Biden's folly--IX changes

Proof that Joe Biden hates women
Trump reversed many of the anti-woman regulations (never voted on by Congress) developed by Obama's swamp team around Title IX. It puts men in women's private spaces--locker rooms, bathrooms, clubs, prisons, etc. If there were no other reason to vote for Trump, this would be it.

Stumping Artificial Intelligence with a question about bad behavior at Harvard
My Question: "Why are Gay, Charleston, and Greene still employed at Harvard?"
Copilot hesitated, not knowing if it were politically safe to answer. Then after a wait, it wrote timidly as it is programmed to do for anything woke or DEI:
"There have been several allegations of plagiarism against Claudine Gay, Sherri A. Charleston, and an individual named Greene at Harvard University.
Claudine Gay, the former University President, resigned on Jan. 2, 2024, following a plagiarism scandal (4).
Sherri A. Charleston, Harvard’s Chief Diversity Officer, was accused of plagiarizing passages in multiple academic papers (3).
Greene, who handles Title IX complaints at the Extension School, was also accused of plagiarism(2). [Copilot didn't know her first name, but I looked it up and it is Shirley.]
Despite these allegations, it’s important to note that accusations of plagiarism are serious and typically require thorough investigation by the institution before any action is taken. The continued employment of these individuals could be due to a variety of reasons, including ongoing investigations, the nature of the allegations, or other factors not publicly disclosed. It’s also worth noting that employment decisions are typically confidential and made by the institution based on a variety of factors (1, 2, 3).

Hysteria in Academe--ASA meeting
"Attacks on public education"= denying porn to 1st graders
"racial justice" = racist attacks on whites and Asians are OK
"future of Democracy" = seeking more government control
"As the discussions over attacks on public education, racial
justice, and the future of democracy continue to dominate the American
conversation, thousands of sociologists whose work provides insights on these
and other vital topics will meet at the American Sociological Association’s
118th Annual Meeting, August 17-21, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Approximately
600 sessions featuring over 3,000 research papers are open to the press.
From race and racism to mental health, from climate control and environmental
policy issues to artificial intelligence, sociologists are investigating and
reporting on the most sensitive problems confronting American society. This
year’s theme, “The Educative Power of Sociology,” shows how sociology’s
educative power exists within its ability to convey knowledge and research
critically, and to even offer solutions and interventions to social problems,
from classrooms to boardrooms, individuals and families to communities,
institutions to nation-states, and social movements to social change and
justice. Given the diverse range of topics that will be covered, the ASA Annual
Meeting will provide a wealth of information for journalists assigned to nearly
any beat.
Session highlights include:
Attacks on Public Education and Strategies of Resistance to Protect the Public
Sphere. This session is focused on the broad attacks on public schooling,
including the push to privatize public education, attack anti-racist curricula,
and expand charter schools or create separate school districts. Panelists will
discuss different strategies of attacking public education playing out as part
of the general critique of public institutions and actors along with strategies
of resistance and efforts to protect a robust public sphere.
Participants: Amanda Evelyn Lewis, Noliwe Rooks, Jack Schneider, Julian Vasquez
Heilig, and John B. Diamond
White Rage, White Apathy, White Zeal: Understanding White Responses to Calls
for Racial Justice. White Americans have responded to calls for racial justice
in myriad, emotionally embodied ways. What shapes white people’s racialized
responses to demands for racial justice, such as those arising from the
Movement for Black Lives? Why do some white people become invested in fighting
against critical race theory, while the majority remain practically
indifferent? Finally, what compels some white people to “show up for racial
justice,” in mind, body and spirit? This panel speaks to these questions.
Participants: Jennifer C. Mueller, Kim Ebert, Amanda Evelyn Lewis, Sarah H.
Diefendorf, and Biko Mandela Gray
The Future of Democracy: A Conversation on the Supreme Court, Education, Civil
Rights, and Society with Tressie McMillan Cottom and Melissa Murray, moderated
by Dan Hirschman (live streaming available). Legal scholar, MSNBC contributor,
and former interim dean of the University of California Berkeley School of Law,
Melissa Murray, and sociologist Tressie Cottom will dialogue about the
implications for society and research of the recent Supreme Court decisions on
higher education, reproductive choice, civil rights and liberties and LGBTQ+
equality.
Participants: Prudence L. Carter, Daniel Hirschman, Tressie Cottom, and Melissa

Victor Davis Hanson on 10 ways Biden is causing chaos
"1) Joe Biden abruptly pulled all U.S. troops from Afghanistan. He left behind to the Taliban hundreds of Americans and thousands of pro-American Afghans. Biden abandoned billions of dollars in U.S. equipment, the largest air base in central Asia—recently retrofitted at a cost of $300 million—and a $1 billion embassy. Our government called such a debacle a success. The world disagreed and saw only humiliation.
2) The Biden Administration allowed a Chinese high-altitude spy balloon to traverse the continental United States, spying on key American military installations. The Chinese were defiant when caught and offered no apologies. In response, the Pentagon and the administration simply lied about the extent that China had surveilled top-secret sites.
3) In March 2021, at an Anchorage, Alaska mini-summit, Chinese diplomats unleashed a relentless barrage at their stunned and mostly silent American counterparts. They lectured the timid Biden Administration diplomats about American toxicity and hypocrisy. And they have defiantly refused to explain why and how their virology lab birthed the COVID virus that has killed tens of millions worldwide.
4) In June 2021, in response to Russian cyber-attacks against the United States, Biden meekly asked Putin to at least make off-limits certain critical American infrastructure.
5) When asked what he would do if Russia invaded Ukraine, Biden replied that the reaction would depend on whether the Russians conducted a “minor incursion.”
6) Between 2021 and 2022, Joe Biden serially insulted and bragged that he would not meet Muhammad bin Salman, the de facto ruler of Saudi Arabia, and one of our oldest and most valuable allies in the Middle East.
7) For much of 2021, the Biden Administration made it known that it was eager and ready to offer concessions to re-enter the dangerous Iran nuclear deal—at a time when Iran has joined China and Russia in a new geostrategic partnership.
8) Almost immediately upon inauguration, the administration moved the United States away from Israel, restored financial aid to radical Palestinians, and both publicly and privately alienated the current Netanyahu government.
9) In serial fashion, Biden stopped all construction on the border wall and opened the border. He made it known that illegal aliens were welcome to enter the United States unlawfully. Some 6-7 million did. He reinstated “catch and release.” And he did nothing about the Mexican cartel importation of fentanyl that has recently killed over 100,000 Americans per year.
10) In the last two years, the Pentagon has embarked on a woke agenda. The army is short by 15,000 in its annual recruitment quota. The defense budget has not kept up with inflation. One of the greatest intelligence leaks in U.S. history just occurred from the Pentagon.
The Pentagon refused to admit culpability and misled the country about Afghanistan and the Chinese spy balloon flight. The current chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff called his Chinese communist counterpart and head of the People’s Liberation Army to advise him that the U.S. military would warn the Chinese if it determined an order from its commander-in-chief Trump was inappropriate.
This list of these self-inflicted disasters could be easily expanded.
But the examples explain well enough why our emboldened enemies do not fear us, our triangulating allies judge us unreliable, and calculating neutrals assume America is in descent and too dangerous to join.
Yet without America, the result is a new Chinese order in which, to quote the historian Thucydides, “the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must.”"

The Great Awokening, Lecture 7
https://youtu.be/7AU9HPzsmCM In Lecture 1, Dr. Petrusek identifies the ideological components that constitute progressivism and examines what makes contemporary progressive ideology attractive. He also demonstrates how progressivism both appropriates and distorts competing political theories—and yokes those distortions into the service of a particular group’s self-interest.

R-E-S-P-E-C-T
I used to have a lot of respect for "scientists." They were the real deal. I was an Agriculture librarian for several years, and a Veterinary Medicine Librarian for 14. I loved to walk across the street and see what was going on in the vet hospital. None of the fake squishy stuff we in the "social sciences" researched and wrote about. Between the woke nonsense and the pandemic locked lips, that admiration is mostly gone--unless the doctor graduated before 1985. It's all about D.I.E. now, and they can't say a word about the best candidate NOT being selected, or the ridiculous question on forms so they don't trigger anyone. Big Tech, Big Pharma, Big Gov, and U. of Biggest have shut them up. The ultimate lockdown. Where else will the grants come from--the grants of which 60% goes to the university and department? And how will you find a trans, black, disabled woman to be on the research team? It was always hard to go against the grain--like if you had a different theory about Alzheimer's, but couldn't get anyone at NIH or NSF to take the risk. But now? Good luck if you're white and male--might as well go into plumbing with Dad rather than waste 8 years and thousands of dollars. It would be like being the best female swimmer in your school, but the college scholarship goes to the male who joined the team at 15 when he discovered he was feeling a little bit female--about the same time he couldn't place on the men's team. That's what a science career is now.

Wokeism and abortion in the miliary
And yes, we tax payers paid for this, so how could the results have been any different? "This research was sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and conducted within the Forces and Resources Policy Center of the RAND National Security Research Division (NSRD), which operates the RAND National Defense Research Institute (NDRI), a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) sponsored by the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Joint Staff, the Unified Combatant Commands, the Navy, the Marine Corps, the defense agencies, and the defense intelligence enterprise." They admit at the beginning of the study that they deliberately made the military dependent on female recruits. 4 women with interests in "gender studies" diversity and inclusion and advanced degrees in psychology, sociology and Spanish are the authors.

Covid and Wokeism
"It’s odd that these two major forces have hit us at the same time. They’re mirror opposites. The fear of dying from COVID makes us small and humble and deeply grateful just to be alive.
Wokeism nurtures the opposite of gratitude. We feel cocky, entitled and intolerant. Anyone who offends us must be attacked, if not cancelled. Any speaker who will offend us must be stopped. We have a right to not be exposed to anything that might hurt our feelings or make us feel “unsafe.” " . . .
"Wokeism is a symptom of modern decadence, when maximum convenience and comfort trigger a nostalgia for epic struggles and dramatic causes. Absent these historic movements of yesteryear, the woke must come up with endless grievances to gain power and boost their self-esteem. That’s why they can’t stand to recognize real progress—it undermines their grievance-obsessed narrative.
A key tenet of wokeism is to preach inclusion and diversity, but with a crucial catch: Wokeism scrupulously excludes ideological diversity, which would be too messy. We’re inclusive in all ways, in other words, except when it comes to your opinions.
COVID is truly all-inclusive. It comes after all of us. It’s straightforward. It wants to enter our bodies and contaminate our cells. . . wokeism contaminates our souls. "

Sex is not gender
I'd translate this as "God made sex, and man (specifically left leaning, European males with PhDs working in the social sciences) made gender." By now, you know more about women than Justice elect Jackson. (She is married to a white physician and has two beautiful bi-racial daughters, at least that's apparent.)
In God's plan, each person has as many as 30-40 trillion cells, and each cell has a sex. Men and women should not be competing for the same drugs in disease, nor the same medals in athletics. The amount of oxygen transported to your body parts depends on your red blood cell count and men have many more than women. Diseases that affect the brain, the gut, the skin, the skeleton, etc. act very differently in men and women. Women will be the ones hurt most in my opinion because in the transagenda, they are made infertile, there's no data on the long term effects of the hormones, healthy body parts are amputated and drugs must be taken. Even if they trick the eye to ignore sexual dimorphism and keep their reproductive organs, they aren't men at the cellular level.
Unfortunately, "wokeism" has moved from the social sciences to the STEM, and now this article (2014) probably would not be published.
That's what is happening in some school districts which want "gender" rather than "sex" taught to very small children in the early grades. Ohio House Bill 616 would ban both instruction and materials about sexual orientation and gender identity from kindergarten through third grade in all public and most private schools. I heard on the Bruce Hooley Show (https://989theanswer.com/radioshow/bruce-hooley) that Hilliard students are planning a protest on April 14 (it's not a law, hasn't even been debated) with the administration's blessing, although it is a violation of the state law to do so without being charged with tardiness. To listen start with segment 1 around 20 min. in.

Hollywood's new Red Scare
Sounds like something right out of the 1950s, when Hollywood feared the HUAC, the Red Scare, and the Blacklist. Ironic that now it's WOKEISM, just another form of Communism that is causing fear, anger and lost jobs for Hollywood. MeToo meets George Floyd meets diversity quotas. Well, we hadn't been to a movie theatre in years. Never too early to give up on a dying Hollywood altogether.

The woke military
On Feb. 26, three Republican members of Congress—Jim Banks (Ind.) Doug Lamborn (Colo.) and Vicky Hartzler (Mo.)—wrote the Pentagon expressing specific concerns about the divisive messages espoused by several of the books and the lopsided nature of the reading list. The books in question were Ibram X. Kendi’s “How to Be an Anti-Racist,” Michelle Alexander’s “The New Jim Crow” and Jason Pierceson’s “Sexual Minorities and Politics.” The Navy’s Reading Program Undermines America’s Security | The Heritage Foundation

JAMA editor not woke enough?
"Mike Davis, founder and president of Unsilenced Majority, today released the following statement regarding the firing of Dr. Howard Bauchner, the editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA).
“You would think that in the middle of a pandemic, the Journal of the American Medical Association would be focused more on its medical reporting and less on woke nonsense, but you’d be wrong. The firing of its top editor speaks to the priorities that have infected so many of our institutions: feelings, not facts; tone, not substance. Unfortunately, while our leaders in government, science, media and technology dedicate their attention to assuaging the woke mob, the advantages we have as a country are deteriorating. Scientists’ only concern should be science. Journalists’ only concern should be journalism. Educators’ only concern should be education. THE MORE WE GIVE INTO THE NOTION THAT IT'S ACCEPTABLE AND EVEN EXPECTED TO CANCEL THOSE WHO DEVIATE FROM WOKE ORTHODOXY, THE MORE WE'RE SETTING OURSELVES UP FOR DIVISION AND FAILURE. JAMA should rescind its unfair and ridiculous politically-motivated firing of its top editor immediately.”
