Nelson caves

"Sen. Ben Nelson has said he would support the health care bill, all but ensuring that Sen. Harry Reid will be able to secure the 60 votes he needs to set up final passage on Christmas Eve." American Spectator

Blackmail, corruption, bribery (he also gets more Medicaid money), deceit, lies, Chicago thugery, and God know what else--oh yes, no Christmas recess if you don't fall in line. Well, at least the air force base is safe. What a backbone.

Update: There is a rally in Omaha, Nebraska Sunday Dec. 20 demanding Senator Nelson switch his vote back to NO. The rally will be held at the Omaha Music Hall, 17th and Capitol. Doors open at 2 PM. Rally starts at 3 PM. Other participants besides Mike Huckabee will include Congressman Terry, Auditor Foley, Senators McCoy, Fulton, Krist, Price and Lautenbaugh.

This is so sad. They way they can be bought and sold, and more importantly that the leadership buys and sells them.

It's truly disgusting. Who would have thought that Nelson could be bought as easily as the Republicans were bought by the insurance monopoly.

The Republicans have no power gnop, so get over it.

Some people get upset over the lobbyist bribing our legislators. Now we have our legislators blatantly doing it with each other with Obama's encouragement and support. Can they get any more arrogant?

In this morning's paper the Associated Press's article noted that Senator Nelson "won" Medicaid tax relief for his state with the Reid amendment. The Associated Press continues to poison all our small local "news"papers.

And the Fat Lady is not starting to sing, in fact she ain't even warming up yet. On the news last night the Governor Of Nebraska told Senator Ben Nelson, "Thank you but we do not want the tax bribe." He pretty much is saying you embarrassed us and we want to pay our own way. I am sure the governor wants to take the hand out for the state away from Nelson so he cannot brag about it at election time. Also the foul language that is coming out of opposing politicians' mouths over the 60 senator vote is setting new lows in personal etiquette. I thought there might be violence in the street over this bill. Heck, there may be violence on the floor of the house and senate before this is over. The TV rating for C-Span is about to increase substantially. B.
