ABC and others--all Democrat all the time

As I wait for daylight to walk outside, I'm listening to ABC blurting misinformation in the kitchen about Sunday's post-assassination attempt (only non-cable TV in the house). I can't even . . . and to think this is what Americans hear as "news." Most of our news channels should be declared appendages of the Democrat party and claimed as a donation in the party's tax reports. Particularly the Harris campaign. Just to be sure they've nailed down their bias, they even threw in what Donald Trump said about Taylor Swift. They don't even mention the hundreds of times the left has called him Hitler and threat to democracy.

Harris lied, Trump won the debate

Of course, when Trump said it, our dear MSM said he was a liar. But it's out there. Remember, she said (as a message to her leftist base) my values have not changed.

"KFile, an investigative outfit at CNN, unearthed a document this week that provides several alarming insights into what the Democratic candidate might actually believe in, including taxpayer-funded sex changes for illegal aliens and federal prisoners, eliminating the Hyde Amendment, statehood for Washington, D.C., decriminalizing crack cocaine for personal use, and cutting Immigration and Customs Enforcement funding.

These revelations, contained within an American Civil Liberties Union questionnaire completed in 2019 by then-Sen. Kamala Harris (Calif.), have renewed concerns about the Democrat's radicalism and even managed to surprise CNN's Erin Burnett. " (The Blaze, Sept 10)

And ACLU has a Harris compilation--a roadmap--which it thinks will further its policies, yet warns about Project 2025 by Heritage Conservatives. Wow. Democrats. I didn't even want to download the document. Too scary for me. It's called "The Harris Memos Compilation."

Now Hugh Hewitt has reversed his opinion about the debate and says he thinks Trump won the debate.

ABC isn't telling the truth about inflation

I love (not) what the MSM doesn't tell its consumers! ABC a few days ago was opining on various ways to save money to cope with inflation. They don't even mention Biden. Of course, anyone who is paying attention knows this is Biden's inflation, and we can't blame Putin as he does. He announced during the 2020 campaign that he planned to destroy the fossil fuel industry so he could cave to the goals of the Climate Change hoax pushed by the leftist of the Left in his party. Mr. Putin heard all that too and was rubbing his hands together with glee. More profit for Russia!

We all know how to save money so there's more for the gas tank. We Bruces both have extremely expensive prescriptions that warn no more than one drink a week. We used to order "house brand" Merlot when we went out on our Friday night date. So we can save $15 a week right there, just by following doctors' orders. Cha Ching. That's one tank of gas increase over last summer. Not the cost of the fill up, but the cost of the inflation. Thank you, Joe Biden, but you should accept responsibility for your failures. We have enough fuel in the U.S. to pull us out of this malaise, and to save the rest of the world from Putin's profit on the oil he can sell to buy weapons to invade Ukraine!

Stop being evil, Mr. Biden. Stop being a slave to the Climate Change worshipers and cult.

Do police deliberately and disproportionately kill blacks?

As riots and protests about police killings continue, let's look at some murder statistics. I'm using 2017 FBI-UCR (Uniform Crime Report), because these reports roll in at various times. Let's look at the victims instead of the killers. They don't get the headlines, but their lives matter too. TLM. In 2017, there was a total of 15,129 homicide victims--6,579 were white, 7,851 were black, and 2,304 were Hispanic. Assailants are usually male and between the ages of 15-35 and are most often the same race as their victim, but VICTIMS can be any age and sex--women, children, elderly. Within the UCR reports, these homicides are further detailed, such as gang killing, babysitter and child, rape, etc. I won't address that except other reports show for under age 5 victims the most likely weapon of a murder victim is fists, not guns or knives and a relative is usually the killer, not a babysitter or stranger.

Even those who hate math can see blacks are murdered at a much higher number and rate than whites or Hispanics. Whites are 76.3%, and Hispanics 18.5% of the population. Blacks are 13.4% of the population, and bear the burden of violent crime (these murders often take place during other violent crime).

What's the solution from prominent Democrats and BLM geniuses? Defund the police, i.e., make things even less safe for blacks. Most police homicides involve a person with a criminal record. That includes George Floyd last May, Daunte Wright (Minnesota, accidentally shot) and Miles Jackson (Columbus, who attacked police in a hospital). All had warrants for arrest, and all resisted arrest. That's the usual situation when police kill someone, black, white, brown, male or female.

Just as an add on: here's the quote from ABC News about Columbus, which shows what matters in reporting. Race. The reporter noted in the first paragraph the race of the criminal. Then after a summary description:
"Jackson died in the shooting at Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in suburban Columbus. The races of all the officers have not been confirmed, although several appeared to be white. A message was left with police requesting that information."
After that biased paragraph, ABC includes a lengthy blow by blow detail from the body cam of how the criminal behaved and pulled a gun on the police. Even a 10 year old could figure this out, but that night crowds showed up to attack the police station.

The Townhalls—only one worked for the candidate

I didn't watch the dueling townhalls (apparently some NBC affiliates didn't carry Trump's), but heard some summaries this morning on the radio. Samantha Guthrie on behalf of Democrats and NBC asked 43 questions and the audience asked 10. Is that a townhall? She asked 4 or 5 questions about white supremacists which the President answered and has answered so many times you can see it's a hate theme for Democrats not an honest question. And she continued to reword the questions. No one ever asks Biden about the violence of BLM and ANTIFA, because he thinks their violence is just an idea, not a threat and it's in our imagination that buildings have been burned and people terrorized.

Also I heard the oddest sex and skin answer at the Biden Townhall. A mother who identifies as a woman asked him about her 8 year daughter whom she identified as transgender. It wasn't clear to me if the daughter was a girl wanting to be a boy or a boy who had announced to the world he was a girl. It also wasn't clear if 8 year olds should be taken seriously, because that wasn't addressed. Anyway, Biden answered her with a personal recollection from his childhood of something his father said about 2 black gay men kissing in public. He can't seem to say anything without bringing up race. And like a lot of old people, flips back to his childhood because those memories are fresh. I haven't seen any research or gossip about gay men wanting to be women, but the gay men I’ve known didn’t seem interested in that. Then just for good measure I think he threw in something about murdered transwomen--I suppose he'll pass a law about making murder illegal.  What a concept.

Although I hate to ever pose such a question to a search engine because of all the kooky stuff that will then appear on my screen or e-mail, I did find an article about murdered transwomen (aka men). It seems a reporter located information for 157 in the last 7 years. All black. If these murders follow the patterns of other murders, they were killed by black men and they were sex workers. This was never brought up in the article which had a political purpose--to get more legislation to protect black transwomen. Federalist actually did some research, and like other murders, the sex of the victim and perp line up. 34 black transgender were killed by other blacks, 2 by Hispanic, and 1 by white. Of the 9 white murders of transgender women, 7 were killed by whites, and 2 by Hispanic. Also, domestic violence, drugs and prostitution were involved in most of the murders.

Charitable giving

We actually have 6 television sets.  And two are not connected to cable, so I see broadcast media whether or not I want to.  Today ABC Good Morning America (kitchen) is featuring companies that donate 1% of profits to charity, and give employees 7 days off to volunteer. Well, fine. That means the consumer is contributing in higher costs because the profits to donate come from us. Plus, most Christians I know are donating 10% or more and they volunteer on their own time. When was the last time ABC or the broadcast media featured tithing Christians or Jews in the corporate world--except when denouncing them for their abortion or contraception policies? (This is not to say the CEO/owners featured were NOT religious--it just wasn't the focus. Apparently virtue and morality appear magically out of nowhere.)

Oh, the broadcast spin

At home I don't watch a lot of news on TV, but here at Lakeside where we don't have cable, I see more broadcast TV than at home.  Trying to get the national news about weather and various international events is difficult with the pro-Hillary spin. To my knowledge, ABC hasn't had a report of that huge smoochy huggy Biden and Hillary event.  I saw a photo on the internet and it really looked like he was from TSA trying to check her bra.  She looked helpless.

Watching/listening to ABC (All 'bout Clinton) news this morning. They mention Hillary's scandals after leading with Trump non-scandals, then back to Trump for the non-story of a change in his campaign leadership, but never go back to Hillary's e-mails and scandals. The ABC reporter is outraged (why do they shout like we're in a stadium and they don't have a mic) that Trump talked about the Democrat Party's failures among blacks in a town that is 95% white. Where do they suggest he do this, Milwaukee which has had either Democrat or Socialist control for over 100 years and blacks are burning down their neighborhood?

I wonder how many Americans get their news from broadcast media and don't understand the spin.

On Obama's $400 million bounty for Iran

I was listening to ABC this morning--because it's antenna TV at our lake home, that's the "choice." After 3 seconds on Obama's payoff bounty ($400,000,000 cash) to Iran, it was on to a monologue about Trump saying something stupid.

"Democrats proudly own the channels and their journalists openly toast Hillary. If anyone imagines a Republican -- any Republican -- can possibly withstand the 24-7 anti- Republican blizzard both from the media and a sitting president, Hollywood types, and teachers & professors, he/she is tragically naive. Despite the facts of Obamacare imploding, Obama's bombing in Libya & Afghanistan, the invasion of our borders, the poor and minorities getting poorer, 1% GDP -- leftist media now and forevermore will cut the Republican nominee to ribbons with nonstop negative rants." George Stephanopoulos

Georgie Porgie puddin' and pie,
Kisses Obama which makes us sigh.
When GOP comes out to play,
Georgie Porgie runs away.

Broadcast media should have different standards than cable. The FCC regulates them. We all realize George was a Democrat operative in the 90s and staffer for years, but really, give him an opinion show. George isn't a news correspondent--he's practically on the White House staff.

We’re past 6 years on the job.  How is this a rescue?  A coach or CEO would have been fired years ago. But then FDR is still hailed as a hero, and he kept us in a depression for over a decade.

Without laughing, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on Tuesday’s World News Tonight advanced the White House hope that Barack Obama will be seen as Ronald Reagan was in 1987, as a President who rescued the economy and was rewarded by voters. -  http://newsbusters.org/blogs/rich-noyes/2015/01/20/abcs-stephanopoulos-finds-it-credible-barack-obama-can-be-another-ronald

The Jimmy Kimmel dust-up

Just a follow up on Jimmy Kimmel's China comment. Last night Glenn Beck interviewed Pastor Bob Fu, a former Communist and atheist from China, and now a Christian. He and his wife left China to save the life of their unborn child. We've all heard of the one child policy, but he said Chinese women have to carry a "birth permit" which records their periods, insertion of birth control device, etc., because they need government permission to conceive, even for the first child. The document he showed to the camera sort of looked like a passport with the woman’s photo, and stamps, and notes. Pastor Fu and his wife hadn't obtained the proper permit and could not get medical assistance. So even 8 and 9 month old babies can be aborted against their parents' wishes. So if ABC or Jimmy Kimmel want a come back to the racism charges, let them do some investigative reporting and tell the truth about the Chinese government continuing to kill its own citizens.

Raddatz the debate judge is Obama’s buddy

Do you think there is a conflict of interest? If Mrs. Romney had a sorority sister working for a Fox News panel, do you think that wouldn't be brought up every night?

"Martha Raddatz (ABC) has a connection with Barack Obama going all the way back to their days at Harvard. They worked on the Harvard Law Review together, and Obama attended her 1991 wedding. Fast forward to the present, and President Obama has appointed Raddatz’s husband, Julius Genachowski, to the Federal Communications Commission. Genachowski is also an Obama campaign bundler, meaning that he is a major fundraiser for the president’s re-election effort. That storyline alone raises questions of corruption and rewarding political supporters with powerful federal posts. Yet ABC insists that Raddatz has no conflict of interest in moderating the debate." ABC dives into the sewer

Creator/Producer Nahnatchka Khan thinks this is real life America.  And maybe it is in his neighborhood.  Turn it off.

“Last night Don’t Trust the B---- in Apt. 23 premiered on ABC at 9:30 pm Eastern/Pacific -- that's just 8:30 in the Central and Mountain time zones -- and it may well represent a new all-time low for broadcast television.

The program is a sexist mixed-bag of hedonism, drug-use, alcohol abuse (including the main character plying a 13-year-old boy with alcohol to get him drunk) and explicit levels of promiscuity that are shocking even by today’s broadcast TV standards. “

Back to the old, tired and biased news sources

Now that we're at the lake house, I have to watch ABC or CBS if I want some news. You might hate Fox News, but Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly aren't newscasters, they are opinion/talking head shows. Fox News just gives the news, and some of it you'll not find on broadcast, and some of it is dumb car chases and pretty women. Not so the news on broadcast TV. I was shocked by the opinion inserted into the two stories I remember from yesterday, the Wal-Mart law suit and the Supreme Court and John McCain's comments on the fires in Arizona. This morning at the coffee shop on Fox News I got the real McCain story--that he was quoting from a US Forest Service testimony and report about fires. I, of course, realized the snippet ABC was quoting used the words "some" and "may" but they had to interview someone from La Raza to make it "fair," the radical, anti-U.S. organization that wants the southwestern states to be returned to Mexico.

Arizona shooting victim arrested after threatening Tea Party member of panel

Do you suppose that ABC and Christiane Amanpour used poor judgement in bringing an understandably stressed out shooting victim on to a panel when the media clearly have been part of the run up to blame the wrong people for the tragedy? James Fuller probably believed their lies. He threatened the Tea Party representative, Trent Humphries, on the panel and was arrested. He will have a mental health evaluation, something which Loughner apparently either didn't have, or was allowed to ignore the results. Shame on ABC for not 1) vetting their panelists, and 2) not protecting their panelists. I watched the tape; Humphries hadn't said anything inflamatory--he was asking for calm and a period of respectful mourning. Fuller appears to have come prepared to challenge him.

Arizona shooting victim arrested after threat - Yahoo! News

Moonbattery: "Congratulations to ABC. People are finally going to watch the floundering Amanpour's This Week program. But good luck getting anyone to swallow the preposterous "mainstream" media narrative that this horrible story is about Sarah Palin and the Tea Party encouraging violence. Even ABC's own affiliates are starting to choke on the irony."

A child upstages the President

Damon is a cute little guy interviewing President Obama, his dream, on all the major networks this morning, but I changed channels after about 20 seconds. Same old, same old. The President blaming someone else, never his own generation or group, instead of inspiring a child to greatness. Here we are in 2009 with two minorities (and four Catholics?) on the highest court in the land, a biracial, out of wedlock son of a Kenyan in the White House, and all the President can do is dump on the American culture when a child asks him about poverty in his school district. Can you imagine Justice Clarence Thomas responding as Obama did? But it was Thomas who really experienced poverty. Obama was the proverbial silver-spoon-rich kid whose own children have always attended private schools. Compared to Thomas who was raised on a share cropper’s farm by his grandparents, he knows nothing about which he speaks from personal experience. Justice Sotomayor may call herself a wise Latina, but even she’s a born in the city, raised in the projects by an educated mother, child who despite what she sees as racism and discrimination, has managed also to make her way to the top. Democrats never see this as a success story--they seem to be embarrassed that America is the land of opportunity and are currently engaged in a war to bring everyone down to the projects-level standard of living.

Obama could have begun his halting and stammering (where is the teleprompter?) with pointing out to this smart, gutsy child, that he was well on his way like Thomas and Sotomayor, but instead, chose his words to remind everyone, not that we’ve come a long way, but that we have even further to go.

Thanks for nothing, O Great One.

The Obamacare Infomercial

ABC really looked foolish. What was apparent during the 2008 campaign is now chiseled in stone--we have no free broadcast press in this country anymore than they do in Muslim countries. And the other sources like cable and talk are under great pressure through regulatory agencies run by Obamaclones to preach and teach the Obamadminews. Wonder what the ratings were? Saying "others disagree," is hardly giving 2 or 3 sides to the debate. So, what are our TV choices here: sitcoms with snarky, skimpily clad, jiggly women with few lines, law and crime investigative shows where plots involve cops or priests who are crooked, PBS green-go-only shows, or "news" media falling at the feet of the President. I may have to start watching football.

First Axelrod, now Emanuel, misremembered

It's getting so crowded under the bus with Wright, Grandma, Rezko, etc. The blog at ABC, also dancing around what is fast becoming obvious to everyone who is not on Obama's payroll
According to Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., Mr. Obama's incoming White House chief of staff, Emanuel, then-state senator Obama, a third Blagojevich aide, and Blagojevich's campaign co-chair, David Wilhelm, were the top strategists of Blagojevich's 2002 gubernatorial victory.

Emanuel told the New Yorker earlier this year that he and Obama "participated in a small group that met weekly when Rod was running for governor. We basically laid out the general election, Barack and I and these two."

Wilhelm said that Emanuel had overstated Obama's role. "There was an advisory council that was inclusive of Rahm and Barack but not limited to them," Wilhelm said, and he disputed the notion that Obama was "an architect or one of the principal strategists."

(An Obama Transition Team aide emails to note that Emanuel later changed his recollection of this story to Rich Miller's "CAPITOL FAX," saying, "David [Wilhelm] and I have worked together on campaigns for decades. Like always, he's right and I'm wrong.")
And have you seen the NYT chart of influence? Almost funny with the blank spaces.

Update: And now an Illinois a news source is not only pulling the story, but denying the meeting took place. "KHQA TV wishes to offer clarification regarding a story that appeared last month. . ." Funny they didn't correct it until today. And Jesse Jr. says he absolutely had no input. Personally, I think Blagojevich will really sing in order to get the charges reduced. You can't trust a guy with hair like that.

Shame on you, Charlie

The not-so-subtle sexism and hostility in Charlie's opening question for Sarah Palin about experience and hubris would have never been asked of Barack Obama, or any man running for public office. Fortunately, she was a lady as well as an experienced leader, and she "didn't blink." Ladies, we have a long way to go--vote McCain-Palin.

Mr. Gibson, she answered you the first time, you didn't like the answer, and then you just looked silly.
GIBSON: What if Israel decided it felt threatened and needed to take out the Iranian nuclear facilities?

PALIN: Well, first, we are friends with Israel and I don't think that we should second guess the measures that Israel has to take to defend themselves and for their security.

GIBSON: So if we wouldn't second guess it and they decided they needed to do it because Iran was an existential threat, we would cooperative or agree with that.

PALIN: I don't think we can second guess what Israel has to do to secure its nation.

GIBSON: So if it felt necessary, if it felt the need to defend itself by taking out Iranian nuclear facilities, that would be all right.

PALIN: We cannot second guess the steps that Israel has to take to defend itself. More here

We report; you decide

That's what I like about Fox. It drives liberals crazy because if they don't hear their own off-key choir in their own reverb echo chamber, it's bias. However, facial expressions, voice and adjectives go a long way. And today, Fox did show an enthusiastic news corp over McCain's choice. I watched reporters on ABC and Fox discuss Sarah Palin. The ABC news dude first interviewed a Democrat (that is standard--sometimes only Democrats are interviewed), then a Republican whom he literally attacked and interrupted each time he tried to say something positive. By contrast, on Fox a female reporter who had been following the Minnesota governor closely thinking he might be the choice, was interviewed about reactions to the Palin choice. She practically bubbled with enthusiasm while reporting her "absolutely amazing personal story." The ABC guy twice demanded to know how a special needs baby was going to affect her campaigning. Then there's that NYT stalker-feminist (a brunette Ann Coulter) who has already smeared Palin, but Cokie Roberts was interviewed to balance that (on ABC) noting that her appeal wasn't her "female plumbing" as the accuser suggested, but her conservative core beliefs.
