Peaceful biolabs in Ukraine--46 of them

"The United States has also worked collaboratively to improve Ukraine’s biological safety, security, and disease surveillance for both human and animal health, providing support to 46 peaceful Ukrainian laboratories, health facilities, and disease diagnostic sites over the last two decades. The collaborative programs have focused on improving public health and agricultural safety measures at the nexus of nonproliferation. " Defense Dept. Fact sheet on WMD reduction efforts. https://www.defense.gov/News/Releases/Release/Article/3057517/fact-sheet-on-wmd-threat-reduction-efforts-with-ukraine-russia-and-other-former/

Hmm. 46 biolabs. Wait. Weren't people called conspiracy theory dups for even suggesting U.S. was funding Ukrainian biolabs?

Remember when Tucker interviewed Tulsi Gabbard and they were accused of spreading Russian misinformation. I wonder what happens when "peaceful biolabs" get bombed? How will public health be improved?

If it took them this long to admit to 46, I wonder how many there actually are?

The Tulsi and Tucker are treasonous meme

When Mark Levine, Mitt Romney, Keith Olbermann and the ladies of the view all think it is treasonous and you/we are a Russian assets to question whether there are bio-labs in Ukraine and perhaps we should be cautious about no fly zones and expanding the war zone, then we have a truly divided nation. Democrats against Democrats and Republicans against Republicans; twitter mobs and Tik Tok influencers against long time investigators; Christians against Christians, and military veterans against people who never served a day; liberal minorities against illiberal minorities; and women who are ignoramuses against women who have done something with their lives--I tell you--it's makes my head spin. Especially when we're into our third year of the government lying to us about the source and funding of a virus that has locked us all up for two years! A government that says you must be silenced if you can't support the non-science that men are women; a government that says there was no flimflamming in the 2020 election; a government that sends a cackling airhead to Europe and Poland to further convince our allies of our weak, feckless administration. The world is indeed a global crazy town.

You now have the facts about this nomination

All we need are the facts.  We don’t have to call Fancy Nancy names like lunatic even though she’s gone on national television threatening to impeach the President for fulfilling his duty.

It’s a fact.  This has happened 29 times according to Ted Cruz.  Yes, and each time a president at the end of his term has done his duty, and the Senate did theirs.  Period. Barack Obama did it too—and he lost.  That also happens if the President and the Senate are not the same party.   Democrats and some Republican RINOs like Murkowski and Romney are just uninformed (and suffering from severe TDS) when they say this is unprecedented.  The RINOs are also stabbing their constituents in the back.  The courts, for some, are a bigger deal than abortion or the 2nd amendment. Honor your voters wishes.

It’s also a fact that Democrats are threatening to pack the court.

It’s also a fact that Democrats want to add 2 more states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. to their “quiver” to take over the country.

It’s also a fact that Democrats want to destroy the electoral college so only the major metropolitan areas, which they control (most burning from riots and looting) will have a say in governance.

It’s also a fact that the far left of the Democrat party is pushing the “green new deal.”  If you want to see how that works, take a look at California and Oregon burning from 40 years of bad environmental laws and regulations.

It’s also a fact that Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed in 44 days from nomination, less time than we have now before the election.

So now my friends, you silent lurkers who read my posts every day, you can face your wild eyed friends and family with information.  Let them do the screaming and yelling and the ad hominem attacks.

A Utah voter looks at Mitt Romney, Michael Smith guest blogger

My wife and I volunteered for the 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Winter Games and I got the chance to meet Mitt Romney. I thought he was a genuinely nice guy - but as I look back, I can see his rescue of the Games (and make no mistake, he was a big reason things got back on track) was more about raising his profile for his injection in to politics with his run for the governorship of Massachusetts.

Romney’s impeachment vote wasn’t courageous or virtuous. To do that is casting a vote when something is on the line, either personally or professionally. Neither was the case here. There was no possibility the Democrats were going to get 67 votes to convict and Romney knew he would be lauded for his “courage” by the Democrats and NeverTrumpers, so he took the opportunity to stick it to a political enemy and go down in the history books as the only Senator in history to vote for the conviction of a president from his own party.

Romney became the answer to a Jeopardy question but that’s about all.

Totally expected.

What bothers me more is the type of character one must be possessed by to run into the loving arms of a bunch of character assassins who tried, only eight years ago, to destroy him professionally, politically and personally.

Lest we forget, Romney was attacked for things he allegedly did in high school in 1965, something that the media implied may have led to a guy becoming homosexual and then committing suicide. He was accused by Obama surrogate Stephanie Cutter of literally giving cancer to Joe Soptic’s wife and then cutting off her insurance so she would die. Obama’s first spokesliar, Jay Carney, accused Romney of creating the Benghazi scandal. Romney’s Latter Day Saints religious beliefs were trashed by every major left wing news outlet in the country. The narrative about strapping Bo the family dog to the roof of their station wagon (for the kids out there, this was what we called a SUV back in the day) was the least of what was said.

I get forgiveness – but I don’t get the forgetfulness. Forgiveness does not erase the lengths the people praising Romney in 2020 went in 2012 to erase him as a threat to Obama, and the damage they did in the process.

Something tells me that Mr. Goodhair Nice Guy will say, do or be anything necessary to sit at the lunch table with the cool kids. He just wants to be friends.

Romney isn’t principled, he’s just another Rockefeller Republican who carpetbagged his way back to national politics. Romney is our Frankenstein, my fellow Utahns. We elected him.

Romney and creatures like him are why we got Trump. He creates the stark contrast between the Vichy movement in the GOP and those in the party willing to storm the beaches of Normandy to save Western Civilization.

For that, I owe him my thanks.

It’s going to get even more nasty—guest blogger Michael Smith

“Mittens and Low Energy Jeb opine about what a nasty person Trump is and that he did something that they would never, never do.

Know what they also never, ever did?

Win.

Romney didn't win the presidency from Obama because he mistakenly thought niceness counted. Spoiler alert - it didn't. No style points awarded.

Lil' Jebbie couldn't even gather enough lift to get the nomination, much less win the Oval Office.

Look at how badly Romney was treated when he ran. On the floor of the Senate, Harry Reid claimed Mitt hadn't paid taxes in a decade. Romney allegedly hazed a gay kid in 1965, hair raped him with a pair of scissors and caused his suicide 40 years later. Bain Capital, Romney's old firm, caused a woman's cancer and cut her insurance two years after he left, none of which happened but the Democrats still aimed he was responsible. He drove across the country with the family dog strapped to the roof of the family station wagon. He thought women should be kept in "binders".

Low Energy Jeb's neocon bro, Dub, was called a drunkard, a dunce, a racist, a warmonger, pretty much every name in the book. Cindy Sheehan camped outside his Texas home for 6 years.

And remember the differences in what Obama, Schumer and Pelosi said at John McCain's funeral as compared to what they said during the 2008 presidential campaign. Either McCain had a twin or those three stooges are rank hypocrites.

Romney and Lil' Jebbie are idiots to think this is just political and not personal - because it is both political AND personal. To a Democrat, there is no difference between the two.

And that is why you have to fight the way they fight.

General George S. Patton said that "No dumb bastard ever won a war by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb bastard die for his country."

I think we are about to see the nastiest election season of our lifetimes. Generally, the worst ever is thought to be the 1828 election contest between Andrew Jackson and John Quincy Adams - but 2020 is looking back and saying "Hold muh beer..."

The Democrats have set the rules of engagement and those ROE's are "weapons free".”

Mitt’s 2012 campaign, assessment from a friend

Those of us who supported Mitt Romney in 2012 are terribly disappointed in his bizarre behavior before he’s even sworn in as a Senator.  We didn’t need one more RINO Never Trumper in DC.

“Mitt’s campaign was lackluster and lacked sending a message that enticed people.  We went to one of his rallies here and it was pretty much boring—verbatim of all talks he did over and over.  And I was disappointed that there was no explanation why conservatism is priceless.  Now I know.  He’s mostly Democrat.  Flakey.  The two of them need to have head adjustments.  Mitt busy being virtuous.  Sometimes the country needs bombastic.  Sorry Mitt.  You don’t get it.  Waiting to see what he intends to accomplish by his mere appearance in the Washington fray.  You got it.  I’m irritated.  I hope he learns something of value in his journey. “

Mitt Romney’s jealous temper tantrum

It's a shame about Romney (Flake 2.0). He lost to the most narcissistic, race baiting president ever, who made us a weak laughing stock around the world.  Mitt was Mr. Nice Guy. He's now attacking the only Republican who could win against the entrenched leftist culture.  Romney is finally showing some spirit and fight which he didn't have in 2012, but it's 6 years too late

Remember when Trump was selecting his future cabinet in Trump Tower and Romney was called in.  Not sure what the interview was for, but apparently he didn’t make the cut.  Holds grudges like a woman.

The leftist news cycle--Trump all the time

The media are giving us 24/7 anti-Trump stories--that's so you'll see/hear if you only watch or hear it a few minutes, or several hours. But remember Romney? Probably the most ethical, moral man ever nominated? They actually told over and over a story about his dog in a carrier! One ad played again and again in Ohio was about a man whose wife had died years after one of them lost a job in a company that had Romney investments. One bi-racial newscaster even criticized his family for their bi-racial adopted grand child! And since he was a Mormon, oh, the stories of his grandfather moving to Mexico.  Sort of another "birther" smear.

No, the media are over the cliff left and if you think it's just Trump you weren't watching in 2012. In 2008 they did their best to smear war hero John McCain, and then switched to his running mate Sarah Palin to hate on as an easier target since she had no coat tails of husband or father in Washington. Horror of horrors--she had allowed her special needs child to live, unthinkable for the Marxist Feminists of the Democrat base (Hillary calls them the Red Army, btw). If you are voting Democrat in 2016, you had no choice in your candidate--Hillary worked with the media to get Sanders out of the picture.  And although Trump beat a very large field, the media also controlled that since it was well known even among her campaign staff (revealed in Wikileaks) Hillary couldn't beat any of the outstanding, younger Republicans who threw their hats in the ring.

"But what’s a Republican to do? Last cycle, we nominated the ultimate Boy Scout: Mitt Romney. Whatever you think of Romney from a policy perspective, he is as admirable a man as you will ever meet. To find a presidential candidate of better moral character, you probably have to go back to Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Romney never said a rude word about a woman in his life. . .The Washington Post made a front page story of the fact that 50 years earlier, when he was in high school, he and others had cut a classmate’s hair. Make America Great Again

Our investigative journalists did nothing to correct Obama's bio in his publisher's guide of 1991 that stated he was born in Kenya.  Back in the old days, that gave a young author a lot of gravitas.  It was corrected in 2007, around the time he decided to run for president. That doesn't mean he was born in Kenya; just that it was a convenient lie that came back to bite him.  A bit like Elizabeth Warren's heritage as an American Indian.  Some glamor for her being a minority--which she wasn't.

But our sharp eyed press did discover Mitt Romney's great-grandfather was a polygamist who had fled to Mexico to protect his family, although they said little about Obama's polygamist father who had fled his family responsibilities leaving a pregnant teenager and gone back to Africa.

Someone, or maybe it was social media, or maybe "real" press corps, was outraged that the Romney's dog traveled in a carrier outside of the car many years ago. That was an important story in the 2012 election.

Let's make America great again with the kind of in depth discovery we've come to expect from our media giants. NOT.

Hillary calls Trump supporters a Basket of Deplorables

Remember how the left, the Democrats, the Media (but I repeat myself) jumped all over Romney for saying 47% of the nation was dependent in some form on the government and didn't pay income tax? What he said was true; but they crucified him for it. Now we've got #BasketofDeplorables sort of what Democrats believed about blacks in the 19th century, or the Jim Crow era, or what they think of the unborn to day. Unworthy people. Not so smart people. Poor people. And she'll get away with it. Romney meant he would never change the minds of 47% because they believed the government should take care of them so he wasn't designing his campaign for them. Leftists sliced and diced this showing that many who don't pay income tax do file taxes, and do work. True, but they don't pay income tax, which is exactly what he said. Then they said, well, a lot of these people are Republicans. Also true, but he was still right. Now, how will they redeem us deplorables? By saying what she said was true.

In politics, the truth can hurt you

When the left abused Romney for saying 47% of Americans don't pay federal income tax when explaining to donors why tax issues don't matter much, he was absolutely right.  It was a sound bite and he didn't give them a dissertation on why that is true. It's not a criticism, it's a fact, and it has to do with tax law, age of our population, the recession, etc. Here's some good information on how both parties have worked to make that possible. And it's still true today--revising tax laws still don't matter to many voters, but Bernie the Socialist will claim it does. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonkblog/wp/2012/09/18/who-doesnt-pay-taxes-in-charts/

Romney and Palin

Mitt Romney was so right; Obama ridiculed him and the main stream press yukked it up.  Palin was right in 2008 and the press ridiculed her.

"Gov. Romney, I'm glad you recognize al-Qaeda is a threat, because a few months ago when you were asked what is the biggest geopolitical group facing America, you said Russia — not al-Qaeda. And the 1980's are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back — because the Cold War has been over for 20 years. But Governor, when it comes to our foreign policy, you seem to want to import the foreign policies of the 1980's, just like the social policy of the 1950's, and the economic policies of the 1920's."  Barack Obama

Notice Obama skipped the failed socialist policies of FDR in the 30s which extended the Great Depression in that snarky comment. And what social policy of the 50s was he referring to? When Ike wanted to desegregate the schools and Democrats fought him? And the 1920s was an era of unprecedented economic prosperity. The foreign policy of the 80s, the President (Reagan) along with the Pope and Prime Minister led to the collapse of the USSR in 1991. But these victories don't last forever, Mr. President. Someone has to show leadership.

"Yes, I could see this one from Alaska," Palin posted on Facebook, saying she said "told-ya-so" in the case of her "accurate prediction [in 2008 campaign]  being derided as 'an extremely far-fetched scenario' by the 'high-brow' Foreign Policy magazine. (that guy is now editor of Politico)

I don’t want another (failed) military involvement, but I’m just sick that Obama looks so weak and pathetic. Even if I think he is, I’d like the world to see him differently.

Who’s reckless now?

"Wrong and reckless leadership all over the map." No, Obama wasn't describing himself, but Gov. Romney who called Russia a "geo-political foe" just about a year ago.  Putin has since proved Romney right, and Obama recklessly wrong.  Romney reminded Obama that attacking him wasn't an agenda.  (Neither is attacking Bush or the GOP, but it seems to work for keeping his supporters.) And Romney went on to say he opposed direct U.S. military involvement in the efforts to topple Syrian President Bashir Assad, which at the time was also Obama's position (although we can't be sure).

Christians shot themselves in the foot

Romney would have won if Christians had not stayed home on November 6. Conservatives, many of whom are evangelical Christians, tend to sit on their hands, and many weren't thrilled about a Mormon as their candidate. So if we need to put some blame out there, it's on us because we didn't talk to or convince our neighbors and friends that we needed a pro-life, moral man of character in the White House.  I did my part.  And you?

A tiny turnout in tiny Rushville

“Last night Joe Biden held a rally at Rushville Middle School. Only 800 people showed up.

But outside was a different story. Local farmers organized a flash tractor and crane protest across the street from the middle school. It took them only 24 hours to organize the counter rally.

HUNDREDS of Romney supporters turned out!”

Many newspapers endorsing Romney

A few people still read newspapers, and more and more are recommending a change. They probably want their advertisers to stay in business. Should have thought of that in 2008 because he told us who he was and what he believed and what he intended to do.

76273_10151179431637740_1613728935_n[1]

The New York Daily News endorses Mitt Romney and paints a very dreary picture of the Obama years. "The trend over the Obama years: Goodbye to middle- and high-income jobs in New York City; hello to positions that pay less than $45,000 a year." Sad to read. Does no one today learn about the failed policies of FDR and how the Depression just kept recycling each time it looked like recovery was on the horizon?

http://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/choice-america-future-mitt-romney-article-1.1196299

The Wisconsin State Journal picks Romney. I really disagree with them that the sloganeering, scowling, stammering Obama is more likeable and an inspiring speaker, but that misunderstanding must have been what threw them off in 2008. What could possibly be inspiring about a mish mash of socialism and sharia?

Will update as I find them.

The ‘Las Vegas Review-Journal’ blasted Pres. Obama in a blistering editorial about the Benghazi attacks in which four Americans died, calling him an “unworthy commander-in-chief.”
“The Obama admin. sat by doing nothing for seven hours that night, ignoring calls to dispatch help from our bases in Italy, less than two hours away,” the editorial said. . . (lists numerous other faults and concludes) Mitt Romney is moral, capable and responsible man. Just this once, it's time to hold Barack Obama to his word. Maybe we can all do something about that, come Tuesday.

Long Island Newsday:  Had Barack Obama done the job of president with the same passion and vision he displayed in seeking it, he would likely deserve another term. He did not.

Media favors Obama—what a surprise!

MSNBC’s coverage of Mitt Romney was far more negative than Fox News’ coverage of President Barack Obama during the period of Aug. 27 through Oct. 21, according to a study from Pew Research Center.

During that time, 71 percent of MSNBC's coverage of Romney was negative, compared to 46 percent negative coverage of Obama by Fox. The News Corp. network also beat MSNBC on the positive side. Fox gave Obama 6 percent positive coverage, while MSNBC gave Romney only 3 percent positive coverage.

Overall, the mainstream media evidenced a bias toward Obama, the study shows. Coverage of Obama was 19 percent positive, 30 percent negative, and 51 percent mixed. For Romney, the totals were 15 percent positive, 38 percent negative, and 47 percent mixed.

On the final debate Monday evening

We were in Indianapolis visiting family, all of whom are on the same page politically, so we had a lot of company and I even stayed up to watch the analysis, which I usually don’t do.  I don’t like having people tell me what I just watched and listened to.  But this was different.  All of us were baffled by some of Romney’s responses either to Obama or the moderator.  However, after listening to people who do this for a living, it made a little more sense.

It wasn’t Romney’s job at this point to win a debate—all he needed to do was hold his own (rising in the polls every day) and keep Obama from trying to look good.  And in that he succeeded.  Hugely.  Obama was childish, petulant, aggressive and argumentative, and Romney was the grown up, with a sense of humor, some humility, and even conceded several places that Obama was doing the right thing (which shocked everyone).  Obama played to his base; Romney to the entire country.

In other areas, like social media--I don't tweet. But I did notice the national news sources pay attention, and the analysis shows terrible racism and race hatred on the part of Obama voters/supporters. This is a very divisive president and his social media supporters demonstrate that.  Democrats have historically divided Americans into voting blocks—men against women; blacks against browns; white rich men against poor white men; those on the plantation against those living free and earning more.  But Obama being a community organizer and from Chicago, really has exploded this system.  Even his big celeb fund raisers say awful things on their tweets.  A bunch of Twits.

In the debate Obama was dropping some code to his base about the 80's (Reagan), 50's (Eisenhower) and 20s (Coolidge). Not bad company for Romney. Those were powerful, successful years for our nation, years of strength and peace, great movement for minorities and poor.  But Obama never learned that in school, he only learned the revised version, the “progressive” version of American history.  And although the debate was supposed to be on foreign policy, Romney kept bring everything back to the economy (on Cherry Lake Drive we were yelling about that, too).  Obama played into his hands. Yes, maybe you need to look closer at Romney.

We (watching the debate) were all shocked that Romney didn’t lay him out flat on Libya, because each day gets worse and worse. But by skirting the issue, he gave Obama no platform to continue lying.  Now it has come out that our brave, concerned President was watching the terror in real time,  then went to bed to rest up for a busy campaign event with Beyonce and Jay-Z while our embassy was under attack and no reinforcement were ordered by him.  All Romney needs to do to attack Obama on Libya is let people read the newspaper (although that won’t convince his staunchest followers).
