A good Climate year
I'm no scientist, but then neither are a lot of those who claim the title. Here's my take as a retired librarian; when there's drought in California, they whine climate change, and when it rains too much, they cry climate change, and when they have no plan to keep the reservoirs full, they blame climate change. It keeps the bureaucrats fat and the professors published.

Dumb and dumber--the Democrats and Climate Change
Wednesday, November 16, 2022
Words, words, words.
"Gender affirming care" is actually legalized child abuse which includes toxic hormones for children, and amputation of body parts. Pay no attention to those "medical" associations that approve it. There are virtually zero/zip clinical or long term studies, only hunches and hopes, what these zombized lab specimens will be when they are 80.
"Respect for marriage act" is exactly the opposite. It intends to enshrine same sex or any sex or any number of genders or any species into formal, cultural recognition of a relationship which will criminalize you if you don't agree. The most primitive of societies in the most far reaching regions and religions always had a way to formalize a marriage between men and women. They weren't confused. They knew concubines, mistresses, male temple prostitutes and adolescent boys who were sex toys of older men were not marriage partners. They were sex objects. Marriage was for the creation of a family, for procreation, even if that culture had no knowledge of Christ, Moses or Mohammed or a named Hindu God or gods. There are some things pre-history people knew that we're trying to legislate away today in order to destabilize society.
"Inflation Reduction Act" is exactly the opposite. Only governments create inflation, and only governments increase inflation by expanding the supply of money. Both the Trump and Biden administrations threw unreasonable amounts of money at the pandemic on the advice of people who claimed to know how to stop a virus. They then burdened the people who make the money and give it to the government in taxes with lockdowns. Even churches took money to stay closed--the very people we trusted with our souls and our first amendment.
"Climate change" is one of those, of course it does, phrases. But the political meaning is very different than the words. It actually means there is a huge cloud of power hungry bureaucrats who have enlisted science, entertainment, information giants and massive corporations to convince you the tax payer to believe puny, insignificant people, can control the universe. These are the same people who can't define a woman or properly fund the police or can use an attack on Paul Pelosi while police were in house to accuse Trump supporters.
So that's my word story for today. Now a few words from a career librarian: to the victor belong the archives. If you have to go to the victor (Biden administration, Bush, Obama, Clinton, JFK, LBJ, FDR, etc.) to get your information (data, knowledge, news reports, archives), you better have your eye on a deeper understanding of TRUTH before you start your journey.
And btw, why do lesbians and homosexuals want these goons and abusers in their camp? Haven't they spent decades claiming they are not pedophiles, and now they take the T and the Q into their acronym?

Clues about the election outcomes
I was listening to Matt Walsh last night and he had some interesting statistics about Gen-Z--both that generation and their lifestyles and voting patterns (born 1996-2015). Overwhelmingly, they voted Democrat--huge spread from other generations. Only 45% of Gen Z report having good mental health--many suffer from anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, Bi-polar, etc. and a high percentage have seen a professional or take medication. From Catholics to Lutherans to Bible Only churches, Gen-Z is turned off--but they are instead opting for pantheism, gnosticism and the occult. They are "spiritual" but not religious, so they have no real grounding in faith because those expressions are all interior focused and not based on truth.
And maybe that's a message about where Democrats, and our Democracy, are going. Mentally confused and ungrounded in reality voters reach out for big government to help them survive. This provides a ready made market for Big Pharma which helps to elect more Democrats with its profits. From the time they entered Kindergarten they've been told the world is going to crash and burn unless they do something, anything, like recycle, or stop using plastic, or rush into the streets and scream. They've been taught to look inward for strength, and that their bodies don't matter--that sex is now gender and can all be changed just through wishful thinking, amputating body parts, and making others change their pronouns. Then the lockdown came and they were left to their own company. A perfect storm.
Poor lil Gen-Z. They grew up in a country rich beyond any other generation's dreams and they believe they can/will destroy it, and that God isn't revealed in the Bible or the churches, but they personally will save the world if they just follow some guru or their inner light and swallow some pills.
Creepy Joe is just the president they need and want.

Flying taxis and Chinese education
What a shame. The Chinese still have slavery, and Dubai lives on the servanthood of low income workers imported from all over the Asian and African world who can't become citizens. In the U.S. where we have a global population representing hundreds of ethnicities and cultures and we have opportunity for all, Leftists rotting the core of the Democrat party strangle our citizens with critical theory, climate lies, and destruction of our foundation in Western Civilization which has given all freedom to achieve and grow.

Climate change narrative of Big Tech
Facebook wants to tell me how climate is changing in my area each time I post research that goes against its power agenda. It sends a message about temperatures in my geographic area even though temperature isn't climate. Every morning I walk where there use to be a glacier retreating to what is now Canada as the Great Lakes were being formed. I think I know the climate has changed. Now, go and harass elsewhere Oh mighty Meta (Facebook's new name).

Here's a moving comment on the discussion by a Dutch citizen:
"As a Dutch man I must admit that all the praise and applause for our country brought tears to my eyes. So much I actually paused the video (especially the part at 1:02:19 ). We live in a time where every sense of pride or patriotism is considered a bad thing, so much, in fact, that when other people acknowledge the accomplishments of your nation it (apparently) brings up incredible strong emotions. The cliché mentality of a Dutch person is: stop whining and do your job. Our mothers creed is: "bad weather does not exist only bad clothing". We usually shrug our shoulders and carry on with our lives. This no- nonsense mentality is the strongest within the farmers community. They withstand the horrible Dutch weather with lots of rain and howling winds that blow over the flat lands to feed everybody. Literally. Not just their community, or their country.... no a large part of the world. They are the sort of people that, until a couple of years ago, were characterized as more or less "emotionless". Now their land, their family business, that was so carefully built over generations is taken away from them. It is a bloody shame. They truly are the canary in the coalmine. I stand with them for 100%."

Prepare yourselves for Biden's Climate emergency
I just did an internet search--something really simple about when Ohio was under a glacier and it melted. I had to go through about 100 entries of scare stories that had nothing to do with the subject to find this:
"When the earliest ice sheets penetrated Ohio they dramatically changed drainage patterns in the state. The Erigans River was destroyed and the Teays River was dammed in southern Ohio. A large, ice-dammed lake, Lake Tight, formed in the valleys of southern Ohio, and adjacent Kentucky and West Virginia. Eventually, the lake spilled over low divides and cut new channels. This was the beginning of the creation of the Ohio River. The deep valleys of the Teays River and its tributaries were filled with sediment as they were overridden by the glacier. In some places in western Ohio the buried valley of the Teays River is more than 400 feet deep but no hint of it is visible on the flat surface of the landscape.
The advance of the Illinoian glacier 300,000 years ago continued the modification of the Ohio landscape, eroding bedrock and older sediments and depositing sediment as it melted. This glacier advanced the farthest south of any of the glaciations in Ohio. Deeply weathered Illinoian deposits are present in southwestern Ohio and in a narrow band through east-central Ohio.
The most recent and best preserved glacial deposits are from the Wisconsinan glaciation. This glacier entered Ohio about 24,000 years ago and was gone from the state by 14,000 years ago." . . .

What did F.A. Hayek say about the Leftist agenda?
How should we conservatives think about race and critical theory, CRT; the misnamed gender affirmation or transgenderism; the climate change cult; abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy; free and open borders ; mandates that didn't reduce the toll of the pandemic and had never been tried before? F.A. Hayek had some thoughts.
" Incredible as some of these aberrations [spirit of totalitarianism] may appear, we must yet be on our guard not to dismiss them as mere accidental by-products which have nothing to do with the essential character of a planned or totalitarian system. They are not. THEY ARE A DIRECT RESULT OF THAT SAME DESIRE TO SEE EVERYTHING DIRECTED BY A "UNITARY CONCEPTION OF THE WHOLE," of the need to uphold at all costs the views in the service of which people are asked to make constant sacrifices, and of the general idea that the knowledge and beliefs of the people are an instrument to be used for a single purpose. Once science has to serve, not TRUTH, but the interests of a class, a community or a state, the sole task of argument and discussion is to vindicate and to spread still further the beliefs by which the whole life of the community is directed. As the Nazi minister of justice has explained, the question which every new scientific theory must ask itself is: "Do I serve National Socialism for the greatest benefit of all?"
The word TRUTH itself ceases to have its old meaning. . . it becomes something to be laid down by AUTHORITY, something which has to be believed in the interest of the unity of the organized effort and which may have to be altered as the exigencies of this organized effort require it. p. 178 "The Road to Serfdom; text and documents. Climate alarmists are misleading the country and the world
There is no climate emergency - Washington Times
The most recent claim from the purveyors of climate catastrophe is that recent temperature increases are “unusual and unprecedented.” However, records indicate that modern warming began more than 300 years ago in the depths of the horrific Little Ice Age. The first 250 years of that warming preceded 20th century CO2 increases and were necessarily 100% naturally driven.
Solar panels from China are made by slave labor, same with the giant ugly wind mills covering our prairies. But Biden invited them to the climate meeting so he could cave to their demands. Putin and Xi Jinping took time off last week from attacking Ukraine and Hong Kong to attend on zoom. Sweet. Did Biden give away the store--we'll see.

Joe Biden lied at press conference
Now that he and Pelosi have us speaking trillions instead of billions, and they just foisted on us $1.2 trillion, little of which was for Covid19, but had that check dangling out there as a carrot, now it will be trillions more for "infrastructure," the green grab and more government control over public and personal health.
Do we even know what a trillion is? Let's look at seconds. 60 seconds is a minute. One million seconds is 12 years. One trillion seconds would be about 32,000 years. And $10 trillion still won't change the climate.

Sierra Club’s Free Gift
Yesterday we got an appeal for funds from Sierra Club (went into the waste basket) which included a small note book with bookmarks, first aid checklist, and pocket calendar along with some to-do lists and marketing. Some of it was very preachy—“bring your own mug and dishware for food eaten at the office,” “carpool, bike or take transit to work” “use non-toxic cleaning products and brighten your work space with plants” “buy ENERGY STAR certified light bulbs and fixtures,” and “print on the back side of old documents for faxes, scrap paper of drafts.” The last one gave me a little chuckle since my grandmother was way ahead of her time and always saved letters and advertisements and used the back side for her carbon copies when writing business letters. I used a lot of them in my research about farm families.
Being good to the environment is being good to ourselves, but when an article headline is “12 ways to halt climate change” that’s just ignorant and giving people “feel good” bad advice. Climate change couldn’t be halted by any or all of these rules.
1. Grow a garden. Organic. Plant a tree. Think of the millions of people who might have space for a flower pot in a window in their city apartment building. There are many advantages to having fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, but saving the planet won’t be the result.
2. Speak truth to power. Demand clean energy like wind and solar from your energy supplier. Really? Does the writer believe there is no cost to the environment to produce solar panels or wind mills and store the energy for no-wind and sunless days? According to PBS which I consider a liberal source, we currently have about 17% in renewables, a fraction of that 100% activists were demanding a year ago. Nuclear power plants are closing and they were up to about 19% of the total.
3. Stop using incandescent bulbs and use more efficient ones. You’ll have to buy American to make any difference.
4. Look for Energy Star label in buying new appliances. Wash clothes in cold water; or dry on clothesline (many areas are regulated against this).
5. Insulate walls, attic, windows. New windows are making our home more comfortable and efficient, but it won’t save the world.
6. Lower your thermostat.
7. Power at the poll. Vote.
8. Reduce, reuse, recycle. This is a feel good, virtue signaling act. Asia and China are no longer taking our trash and we’re not building any recycling plants that I’m aware of because there’s no market—our labor is too high. And since Covid carry-outs, I’ve never seen so much trash on pick up day.
9. Plan trips and commute. People have been doing this for 40 years.
10. Ready for 100. Sierra club marketing plans for 100% renewable energy which I think the protestors last year demanded by 2030—less than a decade. Remember, we’re at 17%.
11. Pep talk—change the world—but it’s about climate solutions and protecting the planet, not about HALT Climate Change.
12. Join Sierra Club.
The antidote for Sierra Club: read Michael Shellenbarger’s apology for being an alarmist about climate change. “ On Behalf Of Environmentalists, I Apologize For The Climate Scare.” He has a book, Apocalypse Never: Why Environmental Alarmism Hurts Us All and also articles, but the left really attacks him because he’s left the alarmist plantation. https://wattsupwiththat.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Schellenberger-Apology.pdf

Now its Climate Change, not a virus
So now Covid19 is about Climate Change, according to WHO Director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus And things will never go back to the way they were in 2019. No one benefits when more old people die of influenza or falls, but Covid19? Can make a lot of headway with that one.
No wonder no one complains when rioters don't wear masks. "This is where the the dot-connecting by the WHO, the United Nations, and other fanatical climate-crisis pushers comes into play. The solution to the “climate change crisis,” as they see it, can be summed up in two words: wealth redistribution. Even better in four words: massive worldwide wealth redistribution."
The more we're kept in fear and distrusting each other, the more control these power hungry people have.

Disparities
I wish every preacher, politician, prophet and prognosticator could read (or re-read) THE UNPRECEDENTED EXPANSION OF THE GLOBAL MIDDLE CLASS: AN UPDATE (2017) by the Brookings Institution, non-profit organization devoted to independent research and policy solutions. https://www.brookings.edu/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/global_20170228_global-middle-class.pdf Just as an aside, some conservatives consider Brookings part of the “deep state,” i.e. certainly not a Trump supporter.
I commented on that document at my blog in May 2017. I’d forgotten the eye opening research and conclusions and re-read it today. In light of the current pandemic and the self-flagellation I hear from educated, comfortably middle-class Christian Americans about health disparities, systemic racism, income gaps, struggling inner cities, and failures to thrive of various populations this report is truly stunning.
Here it is: About TWO-THIRDS of the WORLD are now middle class. Think on that a moment. When my great grandfather (b. 1828) set out as a young man to “go west” about 95% of the world existed in overwhelming poverty and the government provided none of the social services we expect today. All that charity was left to the churches and local communities—taking care of the sick and poor and providing children (who often worked in factories or as farm labor) with an education.
In 1990, more than a third of people on Earth lived on less than $1.90 a day, adjusted for local prices (this is the line the World Bank uses as its main metric). By 2013, barely 10 percent of people did; the rate had been cut by more than two-thirds. And most of the recent growth of the last 2 decades has not been among white people (aka Europe and North America) but among Asians and Africans. Even in the U.S. the riches ethnic groups are Asians—Indians and Filipinos. https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/the-biggest-asian-origin-communities-in-the-united-states.html
Of course, the obligatory reporting on global climate change and the percent of rich households (not middle class) consumption being in the U.S. is reported in the Brookings document. But then, think on this: “India today (2015) is already richer than Germany was when it introduced social insurance for all workers in the late 1880s. Indonesia is richer than the U.S. was in 1935, when the Social Security Act was passed. And China is richer than Britain was in 1948, when the National Health Service was introduced.” Social programs did not building the middle class—capitalism did. Brookings, being left of center didn’t say that, but it’s there, in print, and on-line.
Destroying the Trump economy (which actually came after this amazing report) and attempting to make us more dependent on government rather than the values that built our country and those of the countries rising today are critical for those who want global power. Whether you think that means Soros or a global cabal of capitalists, or “woke” international corporations, we seem to be in the battle for our lives.
We need to get back to work and to stop listening to those who are trying to defeat us.

It’s true—Princeton University offers counseling for climate activists who are anxious
“No, it's not a joke, or the Babylon Bee, it's a real website at a real top university, which a number of readers of this blog have probably graduated from or donate money to.
Dialogue Circle: Navigating the Climate Crisis
The climate crisis has been impactful and many have turned to activism and supporting environmental justice movements. This is very meaningful work and can also create a sense of despair, burnout, anger, hopelessness, and other distressing emotions. CPS counselors will help to facilitate a conversation and create a supportive space to process such experiences.
Mindfulness and Eco-Anxiety
Eco-anxiety is the fear we feel (sometimes acutely, sometimes as an underlying dread) about the climate crisis. Join in a discussion of how you experience eco-anxiety, and how mindfulness can help us respond to it. We’ll discuss managing worry loops, staying compassionate with difficult feelings and purpose-based coping, as well as practice a mindfulness meditation.
Forest Therapy
Forest therapy provides a chance to connect, slow down, and cope with the stressors of life, including eco-distress and other emotional experiences related to the climate crisis.”
