Harold Ford, Jr. on Fox News

Although I've never met him, I just love Harold Ford, Jr. He seems to be the only Democrat who has common sense, compassion and calmness. He's never said he likes Trump, but he did say he's the most powerful president of his lifetime. He is an African American who is one of the "liberals" on the Fox panel at 5 p.m., The Five. He now lives in New York but for years was a representative from Tennessee, as was his father. But I noticed today as he was interviewed about Schumer that reasonable Democrats do sound like fence sitters or maybe passive aggressive. What do you think? Do you like him too?

The Fox interview with Kamala Harris

It seems I'm the only one who thought Kamala talked louder than Bret on Fox last night. I've heard that charge so often about how Donald Trump stopped the so called bi-partisan Senate border bill of 2024 even I could argue the sides. I've yet to hear the interviewer drill down and ask about the numbers of illegals allowed in. The bill gave authority to shut down the border, which wouldn’t kick in until the seven-day average number of cumulative encounters with INADMISSIBLE migrants was between 4,000 and 5,000 per day. And even that would be discretionary unless the seven-day average was above 5,000 per day. What Democrat president wouldn't love codifying the number of illegals at 5,000 a day? Then they would call them legal and sign them up to vote, live in hotels, flood the local schools, use welfare intended for citizens, and emergency funding for hurricane victims. All while rich Democrats like Obama and Pelosi live in gated communities!

And there were billions for Ukraine in that "border bill" too, although leftist media loves to split hairs on that in the old shell game.

And speaking of rich. That old saw Kamala trots out in each speech about Trump's tax breaks for the rich is right out of the 80s. Why can't interviewers ever ask her about that? The wealthiest, most powerful donors to elections in the U.S. are Democrats using illegal migrants as gardeners and house cleaners. Just a few months ago we saw a coup and the president was deposed by a few mega-rich corporate magnates and Hollywood PACs.

But Bret just let that fly on by and continued to let her lie, lie, lie, and obfuscate about her role as border czar and a "middle class" kid who didn't show up for work in California. She blames Trump who held no office in the Senate and gave a tax break to the middle class in his four years.

Bret . . . I think you failed.

The Dominion Voting Software

So all these "crazy" people, Trump included, who said there was something wrong with Dominion weren't so crazy after all? All that money Dominion got from Fox? What's going on? The Halderman Report.

"The warnings are stark, suggesting that Georgia’s voting machines could be manipulated by bad actors in mere minutes. Halderman argued that attackers could alter the QR codes on printed ballots, and install malware on individual voting machines “with only brief physical access.” They could attack the broader voting system if they have the same access as certain county-level election officials, his report said."

Tucker is causing heart attacks on the left

Interesting to see how the low rated media are treating Tucker on Twitter. Using adjectives we've all said about them! Anti-semitic, unhinged, paranoid, deranged, conspiracies, slapped together, his hair sticking up (?) They would kill (and they are trying) for his audience numbers.

The fast fall of Fox

Although I haven't watched Fox News since Tucker was fired, I did hear from Matt Walsh that the 8 p.m. time slot has dropped from 1st to 41st. The women running Fox apparently were put there to destroy it. Owners must have their own supply of money independent of their investment. Fox not only hates its viewers, but also its employees. They are required to see "reeducation" messages and attend classes on LGBTQ sex and depravity. Things that would get anyone fired in the workplace. Years ago, I had a gay boss and a trans employee--they were honorable people who would be horrified by what is going on. Fox management pushes porn on its staff. I suppose it is a ploy to get them to resign, but those folks have mortgages, college debt, and church pledges to pay, so only the most screwed up, kinky or privately wealthy will stay. Sorry to see it. I loved the Fox ladies at noon and the Five. Meanwhile, Tucker continues spilling the beans on all our media sources. Episode 4 was on Biden's methods to destroy our Constitutional election process. Jail his opponent for "crimes" he Biden has committed. Banana Republic. We be it.

Missing Fox because Tucker is gone?

 I enjoyed two day-time Fox shows--Outnumbered at noon, and The Five, at 5 p.m.  I'll drop them both now that Tucker has been fired.  I enjoy the Newsmax morning show, Wake up America.  Good hosts, and interesting panels. Rob Finnerty. Veteran News Anchor Rob Finnerty Joins Newsmax TV | Newsmax.com

A friend on Facebook has some recommendations:

Get a Rumble account - you can watch on Roku or your PC. Great shows that tell the truth like In The Litterbox with Jewels and Catturd. Flyover Conservatives, American Media Periscope, The Pete Santilli Show, Uncover DC, Redacted News, Thrivetime Show, The Prather Point, Benny Johnson, The Mel K Show, and the list goes on and on. I watched Tucker from time to time but haven't watched Fox since they called AZ early in the 2020 election. If you watch on your PC, you can participate in the chat. Norma - you'd love putting in your 2 cents worth. I participate in the chat but my Rumble account name is not my real name but is something clever. No one in the chat goes by their real name.

And I forgot Steve Bannon's WarRoom. Another place to watch shows is Frankspeech.com (Lindell TV). You'd love Brannon Howse. Can watch on Roku and PC.

Tucker--best in the business

"Carlson, 53, was the best in the business — the most interesting, the most provocative, the most compelling, the most scathing personality out there — and no one else was even close. The numbers bore that out, week after week after week. But in a numbers-driven business, the Fox News potentates decided that their mild and moderate sensibilities were more important than calling out the wrongness of the world around us: the nihilism of the Left, the cognitive decline of the American president, the wickedness and cultishness of the transgender movement, the incessant race-baiting of the Democrat Party, the craven DEI obsessiveness of corporate America, the socially engineered destruction of our military, the corruption of the FBI, the two-tiered justice system that pervades us — we could go on. And Carlson did go on. And on. And on."

Dear Conservatives, I apologize

Dear Conservatives, I apologize (Dr. Naomi Wulf, Democrat) Dear Conservatives, I Apologize (substack.com)

"I believed a farrago of lies. . ."

"There is no way for anyone thoughtful, even if he or she is a lifelong Democrat, not to notice that Sen Chuck Schumer did not say to the world that the footage that Mr Carlson aired was not real. Rather, he warned that it was “shameful” for Fox to allow us to see it. The Guardian characterized Mr Carlson’s and Fox News’ sin, weirdly, as “Over-Use” of Jan 6 footage. Isn’t the press supposed to want full transparency for all public interest events?"

"Sen Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Senate minority leader, did not say the video on Fox News was fake or doctored. He said, rather, that it was “a mistake” to depart from the views of the events held by the chief of the Capitol Police. This is a statement from McConnell about orthodoxy — not a statement about a specific truth or untruth."

"Jan 6 has become, as the DNC intended it to become, after the fact, a “third rail”; a shorthand used to dismiss or criminalize an entire population and political point of view.

Peaceful Republicans and conservatives as a whole have been demonized by the story told by Democrats in leadership of what happened that day."

You can read her entire piece, although she doesn't seem to catch on that the "mostly peaceful" meme repeated by Tucker was a reference to MSM journalists standing in front of burning buildings in 2020 claiming the Floyd riots were mostly peaceful.

Where do you get your information?

Gary asked, "Where do you get your information?"  He watches only MSNBC and CNN--two channels that pretend to be objective and fair, but repeat the Democrat party talking points, in my opinion.  That is a great question, however, something all librarians and teachers emphasize when teaching research skills. And it’s essential for him particularly to ask because so much of the news is infused with opinion, not research, and he spends a lot of time watching news from one viewpoint. His method is why librarians and teachers usually don’t accept “magazines” as a valid source when teaching research. Some won’t even accept an encyclopedia, which is a shame, in my opinion. I love encyclopedias, and most articles are signed. Not many people own the 11th, 12th, and 13th editions of the Encyclopedia Britannica, but I do.

When I give an opinion, it’s that. Norma’s opinion. When I quote, I try to always cite the source, and my opinion may be learned from others over time, but by checking their sources. Dennis Prager’s recent tirade against Biden reflects mine, but I’ve followed Prager for years. He’s been on radio for 40 years, is Jewish, loves music, literature, politics, has great wisdom, and supports young conservative influencers like Candace Owens, Will Witt and Charlie Kirk who have gone on to their own careers. Pager was anti-Trump in 2016—converted to a fan when Trump accomplished conservative goals of lower taxes, less government control, border security, cutting red tape, best friend Israel had, priorities for prison reform, etc. https://www.creators.com/read/dennis-prager/05/22/joe-bidens-buffalo-speech-was-the-speech-of-an-indecent-man

My opinions are primarily built on my values, even if I don’t think about it. Christian, anabaptist, conservative fiscally, formed by the region I’ve lived in (Midwest U.S.), the language I speak, race/culture, college education, and career. However, my entire life I’ve been pro-life, even before I understood the science and politics of taking the life of a baby in the womb. Even in second grade, I remember thinking evolution was ridiculous and anti-science, because yes, evolution was being taught as truth at Forreston elementary in the 1940s. I learned to pretend I learne it, to answer the questions on the tests correctly, and not rock the boat. I love science—and I see my values about creator/created confirmed every day, especially astronomy and all the “new” critters found at the bottom of oceans. Love that stuff!

When it is rate, number, percentage, average, median, year, I am usually relying on a government or academic source (since academics have government grants it’s hard to know where one stops and the other begins). I always keep in mind those sources also have biases because they are collected and published by humans. For instance, after 2008, certain crime sources just disappeared. After certain years, census sources changed—for instance, additional groups or races were added or divided. What was called white was changed to create Asian or Hispanic (a made-up word that includes hundreds of cultures). Biracial white/black/Asian/Mexican/Cuban/Indian is almost always considered black—probably a carry over from segregation days. It's my impression that liberal/progressive sources are more likely to refer to numbers rather than rate. Most confusing (on purpose) is the writer moving from rate to number to percentage in the same article. For instance, violent crime may have black aggressors 8x the rate of whites, but because white criminals outnumber blacks due to the population, liberal sources will site numbers more often in crimes. You may have to go to the last paragraph or a graph/chart to see percentage or rate.

Over time, I’ve learned when there is a horrific tragedy like last Wednesday in Uvalde, Texas, the tsunami in 2005, or the Louisiana hurricane in 2006, or the strange conflicting figures for the 2020 vote, it may take years to sort out or find the truth. I’ve heard three versions by Saturday of how police acted/reacted to the Uvalde tragedy. Without even listening to the news we know there will be the anti-gun bills and the safety bills. We know Democrats will be anti-2nd amendment and the Republicans will focus on SRO, more cameras, better training.

For some reason, Gary often sites David Duke, a has-been, colorful Democrat, from many years ago, sometimes because he was a southerner, and that was the party of hate he grew up with, the party that held blacks back with various Jim Crow laws, and now do it with money from government programs. He’s really a creation of the media, unlike Antifa, which actually did roam city streets, who were well-educated, rich white supremacists, who covered their faces with hoods, who did burn down buildings, and had clout. When I was a Democrat I certainly didn’t associate my party with Duke, just as I don’t associate any Democrats I know with Antifa.

But Democrats do get in a rut.  They are very suceptible to "progressive" ideas and fall for the socialist clap-trap. They actually believe if we hand more money over to the government, it will be used for whatever purpose they claim.  Republicans have spaghetti spines and no balls, to stick with the body language.

How the media are handling the Loudoun County, Virginia story

Admittedly, I haven't done a thorough deep dive in the archives on whether CNN, MSNBC, NYT, and WaPo have covered the rape and sodomizing of a female student by a boy in a skirt at a Loudoun Co., Virginia school bathroom. That boy was transferred to another school where it's been reported (also by non MSM sources) he did it again to another girl. It has been covered by Fox and Newsmax who apparently thought that the previous spin on this story which was everywhere on the MSM was newsworthy. If you watch CNN, have you seen the coverage of the father who was arrested for speaking out at a school board meeting? That video went viral. Have you seen the current information now available on why he spoke at the meeting? (The school was covering up the rape because of the transgenda bathroom policy.)

In 2005 a Columbus school principal was fired and 3 assistants put on leave for covering up the rape of a disabled girl in her school and not calling the police, but handling it in house. In the Virginia case, the police have the record of the assault, but the school denied it happened. In 15 years the intersectionality pendulum has really swung back at the expense of the children.

Fox has a much bigger audience than CNN and MSNBC, so let's hope someone in the Northeast or the DC bubble has seen it, as well as our school board in Upper Arlington which is making a big mess of the bathroom issue. We've had a huge "Keeping up with the other Suburbs" building expansion here with our taxes soaring.

Also, there is an election going on in VA and this is one of the issues. It seems the Democrat has said parents should stop telling teachers how to do their jobs. VA is part of DC. Glenn Youngkin (R) and Terry McAuliffe (D). I just looked at MSN News and the reporter is spewing the usual--white parents, right wing media yada yada--but says nothing about the rape in a bathroom charges by the father and why he was protesting at that meeting in June. You can lie without saying anything!

Shep is out, Bill is in at 3 p.m.

Unless he keeps the same writers, Bill Hemmer should be easier to watch than Shep. I just turned Shepard Smith off; however, because the company was listing left anyway, not sure it will affect the viewers. Fox has always been more moderate and middle of the road than CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and the alphabet broadcast.  Its analysis and experts are better, its women prettier, its humorists funnier, and its tone friendlier.  Its ratings show. CNN must be getting subsidized because it has lost so many viewers I'm surprised it can pay the utility bills. Fox's news is news, and its opinion is opinion.  Any discerning viewer should be able to tell the difference. Tucker, Laura and Hannity are opinion shows. The Five and Outnumbered are up to the minute panel news commentary, but always with at least one liberal on board. Bret is straight news—doesn’t even change his expression. I predict Bill will sort of be right down the middle—news with a little opinion on the side.

“As a journalist, l am extremely grateful for this opportunity. 2020 will undoubtedly be a year of great significance. Leading our breaking news division with a signature hour has enormous value to me, personally, and to our audience,” Hemmer said in a statement. “We’ve got a fantastic team here and I am excited to get to work.”

Hemmer used to work for CNN and has been at Fox about 15 years.

What's going on at Fox?

What's going on at Fox? Soft on Muslim radicals and soft on Democrat crime. I don't know the details, but it doesn't look good for all the media to be left of center. I think that's called collusion--or just crony capitalism. Comment from a Facebook site—I didn’t write this and haven’t checked for errors:

"Judge Jeanine Pirro and “New Fox.”

Ya want to know what’s going on with Judge Jeanine Pirro? Fox News won’t tell you, but I will. There’s no joy in Mudville.

Disney is buying the 21st Century Fox movie studio assets. Fox Corp., begins trading as a standalone company Tuesday, 3/19/19, after a spinoff from 21st Century Fox. The “new Fox” holds TV assets including Fox News, the Fox broadcast network and television stations, and Fox Sports.

The new company has named directors to its Board, including Paul Ryan, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, to its board. That sucks, in my opinion. It’s no wonder that Fox is giving grief to Judge Jeanine Pirro. The company has also named Roland Hernandez as a director. Mr. Hernandez was previously chief executive of Telemundo Group Inc. Who’s next: Meghan McCain?

Fox News’ treatment of Judge Jeanine Pirro is inexcusable. But remember this. IF YOU QUIT WATCHING FOX NEWS, THE LEFT WINS. The Commiecrats would like nothing better than that we stop watching Fox News. True story."

Fox News leads all the other networks. The stockholders have made millions from a network that occasionally promotes a conservative viewpoint with opinion shows. CNN viewership is pitiful—it’s opinion is in the news--but it's all Europe gets. We don't need another liberal/socialist/lapdog like the other media. Fox already had 3-4 liberal rip and read folks that caused us to hit mute. Now Donna Brazile? The so called "political analyst" for the Democrat party who threw the nomination to Hillary? Commenting on Omar [which the judge did], who regularly disses the President and hates Israel, is a more serious sin than throwing Bernie under the bus and cheating the CNN viewers?

So why would I want to continue watching Fox? All social media is clamping down on conservatives—but there are still a few out there.

Why Fox is better for News

Fox News is far more reliable than CNN or MSNBC for this reason—it separates the news programs from the opinion shows, and you are never confused about which you’re watching. I may only watch 10 minutes of the morning chit chat, or 10 minutes of the 6 o’clock news, but I’m never puzzled about whether it’s news or opinion. The other networks not only ridicule and demean Trump, they also belittle his supporters, which doesn’t seem like a good plan to draw in viewers. But they don’t really need to add people who have different viewpoints because Trump has made so much money for them because the haters tune in to get their latest fix of Trump derangement.

I use a wide variety of sources from print, to digital to YouTube commentary to TV news shows. EWTN nightly news.  Jordan Peterson’s channel. Lionel Nation on YouTube.  I can’t help but see the broadcast media, and Fox always shows what’s going on in the Clinton News Network, etc. Occasionally I even watch or listen to PBS, but it’s a challenge because they don’t even realize the narrowness of their writers and reporters and therefore can’t offer anything right of center. Those other avenues of alternate opinions are being challenged however; the leftist cabal is pressuring them not to carry conservative voices, nor to accept payment methods which would dry up alternate viewpoints very quickly.

One of the nasty characteristics about a capitalist system (and the news networks depend on investors and advertising) is you need to destroy or block your competition. That use to be by offering a better product, but today it’s done with smears against personalities or owners. Find a few “non-profits” to call them racist or homophobic, and you’re on your way to a clear course to the big money.

Lionel Nation--he's addictive

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZfbjwnDmOk
May 18, 2017 report

In my search for news since Fox has gone to the dark side, I found Lionel Nation.  The first YouTube I watched I thought maybe he had ADHD.  Couldn't seem to stay on topic, but now I see his method of sounding real and discussing the. . . well, he calls it Truth. In this report he discusses how Roger Ailes changed the face of news, then moves on to the dangers of a special prosecutor and how he may bring out more on Hillary Clinton and John Podesta (for which there is much more evidence of collusion with the Russians) because the charge includes "the election" not just Donald Trump. And as an aside he lists all the reasons not to go to Times Square in NYC. Also Maxine Waters.  WOW.  You can get whip lash, but his comments (when he stays on topic) are much more informative than the 30 seconds you get on cable TV.

I don't understand exactly how YouTube works, but I think this gets to his regular playlist.  https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa3-BNaCeCvGSfhMuotYskg

The growth and dominance of conservative talk radio

Talk radio is about 30 years old, and the conservatives own it because liberal talk shows are boring, repetitive and represent a failed economic system, so it's hard to get sponsors. But that’s only possible because the “fairness doctrine” which is actually intended to limit speech and opinion to pure government think died when Reagan booted it. The media, according to Hugh Hewitt, which at one time had standards went left very quickly during the VietNam War and have never recovered their balance. Until 1989 when Rush Limbaugh came on the scene, the left owned the airways--TV, radio and entertainment shows. Now there are hundreds of local and national talk shows. Many of these hosts like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Medved, Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager, etc. also write best selling books (which your public library may ignore), make personal tours and appear as knowledgeable guests on national shows. Many of the conservative hosts also regularly have liberals on their show just to prove it can be done.

The success of talk radio laid the ground work for the most popular cable New channel in 1996, Fox News and all their opinion shows and panels at the other slots. It was fabulous successful, with ratings killing the other cable and network shows.  Now the Fox Formula is being dismantled, and today if you turn it on, you might hear a timid commentator waiting for the axe to drop speak about an important issue, but the producers will show only clips and filters of the opposition. They are killing the golden goose, but perhaps Soros is underwriting the shift.

Expect them to attempt to take down talk radio next, then any conservative social media sites.

A comment to Fox

I e-mailed a comment to Fox: "I'm going through my subscription list to conservative YouTube channels because the Fox news coverage and opinion shows have degenerated into pale reflections of the other news channels. I’ll just have to piece my own programming together. It was a good run, Fox, and I don't know why you are changing unless bought off by Soros, but I don't know any Conservatives who will bother turning you on today."

It's annoying to try to scrape together information, but it's certainly more challenging mentally.  The YouTube channels usually present topics that are 8-10 minutes long and don't have cat videos.

For news I'm using EWTN, Judicial Watch, Western Journalism, Common Sense TV, Michael Massie, PragerU, The Burning Red, Daily Liberty, and so forth.

If you watch Fox News, what will you do now?

What do you plan to do for news that isn't Soros run or a DNCast to get "the rest of the story" now that the sons have taken Fox under (fired the guy who made it great). Do we really need another CNN? Or MSNBC? Those of us who watch Fox know the difference between news and opinion shows.  For opinions you can watch anything on broadcast or CNN or MSNBC that goes by the name of News. It all starts with the selection which reflects the owners, the advertisers and the producers. On Fox all the panel shows commenting on the days events had a good mix of conservative, liberals, contrarians and libertarians drawn from the various media. In the last 2 months the schedule has been rearranged so often, you'd get whiplash.  Tucker Carlson isn't a news show, but he's been in 3 time slots--first Greta's, then Megyn's then O'Reillly's, and if they muzzle him as they've done the others, he'll be no fun to watch.

There are the talk shows on radio (Hewitt, Prager, Medved), but they only reflect snippets of AP, the NYT or WaPo or what's been filtered by the producers and writers. Patrick Madrid talk radio (Immaculate Heart) has a 3 hour morning show (we only get 1 hour) discussing contemporary events, but I wouldn't call it news exactly.  EWTN has an excellent evening news, but it doesn't come on until 9 p.m. Sensible, reasonable. Thorough. And it doesn't slam Christians.

I suppose we could resubscribe to Glenn Beck which we did for about 3 years. We got tired of his survivalist and religious wanderings (a former Catholic now a Mormon, but with little resemblance to either), and at least in the early years of his show he'd have good news coverage. Not sure what he has going on now, but we got bored with the eclecticism and praying on air.

President Obama and Fox News

President Obama has publicly condemned Fox News as against him (all the other media favored him, but he wanted them all). He blames Fox in part for Hillary Clinton's (his) losing the election. This is not true, but Fox did give more coverage to jihadists and massacres than the other channels, and that translates in people's minds as a security failure, aka the president's failure. Fox also gave more coverage to the decimation of Christian communities in war torn countries. Since about 80% of US citizens are considered Christian, Obama was seen as anti-Christian for not admitting Christian refugees. Other media sources ignore the plight of Christians. It starts to add up.

After a few minutes, I hit the mute button

  Image result for Shepard Smith Fox

"SHEPARD SMITH currently serves as the chief news anchor and managing editor for the network's breaking news division. Additionally, he is the anchor of Shepard Smith Reporting (weekdays 3-4PM/ET)."

I'm listening to Shep on Fox (leftist with his own "news" show--heavily opinion, however). He's blaming Putin for the crisis in Aleppo and Syria. Short memory. The U.S. supported the rebels after the much glorified Arab Spring; our leaderless presidency stood by helplessly and did nothing after our interference backfired. Putin stepped into a vacuum created by Obama. ISIS, which Obama helped create with his sloppy pull out from Iraq, is also involved.

I do think we should take in some Syrian refugees--at least the Christians--because we helped break the country. Readjusting to a new home and culture is extremely difficult. 83% of Americans identify as Christian, and 1% as Muslims. Muslims are killing Muslims of different sects in Syria, but they are all killing Christians.

Thursday thoughts

The reason it's called "Adam's sin" and not Eve's or the Sin of Adam and Eve is because of headship and leadership. IMO. He got the instructions before she was even created, then stood around and watched what happened when Satan showed up.
*                     *                       *
Here's how you spell third party. R-O-S-S   P-E-R-O-T. He was so successful he put Bill Clinton in the White House. I think it was 19% of the vote he took from Bush.
*                         *                   *
The April 5 JAMA is filled with praise and hymns to Obamacare, noting of course, all the changes and reforms that are needed, assuming those mean old, greedy, haters cooperate. Ezekiel Emanuel, MD, one of the ACA architects, has an article (Rahm's brother). Had you heard there are still 25.3 million eligible "residents" (in other words, he's including non-citizens) without insurance? And of course, it's the fault of those states that wouldn't bankrupt themselves by expanding Medicaid. He flat out lies about the costs going down. Elsewhere in the issue there is a chart that shows the rate of increase in healthcare costs fell more under Bush than Obama, and it has now spiked again. Sloppy editor must have not caught that.
*                             *                   *
I'd never heard of Larry Wilmore, the comedian at the White House Correspondents Dinner, who threw around the N word, but they are all liberal and all laughed, even the President. So coarseness certainly was acceptable before The Donald's appearance on the political scene. And fulfilling their role, the media are explaining to all of us in fly over country who would get fired or ostracized for the same speech, that it's really OK.
*                               *                   *
I can think of at least three Catholic universities that should stop calling themselves Catholic. We don't call Harvard and Yale Christian colleges any longer; same with Marquette, Notre Dame and Georgetown and probably many others.
*                                   *                        *
Fox News and the Fox talkers have been 24/7 trumpeting Trump; I had enough and am desperate enough to watch PBS and QVC.
*                                   *                         *

"Of all the disheartening signs of the utter ignorance of so many American college students, nothing so completely disheartened me as seeing on television a black college student who did not know what the Civil War was about. Fifty years ago, it would have been virtually impossible to find a black adult, with even an elementary school education, who did not know what the Civil War was about." Thomas Sowell, May 3, 2016
