Trump's really bad idea

Sometimes President Trump's former life as a Democrat seeps through. Give 'em money. And that idea he floated of a $5,000 gift from the federal government to new moms is one of those times. Let's ignore that it would cover 2 weeks of day care or that it's ripe for fraud. The low birth rate is also cultural, religious, social and biological. No cost estimate on that.

The sperm count for instance. It's dropping all over the world, not just the USA! That was reported even when I was working in a medical library, but then with some concern in 2017 and again in 2022, when a report cited in Smithsonian said the average sperm concentrations have dropped from 104 to 49 million per milliliter. Now you can still make babies, but the chances are reduced and it should be cause for alarm.

And how about children being taught the last 20-30 years from K-12 that their country is racist, homophobic and evil? Is that supposed to make them want to repopulate the earth? Will that make them proud to be a member of the human race? The feminist movement encouraged women to look down on motherhood. Women were to be valued for how much money they can earn and what they pay in taxes to the government.

And what about women? We've (as a group) have been pumped full of a collection of hormones since the early 1960s, and the early versions were so experimental that God only knows what they did to the delicate organs and systems that are needed to produce a healthy child. Who knows what was passed along to the following generations. Those of us who have been pregnant carry the cells of those children and they carry ours forever through fetal microchimerism when their cells pass through the placenta into our bodies and vice versa. Those fetal cells may even transfer to the next pregnancy or even from grandmother to grandchild. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8762399/ What about all those other foreign materials we had in our bodies--like birth control pills or rings, patches and injections--all created to stop procreation?

I think we'll be seeing new research on environmental toxins and their effect on fertility--things we ingest in our food and water--for both men and women.

It's not the money, it's the mind. Since the 70s we were brainwashed to think of people as a "bomb" to destroy the earth. More recently white, heterosexual males are discriminated against and made to apologize for being guys and thought of as an enemy, or whose masculinity is frail enough to be simply a thought or feeling to become whatever a trans-activist group decides. It's not good for the future or the nation. Any nation.

Biden's folly--IX changes

Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is a single sentence. It simply bars sex discrimination in any federally funded education program. See what happens in a bureaucracy, in the swamp? The latest disaster is 1,577 pages. Both parties have created a monster, but the Democrats have defied God, nature, science and history. Nothing more evil than that. The party of intersectionality, of wokeism, of feminism, of transparency, of "me too" and rich old fools has dealt a death blow to women's safety and equality in scholarships and ambition. Way to go, Biden.

Barbara Walters has died

So Barbara Walters has died at 93. She was famous for being a first, a pioneer, and for her interviewing skills--she let the famous people talk instead of hogging the limelight. Today I heard that she was most proud of her legacy of paving the way for women in (TV) journalism. That's where I draw the line.

Next comes a very unpopular viewpoint, so you can leave this post and move on.

Women, particularly journalists whether news anchors on TV or "influencers" on Tik Tok have contributed little, at least no more than men who read lines written by others. The women of Fox at least have great legs and shoes. We've let the fake floozy Drag Queens show us how the world sees us. And unfortunately, their audience is often adoring, silly liberal women.

In fact, compared to the women of the 19th century big three (emancipation of slaves, temperance, and civil rights for women) the 20th and 21st century women pale by comparison. I wasn't particularly knowledgeable about our culture or world affairs in high school or college, but I can't think what women have done beginning with 2nd wave feminism (late 60s) that has changed the world for the better. It wasn't exactly the industrial revolution, the polio vaccine or DARPA (think Internet). Nope, sift through any cultural institution of the last 60 years--academe, entertainment, media, science, politics, literature and the arts--and women mostly are known for advocating to kill their own children--the weakest and most helpless humans in the world. I don't see that as a great legacy. The one thing men can't do and women became wannabe men.

As individuals women have gained a lot of freedom since the 60s, but often freedom is the enemy of freedom.

What's next after transgenderism?

What rights group will be next for the Democrats to elevate to top victim heap they need to protect for political power?

The only rights group with any credibility and truly victims of injustice we generally call the "civil rights movement" of the 1950s-1960s and they were black citizens, or African Americans. This movement had been going on for decades and was lead primarily by blacks with political pushing by the Republicans. They worked for years to pass anti-lynching legislation (always stopped by Democrats) and civil rights legislation (were finally successful after years of Democratic blocking) when under Eisenhower the Civil Rights Act of 1957 passed. Civil Rights Act of 1957 | Eisenhower Presidential Library (eisenhowerlibrary.gov)

With the 1970s came Feminism. Possibly it had a few victims, but it brought it's own problems. Marriages failed and children began their childhood in day care. It was mostly legislation about safety, employment and sports. It got a big shot in the butt with #MeToo.

After Feminism, the attention turned to homosexuality, discrimination, marriage, and AIDS. Or as it's loosely known, the gay culture, or Queer culture, an umbrella term they use, not me.
After the Defense of Marriage Act (1996-2015) failed and homosexuals had the legal right to marry and divorce, there was so much money left in the coffers by the big donors, they needed another cause to add to the movement now called Intersectionality which had by then become radically cultural Marxism.

And that's how Transgenderism rose to the top. With less than 1% of the population and being biologically impossible. The current group at the head of the banquet leaves women and minorities to eat table scraps. And it's destroyed the concept of safety from sexual assault and women's sports. We now in a very short time have "affirming surgery," "chest feeding," male athletes competing in women's sports, and chemical or surgical castration of young boys and men. Oh yes, and drag queens at story hours.

No one loves a victim like the Democrat party. Who's next? They are in the kitchen making the sausage. Will you join?

Who is Black Lives Matter?

BLM's founders openly admit to being Marxist ideologues. Their self-confessed mentors include former members of the Weather Underground, a radical "leftwing" terrorist group that sought to bring a communist revolution to the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. BLM is friendly with Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, whose socialist policies have brought economic collapse and untold misery to millions of people there." (Gatestone Institute)

BLM was initially created by 3 lesbian feminists, who want to do away with patriarchy (that's what feminists always say) and the nuclear family. In short, destroy the nation. Ironically, they've been responsible for the deaths of more black men and boys (riots in various cities including Baltimore and Ferguson) since they emerged after the Trayvon Martin killing, than just about any gang known to the police.

Stop treating women like it’s 1975

"You're Invited: Women in Technology Networking Night. Tech Hub’s fourth annual Women in Technology networking night is Feb. 27 at 6 p.m. at the TDAI Ideation Zone (300 Pomerene Hall). "

When I receive messages like this from Ohio State University I do wonder why after almost 50 years of pushing, nudging, cajoling and nagging, we still have to have "women only" events. Don't these people read the statistics about women and graduation rates, business start ups, life expectancy, special laws and set asides, etc.

Even President Trump got on the “women only” bandwagon at the urging of his daughter. In 2017 while the pink hat/hate ladies marched, he passed the "Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act," which encourages entrepreneurial programs that recruit and support women, and the "Next Space Pioneers and Innovators and Explorers Act," which directs NASA to encourage women and girls to study science, technology, engineering and mathematics and to pursue careers in aerospace.

Women first received more than half of the bachelor’s degrees awarded in the 1981-82 academic year—almost 40 years ago. Today they earn about 57% of bachelor’s degrees. The number of college-educated women in the adult population (ages 25 and older) surpassed the number of college-educated men in 2007--13 years ago.

Or maybe the diversity and inclusion people just have nothing else to do and have to keep building their empires. Or, maybe it's just another way to recruit women to vote for Democrats . . . keep telling them there's a gap, that they are oppressed, that white men especially are their enemy. Democrats hate happy citizens (usually conservatives)--have to find something awful.

Little Women the movies

My friend Bev and I took a break from our busy lives and took in a movie yesterday, Little Women (2019). We both enjoyed it, but wondered about the actor cast as Laurie, Timothée Hal Chalamet. He's 24 and looks 12. Saoirse Una Ronan who plays Jo is 25 and looks a little older. Both are not household names, I suppose because no one can pronounce them.  I had a problem seeing what's-his-name as a dissolute, worldly man and global traveler. Using Jo's messy hair to show her wokeness as a contrast to her more authentically correct sisters also struck me as tiresome, but overall it was a good movie.

Bev is a bit more techy than I and had managed to reserve seats for us on her smart phone.  We got to the theater right at 11, and by the time we got our tickets there were probably 50+ people in line—mostly retirees.  $5.00.

I found the 1949 version to compare. Elizabeth Taylor was Amy and Peter Lawford was Laurie, and June Allyson's hair was closer to the 1868 fashion (as Jo) than the 2019 version.  I wonder if the public library has it.  I saw it with my mother in Ocean Grove, NJ in 1949 when my brother and I travelled with her and my grandparents to the Church of the Brethren Annual Conference. I thought Elizabeth Taylor and Janet Leigh were the most beautiful women I’d ever seen.

https://youtu.be/kiI2hI1N9fQ

Then there’s also an interesting critique of the four movie versions, showing the development of the major characters and also changing their ages, nationalities, career challenges. I do wonder why today's (and the 90s) feminist critics think it's so wonderful for Jo to pursue money and career, but criticize men's empowerment to do the same thing. Always chasing men, I suppose.

https://youtu.be/nJGZoecSmrA

Also some interesting trivia.  During the 1949 making of Little Women, June Allyson was pregnant with her son, and then also her adoptive daughter Pamela arrived and she had to leave the set.

Janice Fiamengo looks at space travel

As we honor the women in space today, let's take a look at what other women are doing, disparaging space travel and exploration as ableist, colonialist, white supremacist, anti-native American, with a panel of angry resentful "scholars" male shaming. "Discovery" in their view is a racist, exploitive word, up to no good. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5UACktweQ3s

Janice Fiamengo who's about the smartest woman on the internet comments and analyzes. I don't see her as often as I used to. The Left has quite a campaign against her that seems to be working. She lives and works in Toronto.

I'm not sure one of these panelists is a woman, but they take the feminist line and may identify as one; I'm also not sure one of them is black, but she seems to identify as one; also not sure why the whitest is native American, but that's what pays her mortgage. It 's not lengthy, but will demonstrate for you the craziness going on in academe as wokeness moves from the social sciences into space travel.

Joe Biden doesn’t get it

But Janice Fiamengo does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhAir7sJ3ys  She has carefully looked at the Creepy Uncle Joe videos of his “inappropriate” behavior with women and girls, and sees nothing alarming.  She regrets that some conservatives are using this to go after him—or even some who want something other than a white male running for the DNC.

What she does announce is how Biden supported all the anti-male regulations, behaviors and law suits of the Obama era. For that she wants an apology from him. She knows the rage to condemn will keep expanding, no matter how innocent or how often the men apologize. It won’t end.  The Left eats its own.  All the publicity will only encourage women to accuse Biden.  It’s a set up.

His actions are far more serious than a nose bump or hair smelling.  He was on the feminist bandwagon early.  Co-author of Violence Against Women Act (excludes men from being victims, and has ruined many lives).  More than a billion dollars have been poured into Women’s organizations that accuse men; the single most disastrous piece of legislation in the U.S.

As vice president he was an advocate of strong arming men in colleges who were denied all basic U.S. rights for citizens.  He’s joined the anti-white male movement. He has suggested tearing down the legal system and rebuilding along feminist lines.

Janice wants an apology for creating male misery, not for innocent touching.

How did we get to this mess? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlVTNVFvryc  A little history.

Radical feminists are attacking heterosexuality

Ladies, if you ever thought feminists were a bit silly or just out of step, you really need to watch this Janice Fiamengo video.  Second wave feminism has definitely flowed over the edge of sanity.

Remember when "women's lib" was about women's sexual freedom--to be one of the guys? No more--that's just grandma's day. Now, "normal sex" is violence against women and abuse--even if married, and consent is non-consent. Wonder what the college permission forms men should be signing will look like? What new laws to "protect" women will Congress enact?

Actually, heterosexuality is what they are attacking. They're again saying, women don't have a clue.

Children need fathers—especially boys

“Telomeres are caps of DNA on the tips of our chromosomes. Think of them like the cap on a bicycle tire or the plastic tips of shoelaces that prevent the laces from fraying. Certain things cause our telomeres to shorten, and when that happens we experience cell dysfunction leading to various health problems.

In the case of boys, nine-year-olds who had no father in the home had telomeres that were 14 percent shorter than those with fathers. When broken down by reason for the loss of the father, the effect was greatest , 16 percent,  in children whose fathers were dead. For children whose fathers were incarcerated, the reduction in telomeres averaged 10 percent; for those whose parents were divorced or separated, it was 6 percent.”

Why can’t Paddy be black?

Why not? If Irish Paddy wants to be black or Indian, why can't he be a transracial man--or women if he gets the hormones at the same time as the tanning lotion? There's a scholarship s/he has his eye on. Janice Fiamengo finds this delicious irony of a feminist publication that intends to publish those on the minority fringe, being castigated for actually publishing something those further out on the edge didn’t like. Sit back and enjoy the cat fight. “The Hazards of Defending Trans-Racialism.”

Intersectionality, multiculturalism, inclusion, and diversity--all except white men

Before the Jews were rounded up and killed, there was first a campaign to demonize them--to depict them as less than human. Is the same thing happening to white men? Not that they will go to the gas chambers--they just won't be able to get a job.

Tenure won’t protect you against the social justice witch burners

You think you're safe at your university of college if you have tenure? Not if you come out for western civilization and don't believe in creating pools of victims. Rick Mehta, an associate professor of psychology, has been outspoken on a range of contentious issues. He has come under fire for saying multiculturalism is a scam, there's no wage gap between men and women, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission has created a victim narrative. Identity politics are divisive. Duh. All he was suggesting was a discussion. Imagine that--doing what colleges are supposed to do. He had many teaching awards, right up to his firing. Academe has been entrapped by a group of "true believers' [in Marxism]. No discussion is allowed.

Janice Fiamengo went from being a radical feminist to a moderate feminist to an anti-feminist after 9/11 when she saw her Canadian colleagues enjoying the event and proclaiming "they deserved it." Also she saw how unjust hiring practices were--very anti-white men. She became outraged when equity hiring meant the most qualified person wasn't chosen . Now speaks out on behalf of men.

What If Men Are Smarter?

              image
Lots of people, millions and millions, are smarter than I am. Is that so awful?  And my math intelligence is probably below that of a 5th grader.   The majority of brilliant mathematicians are men—some are women—but a small percentage.  The women’s movement, the current one that developed in the early 1970s, has perhaps resulted in unfulfilled rising expectations, according to this Fiamengo File.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9FPe3U8mj8

Janice Fiamengo’s reports (files) are available on YouTube.  She’s Canadian and an anti-feminist, not anti-woman. She’s anti-Marxism,  anti-PC, and anti-woman-as-victim, all of which encompasses today’s feminism.  She’s goes deep, and she’s not an animated speaker—sort of a Joe Friday style.  However, her logic and research are compelling.  Even so, I’m sure at some point the truth and facts will cause her to be bumped off YouTube.

Here she comments on Christine Blasey Ford, the accuser of Judge Brett Kavanaugh brought forward at the last minute by Senator Feinstein when it looked like nothing could derail the nomination.  It has had over 2 million views and well over 14,000 comments (as of November 27, 2018).  And the comments bring up things I never thought of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cFL6k5yOAFM
“YouTube is demonetizing videos that are critical of the Left. This makes it nearly impossible for critics of feminism to survive off of their work. A viral video like this one [about Dr. Blasey] would normally gather $2,000 per day in ad revenue, but because it criticizes a feminist position this revenue is denied. This is part of the bias that we are fighting .  https://www.youtube.com/user/StudioBrule

Comments on quotas and gender bias in hiring

This is a comment which appeared under the YouTube talk on attacks on a physicist who actually did research on gender hiring differences and found a bias against men. Less qualified women were hired. The Fiamengo File Episode 90 on the shaming of Alessandro Strumia. She’s a great commentator on current problems in society with feminists, genderists, racists, intellectual quality and quantity, etc. University of Ottawa. Like Jordan Peterson and Gad Saad she’s a Canadian with a great series on YouTube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOCIke7zLMo

“I am a retired electrical engineer, raised in a feminist dominated household. I worked for FAA. About 1995, there was a policy announced from DC. By 2000, 50% of all technicians were to be female. We had some female technicians already. From what I saw, they were well accepted and fully competent. There were some instances of sexual harassment and policies were instituted to protect them and raise awareness of the need to not offend females. These were rational and well administered, for the most part. I recall one female technician with a sign above her desk that read, "Sexual harassment will not be tolerated, but it will be graded." She loved the attention she got for being female, and it was a happy and highly functional workplace. The female technician and engineer numbers were steadily growing, but once this 1995 policy was introduced, the path to promotion for managers was to select women technicians over men, if at all possible. I could write a book about the results of this forcing a change onto a workforce responsible for maintaining the safety of the air traffic control system.

At first, I welcomed the policy, thinking that disparity in gender diversity was due to bigotry. Primarily, it wasn't. There were very few capable female candidates. Secretaries and other technically incompetent women were encouraged to apply for positions that formerly required deep technical backgrounds. After a few classes at the FAA Academy, they were led to believe they were technicians, though some really were incapable of using a screwdriver. In my limited experience, I saw several such cases where they were sidelined because they were too dangerous to be allowed near the equipment. They drew full pay, but managers did not know what to do with them. Their careers were ruined by believing what they were told, so a misguided policy could be made to appear successful. They were then led to believe that their failure was due to the patriarchy.

On the other hand, the competent female technicians suffered by association. When I was assigned to work on some project with a female before the policy was initiated, I was glad for it. I like women. Having them in the workforce improves the general conditions. I never had problems with incompetence or corruption before this 1995 policy. Afterwards, I was often nervous to be working with women, despite my long favorable history of association with many feminist minds. Male technicians would tell me of their dread to be working with incompetent women technicians, which was never the case prior to the policy. The chances of being called before the Accountability Board for non-malicious comments or jokes were strong, and could have severe consequences. What was a funny joke, which make women technicians laugh, suddenly was a matter of utmost offensiveness. Where was the middle ground of telling the guy to cool it? Times change. Those with more than 3 neurons to rub together want to avoid trouble. Electronics technicians were smart people, mostly ex-military and knew how to get along under authority. Elimination of overt sexism had been happening. Then, the PC police started busting heads, figuratively. Now, hostility proliferates, and it all gets blamed on men, particularly old white men, like me.”

Jordan Peterson always win these battles with feminists, as does Fiamengo and Saad.

Second wave feminism and assault

Forty-five years ago I'd occasionally attend a "consciousness raising" group during the blossoming of second wave feminism. I wrote book reviews for a female publication put out by some OSU librarian-feminists. Women studies departments were being developed to capitalize on the interest. It was the era of “women’s lib.”  I don't recall the homes exactly, but they were in the OSU campus area. And were at night!  Sitting on the floor with our arms wrapped around legs seemed to be required, even if there was a free chair in the room. I may have attended with a woman in my neighborhood who was unhappy in her marriage to a professor, and later abandoned husband and children to go east and find herself. At least I can’t imagine I was so foolish to go into that area at night alone.  I think her name was Laura.

Even with a Russian major and all those Soviet history and literature courses I had, I didn't connect the dots between feminism and Marxism until much later when the movement leaders began dividing up women by black/white, gay/straight, young/old. At these meetings women would talk about their sadness at dashed dreams, boredom with being a stay at home mom, disappointment with career choices, anger with parents, boyfriends or husbands for not understanding. Heady stuff.

Not once did I ever hear a woman say she'd been assaulted, raped, or even abused. That’s not to say it wasn’t happening, just that no one said anything if it was.

Manfeels/Mansfield Park

This is a webcomic. It inserts the way women think men think into Jane Austen scenes. Manfeels-Park/Mansfield Park. Get it? Openly passive aggressive hostile. The intent is to ridicule the stereotypical way men talk and think, sort of the blonde joke in reverse. But this particular one on feminism is spot on. I've been watching the feminist movement since the early 70s. I've seen the damage. Men know truth, too. Feminism IS Marxism--invented by men for men to destroy family, church, societal norms and sexuality so all will need the state. Will beg for the state. But most women don't even get it. Mo and Erin don't either (the hosts).

The Trinity isn't a job description

If a church/pastor regularly prays (or God forbid, baptizes) in the name of the Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer instead of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I hope she/he knows how disrespectful it is to call God with whom you claim to have a personal, loving relationship, by a job description. It's utilitarian and objectifies God. To my ears it sounds worse than a TV or radio preacher's health and wealth gospel. It's also a violation of 2000 years of Christian history and culture cutting us off from our past.

Imagine if I were walking with you down the streets of Lakeside, a very friendly community, and we meet someone you know and I don't. And you said, "I'd like you to meet retired librarian, cottage owner, who also donates to my church." This revised Trinitarian formula, now no longer trendy but entrenched in liberal mainline churches, is supposed to be 'inclusive." It came about from the feminist movement of the 70s which is at its core unChristian and Marxist, but has infected the Christian churches like black mold.

It's not that we don't ever describe the wonderful things God does for us--in fact, words fail when we try. They are so fabulous we have a book of stories, parables, miracles, poetry and laws to refer to. This is change that never made sense, and I don't know who started it, but probably the offering plate is the only way to stop it.

"Baptisms performed in the name of a gender-neutral Trinity are not true baptisms, the Catholic Church's highest doctrinal authority decreed on Friday (Feb. 29, 2008) Christianity Today." Most protestants don't know our baptisms, sprinkled, splashed, dunked or poured, are valid in the Catholic church--unless this formula is used because it's meaningless.

Tim Hunt and fainting feminists

The claws are out at the Daily Beast over the Nobel Prize winning cancer scientist, Tim Hunt, who told a joke about women. Oh my. The Twitterverse came alive--probably at least 15 multiplying in their nastiness and getting a valuable scientist fired. So to provide some clarity for hysterical posters I responded, "The real issue is that his institution is so afraid of a few twits on social media that it will fire two cancer scientists for telling a joke. I heard a recording of this, and that a few women fell on their fainting couch is ridiculous and doesn't speak well for women in the sciences (although it was social media that ran with it, not the women)."

Then these sweet ladies who can be sexist, racist, and self-haters, turned ageist and attacked me for my age, because obviously, anyone over 40 isn't allowed an opinion. They've apparently never heard how men talk to each other.

Norma Bruce's photo.

"Three things happen when [girls] are in the lab: you fall in love with them, they fall in love with you, and when you criticise them they cry," he said. According to one of the attendees, the joke was greeted by a "deathly, deathly silence."

Since he met his wife in a lab, I strongly suspect this joke was very personal. She was also fired.

http://reason.com/archives/2015/06/13/the-illiberal-persecution-of-tim-hunt

The response to Hunt is way more archaic than what Hunt said. Sure, his views might be a bit pre-women's lib, pre-1960s. But the tormenting and sacking of people for what they think and say is pre-modern. It's positively Inquisitorial.

The irony is too much to handle: Hunt is railed against for expressing an old-fashioned view, yet the railers against him do something infinitely more old-fashioned: they expel from public life someone they judge to have committed heresy. Kick him out. Strip him of his titles. Mock his misfortune. "Savour the moment." How awfully ironic that the Royal Society, which played a key role in propelling Britain from medievalism to modernity, is now being asked to behave in a medieval fashion and send into the academic wilderness a heretic among its number.
