor all user interactions, like every button and link tapped, text selections, screenshots, as well as any form inputs, like passwords, addresses and credit card numbers,” says Felix Krause, a privacy researcher who founded an app development tool acquired by Google in 2017. In a statement, Meta said that injecting a tracking code obeyed users’ preferences on whether or not they allowed apps to follow them, and that it was only used to aggregate data before being applied for targeted advertising or measurement purposes for those users who opted out of such tracking…” It would be a good idea to read the whole article.Monday, April 25, 2022
Google Docs has become the latest speech enforcer
We've all seen language evolve, but some of the kinder, sweeter, more leftist inclusive stuff is just nonsense and gag-worthy. Google is now eliminating or suggesting alternates for "mother" or "lord" or "master" in some well-known idiomatic expressions. It reminds me of some of the ridiculous phrase twisting we lived through in the 80s and 90s, like "handicapped" or all the polite ways to say "mentally challenged" instead of "retarded." A whole generation of adolescents had to give up a favorite common insult. The word "challenged" has become a joke. I use it when I tell people I'm math challenged, or directionally challenged. (If I don't have my watch on my left wrist, don't give me directions.) So that has given us pregnant people and assigned sex at birth. Remember a few years back when someone who didn't have a good grasp of English thought "niggardly" was a reference to blacks? People are so incensed with "black face" (used mostly by Democrat entertainers and politicians like Jimmy Kimmel and Joy Behar) last week there was a black DJ at a high school dance accused of wearing black face--that's the live reenactment of being overly sensitive about words. I'm so old I remember when black was the insult and Negro was the correct term. I think even "senior citizen" is on the chopping block.

Robert Epstein talks with Joe Rogan about Big Tech
Anyway, on January 21 he was interviewed by Joe Rogan (he seemed to be everywhere in 2019 and 2020). https://jrelibrary.com/1768-dr-robert-epstein/ He's a Democrat, never voted for Trump, but knows the elections are manipulated. Interesting listening about who/what is controlling us. He recommends Brave.com as your browser to not leave a trace. Another article I read said he recommended Startpage.com (no tracking). I use Duck Duck Go, which Rogan prefers to Google because it doesn't push sites to the top so you don't look further.

The gatekeepers of wisdom and morality
Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Jack Dorsey, Jeff Zucker, Bill Gates (none of whom are black, brown, female or trans) and other not-so-famous heads at Vox, Daily Beast, NYT, LATimes and WaPo were not elected. Consumer dollars had voted them to rise to the top in their corporations which our capitalist economy had afforded them. They'd been allowed many tax breaks to become fabulously wealthy at our expense with the support of the swamp's tax laws.
Their gratitude for being allowed to set up shop in a free country was to go from publishing nasty opinion pieces to shadow banning to outright blocking and deplatforming the President when their efforts to collude with Democrats to remove him from office didn't succeed. Gone are the days when they lauded "free speech." Now they are lusting for more power.
They released an army of "fact checkers" so we can't question the 2020 election after they screwed the country over about the 2016 for four years. We can't publish or distribute books about the climate change hoax, transgenderism, the threat of the CCP and conservative principles, but they can go on forever about hate crimes. They control the narrative about Covid and January 6, stifling all the rights Americans have come to expect and respect. They tell you which words you can use to describe a disease. They cover for the Biden Crime Family deals with Ukraine and China,
We are their prisoners, they our gatekeepers.

On race, racism, class and opportunity
For the life of me, I can't figure out why the people with all the power are trying to convince us that it's a 40-somethingTrump lover with no investments, not on welfare, riding a motor cycle or driving truck, with a flag sewn to his leather jacket who watches OANN who is the problem. Makes no sense, but then as Tucker has pointed out, the 21st century social and economic revolution is from the top down. The hyper-educated, moneyed elites are oppressing the little guy demanding he give up his first and second amendment rights so they can have more power! So they can feel morally superior while they trash everyone who doesn't agree with them.

Purveyors of evil--Big Tech
"If we’re going to be objective about it, we’ve got to give the Mark Zuckerbergs, Jeff Bezoses and Jack Dorseys of the world their due — the apps they’ve created are some of the greatest technological marvels in history.
It’s too bad that the purveyors of the technologies Apple,
Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Amazon have on offer are such profoundly myopic,
evil bastards. And the events of the past week make it pretty clear that these
companies are literally out to get conservative America. By extension, they’re
really out to get America itself, because anyone tyrannical and dastardly
enough to wish to ruin people financially and to destroy their power to speak
over simple political or philosophical disagreements isn’t just a political
partisan. Anybody who would do what these people did to Parler for the sin of
providing a platform for conservatives to talk among each other after being
persecuted by other social platforms clearly doesn’t have respect for the
ideals that founded the country and bind it together still."

News of the incoming rulers
Get ready to open your wallets for the new regime. "On Thursday night President-elect Joe Biden will describe some of his plans for multitrillion-dollar spending increases. Before long he’ll also tell us about his tax increases. And they aren’t going to be small. A new report from the Tax Foundation says the Biden plan would impose the industrialized world’s highest income tax rate on business. Research from around the world says that wouldn’t be kind to workers, either." (WSJ Best of the Web, Jan. 14, 2021)
This should drive businesses to other countries, stifle growth, and puff up the salaries of government bureaucrats.
Google has bought Fitbit. . . and all our data. The funniest sentence in their announcement is: "we will maintain strong data privacy and security protections, giving you control of your data and staying transparent about what we collect and why. "
Sooooo. . . . I think we understand CONTROL. We have none.
Kristen Clarke, Biden's choice for Civil Rights, thinks blacks are superior in every way to whites and Asians. And it's not just culture, they are born superior. That should work well with our Civil Rights laws.
Joe Biden has selected 14 executives from Big Tech, the crowd that doesn't believe in the basic American values of free speech. Even a month ago he'd already added to his team Zaid Zaid, a former special assistant to the president and associate White House counsel under the Obama Administration and current team member at FACEBOOK'S public policy, Strategic Response, who will serve on the review teams for the Department of State and International Development, FACEBOOK'S manager of governance & strategic initiatives Christopher Upperman, who will serve on the Small Business Administration and FACEBOOK'S director & associate general counsel of strategic response Rachel Lieber, who will serve on the review team for the Intelligence Community.
So just to review, he's packing Department of State, SBA and government intelligence with FACEBOOK loyalists. What could possibly go wrong? FB already has data on millions and millions of Americans and foreigners.

How Big Tech manipulates our voting behavior
Robert Epstein is not some right wing kook. In fact, he’s a Democrat, who voted for Hillary Clinton, but a computer expert. He studies Google. Google has about 3 million pages of information about you (if you use g-mail, Chrome, Google). “Go vote” reminders from Google went only to liberals--that's voter manipulation. Epstein began his investigation around 2012 of search results on Google. He figured you could manipulate vote decisions on Google by about 2-3%, but when he did the research, it was win margin of 48%. He redid it and got 63%. And it’s invisible to people. Billions of people not knowing they’ve been manipulated. But it gets worse. Watch the video.

Because he is the leading expert in this field, he's been warned and has had death threats. He was warned about an auto accident. He didn't die in an accident, but his wife did.
Google employees manipulated views on the Trump travel bans. . . reengineered our thinking without us being aware. Epstein has testified before Congress that Google could shift 15 million votes without anyone knowing just with transitory messages that can't be traced. Bing and Yahoo did not display the same bias as Google. However, Yahoo gets its information from Google, and Bing has a contract with Google, and Windows 10 was built on Google’s surveillance model. How Google manipulates voters--Dr. Robert Epstein
In 2020 all Big Tech are going all out to Democrats and there will be no way to trace it. Dr. Robert Epstein was a strong Clinton supporter in 2016, but is concerned that Google, Facebook and Twitter are manipulating the voter on a massive scale. Silicon Valley millionaires control our elections. Alphabet (parent of Google) was Clinton's #1 financial supporter.
Between 2.6 million and 10.4 million votes were manipulated in 2016. No paper trail.

Google eyes and knows all
"Last month, the New York Times revealed how sensitive location data is harvested by third parties from our smartphones — often with weak or nonexistent consent provisions. A Motherboard investigation in early January further demonstrated how cell companies sell our locations to stalkers and bounty hunters willing to pay the price. For some, the Google sibling’s [Sidewalk Labs] plans to gather and commodify real-time location data from millions of cellphones adds to these concerns." https://theintercept.com/2019/01/28/google-alphabet-sidewalk-labs-replica-cellphone-data/
"We are a counted people. Our locations, words, memories, shopping habits, entertainment preferences and political beliefs are translated into numbers, then stored, sold, and traded by governments and the data giants of Silicon Valley who make our technological age tick.. . phones record location; emails, calls, and texts are scanned for keywords that allow Google to develop personalized ads; Facebook existence can be run through algorithms that generalize political psychology into a marketable identity. . . The general desire to know how to get to a coffee shop has uncovered the daily lives of the citizenry more quickly and effectively than a million wiretaps." How do the search engines play out in recent news—the race to Fox
This morning I searched “Mulvaney chief of staff.” Several months ago I had switched my primary search engine to DuckDuckGo, which supposedly doesn’t tract your searches, so I used that first, then Bing, then Google. How long before the unbiased, balanced record from Fox News?
DuckDuckGo: AP, Washington Post, WBNS-TV (local channel), CBS, Guardian NYTimes, CBS (again) Time, NBC, DW.com (Deutsche Welle), Chicago Tribune, Breitbart, Business insider, Washington Post (again), NPR, Bloomberg, Free Beacon, CNBC, The Street, AOL, USA Today, WSJ, Fox News.
BING: Washington Post, USAToday, Business Insider, Politico, ABC7, ABCHouston, YouTube, CBS, NYTimes, CNN, Guardian Conservative TreeHouse, NBC, Time, Chicago Tribune, DW, Brietbart,Al Arabiya, CNBC, Business Insider, NPR, Bloomberg, Al Jazeera, The Street, WSJ, YouTube, CNBC, USAToday, ABCHouston, Al Arabiya (again), Powerline blog, Variety, YouTube (again) USAToday, Variety (again), USAToday (again), Politico, WTOP, Truthdig, Fox News.
Google: Daily Beast, NYTimes, Newsweek, CNN, NYTimes, Chicago Tribune, The Hill, WSJ, CBS, Vox, NBC, Fox News.
Obviously, Bing lost the race. In numbers, Google got there first, but put the Yellow Journalism web side Daily Beast full of trolls and haters first. Go figure! And it tracks your searches! The DuckDuckGo first with AP was another site using the AP story. It was my first time to come across DW, the German news source. Now then Bing—threw in Al Jazeera and a few blogs before it got to Fox News. Really?

How Google controls your information
90% of internet searches use Google, and 95% of searchers drop out after the second page. I began blogging in 2003 and remember when my blog entries came up within the first or second page. In the code, bloggers/web page designers put in tags that describe the most typical topics and your search picks up on that. With Google’s manipulation of search results that could never happen today. I’m a big believer in capitalism, and the founders of Google, one of which is a Russian immigrant, have done a good job for the investors in their company. That said, when successful companies get too cozy with the government, it’s called crony capitalism. That’s how legislators get rich and CEOs beat back the competition by getting what looks like stiff controls, but only they are wealthy enough to meet the standards. Any search that involves any information about the government or President Trump will bring up pages of New York Times, Washington Post (owned by another tech giant, Jeff Bezos, the wealthiest man in the country), Daily Beast, Huffington Post, and other far left media sources. This results in an informed public that has read/heard only part of the story. The conservatives then flee to other sources and also risk knowing only part of the information. When I log in, I automatically get Google News, which always leans left. Sometimes I do click on a story, especially if it’s none political, but then may just encourage the bias by taking the bait.
https://pjmedia.com/trending/google-search-results-show-pervasive-anti-trump-anti-conservative-bias/
If you search anything about Trump on Google you’ll probably get referred to CNN, which falls far behind Fox in popularity and viewership. And if you are in an airport, exercise facility, or doctor’s office, good luck seeing anything other than CNN.
As expected, NYT denies any bias with Google, and instead accuses Google of different biases. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/30/technology/bias-google-trump.html

Isn’t it odd that they don’t investigate the disinformation and slanderous opinion of other “bad actors” like Washington Post and New York Times or CNN and MSNBC, or even our own PACs?
And why just Russia? Do they think that Canada or Germany or Israel never try to influence Americans who get their news from social media? Are we to believe that the United States is never guilty of trying to influence the elections of our friends and enemies? Or American technology funded foundations push contraceptives and abortions on other cultures?
Are these ads worse than any of the stuff I'm seeing right now on my local TV as the election date comes close on school and drug issues in Ohio. How will those companies prevent people who just don't like Trump or conservatives from having those comments or tweets blocked by complaining? It happens.
Our own media gave President Trump billions of “free” publicity during the 2016 campaign—because they hated him, ridiculed him and told lies about him. Apparently, middle America and fly over country ignored them. I’m sure they can ignore Russia, too.
Note: because of the youth of the tech executives, be prepared for every sentence to have an uplift/uptalk/rising inflection as they testify.

Net neutrality, coupons and capitalism
Forty years ago when I was writing about the coupon scams, it was the same deal. The largest companies put out the most generous offers so they could block the newer products which couldn't afford that kind of advertising in the cut throat grocery business.. Customers fall for coupons every time--can't believe that companies don't exist to "save" you money. Voters are similar. Capitalism works when the big guy eats or stops the little guy. It's still better than government transfers, but you need to understand the game.

Search engines also skewed to support Hillary Clinton
"The study even goes so far as to claim that without the bias in search results, the oft-cited lead Mrs. Clinton enjoyed in the popular vote would have been nearly eradicated. “[I]n articles published in February 2016 and thereafter, the lead author of the PNAS study predicted that a pro-Clinton bias in Google’s search results would, over time, shift at least 2.6 million votes to Clinton. She won the popular vote in the November election by 2,864,974 votes. Without the pro-Clinton bias in Google’s search results, her win margin in the popular vote might have been negligible.”
So you see, it pays to have an honest or at least a diverse media, and we don't have that today. Even if you don't like Fox, or Breitbart or Town Hall, you should at least look at them. They may have the key sentence your liberal/left is leaving out. Then you can return to CNN or ABC and catch on to what they are doing.
