Why did so many women vote for Trump?

Although I haven't read it yet, First Things has an article "How Trump won over women voters."  How Trump Won Over Women Voters | Rachel Bovard | First Things I'll give my own opinion and read it later--usually you can read that excellent religion and culture journal free for one or two times.

My take. Although highly paid and over-educated women as a group do lean to the left and are easily led because they are too busy with career and kids to carefully research the issues of the day, most women care about their budget, their children's education, their neighborhood, the safety of their families and community, and they love being women. They may love men, but don't want to compete with them for restroom facilities or athletic scholarships. Also, they don't like wimpy, childish men. Really.

That would sum up a Trump voter, or at least a voter who realized Harris didn't align with their values no matter who was running against her. Women voters knew, because Harris said so, that she was the last person in the room when Joe signed off on the Afghanistan bug out, when he showed the world how weak and feckless he was throwing us into 2 wars with no vote from Congress, and how she went along with the country lock down mandates, how the churches closed without a whimper from fear, and how children were unnecessarily forced to get the jab or be locked out of their schools and athletic events. Women voters saw other women being cancelled for speaking out or deciding not to run for school board or city council out of fear of retaliation. Women voters saw their own grocery bills and housing costs soar while illegals were being housed and fed in hotels. https://nypost.com/.../nyc-now-using-14-hotels-to-house.../
"In the real world, where the vast majority of American women actually live, this shift was inevitable. Most American women are turning to the right because the elite left has turned against most American women.
According to exit polls, women voters’ top concerns in 2024 were the economy and “threats to our democracy.” By contrast, Democrats’ top campaign messages were “abortion-on-demand” and “Orange Man Bad.”
Maybe their marching song instead of "I am woman hear me roar" (1972) became "I am woman respect my body and my vote" (2024).

Honestly, Bari?

Today I turned off one of my favorite podcasts, "Honestly" with Bari Weiss. She was "cancelled" (aka fired) by NYT and started a very successful news service, "The Free Press." She began her analysis of the Trump sweep and comeback by stating, not opining, that Trump was the most flawed candidate in our history, and said it again in slightly different terms before she got to her first guest, a trans woman, Brianna Wu.

In the introduction Bari stated, in my opinion, many errors about the 2020 election. She didn't even use the journalistic weasel words like "allegedly" or "it is said." And then she reminded the audience, with no doubt in her voice, about the completely phony impeachments, the lawfare cases brought by Soros funded goons, and the dreamed up sexual assaults.

Then Brianna, one of the 3 guests, begins listing his fears about attacks on Trans people that Republicans funded in their pro-Trump ads. Whoa! The only ads I saw were about the sexual mutilation of children, cross sex hormones for adolescents and men in women's locker rooms. If Brianna who is an adult wants to pretend to be a woman that's his business, but he should at least have the concerns that women have. Women are safer in a Trump presidency.

So, I switched to Will Cain's podcast. He was interviewing a Jewish Lebanese Canadian immigrant, Dr. Gad Saad, who is thrilled that Trump is president and has his own evaluation of the Trump victory, who is at fault and how it will affect Canadian and U.S. citizens.

Remarkable similarities in the four candidates

Have you ever thought about how much the 4 candidates actually do have in common?

Vance's wife, Usha, and Kamala Harris are daughters of Indian immigrants who were well educated California academics. Say what you will about class and race in America, but Asian Indians are near the top in education, income and entrepreneurship. (Vivek Ramaswamy and Nikki Haley were also candidates and also ethnically Indian.) As an immigrant group they have an advantage since most have a college degree and English as a 2nd language when they immigrate.

And Donald Trump's mother and wives Ivana and Melania were immigrants (Czech and Slovenian).

Vance and Obama were both raised by their grandparents (Obama technically isn't running, but that's not true in reality).

Vance and Walz have strong rural backgrounds, Vance with his heart home in rural Kentucky, and Walz in several rural communities in Nebraska and working on a farm as a teen.

For all they say about the importance of family values (and all candidates say that), fathers don't seem to be on the scene much. Walz's father died when he was young, Vance's father was completely out of the picture and his Papaw was his male influence, Harris's parents were divorced, and other than her father being a Marxist professor, we don't know much about him. Trumps' father is mentioned as a real estate mogul, but I don't see evidence that it was a warm relationship.

Both Vance and Walz have experience in the military and attribute much of their success and leadership skills to that.

Both Trump and Harris, children of privilege, attended private schools--Trump's was a military school and Harris' was in Montreal, Canada.

In stories and rumors of sexual escapades, Trump and Harris match up well.

Can you think of other similarities?

Trump, Haitians and Springfield, Ohio

Why do the Democrats create rumors and lies about Haitians? Try this story from Newsweek and Tampa Free Press.

"In 2020, the last full year of the Trump administration,1,207 Haitians were apprehended at the U.S. southern border. Contrast that to the first eight months of 2021 under the Biden administration, when 47,255 Haitians were apprehended. These numbers are staggering and they're getting worse.

Presently, more than 211,000 Haitians have been approved for the Biden administration's Process for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans parole program (CHNV) and have been granted work permits. And under certain legal statuses, the CHNV program allows an immigrant who is already in the U.S. to potentially sponsor another immigrant." (Newsweek, Sept 13, 2024)

According to the Tampa Free Press the DHS is flying them to 50 airports so they are spread over every state. DHS documents say, "All individuals paroled into the United States are, by definition, inadmissible, including those paroled under the CHNV Processes." Florida, Texas, and Georgia are the top spots--Harris needs to turn them blue to create a one-party system so she can destroy the Constitution.

Yours is now a border town. Yours is now a sanctuary city. Your schools and hospitals need ESL teachers, translators and service providers who can speak French, Creole and Spanish. White men need not apply. Open your wallets America, Harris wants your money, your vote and your guns.

Thank you, President Trump, for calling attention to this travesty and taking abuse for the Biden/Harris administration's mishandling and their mistreatment of foreign-born labor trafficking and sex trafficking.

Routh and the Haitians and the Media

The Haitians in Springfield, which the Left media want to make the story of the century, and the would be assassin, Ryan Routh, which is the real story they want to ignore, gets stranger and stranger. The assassin seems to have been traveling all over the world, although on paper he's a pauper, meeting with nefarious characters making deals for which he had no authority (or did he?). He was recruiting for Ukraine, while being on Homeland Security's radar since June 2023 as scary and looney tunes. But they didn't investigate! Then we find out yesterday the so-called bomb threats to stir up hatred for Trump and Vance in Springfield, Ohio (spread worldwide by our loyal, fearless American patsies in the press) were phoned in from a foreign country. Go figure. It's almost like a plan.

ABC and others--all Democrat all the time

As I wait for daylight to walk outside, I'm listening to ABC blurting misinformation in the kitchen about Sunday's post-assassination attempt (only non-cable TV in the house). I can't even . . . and to think this is what Americans hear as "news." Most of our news channels should be declared appendages of the Democrat party and claimed as a donation in the party's tax reports. Particularly the Harris campaign. Just to be sure they've nailed down their bias, they even threw in what Donald Trump said about Taylor Swift. They don't even mention the hundreds of times the left has called him Hitler and threat to democracy.

Hollywood likes Trump's polices, but they are queasy about character

I was listening to an interview of Hollywood actor Michael Rapaport. He said he thought Trump's language was rough and divisive, but he had to be bleeped at least 4 times, and he was being interviewed by Sage Steel (female, former sports announcer for ESPN). Supposedly he is a "convert" from Hollywood leftism, but that's not the first time I've heard leftists decry Trump's divisiveness and language. They forget what he's been called by the other side--with no proof. They forget that Democrats lied and created legal cases against him that would have never been brought against another American. Because Trump tells the truth about crime surging, inflation, wide open borders, George Soros and the prosecutors paid by the Democrats, the Biden/Harris regime and the bug out in Afghanistan, they somehow think that is name calling. I'm good with words and I don't like cussing or swearing, or the F-word used as a noun, verb, adjective and exclamation, (which I haven't heard Trump use but Megyn Kelly does) but calling someone Sleepy Joe Biden or putting the wrong accent on Kamala's name, or deliberately mispronouncing Gov. Newsom's name hardly adds up to "threat to democracy," or "deplorables," or "bitter clingers." When I do a search, I get a Microsoft news aggregator, and the stories are 90% anti-Trump. Even the photos are ugly. It collects the weirdest conspiracies you can imagine about Trump. And he says mean tweets and silly nick names? Give me a break!

*                                                      *                                         *

Mark Alexander wrote in early 2017: "“The day Trump arrived in DC, he dropped a bomb on the Beltway status quo in Congress and its special interests. He dropped a bomb on the regulatory behemoths and their bureaucratic bottlenecks. He dropped a bomb on the trade and national security institutions and alliances that failed miserably over the previous eight years. And he dropped a bomb on all the pundits and mainstream media outlets.”

And that tells you the depth of hate and fear from Democrats and some Republicans and the source of Trump Derangement Syndrome. It's a war and they are fighting back--they want him destroyed. And a growing number suspect that might include assassination. It's why they call him a threat to democracy--because it's all they've ever known--special interests, regulatory agencies, red tape and bottlenecks, failed trade and security alliances, and a biased, one party media.

The crime scene was swept clean--July 13

The only police detective experience I've had is watching 8 years (plus re-runs) of the Closer. And even I knew this wasn't right.

"A SWAT counter-sniper who was working the Pennsylvania rally where former President Donald Trump was nearly assassinated last month agreed with Republican lawmakers Monday that an “odd” pattern of evidence-handling had occurred following the deadly shooting.

Washington Regional SWAT counter-sniper Ben Shaffer said it was “absolutely” concerning that the roof of the AGR International building had been quickly scrubbed and gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks’ body disposed of before an official autopsy report could be released."

This trial will go down in infamy--Judge Juan Merchan

There was little doubt President DonaldTrump would be convicted, and for no other reason than looking at the behavior and politics of JUDGE JUAN MERCHAN. He was a partisan hack. Merchan has gag ordered Trump, but not me.

I've always believed this conviction would be overturned on appeal since it was so obvious even with my limited "Law and Order" TV knowledge. Now I'm not so sure. If the Democrats are this evil, they might just win at the next level, and then pack SCOTUS.
  • What are the chances that Merchan would be assigned to two Trump trials if selection is random? One in a million? 500,000,000? He was handpicked.
  • Merchan had donated to Biden's campaign, and his daughter is a Democrat party fund raiser benefitting from this trial.
  • Merchan demanded gag orders which were illegal and unconstitutional, and fined Trump. No one understands the gag order.
  • Merchan allowed irrelevant and salacious testimony that had no relevance to the trial and were intended to embarrass Trump and sway the TV audience.
  • Merchan on the other hand disallowed testimony that would have helped the jurors understand federal election law and campaign finance law, a very complicated specialty that even the other lawyers involved don't know.
  • Merchan cleared out the court room when Michael Cohen's former attorney was exonerating Trump but allowed the prosecution to bring in Stormy Daniels to talk about whether or not Trump used a condom.
  • Merchan reprimanded key defense witness Robert Costello about "proper decorum" although he allowed Daniels to give great detail. Then when Costello wasn't impressed and glared at him, Merchan cleared the court room.
  • Merchan gave the jury 54 pages of instructions on how to decide. I've been on a jury (once) and can't imagine trying to wade through that. I saw no information on what the crime was Trump was supposed to have committed with the NDA.  People v. DJT Jury Instructions and Charges FINAL 5-23-24.pdf (nycourts.gov) .
  • Merchan had the jury out for many days before final deliberation. No seclusion. Very irregular.
  • Merchan set sentencing for July 11. Republican convention is July 15. It's still election interference.

Batya Ungar-Sargon talked to the people

Yesterday I listened to an interview of Batya Ungar-Sargon who went out into America and actually talked to working people about what they believe about immigration, abortion, the economy, education, etc. What a concept! She's published a book "Second class: How the elites betrayed America's working men and women." I'd be surprised if one would vote for Biden because Democrats haven't been the party of the working class for decades. Their pollsters also lie to you every night on the news about the working class beliefs. If they don't answer the questions as the elites want, then the check mark is racist/ homophobic/ xenophobic etc. And Americans DO want those jobs that the elites wouldn't do. Dem economists are such snobs and have a low opinion of the people who allow them to live well that they skew the results of polls. Batya works for Newsweek.

Honestly with Bari Weiss: How the Working Class Became America’s Second Class on Apple Podcasts

"Bari Weiss: My guest today, Newsweek opinion editor Batya Ungar-Sargon, has been on a journey for the past eight years to understand how Trump won the White House in 2016 and how the left fundamentally misunderstood the American working class. She eventually came to the conclusion that the most salient feature of American life is not our political divide. It’s “the class divide that separates the college-educated from the working class.”

Democrats have historically been the party of the working class. But for the better part of the past decade, Democrats have seen their support among working-class voters tumble. Policy wonks and demographic experts kept saying just wait: the future of the Democratic party is a multiethnic, multiracial, working-class coalition. But that didn’t pan out.

Instead, in 2016, Trump carried 54 percent of voters with family incomes of $30,000 to $50,000; 44 percent of voters with family incomes under $50,000; and nearly 40 percent of union workers voted for Trump—the highest for a Republican presidential candidate since Ronald Reagan in 1984. Meanwhile, in 2022, Democrats had a 15-point deficit among working-class voters but a 14-point advantage among college-educated voters.

In order to understand how and why this happened, Batya decided to spend the last year traveling the country talking to working-class Americans. Who are they? Do they still have a fair shot at the American dream? What do they think about their chances to secure the hallmarks of a middle-class life?

She collected these stories in her new book: Second Class: How the Elites Betrayed America’s Working Men and Women. What she found is that for many of them, the American dream felt dead.

Today, Batya discusses who really represents the working class; why she thinks America has broken its contract with the working class; how we reinstate our commitment to them; and what will happen in 2024 if we don’t.

Letitia, another DEI hire, campaigned to get Trump

The latest non-crime and ridiculous "award" of nearly half a million (paid out to whom since there was no victim and no crime?) for "civil fraud" against Trump brings back to memory how our federal government created a housing/mortgage free fall in 2007-2008 and sent our entire nation into a recession by over valuing homes and getting inadequately funded suckers to fall for the trap. The government backed mortgage agencies have been over evaluating the real estate market for decades. We were helping our son buy a home at that time, and the ridiculous financing of that era was unbelievable--so we went the standard route with a solid down payment. Just call me Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac. The only crime was that of AG Letitia, another DEI hire, vowing in her campaign to get Trump. She used Trump to get elected. She called him "illegitimate" meaning she publicly campaigned on not believing in the results of the 2016 election. Isn't that illegal? Republicans are call Nazis for believing the 2020 election was a fraud. No one else would have ever been charged with what the government has done for decades.

In 2008 I wrote a poem about the fed chair and the Secretary of the Treasury.

"I’ve got the low down, trillion dollar, Ben and Henry Blues"
by Norma Bruce ©

Woke up this morning ‘bout five fifteen,
Read my big ol Bible and a new magazine,
Jumped in the van, turning on the key
Let me tell you mama, there’s no stopping me.

Driving on to Main Street, stopping at the light
Heading for the coffee shop the other side of night,
Singing with the radio, changing stations now
Got the dog and pony show, candidates take a bow.

(refrain) Mitigating factors, oozing out the wazoo,
Sell ‘em or hold ‘em, it’s all a rescue.
I’ve got the low down, trillion dollar
Ben and Henry blues.

Warm bakery bread and yeasty brown rolls
Congress still propping up the C-E-Os
Espresso coffee chai and tea
The government ya know--that’s just you and me.

NINJA loans for aliens, flipping for the rich,
From coastal homes, to buildings in the sticks,
McBama to Fannie to Goldman Sachs
They’re pointing fingers and covering tracks.

(refrain) Mitigating factors, oozing out the wazoo,
Sell ‘em or hold ‘em, it’s all a rescue.
I’ve got the low down, trillion dollar
Ben and Henry blues.

Episode 3 for Tucker, and Fox fumes

Tucker Carlson released his 3rd episode and "claimed that comments Trump made during a 2016 Republican primary debate marked the exact point at which "permanent Washington" determined to throw Trump in prison. Carlson featured video footage of Trump saying the U.S. should never have been in Iraq, that America had "destabilized the Middle East," that the claims made about weapons of mass destruction had been a lie, "and they knew there were none."

Carlson said that Trump's statements regarding weapons of mass destruction being a lie "sealed his fate."

Carlson said that Mike Pence, Nikki Haley, Mike Pompeo, and Sen. Lindsey Graham had described Trump as a "visionary genius up until the moment he lost power." Carlson said "then they unsheathed their real agenda — as always the neocon war agenda. And they piled on with maximum force." (from Mike Huckabee newsletter)

The CNN vs. Trump Town Hall

I didn't watch the CNN "debate" between Trump and Kaitlyn Collins, the "nasty person" (he called her) Wednesday night, but I've heard clips, and with Michael Graham I'd say, "Donald Trump won the first debate of the 2024 presidential cycle, and it wasn’t even close."

Of course, for me, the number one issue is abortion. Trump said it.  He got it done.  For 50 years the Pro-Life movement had struggled, but he got the Court appointees that got it done.  Because he knows, "They want abortion at 9 months, 8 months, 7 months--they even want abortion after birth. THEY are the RADICALS." [paraphrase because the coverage by media is so screwed up I can't find the exact quote, although I've heard it on Jason Whitlock's podcast--https://www.iheart.com/podcast/175-fearless-with-jason-whitlo-83738276/episode/ep-443-donald-trump-crushes-114934651/].

Like it or not, Trump has defined the evil of the bed rock mission of the Democrat party. He might have convinced a few women on the margin who have believed the lie about a clump of cells.  Wake up, ladies, it's also killing late term and after birth babies (read the new* proposed legislation for New York, it's clear) unwanted for whatever reason.

*lines 19-21 of NY proposed amendment to the state constitution  "access to medical care, including gender affirming health  care, contraceptive or other birth control measures, abortion or other reproductive care, and reproductive outcomes, including live birth, stillbirth, miscarriage or any other pregnancy outcomes.  https://legislation.nysenate.gov/pdf/bills/2023/A6664#

The great disinformation hoax, how the government-created “war against disinformation” became the great moral crusade of its time

A Guide to Understanding the Hoax of the Century - Tablet Magazine  by Jacob Siegal.

The hoax is "disinformation."  In short, the smoke and mirrors attack against Donald Trump.  For the life of me I can't figure out what the bureaucracy in the federal government were so afraid of.  One minute he's Hitler, then Stalin, then Putin.  When they could find no evidence of anything, they just used the idea of "disinformation." In my opinion [and it seems the author's], the disinformation hoax and techniques were used against us again with the Covid lies and lockdowns. But originally, and maybe for author Siegal, it begins in late December 2016 with Obama and his Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act. The Alvin Bragg crime in New York is just the latest edition of the hoax.

"A false story algorithmically amplified by Twitter and disseminated by the media—it’s no coincidence that this perfectly describes the “bullshit” spread on Twitter about Russian influence operations: In 2017, it was [Clint] Watts who came up with the idea for the Hamilton 68 dashboard and helped spearhead the initiative."

If you don't want to read it, here's the author explaining it. https://youtu.be/eOEoNswz_Lg

The real tragedy is the result: our society has been destroyed by this disinformation hoax all designed by the federal government and its cohorts in social and traditional media. You really can't trust any source or authority, and it has made friend and family foes.

What is Ultra-MAGA?

The Trump slogan, Make America Great Again, has always been disturbing for Democrats.  I think it was the disgraced governor of New York that said, America was never great, or was that his disgraced brother?

Democrats want to Make America Weak Again, MAWA, and they've succeeded very quickly. Failure in Afghanistan withdrawal has really hurt the women, but the leftist media don't really want to discuss that.  Apparently only American women deserve to go to high school and college; only American women should be free to show their faces (although lots of Democrats are happy for women to cover up with masks that do nothing but interfere with breathing). Putin wouldn't have invade Ukraine if Biden hadn't shut down the U.S. ability to supply Europe with energy.  Do you really think a Trump Justice Department would be ignoring the flagrant violation of the rights of SCOTUS to not be harassed and intimidated--which is against the law?  Would Trump have been cheering the destruction of the unborn, especially blacks?

The recently departed (for MSM) Jen Psaki tried to pretend that Biden's Ultra-MAGA remarks were of Joe's own making, but now Washington Post reports that a Democrat focus group/marketers actually came up with that ridiculous statement which actually means make America even more great! Republicans are having great fun with it. https://news.yahoo.com/biden-used-term-ultra-maga-221015104.html

Smile by Chris Botkin guest blogger

In 1960, Walt Disney produced a movie starring English newcomer Hayley Mills in the title role as "Pollyanna." Not having been groomed, I was too young (7) for crushes one way or the other, but I liked her and the movie and I remember watching it multiple times. Pollyanna was just a young girl and of course no one listened to her, but she was unfailingly cheerful and optimistic about even the most hopeless things, and by the end of the movie she had brightened the lives of everyone around her to the point it almost presaged the porn definition of "happy ending." The message was clear even to prepubescent seven-year-olds: always look on the bright side, hope for the best, things are not as bad as they seem.

The sixties being what they were, that attitude came to be mocked mercilessly, and "Pollyannaism" became a cognoscenti pejorative for unrealistically positive expectations in all walks of life. "OK, Pollyanna" was the "OK, Boomer" of its day. Being tagged as overtly optimistic was the debate closer, your opinion does not matter, you are not listening to "reason."

Well, call me Pollyanna.

I remember Trump finding Obama's missing magic wand, adding 400% more jobs in his first two years than Obama had added in his last two years. I remember deregulation, low inflation, high employment, border control, a more conciliatory China, NATO countries increasing their military budgets, the Abraham Accords and an embassy in Jerusalem. I remember escaping the Paris Accords, cancelling the Iran Deal, ending NAFTA. I remember ISIS mysteriously... disappearing. The caliphate met its unlamented fate, without so much as an obit in the press.

With the possible exception of NAFTA, these were all significant successes, IMO, and I remember them. Do you? Do you remember Pollyanna?

Because, in my Pollyannaism, it sure looks like the Democrats are setting the pins up for a resounding Republican 300 game in the next few years. The pinheads are primed to be bowled over.

The higher the peak of their peak woke lunacy, the greater their fall when the smackdown comes. And whether it is Trump again, or some other Republican, we know the smackdown is coming hard. We have the magic wand. We have seen it done. And it will resemble the fall of the Roman Reich less than Dresden times Nagasaki when it comes.

The left has spent all its political capital. Now, it's on life support with literally borrowed money. Their only way in any direction is to double down on failing programs and lie harder, building the tower of babble higher and higher brick by teetering brick.

I look ahead in my Pollyanna future, and I see the gobsmacking improvement over our country today. I see the Democrat rank and file seeing the gobsmacking improvement over our country today. And I see us all coming together to dance on the grave of the Democrat Party.

But then, I've been an optimist since I was seven.

Biden's fossil fuel follly

Trump had us oil independent, and now Biden . . . well, you know what he's been doing with the Leftist anti-fossil fuel folk.

"OPEC and its allies, including Russia, believe oil markets do not need more oil than they plan to release in the coming months, despite U.S. pressure to add supplies to check an oil price rise, four sources told Reuters."

OPEC+ Sees No Need to Meet US Call for More (oedigital.com)

"Major U.S. oil industry groups on Monday sued the Biden administration for halting drilling auctions on federal lands and waters this year, arguing the government is required by law to hold regular sales." (Offshore Engineer)

Oil Industry Groups Sue Biden Administration over (oedigital.com)
