San Francisco is dying according to native
“I’m sorry. I know … There’s always some story in the east-coast press about how our city is dying,” she wrote. “When I set out reporting, I wanted to write a debunking-the-doom piece myself. Words are violence, unless spoken by Democrats and the Left
Democrats denied that Rand Paul when attacked in his own yard was in danger, and laughed at his pain and suffering--especially Pelosi's daughter, who said "His neighbor was right." He could have died and he had lung surgery. Yet the attacker Rene Boucher got a misdemeanor charge and the Pelosi attacker is being charged with attempted kidnapping of a Congress person or something ridiculous plus other serious charges because the victim was a Pelosi and a Democrat.
When a mentally ill man Jared Loughner shot Arizona's senator Gabby Giffords 15 years ago Democrats, of course, blamed Sarah Palin because there was a "target" in one of her political ads and that was enough to make her the attacker. Washington Post even claimed she was at fault--and later had to walk back that story and say there was no connection "established." Nice work, WaPoop.
Now there's been a mass shooting at a gay nightclub, and I've heard (although I haven't researched it--could be Twitter gossip) some are again blaming Trump and people who voted for him for a "hate crime." Democrats, who make violent disgusting public statements like insurrection or more serious than the Civil War, seem to believe their words don't matter. Do they think no gay people voted for Trump? That there are no gay Republicans? Do they own gay voters?
About 18 years ago there was a nightclub in Columbus that was the scene of a shooting, where 4 men plus the perp were killed (police shot him). Heavy metal music, some sort of band feud. The shooter had a history of mental problems with a military discharge and had wanted to be in the band. As near as I can tell from the photos, all the men including the policeman were white. No one called it a "hate crime." Same crime, with some diversity and inclusion, and it would be a hate crime.
I'm guessing from watching many crime shows, the 4 white college kids murdered in Idaho were killed by a white male who knew them, or at least one of them. If he's ever voted for a Republican, the Democrats will probably say Trump did it.
When 5 black college football players at University of Virginia were shot (3 died) by a black former player last week, where were the Democrats calling out all black football players as violent and racist? The shooter had a weapons violation and got a slap on the wrist for a hit and run. Where were the Democrats demanding tougher sentences for crime, because the shooter should have been in jail? As it is, because all were black, Dems have nothing to say.
Democrats' words. If they can't get political gain from a crime (race, gender, homosexuality), they just don't care.

The GIFT in San Francisco
I wonder what the proof of need will be? We have a SCOTUS justice who can't define a woman, and girly-men who can't compete against men saying they are a woman (whatever that is). I looked at the application (8 pages), not that one could live on $1200 in SF. It's simply setting them up for robbery and more mental confirmation they are victims, instead of providing them with mental health care. Here are the categories: (check all that apply, since apparently they can be more than one)

Glenn Beck encourages reading; his latest book list
The authors look back five hundred years and uncover a distinct pattern: Modern history moves in cycles, each one lasting about the length of a long human life, each composed of four eras—or "turnings"—that last about twenty years and that always arrive in the same order. In The Fourth Turning, the authors illustrate these cycles using a brilliant analysis of the post-World War II period.
The Splendid and the Vile: A Saga of Churchill, Family, and Defiance During the Blitz (2020)
takes readers out of today’s political dysfunction and back to a time of true leadership, when, in the face of unrelenting horror, Churchill’s eloquence, courage, and perseverance bound a country, and a family, together.
The Final Fight for Freedom: How to Save Our Country from Chaos and War (2022)
Not since the Civil War has our nation been so divided, bringing us to the edge of national suicide. And our enemies—China being chief among them—see our weakness. If we falter, they will act.
Race Marxism: The Truth About Critical Race Theory and Praxis (2022)
Lindsay explains what Critical Race Theory is, what it believes, where it comes from, how it operates, and what we can do about it now that we know what we're dealing with. It exposes Critical Race Theory for what it is by ranging widely across its own literature and a survey of some of the darkest philosophical currents of the last three hundred years in Western thought.
Woke Racism: How a New Religion Has Betrayed Black America (2021)
In Woke Racism, McWhorter reveals the workings of this new religion, from the original sin of “white privilege” and the weaponization of cancel culture to ban heretics, to the evangelical fervor of the “woke mob.”
The Extinction Trials (2021)
With time running out to save the last human survivors, Owen, Maya, and the other participants venture out into the changed world. What they find there is beyond anything they imagined. And the key to their future—and humanity's survival—is something no one expected.
San Fransicko: Why Progressives Ruin Cities (2021)
San Fransicko reveals that the underlying problem isn’t a lack of housing or money for social programs. The real problem is an ideology that designates some people, by identity or experience, as victims entitled to destructive behaviors. The result is an undermining of the values that make cities, and civilization itself, possible.
Eight Days in May: The Final Collapse of the Third Reich (2021)
A taut, propulsive narrative, Eight Days in May takes us inside the phantomlike regime of Hitler’s chosen successor, Admiral Karl Dönitz, revealing how the desperate attempt to impose order utterly failed, as frontline soldiers deserted and Nazi Party fanatics called on German civilians to martyr themselves in a last stand against encroaching Allied forces.
Why We Fought: Inspiring Stories of Resisting Hitler and Defending Freedom (2021)
These dramatic and inspiring personal stories shed light on some of the darkest days of World War II and one of the most perilous times in human history.
Putin's Playbook: Russia's Secret Plan to Defeat America (2021)
With the insight of a native, Koffler explains how Russians, formed by centuries of war-torn history, understand the world and their national destiny. The collapse of the Soviet empire, which Putin experienced as a vulnerable KGB agent in East Germany, was a catastrophic humiliation. Seeing himself as the modern “Czar Vladimir” of a unique Slavic nation at war with the West, he is determined to restore Russia to its place as a great power.

Decriminalizing shoplifting has hurt blacks
Using Target as another example, Mr. Riley notes the closure in recent years of Target stores in predominantly black sections of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Flint, Mich. in the wake of not only increased store thefts but also rioting, looting, and violent anti-police protests.
"If you are middle class and the nearest big-box store closes, you simply drive to a different one or its equivalent. But if you are a poor single mom without a car, your options are limited. You’ve just lost access, perhaps, to the closest, cheapest and widest variety of fresh produce, medicines and other goods. The alternatives are more-expensive convenience stores and less-healthy processed food for your family."
Mr. Riley says, "The fallout from antipolice protests in recent years has been all too predictable, as has the left’s response to it. Large employers quit urban areas after the riots of the 1960s as well, and some of those communities still haven’t fully recovered. Until the rule of law is restored and enforced, they probably never will."
How are our Democrats/socialists/progressives helping black communities? After destroying businesses with invitations to steal, they blame the investors and profit motive, and call the lack of retain or big box stores "systemic racism." Do all Democrats work for free? Do AOC and Bernie get paid? Do they have nice neighborhoods to shop in, or security guards to protect their belongings? And how about all those CRT free-lance workshops. Aren't they overpaid and living in abundance?

Carson on the homeless problem in California
I watched Fox's interview with Ben Carson about the federal government (my tax money) helping out the homeless disaster created by the Democrats with all their building red tape which only helps the wealthy and well-placed. He held up San Diego as a good example with wrap around services. California has one of the largest economies in the WORLD--they can solve this without Florida, Montana and Ohio money just by cleaning up their own local laws. It’s the same reasons their forests and neighborhoods burn. Environmental wackos, aka climate change alarmists.
“The leadership in San Diego has a grasp of the homelessness situation, which stems in part from rising housing costs,” Carson said. “To reduce homelessness in San Diego, the city has developed a housing plan which takes the appropriate steps to alleviate some of the impediments to the production of affordable housing.”
"Impediments" my granny's bean soup--it's mismanagement and swallowing all those "green" regulations.

Harm reduction in San Francisco
"The Department of Public Health distributes 4.45 million needles each year to the city’s 22,000 intravenous drug users. Heroin and prescription opioids are the most injected substances, though use of methamphetamines and Fentanyl is on the rise. It’s true that sterile needles reduce the transmission of blood-borne infections, and injecting narcotics under supervision can lower the risk of overdose and death. But harm reduction goes far beyond promoting these kinds of needle-safety measures. For example, At the Crossroads, a nonprofit, assembled “safe snorting kits” for at-risk and homeless youth. Baggies were filled with straws, chopping mats, plastic razor blades, and instruction sheets. Other groups offer crack-cocaine “safe-smoking” kits. A proposal to open “safe injection” sites, opposed by Jerry Brown, is favored by Governor Gavin Newsom, and is likely to succeed."https://www.city-journal.org/san-francisco-drugs-harm-reduction?

Can WSJ writers find a real victim?
I've complained here many times about the "news" stories in the Wall St. Journal, WaPo, and NYT. Most of the "social concern" stories belong on the editorial page, except that's what intelligent, well educated people read. But the one on Dec. 6 in the WSJ titled "House of cards; how the subprime mess hit poor immigrant groups" written by Jonathan Karp and Miriam Jordan really takes the cake for biased, bad reporting. What school graduated these incompetents? We really do have a subprime mess--but using one woman, Naira Costa, to make a blanket statement about immigrants, and she an illegal immigrant who used someone else's credit card to inflate her credit score, gets a home loan for $713,000 (on a cleaning job salary of $2,000/mo), never made a payment, and she's suing the broker? Oh PULEEZE! Just for good measure, they throw in her Pentecostal church as one of the bad guys, and in today's WSJ reader section, the pastor says she wasn't a member and besides he has no control over what members do. Karp and Jordan must have really been trolling the dregs to find this story.About Me
