Michelle Obama’s legacy, musings and opinions
Despite her belief that America is a racist country, Michelle Obama has been voted the most admired woman. That's gratitude for you. I remember that Lady Bird had her beautification project of public spaces, and Nancy Reagan was fighting drugs, and Laura Bush was pushing libraries and museums, and Hillary Clinton tried to take over health care (Hillary Care), and Rosalyn Carter worked on behalf of mental health and poor children, but I'm trying to remember what Mrs. Obama was known for that put her on the cover of so many fashion magazines. Was it obesity in children? Is her legacy all those school lunches that were thrown in the trash?

The Smollett crime
Project 21, a conservative black think-tank opined: "Washington, DC - After prosecutors dropped charges against actor Jussie Smollett in the case of an alleged Chicago hate crime hoax, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are condemning the situation as a crass display of "celebrity privilege" harmful to both race relations and the reputation of the law enforcement community. Project 21 continues to maintain that the NAACP should drop its nomination of Smollett for an honor at its upcoming Image Awards ceremony.
"This case stands for one clear proposition - regardless of color. In America today, people of wealth and privilege can escape accountability for the same acts that mainstream Americans cannot," said Project 21 Co-Chairman Horace Cooper. "This deal stinks, and it makes a mockery of the idea that all Americans are equal before the law." "

FLOTUS lies for former FLOTUS
Michelle Obama gets that quaky shaky voice--very effective unless you just heard it about lewd talk (and she wasn't referring to Jay-Z lyrics that she allows the children to listen to). These people on the left are really, really worried. Race is tightening even with throwing in Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and both Obamas into the mix.
President Obama's now attacking Senator Rubio. Scared for the Senate. Obama must be terrified that the next president will damage his legacy of destroying our health care. Trump has no help from his party, and no political buddies to campaign for him and only a smidgen of the money compared to Hillary's campaign chest, funded by foreign governments.

Michelle Obama's speech on language
But I did hear and excellent speech by another black woman being interviewed on the radio while driving to the grocery store. She's not a billionaire or millionaire like the Carters and Obamas. She is one of Trump's surrogates talking about how she's waited eight years after voting for Obama for the Democrats to help blacks grab a hold of the American dream. Instead she's watching the perks go to new immigrants and refugees instead of Americans. She likened today's black leaders in Congress and Mayors' offices who are at the beck and call of the Democrats to the slaves who kept the other slaves in line on the plantation. She was so passionate and convincing I think she should be speaking instead of him. At least she talked about jobs, education and immigration.

Beyonce and Barack

Jay-Z's lyrics. Michelle took her daughters to his concert, but claims Trump's tape of 11 years ago is more disgusting than his lyrics. The Obamas have invited the first couple of smutty lyrics and undress to their home. Their net worth is about one billion.

Michelle Obama on feeding her kids
“Before coming to the White House, I struggled, as a working parent with a traveling, busy husband, to figure out how to feed my kids healthy, and I didn’t get it right,” she explained. “I thought to myself, if a Princeton and Harvard-educated professional woman doesn’t know how to adequately feed her kids, then what are other parents going through who don’t have access to the information I have?”
I have two degrees too (no name dropping for me), but I think I learned about basic nutrition from my mother, from 4-H, and from 7th grade home-ec class. When I was first married, I read the introductory material and nutritional information in my recipe books and women’s magazines. Many things have changed since I was raising children, like we know margarine probably isn’t good for us, and coffee isn’t going to poison us, the way I learned. But I always knew fruits, vegetables, some meat, cheese, eggs and bread would cover it.
I also learned how to make a great pie from watching Mom. It’s all in the crust.

POTUS and Pope, FLOTUS and Chi-Coms
With Michelle Obama talking to the Chinese about freedom of expression and information and Barack Obama chatting with the Pope about religious freedom, the world is truly upside down and backwards. The Obamas know nothing about either.
Cardinal Raymond Burke: “It is true that the policies of the President of the United States of America have become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization. He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies.”
The cardinal added that “Now he wants to restrict the exercise of the freedom of worship; that is, he holds that one is free to act according to his conscience within the confines of his place of worship but that, once the person leaves the place of worship, the government can constrain him to act against his rightly-formed conscience, even in the most serious of moral questions.”
He concluded that “Such policies would have been unimaginable in the United States even 40 years ago. It is true that many faithful Catholics, with strong and clear leadership from their Bishops and priests, are reacting against the ever-growing religious persecution in the U.S.”

She cried the day she realized she was a Republican
“Michelle Obama, while on her multi-million dollar "vacation" with an entourage of 70 people, tells the ChiComs How America Used to Discriminate Against People Like Her and Her Husband. - and yet it seems they have Stockholm Syndrome. I love how Rush put it today, RUSH: "I really wonder if Michelle Obama knows that you can't even move from the country into a city in China unless you have a permit and that getting a permit is dependent on many things which are discriminatory. . . I wonder also if Michelle Obama even knows that every single one of these laws that discriminated against blacks like her and her husband were written, enacted, and enforced by Democrats, every damn one of them."
I believe it was Einstein who once said: It is easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled. - I can somewhat attest to that. I remember the day I realized I had been duped, fooled, hoodwinked etc. I was mad but I also had to choose to accept or reject the truth. We each have the choose to dig in our heels and be stuck on stupid (or more kindly, willful ignorance) or admit we were wrong and move on. Shoot I even cried the day I realized I was a Republican, lol. After the years of conditioning it is hard to admit to being fooled but I would rather that than live my life as a fool.” ~ Ayesha Kreutz, President, www.fdfny.org Shared on Face Book

Details on how Obamacare became the law of the land
Another thing to remember about the passage of the PPACA, aka Obamacare, is that Obama had a Democrat Congress his first term, and it passed by ONE vote. Not only did it not get a single Republican, but many Democrats saw it for what it was. One more grab of federal power. Also it was reported even before it passed that as many as 10 million might lose their insurance in the grandfather clause, which in fact was then made even stricter through the regulations added after passage of the bill. He still went on the road with the story that no one would lose their insurance or doctor, even though he knew it wasn’t true. That was not publicized before hand or he might have lost that ONE critical vote. And now it has been revealed that the contract for the failed computer system went to a classmate of Michelle Obama, plus is was a Canadian firm. Michelle’s friend,Toni Townes-Whitley, Princeton class of ’85, is senior vice president at CGI Federal, which earned the no bid contract to build the $678 million Obamacare enrollment website. How many times has Obama demonized American corporations for moving business out of the country? http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/cfw/commissioners/tonitowneswhitley.htm

Bread and Circuses
"Mrs. Obama has been all over pop culture. Her Oscar outing followed hard on the heels of a mean “mom dance” on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Her husband, meanwhile, has been golfing with Tiger Woods. Some members of what used to be (long ago, boys and girls, when non-cool presidents were in office) the adversarial press corps joined forces to chant a question at the returning President Obama after his golf outing. They had lodged complaints with the press secretary about lack of access, apparently crestfallen that the White House refused to permit pictures of Obama and Woods on the course. Their shouted question wasn’t about the sequester, or Benghazi, or Syria, or Hagel; no, the pressies chanted in unison (Occupy-style) “Did you beat Tiger?” Their crush on Dear Leader is undiminished.
The president makes himself available to friendly questions from the press — see the latest 60 Minutes interview — and is always available to chat about his basketball final-four picks or what’s on his iPod. In short, both he and his wife have mastered the art of being celebrities-in-chief. The man who wrote two autobiographies before he was 45 (earning a tidy fortune in the process) is a genius at marketing himself. Together, the Obamas provide “circuses” aplenty for the masses. As for bread, that’s another matter."
Did you know that in order to coerce the Republicans into higher taxes and no cuts, they are releasing criminal illegal immigrants due for deportation as an early sequestration move? But dance on Bo.

Barack and Michelle—middle class kids going to Ivy League schools on your dime
Everyone agrees--Michelle Obama gave a flawless presentation. I've only seen a few clips, but I'd judge her a better speaker than her husband, with a rich, authentic voice. That said, some of it sounded a bit "hard luck" for such a middle class girl.
-
Fellow blogger LadyBug Crossing says:
We were middle class, too. Dad worked as an engineer for a large company. Mom was a nurse - she worked weekends. We traveled the world with him. We lived in the same house (except when we were overseas and they rented it out) my whole life....
We made do. We shopped the sale racks. Mom made our dress clothes. We kids didn't get cars when we turned 16. I went to public school. I went to college and graduated without debt thanks to Mom's nursing job providing the extra. I worked every minute I was home from school. I lived at home until I got married. My graduate degree was earned while i was working. It wasn't easy, but I did it! We scrimped and saved for our house. Our cars are 10 and 11 years old. We have no debt except the mortgage. If we can't pay for it, we don't buy it. imagine that? Will I apologize for having a great childhood? No. Will I apologize because I have a nice life? No. Will I apologize for giving my children a similar life? No. They know the value of a dollar, the value of their education, and that family is where it's at. :-)
I won't show you photos of Michelle's wedding gown because there are probably copyright issues, but you can google. Gorgeous and she looked fabulous. Definitely the 1% type dress and the men wore tuxes, whether or not she had to skip a few school loan payments to pay for it.

Seventy-eight presidents in New York City
Michelle's new bling worn at the DNC fund raiser is probably worth some of the annual budgets of countries that get to thumb their noses at the U.S. "The First Lady wore Katie's Lotus cuff priced at $15,000 with 2.9 carats of diamonds, her Gothic cuff at $15,350 with 2.17 carats in diamonds and the Quatrefoil bracelet at $11,800 with 1.73 carats in diamonds."

I defend her right to burgers and fries
Meanwhile, yesterday she ate a 1700 calorie lunch (burger fries shake) and the conservative bloggers and talkers are going crazy. Lighten up. Criticize her politics--that's bad enough. However, diabetes and high blood pressure are serious and even more deadly in the black community. We all pay for that in loss of lives, and in our own insurance costs, whether it's Obamacare or one of the Blues.
Also, every dieter knows an occasional pig-out helps the cause.

At least the President knows how to dress
Tuesday night I served supper at the homeless shelter. The women there were better dressed than the first family women who seemed to be making a fashion statement, but in translation it just came off sloppy and messy.

Moral hectoring from the left
Mrs. Obama: "We can teach them [our children] the value of tolerance – the practice of assuming the best, rather than the worst, about those around us. We can teach them to give others the benefit of the doubt, particularly those with whom they disagree."
An Open Letter to Parents Following the Tragedy in Tucson | The White House
I have trouble forgetting how she dissed us--all Americans--during the campaign and election period. Where was her tolerance for differences then?
There's not a shred of evidence and no dots to connect, but the party of misinformation just keeps rolling on. This seems to be the only transparent thing about the Obama administration.

Would you paint in a $200 t-shirt?
Would you even buy a $200 t-shirt? This is in keeping with Mrs. O's style--take 40 of your best friends on a trip to Spain and put them up in first class 5 star hotels while the little, unimportant people struggle with a recession, made worse by your husband's tax and spend policies. This "let them eat cake" attitude has given rise to an extended nickname for her, Michelle Antoinette Obama.
I think the tasteful light green cover ups the residents are wearing would have worked just fine for a paint in service day.

Yesterday I bought a $4 Jaclyn Smith t-shirt at KMart (on sale). It is tasteful, practical, a good color for me, it covers what needs to be covered, and if I spill or splash something on it, I'll be sorry, because I think it's a great buy. Jaclyn Smith's designs are great for the mature woman--she's had a relationship with KMart for 25 years and isn't just a brand, but is an entrepreneur who participates in the design and production. I'm a much smarter shopper than Mrs. O. who during the 2008 campaign tried to commiserate with pink collar workers by complaining about her college loans, and the costs of private schools and piano lessons for the girls. Some rich people are clueless about how others live.
