I watched some of Kash Patel's Senate questioning this morning and was surprised to hear that at least one Senator, a Democrat of course, still believes that several police were killed in what the Senator still calls an insurrection by Trump supporters, yet he demanded that Patel use the words, "Biden won." No police died during that riot on January 6, 2021. One unarmed woman, Ashli Babbitt, a demonstrator and veteran, was shot by a capitol policeman. Policeman Brian Sicknick died of natural causes after the riot. But Pelosi put on a big funeral for him and held off releasing the name of the man who killed Ashli for months. Thousands of police were injured during the riots of 2020 and untold billions in property damage (including here in Columbus, OH) resulted in mostly blue cities and who knows how many citizens died from "defund police." Democrat Senators probably don't remember.

J.D. Vance and Donald Trump
J.D. Vance is a bona fide conservative-populist fighter, and like President Trump, is willing to take on Big Tech, woke corporations, the open borders lobby, Communist China, and the rest of the radical left-wingers trying to undermine our American families, destroy small businesses, erase our history, and transform our country for the worse.
As a boy, J.D. experienced many of the hardships that are all too common in our rural communities - he will always be a voice for the people overlooked or looked down upon by the corrupt political elites in Columbus and Washington.
As a Marine and Iraq veteran, J.D. has served our country on the front lines, and as an entrepreneur he’s building businesses and bringing jobs back to our region.
J.D. cares passionately about securing the American Dream, our religious liberty, our constitutional rights, and our way of life for future generations."

J.D. Vance campaign for senate
"J.D. Vance’s life was rife with drug abuse, childhood trauma, and self-destruction. For example, his mother was a drug addict, his community was falling apart spiritually and financially, and he had a distant relationship with his father. Although his grandparents were a light in his life, they too were abusive, flawed, and broken people.
Despite his upbringing, J.D. broke the cycle of violence and abuse. He joined the military, settled down, grappled with his trauma, and achieved financial success. As with all remarkable individuals, he overcame the hell he was borne into. Hillbilly Elegy by J.D. Vance | The Five Powerful Lessons I Learned (becomeanindividual.com)" This review is overly dramatic--read the book. He was fortunate to have the love of his grandparents and some good mentors along the way. The military service was a turn around for him.

Diane notes: He also did all of his athletic achievements without ever lifting weights. He did sit ups and push ups and simple things like that to strengthen himself because he couldn't afford to train at a gym or own weights when he was younger.

Our new Justice, Amy Coney Barrett
The latest misinformed and evil word from the left is that the Constitution is a racist document. Therefore, Judge Barrett being a textualist or originalist (follows the original meaning) is a racist. The Democrats are out of their minds. They must now pack the nine member court to "save" the country. When they get done, there will be nothing to save. The behavior of the Democrat senators during the Barrett confirmation hearings was bizarre. The President nominates, the senate confirms. Period. The president's term isn't 3 years, it's 4. Obama nominated a judge in his final year, and the Senate refused to hold the hearing process, which was their right. If Obama had had a Democrat controlled Senate, his nominee would have been approved and every whine and lie we've heard from Democrats would have been drowned out by their dance band and party. And we would have had one more judge making decisions on her "lived experience" rather than law.
My regret is that the Republican Senators let this drag out when they could have just confirmed--they already knew everything about her. They risked a last minute Borking or Kavanaugh abuse side show and we would have lost a fine judge. We didn't need another reality show of Democrats behaving badly.

You now have the facts about this nomination
All we need are the facts. We don’t have to call Fancy Nancy names like lunatic even though she’s gone on national television threatening to impeach the President for fulfilling his duty.
It’s a fact. This has happened 29 times according to Ted Cruz. Yes, and each time a president at the end of his term has done his duty, and the Senate did theirs. Period. Barack Obama did it too—and he lost. That also happens if the President and the Senate are not the same party. Democrats and some Republican RINOs like Murkowski and Romney are just uninformed (and suffering from severe TDS) when they say this is unprecedented. The RINOs are also stabbing their constituents in the back. The courts, for some, are a bigger deal than abortion or the 2nd amendment. Honor your voters wishes.
It’s also a fact that Democrats are threatening to pack the court.
It’s also a fact that Democrats want to add 2 more states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. to their “quiver” to take over the country.
It’s also a fact that Democrats want to destroy the electoral college so only the major metropolitan areas, which they control (most burning from riots and looting) will have a say in governance.
It’s also a fact that the far left of the Democrat party is pushing the “green new deal.” If you want to see how that works, take a look at California and Oregon burning from 40 years of bad environmental laws and regulations.
It’s also a fact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed in 44 days from nomination, less time than we have now before the election.
So now my friends, you silent lurkers who read my posts every day, you can face your wild eyed friends and family with information. Let them do the screaming and yelling and the ad hominem attacks.

Leaker worked with NYT reporter
John Wolfe was in “a relationship” with a New York Times reporter for three years, to whom he was giving sensitive government information. Pillow Talk. He’d been in his position for 3 decades—since 1987! That’s the two Bushes, Clinton, Obama and Trump! He just retired in December.

“Wolfe was the security director at the SSCI for three decades from 1987 to 2017 and reportedly managed all classified information, from the Executive Office to the panel. He left the organization in December and formally retired in May, reported the New York Times. Wolfe is scheduled to make his initial appearance on Friday morning at the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.”
Trump is right again.

One last campaign appeal--Joe Miller
Statement from Joe Miller “The campaign remains optimistic that Joe Miller will be the next U.S. Senator from the state of Alaska. Previous write-in campaigns in Alaska have demonstrated that as much as 5 to 6% of returned ballots have not met the standard to be counted as a valid vote. As with any write-in campaign, the burden of execution rests with the candidate whose name is not on the ballot. Candidates who mount a write-in campaign opt for an uphill battle. At this point, without a single write-in ballot counted, Lisa Murkowski has no claim on a victory. To complicate the matter, the Division of Elections has yet to adequately explain how a ballot will be marked in favor of a candidate. The current standards are extraordinarily ambiguous. We trust that officials will conduct the hand count with propriety and consistency. In short, this campaign is not over! “

Hypocrite in Chief
- Beck on radio: "Now, I just got a note from a friend of mine who said, Glenn, I was just in the White House for three hours. Inside, the walls are covered with 11 by 14 framed photos of the president in various activities. According to the Secret Service they are taken all of the time and changed weekly. I would estimate there are 300 photos around the White House now east and west wings, and they are changed weekly. Wow! Wow."
- In 2005, a year after his election to the Senate, Obama placed a hold on Susan Bodine to lead the Environmental Protection Agency office that oversees Superfund and emergency cleanup programs because the agency had missed a deadline on new regulations for lead paint exposure.
In September 2006, Obama and Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Ill.) blocked Robert L. Wilkie's nomination as a Defense Department assistant secretary over a long-delayed Pentagon report on Midwestern wind farms.
And Obama joined with other Democrats in October 2007 to block the nomination of Hans von Spakovsky to the Federal Election Commission. Von Spakovsky later withdrew; Wilkie and Bodine were eventually confirmed.

Liberals are so transparent
The new black kid on the block is being banned by Congress; a white female conservative was run out of town on a rail by NBC. You gotta love 'em--they are true to their phony core. Just-Us. - The former Illinois attorney general said he was "not seeking to have any type of confrontation" over taking the seat that he was appointed to by embattled Gov. Rod Blagojevich. But Burris, who would be the Senate's only black member, also said he was considering a federal lawsuit to force Senate Democrats to seat him.
- NEW YORK Apparently NBC was "Drudged." Columnist/author Ann Coulter, bounced from a Today show appearance today, has been re-booked for tomorrow.
Michael Calderone at Politico reports: "Coulter has been talking up being bumped by NBC for the past two days, both on other networks and the radio. A controversy erupted when Drudge splashed that she’d been 'banned for life,' leading NBC to deny that she was banned, and later offering her a new segment.
"On her website, Coulter writes that 'Drudge gets results: Today show changes mind.' She'll be appearing during both the 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. hours.
"So in the end, NBC will probably get more viewers and Coulter will sell more books—or at least further convince those in her camp that the MSM isn’t on her side."
Coulter appeared on the CBS morning show today and was accused of being "goofy" by Harry Smith.
Oh, and about Burris. Emmanual has denied any connection with Blagojevich and the senate seat; Jesse Jackson Jr. likewise; and also Obama says he's pure as the driven snow on the issue. If no one struck out, was the pitch thrown? If no one talked to Blago, where is the impeachable offense; and he hasn't been impeached for not talking to the Illinois three; and he's innocent until proven guilty under our system and is still the legal governor of Illinois. So Burris meets all the qualifications, including being a resident of Illinois--was probably even born in the USA.

Let Caroline run
She couldn't do a worse job than her uncle, cousins, and other assorted in-laws who've married the Kennedy name and used it to climb the political ladders in their states. I don't think she's killed anyone; don't know if she's ever had a job, but that too isn't unusual for the elites who inherit wealth from a capitalist ancestor and then swing left. But she can't match Sarah Palin. There's no comparison in talent, experience, and guts. In a recent interview when asked about the vilification she got for being "common," not from the educated elite, she replied- "But once the electorate knows what that candidate’s convictions are and positions are, I don’t think that matters. You just prefaced your question with the fact that I didn’t come from that ‘stock’. I got my education from the University of Idaho because that’s what I could afford. It was the least-expensive school that offered the programs I knew would benefit me in my future. My Dad was a school teacher and had four kids in college at about the same time. It didn’t occur to me to ask my parents to pay for my college education. We all worked through school and paid for schools that we could afford. I still got a great education. No, I don’t come from the self-proclaimed ‘movers and shakers’ group and that’s fine with me. It’s caused me, or rather, allowed me, to work harder and pulled myself up by my bootstraps without anyone else helping me. I think it allows me to be in touch with the vast majority of Americans who are in the same position that I am. That is desiring government to be on our side and not against us. And that means, in a lot of ways, for government to get out of the way to allow our families and our businesses to keep more of what they produce, to meet our own priorities." Interview

The Jacksons vs. Obama
Remember last summer when Jesse Jackson didn't have his mike off and said he hoped for an Obama castration? Literally. I'm much too refined to quote him. You can just go to Google. So Blagojevich after the election finds out that he will get nothing for appointing Obama's favorite, Valerie Jarret, but can get a pay off from Daddy Jackson who has all that blackmail money from CEOs with the wrong number of minorities on their staff. The Obamarama Crowd then decided to pay Jackson back by turning on his son, the infamous #5. Now both dad and son have hired lawyers, Obama's still claiming to be tri-squeeky clean (heard nothing, saw nothing, said nothing), and the press is all shaking its collective talking head suggesting, "Oh well, we all know Blago was crazy." That way when he sings, as we know he will do to reduce his sentence (I've watched Law and Order for about 15 years), his reputation and credibility will be totally destroyed. Never you mind that Obama was on his team when he was running for Governor of Illinois--and didn't notice he was a few bricks short of a load. Jesse just needed that pay back. You just don't cross an Obama. After all, Grandma was a bank vice president and he's got all those Ivy League creds.Wednesday, December 10, 2008
Rod Blagojevich, Obama, Bush, Frank, Pelosi, et al
And these are the public servants who want to tell us how to run the economy? And the world? For four years they've been investigating Illinois' governor, while he told the Illinois tax payers to tighten their belts, make grandma hostage at the nursing home with unpaid Medicaid bills, and close the local parks, even the ones that were self supporting. And Obama, the man with change and hope in his belly, heard and saw no evil, and spoke only beautiful rhetorical phrases. Meanwhile Blagojevich (is that hair real?) is negotiating a cushy job for himself and his wife with the Obama/Pelosi crowd. Will children's services remove the kids from an unfit home? This place sounds more corrupt than a few renegade Mormans. Who knew what when? Does it really matter? So, do you suppose this is what Biden tried to warn us about? Or was it some other disaster we're suppose to ignore and trust that our leaders know best? This post has a record number of question marks, at least for me. This Blagojevich story has left me only with questions. My condolences to the citizens of Illinois. I think it's time to clean up Chicago.

Voting with Bush?
Is it really true that John McCain voted with President Bush 90% of the time as a recent Obama speech claimed? Yes! After all, we do have a two party system, and they belong to the same party, although neither is particularly "conservative" on many issues. McCain portrays himself as a maverick and one who reaches across the aisle (Obama sounds like he's lifted some of McCain's phrases). In 2007 McCain voted with the President 95% of the time. Obama votes along party lines 97% of the time. So?- . . . consider that Obama's votes were in line with the president's position 40 percent of the time in 2007. That shouldn't be terribly surprising. Even the Senate's Democratic leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, voted with Bush 39 percent of the time last year, according to the way Congressional Quarterly rates the votes.
The McCain campaign points out that Obama told a local TV interviewer recently that "the only bills that I voted for, for the most part, since I've been in the Senate were introduced by Republicans with George Bush." Obama was actually wrong about that. In 2006 he voted alongside the president 49 percent of the time, and in 2005, the year before Democrats took control of the Senate, Obama voted with the president only 33 percent of the time.
Also, Obama voted in line with fellow Senate Democrats 97 percent of the time in 2007 and 2005, and 96 percent of the time in 2006, according to CQ. FactCheck.org

Harry Reid's tirade against Rush Limbaugh on the floor of the Senate was addressed by Margaret Chase Smith almost 60 years ago.- It is ironical that we Senators can in debate in the Senate directly or indirectly, by any form of words, impute to any American who is not a Senator any conduct or motive unworthy or unbecoming an American—and without that non-Senator American having any legal redress against us—yet if we say the same thing in the Senate about our colleagues we can be stopped on the grounds of being out of order.
It is strange that we can verbally attack anyone else without restraint and with full protection and yet we hold ourselves above the same type of criticism here on the Senate Floor. Surely the United States Senate is big enough to take self-criticism and self-appraisal. Surely we should be able to take the same kind of character attacks that we “dish out” to outsiders.

It's back!
The immigration bill is back with a new number, S. 1639. Time to e-mail, call or write snail mail the earmarkers, tax spenders, and border wimp-outs we elected. Sigh. No amnesty for illegals. Remember, IRCA (1986) was written by Ted Kennedy. It never worked; fixing a flat on a 4-wheel truck with only 2 wheels driven by a drunk still won't get you anywhere.
Email the offices of both of your senators asking them to vote NO on cloture for S. 1639. Web pages for all of the senators with email contact forms are listed here.
Email the White House. Let the President know you aren't happy with this give-away of our country. He may think Texas is part of Mexico like La Raza, but the rest of us don't.

Hoping-for-Defeat Harry
Senate Majority Leader Hogwash Harry Reid (D-Nev) said Thursday the war in Iraq is "lost." Heedless Harry Reid (D-Nev) said he told President Bush on Wednesday he thought the war could not be won through military force, although Haughty Harry (D-Nev) said the U.S. could still pursue political, economic and diplomatic means to surrender in Iraq."I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows - (know) this war is lost, with my help, and the surge is not accomplishing anything as we've successfully blocked funding, as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday," said Help-the-Enemy Harry Reid, (D-Nev). slightly adjusted for truth from Associated Press story on MyWay News
The Democrats. Constant in criticism, sniveling in surrender, but bold against the unborn.

Let's face it, Harry
When I look at the pinched and angry face of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) I see in every line and wrinkle all that's wrong with the United States. I'd like to blame it on boomeritis, but he was born the same year I was, and we're not boomers. But he's overstayed in the Senate, having been there over 20 years, enough to buy and sell a lot of government real estate.
1) First, we're an aging nation. Being old isn't bad, but we're tossing the common sense and wisdom that usually come with age to dance to the tunes of the 60s and 70s, and abandon our allies to please the war protesters and home-grown Communists who are trying to relive their glory days of smoking weed and frying their brains. Millions of Vietnamese were slaughtered or sent to camps for "reeducation" when we ran out on them, and now we want to leave the Iraqis to the same fate.
2) Second, Reid's mouth is perpetually pursed with the tortured and convoluted reasoning that if you tell your enemy your plans in advance, he'll be cooperative and just wait until you
3) Third, His beady, narrow, yet strangely puffy eyes, glint with his new found resolve to make a name for himself globally--an old American tradition, if we can believe all the anti-war left tells us about our motives.
4) Fourth, his skin is the ashen color of a man slowly dying from, not too much CO2, but from too much hatred for the Bush administration, so much so he's willing to not just sink the Iraqis, but American soldiers as well.
I know from reading left-wing bloggers that they aren't thrilled with him, but they should be. He be them.
