Kamala Harris was supposed to be there

Donald Trump comes into a hostile environment with bad equipment and poor sound. President Trump showed up and Kamala Harris didn't. She can't face an audience--will probably campaign from the basement just as her mentor, Joe Biden, did in 2020. I heard the entire Q & A between Trump and the ABC host. She lied about him from the get-go and he was gracious and honest after he called her on her rudeness. But he held his ground, made his points, and she on behalf of black journalists looked rude, weak and foolish.

 
He absolutely did not attack Kamala for her race. I heard every word. She threw out a gotcha question on DEI and he asked for a definition, but got no answer. So, he said when he first became aware of Kamala Harris he thought she was an Indian-American, because that's how her election to the Senate was described--not by him, but by the media. It was called historic! You can watch the videos! When it was to her advantage, she "became black." So, his detractors say calling her an Indian-American is insulting? Oh my, Democrats are such racists!

I'm a huge fan of Charles Craigmile's theology classes, and have followed him about 10 years now.  I'm usually a little behind. I just found the 2023 list of classes, but haven't watched them yet.  I wish St. Mary's would put the classes on a podcast, although he also has good visuals.

Whether you're a lawyer, doctor, rap artist, biologist, athlete, journalist, farmer, teacher or librarian, someone in your profession who believes the historical, moral and ethical standards of the past has tried to speak out or report to the chain of command or get published about a current medical procedure, now in its 4th iteration.

 
They are not the majority; they may be a very small voice. But they are in ALL professions, all of which have codes and standards about truth, service and integrity. That they are everywhere should tell you something. They've been verbally abused, had promotions denied, and lost friends and colleagues; their editors have reassigned them to the back page or their location to Po-dunk; they can't get published or their research doesn't appear in peer reviewed journals; they are dishonorably discharged, or lost access to Twitter, FB, YouTube or Google; they've requested reassignment to different medical rounds and been denied. They may also be the ones who won't change pronouns, who resist the CRT workshops and roll their eyes at more global demands to believe a new green religion.

If your employer fires or muffles those in your profession who refuse, and keep only those who bend the knee and submit, then what have you got? People who won't take risks, who won't ask questions, who won't point out the Emperor has no clothes. A submissive nation. No one needs to fire a shot to conquer that nation. We're already in chains.

This is from the University of Nebraska Medical Center: "The spike protein is unique to SARS-CoV-2 – it doesn't look like other proteins your body makes. So antibodies created against the spike protein won't harm your body, they will only target coronavirus."

Let's take a careful look at this statement, which can't be proven true or false since it hasn't been around long enough to be tested. mRNA was developed in the 90s; this therapy in 2020. Whether you're a Christian like me and believe that God has created us with what we need to treat or stop diseases (mRNA isn't a vaccine which introduces a small amount of the bacteria or virus to assist your body in developing a defense you already have) or you're another religion or not religious at all and believe you've evolved over a billion years from sludge, you know "it doesn't look like other proteins your body makes" sounds like it doesn't belong there. Your civil liberties shouldn't be violated and the first amendment and all our laws dealing with health and treatments shouldn't be tossed out if you object to this treatment.

Just about everything we were told in Spring 2020 about transmission and protection of the mRNA treatment have been proven false but there are still rules and mandates and people continue to be punished. Facts we already knew in 2020--children were at almost no risk and young adults had low risk--have been tossed out the window with no apology or explanation.

YouTube channels--addictive time wasters

Do you ever watch the YouTube channels? Today I wasted a huge amount of time watching 3 videos of Top Notch Lawn Care. Yup. Watched a guy cleaning up the worst yards and lawns you've ever seen. Thousands of viewers and many comments. It was sort of satisfying after all the war footage and the hopeless mess our politicians get us into. As my mom who remodeled her parents' farm home as a religious retreat center used to say, "I can't save the world but I can save 4 acres." I think that must be how this guy believes.

Google owns us

Thirty-five years ago, I was librarian of the Veterinary Medicine Library at Ohio State. A great job. By 1991-92 we were just learning about a strange thing called the WWW. Went to workshops where it was demonstrated, learned to write html and I began showing my students. I still remember the day in the late 90s another veterinary medicine librarian, I think she was at the University of Tennessee, said she'd found something new she liked better than Yahoo and I should try it. Google. Today Google owns us. Master of surveillance and manipulation. Now there are about 2 billion websites. Big Tech is more powerful than the President of the United States, the Congress, and the Supreme Court. What looked like freedom is now a prison and even if they opened the doors, no one would leave.

Robert Epstein talks with Joe Rogan about Big Tech

I'm listening to Dr. Robert Epstein on Joe Rogan's podcast. Remember, Rogan is the latest the Left is telling you to hate. He had the audacity to tell his audience (much bigger than CNN's) to use inexpensive therapeutics for the virus. Epstein is very outspoken on surveillance and manipulation--S and M in Geek talk. He says Google is the worst, and never use Android. Dump those listening devices like Alexa. Google’s search engine he says on another site is the most aggressive spying tool ever invented — funded from the outset by the NSA and the CIA to identify people who are a threat to national security. Google records every search you conduct, and your Google profile contains a complete history of every search you ever conducted — even those sketchy ones! Worse still, he says, Google’s search engine is also the most powerful mind control device ever devised; it shifts the opinions of millions of people around the world every day without them knowing it."

Anyway, on January 21 he was interviewed by Joe Rogan (he seemed to be everywhere in 2019 and 2020). https://jrelibrary.com/1768-dr-robert-epstein/ He's a Democrat, never voted for Trump, but knows the elections are manipulated. Interesting listening about who/what is controlling us. He recommends Brave.com as your browser to not leave a trace. Another article I read said he recommended Startpage.com (no tracking). I use Duck Duck Go, which Rogan prefers to Google because it doesn't push sites to the top so you don't look further.

However, Epstein says Duck Duck Go really doesn't crawl the internet, but looks at data bases. He prefers Brave. There are no laws or courts that can control Google according to Epstein. Google blocks access to millions of sites every day, and there are no laws or regulations to stop it. Few congress people understand--but Cruz totally understands. How do you fight something that has $150 Billion in cash, makes political contributions, and can manipulate elections?

Epstein says Windows 10 is a tracking tool; it's very hard to get around it. Surveillance is just soooo easy and so profitable. He brings up the last speech of President Eisenhower--the military industrial complex reference most remember. But what many have forgotten, he also warned of the rise of a technological elite that could control public policy without anyone knowing. And that was 1961! Those people are now in control, and Google is the most aggressive and dangerous. The Facebook model is to create dissension and chaos because it makes more money. YouTube research by his team finds 70% of the videos are suggested by their "up next" algorithm.

Biden and buddies in Google--ban virus information

Google owns YouTube, so by analogy, owns President Biden. This is a clear definition of Fascism. Where government uses private businesses to control its citizens. It's definitely not sending mean tweets or making deals with Israel or asking Mexico to keep illegals behind the border which some of my Democrat friends got hysterical about and drew moustaches on cartoons of Trump . While allowing some of our most serious enemies abroad, and vicious Leftists who claim to be Americans to keep a platform to spew lies and violence, YouTube has removed 130,000 videos which they claim are "misinformation" about vaccines. Revolutions and the Bible - Os Guinness

At the 2020 Wilberforce Week-end (named for William Wilberforce, famous abolitionist) sponsored by the Colson Center), Os Guinness discusses the deep divisions in modern America. The roots go back to the 5 revolutions of the modern era--England (1642), United States (1776), France (1789), Russia (1917) and China (1949). The first two were Biblical (Exodus), and the last three were anti-Biblical. The French Revolution was based in atheism and was extremely anti-church. Today our current "revolutionaries" follow the French model. Utopian. The American Revolution is based on the idea that mankind is sinful. Utopianism is/was disastrous. It is always filled with violence and force. Our revolution comes from the idea of Covenant, a Hebrew idea. The Constitution is freely chosen consent, a morally binding pledge. It's reciprocal. Therefore it includes the idea of freedom, truth and love. Today's revolutionaries must use the idea of victimhood--wrong answered by revenge--so the feud continues. The Biblical way includes repentance and forgiveness, freedom from the past and therefore freedom in the future. Guinness is a European, an immigrant. If America turns from true freedom, he says, it will be a disaster for the world.

What is patriotism? Ask a Hungarian

I've been spending some hours away from American cable TV and watching Israeli i24 channel which has excellent international coverage, particularly of middle east and some Africa and Europe. Learned about the Moroccan delegation visiting Israel. Interesting to watch Covid coverage on the international scene. Every nation is having 2nd and 3rd waves, no one is blaming Trump like our TDS Democrats, and everyone is vaccinating. I think Israel will win that race for highest and fastest rate vaccinated. Israel's cases are soaring as are South Africa. Everyone complains about their young adults not taking precautions. It seems to be party time in South Africa. Not much difference between blacks and whites--both are being irresponsible according to the health official interviewed. I watched a 30 minute interview of the Hungarian foreign minister who seems to be a rising star in his early 40s; he's called "right wing." So I listened to see if that meant he was a Trump supporting white supremacist. No. It means he believes Hungary has a right to control its own borders; support for Christian values; strong economic investment environment; saving Hungary's western cultural heritage; standing up to the Leftists; being suspicious of Iran's motives; a positive relationship with Israel and being watchful of Turkey's motives and encroachment and loving his country. He wants mutual respect from Biden--fat chance, since Biden is soft on Iran and China.


Also, one of the Chinese "citizen-journalists" (I think that is another term for blogging or tweeting) who blew the whistle on the Chinese virus is getting 4 years in prison. Now, in the U.S. not since Obama have any journalists gone to jail, but there is a Facebook and YouTube jail for anyone who blows the whistle on the news media's monopoly on the virus narrative. Things you didn't need to know about the movie Hoosiers

 My husband was a Hoosier in high school (Arsenal Technical High School) and knew well the story about little Milan High school winning the state championship in basketball in 1954.  In those days all schools competed against each other, not just schools their own size. 1954 State Champions - Milan Indians - Milan 1954 Museum (milan54.org)  So when the movie Hoosiers came out in 1987, we of course had to see it, and have watched it many times.  It also makes it more interesting that Duke Low, one of Bob's high school buddies has a small part in it.  It goes by so fast, I can never catch it, however.  Duke has been active in community theater most of his adult life and we see him at reunions.

"A Million Movies" is a series narrated by Jeff Terrel and if you are even just an ordinary, once a year movie goer, you'll enjoy the behind the scenes peek at the movies you've forgotten. My son just graduated high school and he and I love the movie. The main gym is a tourist attraction in Knightstown, IN. One of the playoff games’ gym is at Saint Phillip Neri School, in Indianapolis. This gym has not been preserved well. Butler field house, where the state championship was filmed, is exceptional, and the Cafe was in New Richmond, Indiana. Another playoff gym is in Lebanon, Indiana. That gym is part of a senior living facility. The old Hugh school has been converted, and other living corridors have been constructed. If it had not for the head maintenance man, we would not had been able to play on it. This gentleman, and everyone we met in Indiana, were unbelievably kind and welcoming to their Texas visitors. It was so cool to visit those sites."

I listen to Gorka occasionally 3-5 p.m. on talk radio 98.9 FM in Columbus.  His parents fled Hungary due to Communism, so he was raised in England, and is now an American citizen. He campaigned for the president, and was briefly in the Trump Administration, and is still very loyal. I think he’s had his show about 2 years, having replaced Michael Medved in that spot. He interviews some interesting guests and also takes calls, although he’s not very patient with anyone who doesn’t have his conservative, pro-Trump views.

What is happening in our country?

Driving to the fitness center today I heard a caller to a local radio (610 a.m.) show say she'd hired a teen to do some work (didn't say what--I assume yard work or repair) and discovered he didn't know how to use a ruler. She showed him a ruler and a tape measure, and he didn't know what to do with the numbers. She also said Columbus, OH school board had removed all American flags from classrooms. I'm not in the Columbus district so I’ve never heard.  She said the American Legion and VFW were planning to replace them because no one knew where they had been stored. Her final comment on public education supported by citizens in Columbus was that during the 2016 election cycle neighborhood children told her she shouldn't vote for Trump because their teacher told them they would lose their welfare. I asked about this on Facebook, and one Columbus teacher said she had a flag in her classroom, but another friend had this shocking comment.

Brian responded:  “I posted 57 educational videos to YouTube last month, all videos are for my business and all open with and have thumbnails that have the American Flag on them. We had zero copyright violations, and broke no community standards with content. Our account was shut down permanently they cited the fact the videos all have the American flag on them as hate speech. I appealed the ruling and lost. This is your country in 2019.”

This is a lovely video made by a couple who have an RV channel on YouTube.  They did a great story about Lakeside and were here during the Marilyn McCoo-Billy Davis Show.  Street scenes are less populated since most families have gone home for the school year.  More emphasis on the camp ground than most things I see—it’s not easy to get space there.  About 17 minutes.

Beyond Burger—the plant based burger

We tried this last night. Ours wasn't as expensive as what this YouTuber says—we paid $3.99 for 8 oz. John thinks they taste good--I'd say, tastes "OK," my husband said, “Don't do this again.” Left a lot of residue in the pan even with a spray. But if you're desperate for a burger experience--it's made with pea protein isolate, canola oil and coconut oil. We didn't add cheese or catsup or pickles. I think he was tasting memories.

We both felt uncomfortable later in the evening. But for people who don't want/tolerate beef, it's pretty close. . . especially if you add cheese, pickles, lettuce, sauce and can only taste that. I bought mine at Marc's.

As Canada goes, so goes the U.S.?

There are a number of excellent Canadian conservatives that have done well with YouTube channels. Jordan Peterson, Stefan Molyneux, Gad Saad, Janice Fiamengo, Rick Mehta. I think they are being silenced by Big Tech.

Janice Fiamengo is a favorite of mine—I haven’t found much recent on her YouTube channels. She has no charisma and a voice that could put you to sleep, but she's delightfully smart and perceptive. The first is an interview on Rubin Report, but he's being censored, too. Don't know how long we'll be able to watch him. Even being gay didn't protect him. Having unapproved thoughts by Left Mafia can seriously impact your income on the internet.  If you have sons, brothers, boyfriend or husband, look out. Their jobs and reputations could be destroyed and no one will protect them.
