So now we have ISIS resurgence in Syria after Trump practically wiped them out and new ground troops from U.S. stepping up to "advise." How'd that work out the last 3 decades? Then there's the pesky border civil war between Ukraine and Russia and 8500 U.S. troops on alert. Our friends and enemies around the world know how weakened by his advisors Biden is--they saw it in the Afghanistan withdrawal disaster. They see his inability to negotiate with Mexico or follow Trump's plan to stop the millions pouring over our own border. They know he's Obama 2.0 and they remember the red lines and lines in the shifting sand for 8 years. Add to this miserable record, the military leaders Biden has chosen for guidance are more concerned about woke soldiers than skilled and trained troops. How helpful is a Marxist social theory when the Russians and Ukrainians, two former Communist states, are the same race, culture and religion, and the Syrian fighters are all some version of Islam?

Support grows for the wall
“Support for building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border jumped to its highest level on record, Quinnipiac University announced Tuesday, reporting results of its latest poll:
“This is the highest level of support for the wall since the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN- uh-pe-ack) University National Poll first asked the question in November 2016.”
Forty-three percent of voters support building the border wall, while 54% oppose it, according to the national survey of 1,147 voters, conducted Dec. 12-17, 2018.”
This will probably be even more important now if troops are withdrawn from middle east civil wars, internecine conflicts, border wars, etc. and the U.S. stops being policeman for the world. The hawks have been saying for 15 years it’s better to fight over there than at home. We have a border sieve/open back door for illegals who want to harm us to come in with those looking for economic opportunity and the run of the mill drug dealer. They also come in on visitor visas, HB1’s for working high tech jobs, and in chain migration.
I have no idea why Trump decided to announce this on a day of victory and bi-partisanship for prison reform, but he does seem to love keeping everyone guessing, including some of his strongest supporters. Hugh Hewett who started as a never Trumper then went to big supporter, is today scratching his head.
There’s a go-fund me page for building the wall that raised about 4 million in the first few hours. I doubt that it is legal, and that’s a long way from 5 Billion. It really makes no difference that much of what Trump has accomplished was supported by Democrats, they hate, hate, hate him, and nothing can satisfy their thirst for his death. I believe the intention is not just to remove Trump, by death, courts, or sabotage from the media with fake news and constant harassment, but to also get rid of Pence; then they can install Pelosi. She’s not Clinton, but still has the body parts plus some that have been added over the years. Compared to what’s coming down the pike with Democrats, she’s going to look like a moderate.

President Obama returns
Obama raised taxes during a recession, imposed new regulations, spent billions on unworkable programs, ruined the health insurance of millions, racheted up racism like we hadn't seen in 50 years, paid off our enemies, stabbed our friends in the back, created a vacuum for ISIS, weaponized the FBI and IRS against the American people, turned a blind eye to riots and civil disobedience, sneered at our values and religion, created low expectations to guarantee his success, compromised the press, took over the job of Congress when he didn't like their inaction on immigration, and talked incessantly about himself for 8 years. I welcome him entering the race against Trump--it will remind everyone why Trump won.

Who's the president? Who's to blame?
1) Democrats don't treat him like he's the president so we can still blame Obama who has his people embedded in Trump's administration, and
2) Democrats have been such obstructionists over everything and brought law suits, he's only had a few weeks to accomplish tax reform, improve the economy, secure the borders, revitalize the military, bring hope and pride back to America, stop the ridiculous mandate to jail those who don't buy health insurance, appoint excellent people to the courts, get the U.S. out of a non-binding Climate agreement, defund the organization that kills more females than all diseases, accidents and abuse--Planned Parenthood, defeat ISIS and end the Korean War.
If he were a politician, he'd not have accomplished anything.

Statement by President Donald J. Trump on the Defeat of ISIS in Raqqah
I am pleased to announce that the Syrian Democratic Forces, our partners in the fight against ISIS in Syria, have successfully recaptured Raqqah – the terrorist group’s self-proclaimed capital city. Together, our forces have liberated the entire city from ISIS control.
The defeat of ISIS in Raqqah represents a critical breakthrough in our worldwide campaign to defeat ISIS and its wicked ideology. With the liberation of ISIS’s capital and the vast majority of its territory, the end of the ISIS caliphate is in sight.
We will soon transition into a new phase in which we will support local security forces, de-escalate violence across Syria, and advance the conditions for lasting peace, so that the terrorists cannot return to threaten our collective security again. Together, with our allies and partners, we will support diplomatic negotiations that end the violence, allow refugees to return safely home, and yield a political transition that honors the will of the Syrian people.
One of my core campaign promises to the American people was to defeat ISIS and to counter the spread of hateful ideology. That is why, in the first days of my Administration, I issued orders to give our commanders and troops on the ground the full authorities to achieve this mission. As a result, ISIS strongholds in Mosul and Raqqah have fallen. We have made, alongside our coalition partners, more progress against these evil terrorists in the past several months than in the past several years.
I commend all of our coalition partners for the sacrifices they have made in this noble effort. Therefore, as we recognize this military accomplishment, we also pause to honor our service men and women and all they have given to protect us and all civilized people from these modern day barbarians.
Today, we reaffirm that ISIS leaders, and anyone who supports them, must and will face justice.

Can Christians agree to pray for other Christians
Sharaf, who was the very last bishop to flee ISIS in Mosul in June 2014, told Smith, “So often concern for Christians is minimized. I am so happy, because you are the first American who has come to just ask about the Christians. We pray that President Trump will help us. We are the last people to speak the Aramaic language. Without help, we are finished.”Pray also for Representative Smith who called the legislation he is proposing “a blueprint for how to assist Christians and other genocide survivors and hold perpetrators accountable.”
“This Christmas season, the survival of Christians in Iraq, where they have lived for almost 2,000 years, is at stake,” Smith, who is chair of the House panel on global human rights and international organizations, commented on Monday.

Meanwhile, in Philadelphia with the Democrats
Isn't politics grand? Segregated toilets and ID checks in Philadelphia for the DNC, and a Virginia school board postponing putting boys in the girls' locker room. In North Carolina that gets your tourism industry destroyed.
ISIS hasn't been mentioned in the DNC speeches although the bloody crimes continue in Europe. Today in Normandy an elderly Catholic priest was beheaded at the altar while saying mass by ISIS members. Amazing what can be done with knives. Another dead, another severely wounded. CNN reports it, "Doesn't know the motive?" One of the nuns escaped and went for help. In the U.S., we're killing air conditioners (mine is fried in the van), because according to John Kerry, that's the real danger, not ISIS.
Oh. And someone noticed almost no American flags flying over the DNC. I'm not watching--can anyone confirm?
Michael Brown's mother of the Ferguson riots is going to speak at the DNC. I can understand her grief. Her son is dead. If my son high on drugs had robbed a minority run store and then lunged into a police car to grab the officer's gun, I'd be grieving too. I just wouldn't go to the nation on TV and absolve him of guilt.

Zuckerberg, Facebook, and ISIS
In the past few years, the use of Twitter (as opposed to Facebook), on the other hand, has grown. ISIS supporters embraced the platform in the latter part of the last decade, Stalinsky says, when old-school web forums regulated by moderators remained popular among Al Qaeda members. According to research from the Brookings Institute, ISIS supporters used some 46,000 Twitter accounts between September and December 2014, though not all were active at the same time.

German Muslims join ISIS, then return to Germany
“Former militants who used to fight in the ranks of so-called Islamic State (former ISIS/ISIL) and other terrorist groups against the troops of the Syrian and Iraqi governments are now coming home, raising the threat of potential terror attacks to a new high, German Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere told Bild am Sonntag.
The number of potential attackers currently living in Germany is “higher than ever before,” de Maiziere said, estimating the number of German citizens joining terrorists at 760 people, about one-fifth of them women, who usually do not fight among jihadists, but rather “assisting” the terrorists “in other ways,” de Maiziere said.
The vast majority of Germans fighting in Syria and Iraq are men in their 20s who were raised in Germany and had German or double citizenship, De Maiziere added.
According to the minister, some 120 German citizens have died in the conflict in the Middle East; while about 200 have managed to return back home. The rest is still somewhere out there, participating in terrorist activities, he added.”
Europe closed its eyes—all countries, not just Germany—to the dangers of their insipid multiculturalism, where all cultures are of equal value, and the U.S. is going down that path.

What Obama has given us
2. Iran. The other Arab/Muslim countries should be able to work out a solution to the Syrian refugee problem, and join forces to defeat ISIS (they are afraid too—different branches of Islam). But because Obama made a deal with the devil (Iran), they don’t trust him and won’t work with him.
3. Trump. Probably the worst “Republican” candidate of an otherwise terrific bench, any one of which could run circles around Hillary Clinton, is Donald Trump. But Americans are so fed up with our juvenile, lead from behind, hate America first, know-nothing president they are falling for Trump’s glib, bombastic “just bomb ‘em” and “close the mosques” temper tantrums.

ISIS has grown 4,400% under Obama!
“CIA Director John Brennan talked about his thoughts on the Paris attacks, ISIS and the possibility of terrorism on U.S. soil Monday.
In a previously arranged appearance at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a Washington think tank, Brennan said it is likely that ISIS has other attacks planned.”
“I don’t think we are underestimating at all the capabilities of ISIL. Its growth over the last several years in particular – but as you know, that it had its roots in al-Qaida in Iraq. It was, you know, pretty much decimated when U.S. forces were there in Iraq. It had maybe 700-or-so adherents left. And then it grew quite a bit in the last several years, when it split then from al-Qaida in Syria, and set up its own organization.”

Watch the graphic on how the Islamic State attacked
The wars were over before Obama took office, but obviously the countries were not secure. But he had to do the pull out of troops to satisfy his handlers, and ISIS, the JV team, filled the vacuum. He created this mess, and claims “containment” is working. Tell that to the grieving families in Beirut and Kenya and Paris.

The size of circles corresponds to the number of noncombatant casualties in attacks. Data for attacks by Boko Haram is unavailable before July 1.
Remember this? The compassionate Obama?
And he has the gall, and the snark, to say “this isn’t who we are” (to turn down Syrian Muslims, unvetted young men, who could be members of ISIS and sitting in the Trojan horse).

There’s an easy solution . . .
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and our media (and the British media) refuse to use the term Islamic terrorism. So instead using the acronym, let’s all use the term they use: “Islamic State” (IS) or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) or Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL). Of course, not all Moslems are terrorists, but many do support Shariia law and many do financially support organizations that feed into fundamentalism.
I liken this to the abortion movement in the United States. There are many women who say, “I would never have an abortion myself, but I believe in a woman’s right to choose” and donate to Planned Parenthood. They financially support a killing machine. Islamic terrorism and Planned Parenthood are not equal, of course,—Planned Parenthood has killed many more human beings than ISIS.

The ISIS Threat in Paris and here
When GW Bush left office, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were essentially over; only security and mop up of dangerous elements plus training of local government forces remained. But "ending the war" was Obama's campaign promise in 2008 and it had been taken from him. Never mind. We lost more military in his first term than 2 of Bush. He continued with that theme, ignored the fragility of the wars' end, and foolishly let ISIL (IS) rise to the power it is today. The whole world will pay for his hungry pride. The terrorists of yesterday's French attack put us on notice by saying they thirst for America's blood.
Watching a British news source last night I notice they referred to this as "the situation," and "the event." Now that's the worst PC-isms I've ever heard. Perhaps we need to return to plain English, Mr. President.
The daughter of Geraldo Rivera of Fox News was at the Paris soccer stadium where one of the attacks took place. There was a very moving first hand account from her, after her rescue by family friends when all the public and private transportation shut down. Rivera has represented the liberal view on the Fox show,The Five, since pundit Bickel went to rehab. But last night he sounded like Donald Trump. That's what fear looks and sounds like, and that is the purpose of terrorism.
