3324 Columbus' first baby of 2007
is Miguel Angel Naranjo. His parents Maria and Rodriguez left Mexico four months ago. Fearing a birth defect that runs in the family, they wanted the good care their infant would get in the the USA.No word on legal or illegal entry, or whether they are married, or how they made their way to Columbus, Ohio, or who is paying for this. On the plus side, the child didn't have the defect, so we've been saved that cost and the child has been saved corrective surgery.

Franklin County’s New Year’s Baby
Where would you have the child be born? In a Mexican manger? How Christ-like (the baby, certainly not you!)
Happily, the baby was born without a hereditary hare-lip but if he stays in the United States he surely will remain handicapped by virtue of not being of WASP parentage.
The baby’s parents are married and came to Columbus sponsored by the father’s parents, facts irrelevant to New Year’s baby story but facts that could easily have been checked. So much for your invidious suspicions, and so much for the “honest and well researched” claims vaunted by your blog. Perhaps you can take solace in the fact that in this instance, per usual, “we” may actually have made money from a Mexican family.
I am getting very tired of the hare-brained xenophobia that once again is being fomented in this country, particularly when it is wrapped in the guise of self-satisfied religion.
It so happens that the second baby born in Franklin Co. this year was the child of Somalian refugees. Why don’t you see what you can make of that.
