Biden's Charlottesville moment

I noted that Biden had said nothing in 7 months about the riots against Jews all across the nation and on many college campuses even though he had the J6 protestors jailed. And now, ta-da! His own Charlottesville moment.

"I condemn the antisemitic protests, that’s why I set up a program to deal with that,” Biden told reporters in Virginia. “I also condemn those who don’t understand what’s going on with the Palestinians and their — how they’re doing.”

Biden ran on the Charlottesville “good people on both sides” lie. Now in 2024 we have Joe Biden actually doing what he claimed Trump did in regards to antisemitism pic.twitter.com/IyxiY6q5Ue  — boxingMD (@BoxingMD1) April 22, 2024

But Trump didn't say what the media (and Biden) condemned him for. The reporters continued to harass him and question him, demanding that he clarify that he wasn't talking about neo-nazis. Now Biden says there are "very fine people" protesting and supporting Hamas, but he also waited 7 months. Plus the Charlottesville protest was in one place over one statue. These "hate all the Jews" protestors are condemning an entire race all over the world. And if they say it's just about Israel, why are they threatening American Jews?

NBC edited video of knife attack in Columbus

I don't understand why some media sources deliberately mislead the people who trust them for information. NBC destroyed its credibility on the recent stabbing incident in Columbus that resulted in the police shooting to death a 16 year old girl attacking other young girls in a suburban neighborhood. Based on the Twitter lynch mob, including Valerie Jarrett, only some black lives matter, and the two girls being attacked didn't matter. It's clear on the various videos what was happening, yet NBC edited out the knife! NBC did a similar edit on the George Zimmerman case too. The day before the Columbus incident a 13 year old girl was killed by another 13 year old, also by knife, in Cincinnati. The media didn't care about that child because no one was killed by the police. But she's still dead!

Knives are lethal weapons, and the fact that the assailants are still children doesn't change the danger to the victims. The media are after ratings, they ignore crimes if they do not have a racial angle they can blow up. I believe in capitalism is a good system, but I also believe there is ill gotten gain, So, actually, I do understand why NBC did it--profit.

The Breitbart reporter had a more sinister view on why NBC did this.
"So why would correspondent Kevin Tibbles, anchor Lester Holt, and NBC News broadcast something so transparently manipulative, inciting, and dishonest?

The answer is obvious: They want to start another wave of race riots; they want to see more Democrat-run neighborhoods burn to the ground.

There is no other rational answer."

The lies continue

Democrat media complain that there was no mention of the virus during the RNC. Really? I heard it. In prayer. In stories of first responders. In testimonies of survivors. In news clips of Cuomo and Newsom praising the president for the quick aid he sent their states. Stories of amazing new treatments and advancing technology.

And the governors have sent the "crushing" economic woes, not the president. It was Democrats who fought the president on stopping international air traffic from China. It was Democrats who told tourists to come to their cities even as late as March. The false narratives they invent for any crisis, from children in cages, to what Trump said in Charlottesville, to how this virus spread, are unconscionable. They try to cover up their "defund the police" and "loot the cities" slogans with these whiny, petulant lies.

Washington Post lied and was sued

A huge victory for equal justice under the law. "Hate" hoaxes, Fake News and false narratives must stop. After marching for life on a winter day, Catholic teenagers were intentionally framed by Leftist group(s) and media using decontextualized video. It was immediately promoted by Washington Post, Sojourners and many repeaters. Nick's lawyers filed a defamation suit for $250 million. It is one of six suits against media. Final settlements are undetermined. No more lying. Justice matters. Every human life matters to God.”   (Kelly Monroe Kullberg)

Scandal around Obama’s role grows, but will it be reported

The Flynn “justice” scandal and the Trump impeachment fiasco. It all points to the top.  Based on any past bad news about Obama, the media will run for cover, or not cover the growing scandal clearly laid out in the documents that the Democrats were pulling off the biggest vote theft in their history--the attempt to undo the 2016 election.

https://nypost.com/2019/11/20/when-the-villain-is-obama-not-trump-news-suddenly-becomes-not-worth-reporting/?

I know what happens in libraries, and it's probably the same in news. Librarians don't purposely "ban books" and that whole ALA "Banned books" week/month is just hype to get you into the library (before they were closed by the government). Library collections become liberal because the banning goes on in the back rooms where books are ordered from favorite review sources, which are liberal. It's a massive, circular system--conservative professors don't get promoted or don't get published so the liberal publishers don't pick up their material, which then circulates through smaller, independent publishers. And at the root the banning goes much deeper. Conservatives may decide against a career in academe or anything that influences the culture because the deck is stacked against them. You'll hear about women or minorities being shut out because that fits the liberal agenda of grievance, but what liberal would ever write about discrimination against conservatives! Just doesn't happen. It's "banned."

Much the same in the news. News media don't fabricate fake news, they don't have to--the people who post on FB and Twitter do that for them by reposting memes and fake stories. What the media do is edit out the part of real news they don't like, major in minors, or just choose to not report something. That's why liberals bad mouth Fox News--its coverage of Trump is only 50% negative, so therefore liberals believe it must be fake if it isn't filled with negative, insulting information. Or they point at Hannity or Levin, which are opinion shows (very pro-Trump), not news. Because the MSM like Washington Post or New York Times contain so much opinion in their regular news coverage, liberal readers are confused between factual reporting and biased opinion (all opinion articles have a bias, as they should, even this one). So if the media cover a political or cultural event that is a current topic, then later find out it actually happened under Obama and not Trump, they scramble to quietly pull it, or don't report it at all.

Nutrition and mathemagic

Here's an excellent example of using nutrition fake research to influence politics--in this case, Brexit. http://healthproblemsnews.com/health-news/higher-fruit-and-veg-prices-after-brexit-could-kill-5600-people/ Grocery bills could go up $3/week, thus killing possibly 12,000 people in the UK (highest estimate). Really? You mean someone might not be able to go to Starbucks in order to buy 3 apples and a bag of carrots? Do you know how many Brits spend their winters in Spain? It's a short flight. Gorgeous grocery stores there. I try to rely on good, peer reviewed sources, but BMJ (British Medical Journal, https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/9/1/e026966)  failed us here with mathemagic.

Speaking of Spain, I saved $500 in less than a year by giving up my morning coffee at Panera’s in 2015; I saved another $500 by discontinuing coloring my hair. I saved $200 by changing credit cards (got one that gives cash back). Helped pay for our 2015 trip to Spain.  And yes, their grocery store produce is better than any I’ve seen in the U.S. and the airports are packed with retired Brits coming and going.

White Christians accosted in DC while waiting for bus

A group of Catholic teens from Covington, KY were in DC for the March for Life this past week-end. The next day while waiting for the bus to take them to the march location they were accosted by both a black supremacist "Hebrew" group and a native American guy who shows up at rallies to protest ancient history. Being kids, they initially thought the Indian was performing and they joined in, before realizing they were under attack. Because a few had MAGA hats, they were fair game. The blacks were shouting gay slurs at the boys—not just reading Bibles as CNN reported. The media ran with the story that the kids were the ones causing the problem, twitter spread it, and their own school didn't support them--of course did no research. Now the full video is out (not the 30 seconds shown on social media). There was racist name calling directed at the teens, and shame on all those fake news sources [and their own school], and congratulations to the kids for keeping their cool until the truth came out. White males are under attack; pro-lifers are under attack; people who support our president are under attack. Our Fox 28 here in Columbus carried the fake story without ever checking for facts.

The clip that went viral was about 30 seconds—but there is full video available.  No taunting even in the viral clip, as CNN claimed. The teen just stood quietly and the total stranger who claims to be an Indian and VietNam vet (to the media) bangs a drum in his face. Remarkable restraint from a 16 year old. CNN should be ashamed for their lies. There's no video of any of the things they accused the kids of. There was no clash. The cult of Hebrew blacks who were calling the children disgusting names about homosexuality and incest, are treated as Biblical prophets by the racist CNN rip and read babe.

The media gave these children more attention than they gave the whole March for Life which was filled with teens and millennials, marching for the lives and rights of the unborn. Little did they know they'd be stripped of their own rights while waiting for a bus. For just standing there singing and goofing around like kids do.

Be very afraid for your sons and brothers, your husbands and friends. Anti-life, anti-Christian Marxism is coming after them, and too many Christians and conservatives are willing to grab at anything they see on-line and take it for truth just so they can run for cover from the lies. Remember the Duke Lacrosse team smear of 2006? That was anti-white, anti-male. That took months to reveal--now it happens in minutes, and lives are ruined, families threatened by internet goons.

Home grown dezinformatsiya/дезинформация

“Russian internet trolls worked overtime in 2016 to inject disinformation into American elections. A year later, as news reports now reveal, Democratic operatives, some funded by LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, tried out these same tactics to boost Senator Doug Jones in Alabama. Russia’s online dezinformatsiya has gone native, and it will get worse.”  Wall Street Journal, Jan. 12, 2019

Disinformation, fake news, false narratives, conspiracy theories,  obfuscation, propaganda, yellow journalism, and flat out lies have always been a part of the American political process.  Disinformation is more a government embedded plan, but how are we to know our own government doesn’t do the same.  It was the Clinton campaign in 2008 which launched the “Obama birth certificate” story, which then made numerous evolutions through the right wing.  Her campaign also funded the fake dossier about Trump in Russia. None was done without the help of the deep state.

Not sure why WSJ is giving all the credit for our own home grown mischief and tactics to the Russians or even social media and the internet.  After all, we’ve got George Soros and all his many sticky fingers into U.S. non-profits and churches.

Review: Social Media, Weaponized

“The Kremlin’s “dezinformatsiya” campaign—whether carried out against Ukraine, Estonia, Germany or the U.S.—involves “a bewildering array of narratives designed to distort truth and confuse its enemies,” Mr. Patrikarakos writes. And of course it isn’t just the Kremlin that operates in such a way. “Obfuscation has found its perfect platforms” in the realm of social media, he notes, reaching “audiences to a degree unprecedented in modern history.” The conditions are ripe: “In the postmodern Western world, where academics decry the notion of an ‘objective truth,’ where the lack of trust in institutions is lower than at any other time in living memory, this type of information finds a receptive audience.”” (War in 140 Characters)

We’ve always had propaganda, but “fake news” is relatively new—and from the left

According to Sharyl Attkisson, who has researched and tracked it, fake news is relatively recent.

image

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oa7QvcKYGZA&feature=share

The fake news meme began with Obama about a month before the 2016 election and the media ran with it--aggressively fact checking every word Trump said or tweeted, but not his opponents. Then came the calls for Big Tech to fact check. Was it a campaign to shape our news, by labeling website and stories "fake?" Follow the money. The money behind the first story by a non-profit First Draft (shortly before Obama's speech) came from Google. Imagine that. The parent company Alphabet was all in for Clinton. And then the smear to blame the right for Hillary's failures by David Brock (former right wing gay journalist in the 80s and 90s who flipped to the progressives and became top Hillary supporter); particularly he blamed Bannon and Breitbart News. He began to pressure Facebook and other social media to label conservatives, alt-right. Actually, since Brock's been involved since 2012 in pushing Clinton on the Democrats, he was just covering for his own failures. He had transformed an ethics group to a partisan group and "resigned." Then H. Clinton, the queen of fake, jumps in--remember her fake video and false Benghazi stories? She starts demanding fake news investigations, like "pizzagate." Wants to protect our democracy and innocent lives. (David Brock's boyfriend owned the pizza store.)

So, keep watching. It's very revealing. Although Trump talks about fake news, the opposition, the never-Trumpers, those with TDS, actually started the meme, and Trump ran with it and called them out for bias and sloppy reporting. The leftist media finally tired of the Fake News when Trump took it over, and they declare it dead and owned by the right. She goes on to explain how political lackeys and reporters work together--aka blackmail, and she has records of 2009 Obama aide e-mails with reporters.

Would you fight back?

"The liberal media in America complain because President Donald Trump often calls them "fake news" and "the enemy of the people." They also charge that Trump's criticism fuels an uncivil atmosphere that sparks violence, e.g., they are now blaming Trump's rhetoric for the mail bomber and the Pittsburgh synagogue shooting.

But the liberal media do not view their own extremist, hyperbolic "news reporting" and commentary for contributing to America's political incivility, even though their diction is far more militant, repulsive, and noxious than anything Trump has said about the press."
This is how the media describe our president of the United States, and indirectly his supporters, like me. . .

Are there alternatives to Cable? Yes.

I’m following a discussion by people who have given up cable, particularly because of the biased MSM but also the expense. Is it any wonder the polls got the election all wrong, because no one is listening to that garbage any more? Here’s a selection of comments.

‘We moved and cut our satellite/cable TV. No more $167 per month for Direct TV. We opted to just use the Roku we already have, using internet we need to have anyway, and add Sling TV for local channels and sports.”

“I listen to talk radio during the day til 4 or 5 pm then I go to ROKU for Glenn Beck for evening entertainment it's NetFlix or occasionally a network show.”

“I actually stopped watching almost everything on Fox too. Just watch the six o'clock news, but I'm not addicted to that anymore either. I'm much more productive and much less stressed out I must say.”

“We started with Sling but moved to Playstation Vue because of Fox News. We also get Redzone for football through Vue for my husband. More streams than Sling too though we don't use that many. Playstations Vue has more local channels too. Don't miss DirectTV though I think my husband misses NFL Sunday Ticket.”

“We don't watch any broadcast or cable news anymore. I use feedly to manage a large set of news sources organized by category and that's my daily source of information. There's far more diversity in my daily news diet than what can be found flipping through channel after channel of airheads and screamers.”

“You like to listen to the news - not necessarily watch? I'd get XM radio. We got an XM Roadie radio and we take it with us when we go on vacation but when at home have it hooked up to Bose. You can listen to Fox News plus all sorts of other goodies. We love Old Time Radio classics. Nothing like listening to The Whistler when out in the remote regions of Maine.... The Whistler knows!”

“YouTube has good news feeds from around the world that I find more varied and sane than the American media right now. BBC has their own set of biases, but is still worthwhile. Billwhittle.com has excellent conservative commentary. I stream all of these on our TV through the Xbox. Any big stories or disasters tend to show up. I also go online, browse headlines to see if there is anything that needs further investigation. Haven't bothered with broadcast news in years and don't miss them except for breaking local stories. We did get a little antenna to pick up channels for when my Mom comes over, and used that for local weather and a local shooting incident.”

“I haven't had cable since I graduated college in '03.  All news comes from the internet. Honestly, I cannot stand tv news at this point. Too much cross talk, less depth, and I can read much faster.”

“Sling offers The Blaze and BBC World News. Sky News UK streams live on YouTube. NewsOn has news shows from hundreds of local stations around the country.”

“During Gulf War I, we were glued to cnn & of course local news stations (I live across the street from the gate at NAS Jacksonville & my husband was stationed at VP-30 at the time). CNN and any national news outlet repeatedly broadcast things I knew to be untrue. I swore off television news forever. When I read the same things in the newspaper, I stopped reading that, too. I have weakened a few times over the years - Election2000 (thank goodness we had FNC by then) when we were in Hawai'i, Katrina coverage, the Summer of the Hurricanes - but basically I simply don't bother with television at all. For several years, talk radio was my line to 'news.' Then that guy from Chicago became prominent, and I had to listen to soundbites from him or #derhillderbeest or any one of the scum in the Swamp, so I went to sports talk radio. Been an avid fan for ten years now. Used to be some espn, but now it's almost all local sports talk or MLB or Dave Ramsey. Now that we're in our house again, we have antenna tv, MLB.tv, PGATOURLIVE, and Sling. Along with Amazon Prime, I have everything I need without the negative ugly crap I used to let ruin my days. It's not for everyone, but I am a much happier woman than I was. I do now occasionally listen to Rush again, especially if Steyn is subbing.”

Democrats, embittered and leaderless

"This bold new agenda [Trump is a Russian agent] has proven so enormously popular that the Democrats have wasted $40 million to lose four special elections. The Democrats are leaderless. Their base has become a roving mob of angry embittered sloganeers showing up at town hall meetings and random political events to scream hate. They threaten to kill the wives, children and dogs of Republican members of Congress. . . They are going into the midterm elections on a conspiracy theory. The theory is backed by their fake news media outlets at the Washington Post, the New York Times and CNN. It just lacks any actual evidence beyond the sort of web of connections usually advanced by conspiracy theorists."

"The Democrats couldn’t cope with the fact that a left-wing extremist murdered JFK. So they built a vast array of conspiracy theories that blamed the CIA, the Cubans and the “climate of right-wing hate” in Dallas. The Communist who killed JFK was just a “patsy” for one of those vast right-wing conspiracies.

But it was left-wing extremism that killed Camelot. It’s left-wing extremism that is killing the Democrats."

News new and fake

CNN - Dateline Philadelphia - Breaking News
Jim Acosta reporting.

"CNN can now report that it has just discovered the long lost, yet to be ratified, Twitter-eighth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States which states "Ye shall not post GIF's to Twitter about CNN that CNN finds offensive."

Written by Ben Franklin himself, the draft for this amendment fell between the benches in Independence Hall as the Constitution was being drafted at the Philadelphia Convention in 1787.
This is not #fakenews at all. Swearzies."

Juan Thompson and fake news

After Juan Thompson, a black anti-Trump reporter and cyberstalker of his ex, became the object of the investigation of vandalism and attacks on Jewish agencies, those stories of Trump being anti-semitic just sort of faded away. I checked a website on fake victim/crime stories and I think his was about no. 293. Corrections don't seem to get as much publicity, but victim stories are becoming increasingly difficult for me to believe. Bullying e-mail. Hijab ridiculed. KKK scribbled on wall.  Never mind though, there are still millions of gullible Americans falling for every fantasy.

Local channels promote fake news

Let your local news channels hear from you when they repeat the fake news script "Muslim ban" or "immigration ban." It's 7 countries out of 50 (and that number should raise some questions--most used to be Christian countries). It dates to 2015 when President Obama recognized the danger of trying to vet people from governments with terrorist ties (and he would have NEVER used the word Muslim). I've written to Channel 10, WBNS. They not only misuse this term, they misuse their audience with anti-administration stories.

The big boys that bring in super smart and well educated workers on legal visas are getting nervous. They must make us think the worst. Google. Amazon. AMA. Academe. They are bringing in foreign workers in every imaginable category--while American graduates struggle to pay off their college loans working as secretaries and copy editors. I'd be shocked if Google is bringing in any Somalis or Yemenis except to work in the kitchen to feed their millennial staffers organic, vegan salads. I think large universities like Ohio State would close tomorrow if their supply of foreign students all getting a full ride from their governments back home, would have their visas questioned.  This is BIG money.

http://fortune.com/2017/02/09/h1-b-silicon-valley-tech

These companies don't import steel or light bulbs or bicycles to compete with American factories, they import workers to compete with American workers. So what happens when a labor field is flooded? Wages stay flat--STEM workers' wages haven't progressed much since 2000, according to Fortune Magazine. But it probably looks pretty good to someone from India. So how is an American college grad to pay off that $30,000 debt if Silicon Valley is filled with workers from Asia and India here on H1-B visas? The college slots are also filled with foreign workers. I don't think these guys at Google and FB worry about Muslim terrorists, but they probably stay awake at night thinking about a level playing field for American IT workers. So let's call it an "immigration ban."

The power of fake news

This is the power of fake news. Democrats are more familiar with Steven Bannon than life long, powerful legislator, Chuck Schumer. Bannon was the editor of Breitbart, the on-line news source, flip side of Huffington Post. He was demonized by the left for NOT deleting the trolls and idiots who posted in comments. Now he's advising Trump and they are convinced he has more power than Schumer who's on TV beating a dead horse every day and whom they elected.

Fake news and alternative facts

I have a huge collection of fake news and alternative facts on my living room book shelves. My favorites are the 11th, 12th, and 13th editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica. They belonged to my grandfather who died in 1968, bound in black leather with sheer paper.  In fact, based on the detailed maps in the 12th, I'd say battles in France in WWI were the most important events of the 20th century. In my office I have about 40" of church history books that indicate not much ever happened before Luther. 1500 years of literature, medicine, science, architecture, agriculture, theology, etc.--just got left out. And of course, my cookbooks are filled with "facts" about coffee, chocolate, eggs, butter and micronutrients that are history but not accurate--but that could all change next week. But the most enduring fake news and alternative facts come from our media which have so disgraced themselves the last 16 years first lying about Bush then glorifying Obama to have rendered themselves obsolete.

No workable policies, the left resorts to name calling

Although I think it’s dangerous and inaccurate for our media (and I include leftist digital news like Huffington Post, The Daily Beast and Vox in media) and Democrats to call patriotic, non-college graduates “alt-right” which has become synonymous with Nazi, I do think I’ve observed the right falls for falsified information more than the left, and that includes memes about health products and cures, genetically modified food, vaccines, collapse of bee colonies, big foot, and things famous people have said. The left inserts more trolls—again my opinion—at conservative websites. This has been confirmed in their own words by recent videos by undercover researchers.

This is not new—the phenomena of fake news—only the name is new and political since Clinton lost. As a librarian, I saw it all the time, especially from the animal rights movement. You’d see the same photo of an abused cow or dog appear in a number of publications as “real news.” I consider a lot of climate change news fake, yet that can get me called a “climate denier” as though Ohio was never under a glacier or that coal didn’t come from a time of heat and pressure. There was a time in the 20th century when pogroms or mass starvation in USSR were unreported and then called fake news by our own government and media when it did come out. Turks call reports of Armenian genocide fake to this day 100 years later, despite photos and survivors’ families. There are some who say no one died at Sandy Hook and no one landed on the moon. People have been falling for fake news and MSNBC news for years. Look at the whoppers Clinton told about the video causing Benghazi. Or Brian Williams.
As one of the best known correspondents in the world for one of the best known newspapers in the world, [Walter] Mr. Duranty's denial that there was a famine was accepted as gospel. Thus Mr. Duranty gulled not only the readers of the New York Times but because of the newspaper's prestige, he influenced the thinking of countless thousands of other readers about the character of Josef Stalin and the Soviet regime. And he certainly influenced the newly-elected President Roosevelt to recognize the Soviet Union. http://www.weeklystandard.com/pulitzer-winning-lies/article/4040
http://www.dailywire.com/news/11475/brian-williams-blames-fake-news-clintons-loss-robert-kraychik

 https://theintercept.com/2016/12/09/a-clinton-fan-manufactured-fake-news-that-msnbc-personalities-spread-to-discredit-wikileaks-docs/

Glenn Greenwald is a source I cautiously recommend. He's done investigative research on both Snowden and Manning, two of our most famous leakers. Some of his writing would put him on the left, some on the right, some in the middle--and he's very suspicious of bipartisanship--says that's when the most mischief happens. He's openly gay, and moved to Brazil for that reason some years ago. https://theintercept.com/staff/glenn-greenwald/

 https://theintercept.com/2016/12/10/anonymous-leaks-to-the-washpost-about-the-cias-russia-beliefs-are-no-substitute-for-evidence/

There are news stories about fake news stories and fake news stories about fake news stories. Odd that the left only became interested when Clinton lost, and not when she was distributing misinformation about a video that caused Benghazi deaths. I'm pretty good at sorting these out, but this is trying the skills I learned as a librarian in Slavic Studies, Latin American Studies, Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, to say nothing of all the clerical jobs in a public library (Mt. Morris, Illinois), college and university libraries (University of Illinois, Ohio State University), and a private special library (OhioNet). Librarians known that everything on the shelves has a bias just through selection of what to purchase, and who controls the publishing industry.

But social media are a whole new ballgame. Some of the news sources I read online are filled with bad actors, trolls, kids barely out of high school working out of mom's basement, disgruntled government employees, web designers with desperate bosses seeking clicks so they can make their profit, and little old ladies like me--that's really what LOL stands for

Crazed Hillary supporters threatening electors

It probably doesn't fall under "fake news" when Vox or The Daily Beast or The Huffington Post write prejudiced paranoid posts about alt-right or white supremacists or The Tea Party, but I wonder if they will take responsibility if one of their readers believes them and actually does kill one of the electors pledged to Trump. They are being threatened and their names and addresses are being published. Or, what if they don't kill them, and just terrorize them into changing their vote? The Left is so full of hate and bigotry it will stop at nothing to prevent this election process.
